An alpha small-town mechanic. A sunshine runaway. A flat tire, and the only one who can fix it is her brother’s best friend.

Nova
Moving back home was never part of the plan. But here I am, tired, directionless, and already slashing my tire on day one. When I limp into the nearest garage, guess who’s standing there covered in grease and muscle?
Jace. My brother’s best friend.
The man I secretly crushed on before I disappeared four years ago.
Now he’s even broader, even quieter, and still refuses to cross the line. He says he’s loyal, that he won’t break boundaries.
But the way he looks at me says otherwise.
Now, I am learning to ask for the things I want and not feel bad about it, be it love or intimacy, but is he enough to make me not run away again?

Jace
She walked out of my life four years ago and left behind a mess I never cleaned up. I buried myself in engines and silence, pretending she was a dream.
But now she’s back. In my garage. In my space. In my head.
Hotter and more beautiful than ever… and impossible to ignore.
She wants me to risk everything.
But what if she leaves again? What if loving her means losing the only family I’ve ever known?

About the author

Luna Verne

4 books
Luna Verne is a dreamweaver who once shied away from romance, both in her life and in the pages of literature, because of its overwhelming power. Yet, when she gently cracked the walls around her, love slipped through the cracks, igniting a fire of inspiration that compelled her to weave tales of passion and connection. Now, clad in pajamas all day in her sun-kissed haven in San Diego, she crafts a bit of nerdy contemporary romances, inviting readers to journey with her into the enchanting world of vulnerable and heartfelt love stories.

One of the best novellas I have read. The details, the plot, the heat. The very thing was spot on. For a short read it offered a full story and leaves you wanting to see what happens next. I can not recommend this book enough.
