Twenty-one-year-old Jamie is in for a rude awakening. What starts as a romantic Christmas getaway to Big Bear, California with his boyfriend, Daddy Tom, quickly devolves into a snow-covered nightmare. They've driven all the way from Brentwood, and Daddy Tom even promised Jamie a new jacket from a small boutique. But when Daddy Tom disappears after making a phone call, Jamie is left stranded, his phone dead and his pockets empty.
As the snowstorm rages, Jamie waits, the chill seeping into his bones, until the store lights finally dim. Alone and without a jacket, he stumbles into the biting wind, eventually collapsing by the side of the road, tears freezing on his cheeks. Just as hope dwindles, a red truck pulls up, and a mysterious stranger offers a lifeline, driving Jamie to his cabin. But who is this man, and what will become of Jamie in the desolate, snow-covered mountains?
This book is part of A Little Season Four multi-author series. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone where every little is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all?

The plot of this story is what drew me in and I was enjoying this book until about halfway through when all of a sudden it felt as if the author was just throwing things into the storyline willy-nilly. First, Spencer left his grandfather’s ranch at eighteen and ended up in a band in California. When his grandpa died he left the band because of a promise he made to his grandfather to return to the ranch and run it. Btw, this was a horse ranch in Montana. Second, I find out that Spencer’s a licensed vet and works at an animal hospital. What? When did he have the time to go to college, etc.? Third, Spencer’s a billionaire. Okay…. I liked the characters and if the author had stuck to the original plot line, the story would have been shorter, but IMO it would’ve been much better. I also didn’t really get a feel for Jamie as a little. Too many inconsistencies to make it real…even a fictional real.
A Little Christmas 4: Jamie is part of the multi author A Little Christmas Season 4 series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the whole series. This is the story of Jamie and Spencer. This story really hit me in the feels. Jamie is just the sweetest little and I just wanted to hug him. Spencer is the kind of daddy that I would want. I loved all side the characters also. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series. received a free review copy
When Spencer finds Jamie huddled in the snowdrift, he immediately takes him to his cabin to warm up, then find out what happened. Embarrassed, Jamie makes up a story about being mugged, but experienced Daddy that he is, Spencer knows this isn’t the truth. As Jamie and Spencer help his friend Nathan and his little Alfie get ready for the Find A Daddy Christmas Mixer, the reason Spencer is in town from his Montana home, more of Jamie’s story about his Daddy Tom comes out. Spencer feels very protective of Jamie, along with a sexual attraction between the two. As they learn more about each other and their pasts, they grow closer and Jamie begins to trust and hope for a future with Dady Spencer. Their pasts intrude to cause some problems, but Jamie has a chance for a new life in Montana with Daddy Spencer, provided that the new drama that arises can be settled and both agree on where and what their future could hold.
Spencer is a caring Daddy, making Jamie feel safe, seen and wanted, and hopefully loved soon. Jamie gives Spencer someone to love and care for, and he also is always there to support Spencer as secrets from his past are revealed. Spencer includes Jamie in decision making, and is always mindful of his feelings and concerns. Characters are believable, events are too, as the two find their way into and through this new relationship and growing connection. The story moved smoothly, mostly low angst and low spice, dealing with issues of abandonment, secrets, and loss from Jamie’s point of view, but we also see Jamie learn to stand up for himself against the one who has made him seem small and worthless. It was an interesting read, and I liked the ending, was a bit different than I expected. I would recommend this book and the series if Daddy/little boys is your thing.

