In " Past Lives and the Akashic Record" Lois J. Wetzel,MFA, has written the long-awaited sequel to her first book, "Akashic Case Studies of Past Lives." Yet "Reincarnation" takes the reader on a trip to the past like none other. Once again, riveting stories of the past lives of scores of different people are narrated. These lifetimes go back hundreds of thousands of years on Earth, allowing the reader glimpses of long-lost civilizations not contained in our historical record. In this book, unlike the first, the author challenges our ancient history as wrong, giving ample examples of proof we have lived on this swirling ball of minerals for hundreds of thousands of years! She talks about her past life readings for clients, but she also shares some of the spontaneous past life memories which others, including famous people, have had.




The past lives of Lois' clients are shared so that the reader may learn and grow from the experiences of her clients. Naturally, clients' names and identifying information have been changed to protect their privacy. Surprisingly, some readers have said they actually felt some of their own past life issues were resolved as they read about the prior lifetimes of others.

Why learn about our past lives? Isn’t this lifetime enough to handle? Because the whole story of who we are has to do with everything we have experienced. We know that who we are has a lot to do with our childhoods. Why would it not have to do with who we were in our prior lifetimes? Knowing about our past lives allows us to know more fully who we actually are at the level of the Immortal Soul. Why are we terrified of, instantly despise, or immediately adore someone we’ve just met? Why would we avoid visiting a certain location, even though there is no reason? Why do cruise ships or horses terrify us? Why are we so powerfully drawn to bow-hunting, cake decorating, scuba diving, fashion design or sailing having never experimented with it before? Why do some things come so easily people swear we have done it before? Why were we born with these predispositions? Are the answers in past lives?

The author also includes correspondence between the clients and herself before and after the reading was done, so that we can see the client's experience of the reading, and the reaction to the reading and the information which came out of it.

"Reincarnation" also discusses some truly strange concepts, like parallel and overlapping lifetimes, and why it may be possible to be alive in two bodies in different locations on a timeline that overlaps. Or how can we die and come back into the same body, remembering the out-of-body event with conscious awareness of ourselves while not in our bodies?

All these topics and more lie between the pages of this fascinating and compelling book.

It is said that just before Gautama Buddha passed on, the entire span of his earthly lives unspooled before his mind’s eye. Reincarnation is a hugely fascinating and mysterious subject. How is it relevant? Is it helpful to know about our previous lives? Lois Wetzel, a gifted seer and healer (in the tradition of Edgar Cayce), tells us it is indeed helpful. By tapping into the Akashic records, or the “memory” of the universe, Lois has helped many people move beyond repeating, limiting, and sometimes self-destructive life patterns. She explains beautifully how she works, with careful details given to her method of “reading,” which is not the same as “past-life regression.” She cites numerous case histories that show how the work has resulted in an individual's deep healing, peace, and a restored sense of purpose. I highly recommend this book to anyone searching for a holistic understanding of the soul’s journey.

The Akashic Record, also known as "The Book of Life", is essentially a record of every soul that has ever existed and the different lifetimes lived by each soul. The records are thought to be guarded by angels or spirit guides, but can be accessed in order to gain information from past lives that will help the soul evolve and heal. The author of Reincarnation: Past Lives and the Akashic Record, Lois J. Wetzel, is an energy healer and Shaman who does past life readings from the Akashic Records. I discovered Wetzel's work when I read her first book, Akashic Records: Case Studies of Past Lives when I first started to research the Akashic Records after dreaming about the word akasha.

Although some of the readings Lois covers in her two books are really hard to fathom, I find her work to be nothing short of astonishing. I have always believed that we have all lived past lives and can carry emotional baggage from one lifetime to the next, so that is not a concept that I have any difficulty believing; however, Lois often speaks of other life forms from different solar systems and realms and despite my open mind, it is just a lot to grasp. During the readings, she speaks in such vivid detail of places forgotten by time and it is simply amazing, but she does not do this work for the purpose of entertainment. When Lois accesses a client's Akashic Records, it is usually with a specific question or problem in mind, and she states that the guardians of the records will only bring forth the past lives that the person needs to hear about at the time. Often, her clients will experience a great amount of healing after hearing about losses they experienced in a past life that continue to weigh heavily on their soul. While her first book was more focused on "case studies" or complete readings she did for different clients, this second book is more focused on the healing experienced by different clients as a result of the readings.

I really could rattle on about this all day... I'm just fascinated.

First of all I thought this was about people who were reincarnated and remembered their past lives. However, it is about a reader who tells people about their past lives. The stories about each life are very interesting and many would make great ideas for a novel. So I enjoyed it from that perspective.

While I am open to reincarnation, I am not so convinced about mediums etc. She relates some good lives to her clients. However many involve such things as: you were raped, tortured, burned at the stake, you were a pedophile or killed baby seals.

What if none off this is true and people believe these things about themselves? And if it was true, is it really be helpful to know about this now?

I do think the author is sincere in her beliefs; but may just have a wild imagination.

One of the most important books I've ever read. I can't recommend it enough! This book, paired with Lois' other book, Akashic Records: Case Studies of Past Lives, contains so much wisdom not only about how life really works, but also about ancient civilizations we no longer have clear records on (or any records at all). I found each person's reading absolutely fascinating and learned so much reading this. It was aha moment after aha moment and I told pretty much everyone who would listen about the amazing things I got out of reading it! I feel that this book should be much more well-known and I look forward to getting a past life reading from Lois or even becoming certified to provide them myself.

Interesting and Thought Provoking

I rated this book five stars because it was an interesting and thought provoking read. The author's descriptions of clients readings were compassionate yet did not shy away from the sometimes harsh circumstances of life. This book reaffirms my belief that it is well past the time to deny that reincarnation exits.
