Highlights:
1. Speed reading comes with a high level of concentration and improving your ability to focus will be beneficial in almost every single area of your life.

2. Fixate your eyes on a point as far left as you can possibly see and then move it to a point at the same height in the right corner of your eyes. Practice this back and forth movement about 10 times and try to push your vision even further each time. Also, keep in mind the fact that the speed at which you do this should be as fast-paced as you can manage, but that the movement should also be smooth.

3. Ideally, you should take a break every 30 minutes which will not only allow you to rest your eyes, but will also help you memorize more of what you have just read.

4. Not sleeping enough can affect your power to focus and this can affect your reading speed.
Read whenever you get the chance – but don’t leave one day without at least 30 minutes of practice.

Some helpful tips

This book was a very quick read that provided practical tips for increasing your reading speed and comprehension. Some of the tips were taught to us in primary school, but there are others that weren't. Personally, the most useful tips to me were turning off the voice in your head and learning to not stress over the fear of missing details.

Learned a little

Didn’t really learn anything too life-changing. Quick and easy read though. I speed read it...20 words is right now. Now!

No new techniques for me, but a nice quick reminder. And I don’t consider the first comprehension a good one for measuring comprehension. It only tests your ability to parrot back statistics.

This was a really good look at a speed reading method that I think has some potential. I certainly didn't agree with all he says, but I did learn a lot. I especially liked the 3 assessment tests that he included in the back of the book. I started off at 480 wpm and ended up at 820 WPM. Not bad for a free Kindle eBook.

Not a lot of meaningful tips - more a listing of what to do but not how to do it. For example, you're instructed that reading the words in your head will slow you down. Instead of tips on how to stop this practice, you're just instructed to not do it.

One of the better speed reading ebooks I've read. Sets itself apart from a few others I read this past week with additional information not contained in the others. Rated this one best of four.
