Poe: From Hell - Hunting Jack the Ripper

Rate this book
Trying to find help to cure his beloved Eleonora from her catatonic condition, Edgar A. Poe commits her to the famed Bethlem Royal Hospital in London, where he was treated for his lingering memory loss two years prior in 1886.

When not visiting her, he and his friend Rowlf Maarschalk find some local lodgings while looking for more permanent prospects. But soon Poe realises that there is something sinister brewing, not only in the East of London, but likely in the very boarding house where he resides.

Soon he is beseeched by Scotland Yard to assist in solving a plague of brutal murders, but beleaguered by horrific nightmares and dangerous memory lapses, Poe soon finds himself unable to explain some of his inadvertently alarming exploits.

Is he on the right trail while pursuing the so-called Phantom of Death in the streets of Whitechapel? Or are his very own footsteps leading investigators on the bloody track to discovering the true identity of the Ripper?
