A lethal virus. A stolen secret. One man’s fight to stop a global catastrophe.

Dr Wei Zhang is a brilliant scientist with a deadly secret—he’s discovered a new weapon unlike anything the world has seen. Desperate to defect from the Chinese state that now controls his research, Zhang risks everything for a chance at freedom.

Charlie Cooper, covert operative for Group Fifteen, is dispatched to eliminate Zhang before his work can be weaponised. But when Cooper uncovers the truth, he realises Zhang may not be the enemy—and someone else is pulling the strings.

Caught between a ruthless pharmaceutical empire and shadowy intelligence interests, Cooper is betrayed, hunted, and running out of time.

Fast-paced, gripping, and disturbingly plausible, Exposure is a razor-sharp espionage thriller for fans of Lee Child, Gregg Hurwitz, and Robert Ludlum.

Mark Dawson was born in Lowestoft and grew up in Manchester and Chicago. He has worked as a lawyer and currently works in the London film industry. His first books, "The Art of Falling Apart" and "Subpoena Colada" have been published in multiple languages.

He is currently writing two series. Soho Noir is set in the West End of London between 1940 and 1970. The first book in the series, "The Black Mile", deals with the (real life but little known) serial killer who operated in the area during the Blitz. "The Imposter" traces the journey of a criminal family (think The Sopranos in austerity London and you'd be on the right track).

The John Milton series features a disgruntled special agent who aims to help people to make amends for the terrible things that he has done. Mark, as a child of the 80s, will freely admit that he watched a lot of The Equalizer in his youth.

Mark lives in Wiltshire with his family.

Go Charlie

This was an outstanding thriller! Mark Dawson continues to develop these characters in an awesome way. The twists and turns, I didn't see coming made this a great ride and caused me to greatly anticipate the next book. My only problem is I've read every single book from all characters, and I hate to wait!!

Another epic read from the master storyteller that is Mark Dawson. Great plot and a fabulous ending.
The only problem is that these novellas are too short.
Would love a full-length novel of Charlie with perhaps a Milton crossover too

Charlie actually obeying orders in Singapore. Will a former colleague get away with a double cross...

Will the target escape....or not?

The tenth outing for Charlie is a page turner. Intrigue and failure?

Mark Dawson has the ability to keep the reader's attention to see what will happen next. This book is unputdownable, and I highly recommend it. Happy reading! 😊

Another fine novel.

Mark Dawson’s latest in the Charlie Cooper Thrillers series is another gem. Dawson has the rare ability to create diverse characters that are interesting and he writes male and female characters well. His books are sparkling clean, no mistakes slip by his editors, and his prose is simply a joy to read.
