Two ruthless mafia kings. One dangerously irresistible woman. And a blood-soaked vow no one can break.
When Lucy Cruz ditches her small-town roots for New York City, the last thing she expects is to fall into the bed—and under the control—of Silas a dangerous, dominant mafia boss who’s twice her age and twice as addictive. He’s powerful, possessive, and used to taking what he wants—and he wants her.
But just as Lucy is learning to love the luxury, the control, and the way Silas makes her body beg… another man steps into the shadows.
Antonio Giovanni. His rival. His enemy. And now, her obsession.
Caught between two violent kings in a war for control—and craving the chaos that comes with both—Lucy must decide how far she’s willing to go for love, lust, and survival.
Because in this world, vows aren’t made in churches. They’re written in blood. Vows in the Vein is a high-heat, dark mafia romance with an alpha antihero, luxury kink, obsession, betrayal, and no safe places—only choices that burn.

They are ruled by two ruthless mafia kings. One dangerous, irresistible, strong woman walks among them. And a vow soaked in blood that no one can ever break.
Lucy Cruz left her small town for the glitz and glamour of New York. She never expected that upon arriving in New York she would end up in the bed – and under the control – of none other than Silas Ramos; a man who is a dangerous, dominant mafia boss. He's not only twice her age but also twice as addictive. He's powerful and possessive and he's used to getting what he wants – and he's decided he wants her and her alone.
Lucy is just starting to love the luxury, control, and all the ways that Silas makes her body feel around her and the way her body begs around him. Then suddenly, she finds that there's another man who's stepping into the shadows.
Antonio Giovanni. Silas's rival and enemy. And now suddenly, he's also Lucy's obsession.
Now Lucy finds herself caught between two violent mafia kings who are in a dire war for ultimate control – and they are both craving the chaos that comes with war and control. And Lucy finds that now she has to decide how far she's willing to go not only for love and lust, but also for survival. Because Lucy has learned that vows aren't actually made in a church. They are written in blood and made in violence.

Vows In The Vein is A Dark Mafia Romance by Nadia Lacey. I am a big fan of Nadia Lacey's books so I was excited to get my hands on this book. I love a good mafia read and it had all the tropes and themes that I loved and I was ready to dive into this book and enjoy the read.
I loved Lacy. She had so much strength. She's also intelligent, brave, a bad-ass, kind, caring, empathetic, assertive, and she's also resilient. She's from a small town and she decides that she's not happy in that small town and would be happier in New York. There she meets mafia King Silas and gets wrapped up in his world. And it's surprising that she doesn't care that he's twice her age.
As she adapts to living in his world, the luxury, the control Silas has over her, and the way he makes her body feel and crave his touch. And when he's not there, when he's not touching her, her body craves him and searches for him, craving for his touch once again.
Silas is protective of Lucy even though he is old enough to be her father. He doesn't care about their age difference. He craves Lucy as much as she craves him. He is fierce, obsessive, a mafia king in every way possible and he'll do anything and everything to protect this woman he's found now captivates him.
As Lucy adapts to this new world that she has found herself in, Silas's enemy, his rival, and another mafia King Antonio Giovanni slips into the shadows, watching both Silas and Lucy. And the more he watches the two from the shadows the more his obsession with Lucy grows. He wants nothing more than to take her from Silas. To hurt Silas the way that Silas has hurt him so many times over.
Now war has broken out between the two rival mafia kings. And it's up to Lucy to decide what she's going to do next. She's quickly learned that while for some women vows are made in churches, for her, vows will never be made in churches, vows will be made soaked in blood. And she has to decide just how far she's going to go to survive. Because in this war, the survivors will be up to her.
Vows in the Vein is full of passion, spice, and action. It will enthrall you from the first page to the very last word. Nadia Lacey has done a great job in writing this book and I fell in love with Lucy, Silas, and Antonio.
The characters that Nadia has created will captivate you and the chemistry that they all have will jump off the page and will run over your skin like electricity. Each character has their own personality, their strength, and their own weakness. They strive to be better people and overcome their weaknesses.
I recommend this book if you enjoy a dark mafia book with tons of hot spice and a strong passionate FMC and two obsessive and possessive mafia kingpins. And if you haven't read anything by Nadia Lacey then you are missing out and you really need to start. She is an author who knocks out every book that she writes and I can't wait to read her next book.
I loved this book it was right up my alley. I am so glad i got to arc for this book. Two ruthless mafia kings and one woman who would not be happy. I think the book was written well and i could not put it down. The FMC Lucy has got herself involved with 2 mafia kings that are lethal and very dominate. They both want her and will do whatever to keep her. The MMC Silas and Antonio are enemies. Lucy is with Silas but has an obsession with Antonio. This story has twist and turns that will keep you hooked and you will not put this down for nothing. I swear as soon as i had something pegged bam it wasn’t what i thought. This book didn’t end how i thought it would. Yet i loved it so much and will buy this in paperback cause this is one i wanna remember for a while.
why the hateful bad reviews on this book I thought this was absolutely amazing ! don't let the reviews defeat your writing babe this is a dark mafia romance & the kings were 🥵 the spicy in this Nadia you've outdone yourself I am lucky to be on the street team & I had the opportunity to beta read this It was captivating the banter, the suspense, chefs kiss 💋 I can't wait to have this added to best 2025 reads on my shelf
ARC Review 3 stars Format: Digital/Kindle Pub Date: July 11, 2025 This is a mafia romance novella I really liked Lucy our MC and her heritage. The only thing I didn’t really care for was in insta love/lust. There’s no mafia things really in it just two mafia kings fighting over Lucy which is ok but it wasn’t for me. If that’s your thing and you like plotless smut well this is for you
