This is book three in the series, and I would recommend reading books one and two before reading this one. I read the first two about four months ago and kinda forgot the story a bit, and felt a little lost at first.
This is a cute and fluffy romance with nothing too serious or triggering in it. The romance stays clean (just like books one and two), and the bad guys haven't been shown to do anything terrible yet.
The art in this book is just as beautiful as it was in books one and two.
Morgana, the FMC, is an eighteen-year-old witch who has always struggled to control her magic. However, due to circumstances in the last book, she has more power than she ever had before. She still doesn't have very good control of it, however. The mystery behind her mark and why she's an outcast witch goes into further detail here, but isn't explained fully.
Oz, the MMC, is an eighteen-year-old vampire who is very quickly developing feelings for Morgana. He's much softer in this book and talks to Rory a little bit about his feelings.
Rory has a big role in this book, and his backstory is explained. I was glad to see that he remains the funny "old man" and even tries to help give Oz the push he needs to spend time with Morgana. I enjoyed his comical character and hope he stays in it for the other books.
The plot doesn't necessarily move quickly in this one, but more is explained about why everything is the way it is. There is still a lot of mystery behind the Winterberry witches, the bad guy, and Morgana's powers.
I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.
I recommend this to readers who enjoy gentle romances, YA, witches, vampires, and beautiful artwork.
