The Favor

Rate this book
Mia Gregory, a fiercely independent graphic designer, has one conquer the design world and avoid her family's relentless interrogations about her single status. But the annual Gregory Family Summer Reunion looms, threatening a week of suffocating judgment and unsolicited advice. Her solution? A fake boyfriend.

Enter Sam Forester, the devastatingly charming marketing executive Mia previously humiliated herself in front of during a tequila-fueled night. He's the last person she wants to see, yet he's the perfect candidate for her elaborate handsome, charismatic, and a gentleman, even when she's at her worst. Sam, intrigued by Mia and with a favor owed to her best friend's brother, agrees to the "strictly fake" arrangement.

As they navigate the treacherous waters of family scrutiny, their undeniable chemistry ignites. What begins as a carefully constructed façade quickly blurs into something terrifyingly real. From whispered confessions to intimate moments, the lines between their performance and genuine emotion dissolve. Sam's unexpected kindness, his effortless charm with her family, and his genuine belief in her ambition chip away at Mia's carefully built walls.

But Mia's past fears and a deep-seated resistance to vulnerability threaten to unravel everything. Can she overcome her own self-sabotage and embrace a love that started as a lie? Or will her fear push away the one person who truly sees her, even when she's not pretending?

Romance.

This book is such a fun mix of humor, family drama, and heartfelt romance. I could relate so much to Mia’s struggle with family pressure, and Sam was just the perfect balance of charm and kindness."

So fun! This one is definitely more PG-13 than her other books, but the love story is so good and I loved the plot arc. Very fun easy read.

This one is closed door so not your 'normal' Parker Stone book. But great story, personable characters, great character journey. A quick, fun read.