Jamie, twenty-one and hopeful for a romantic Christmas getaway with his boyfriend Daddy Tom, finds himself abandoned in Big Bear, California. What begins with promises of gifts and holiday cheer turns into a nightmare when Tom disappears, leaving Jamie stranded in a raging snowstorm with no phone, money, or protection. As the cold closes in and despair takes hold, Jamie collapses by the roadside, only to be rescued at the last moment by Spencer, a mysterious stranger in a red truck. Taken to Spencer’s cabin, Jamie’s fate shifts — but questions linger about who Spencer truly is and what awaits him in the isolated, snow-covered mountains.
I loved this story about a young man betrayed and left to freeze, whose unexpected rescue may hold both salvation and mystery in the desolate winter wilderness. I also loved that in the story survival is not just about enduring the elements, but about finding the strength to keep hoping when all seems lost. It was great that this story was about the collision of betrayal and salvation, where survival in the cold becomes a metaphor for emotional endurance, and where a stranger’s kindness may thaw the deepest wounds. This was full of emotions and feelings. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
'Jamie didn’t say anything. He couldn’t. But for the first time since Daddy Tom drove away, he let himself believe it might be true. That maybe, just maybe, he had been abandoned, but not completely. Not if someone like Spencer was willing to sit with him in the quiet and hold him through the storm.'
I really enjoyed this book. A great hurt/comfort romance. I loved both Jamie and Spencer. My heart absolutely broke for Jamie and what Tom did to him; how he'd treated him. Spencer took care of him and emotionally supported him with care and patience. Though I admit I did get caught up in the suspense and drama with Tom and Billy. I'm kind of iffy how things wrapped up with Tom. His final actions surprised me based on what was learned of him before and I'm not sure they fit. I can be petty and vindictive and would have went on the offensive where it would have really hurt Tom, but I guess that what I would have done wasn't even a passing thought that these guys are better than me lol
This story was a journey for Jamie to finally find his voice and his courage. To finally feel loved and chosen. And I would have loved to actually meet a character discussed near the end. 4 stars
This story starts with a real emotional punch. Jamie sets out expecting a cosy Christmas getaway with Daddy Tom, only to be abandoned in the middle of a snowstorm with nothing but disappointment and a dead phone to keep him company. His fear and vulnerability are written so vividly that you can’t help but ache for him as he tries to figure out what to do next.
Enter Spencer, whose arrival feels like a warm blanket in the middle of a blizzard. The contrast between the cold neglect Jamie has known and the gentle, instinctive protectiveness Spencer offers is genuinely heart-warming. Their connection builds softly, with Spencer showing what care, stability, and affection are supposed to look like—without pressure, without conditions.
It’s a tender, wintry tale about finding someone who sees your worth when you’ve been made to feel small. Sweet, comforting, and quietly emotional, it’s a lovely addition to the series.

A Little Christmas: Jamie by Brina Brady is about Jamie, a nursing student who trusted the wrong man with his heart. On a trip to Big a bear for a Christmas vacation Jamie found himself feeling like he was disposable when his boyfriend ditched him with his wallet, clothes still in the car, no jacket, a dead cell phone in the middle of winter storm. Spencer, a former rock star turned cowboy, was on his way home when he found Jamie on the side of the road freezing, no way could he just leave him. As Spencer and Jamie try to navigate their attraction they are forced to confront their past with their exes at a mixer and family secrets are revealed in the most brutal and harsh fashion. This story was so wonderful with the descriptions you could almost smell the cold and bite of the snow, to the smell of pine in the forest. You get to see that no one is ever disposable and when you find the right person to love you as you are, make the life you want worth fighting for in the grand scheme of things.
I loved the plot of the story. How Jamie’s Daddy Tom left him shopping and didn’t come back, and while Jamie was walking in the snow Spencer saw him and offered him a ride.
I’m not too big into the insta love type stuff. And this book was definitely insta love. But I’m not going to hold that against this book because I think a lot of Daddy/little books are very insta love.
There were a couple things that kind of threw me off. The whole conversation between Jamie and Daddy Tom, I felt like Tom could have done a little more explaining in his part to why he did what he did. Just to give some closure. Then there was the letters/messages for both Spencer and Jamie received at different times. I don’t want to spoil it just in case others are reading this before reading the book. But I feel like they were a little out of the blue and didn’t really make sense. Other than that I did enjoy the book.

Choosing to live your best life! Jamie, is on his way to a winter vacation in Big Bear with his boyfriend Daddy Tom. Daddy Tom was always moving away from Jamie while he made mysterious phone calls. Jamie is abandoned with all his possessions, a dead phone left in the car, no appropriate clothing, no money and no way out. He is rescued by Spencer, who is on his way to a vacation cabin. Spencer is a former rock star who moved to the Montana ranch as a promise to his GrandDad. He's on vaca where he can step out and be himself. Spencer feels an unexpected urge to protect Jamie, so he steps into that role. Brina, gives us a tense story that may start out sadly but grows and steps out of comfort zones. Spencer has to make some crucial decisions and choices that affect the rest of his life and his future happiness. Intense story, lovely cover art. Everyone deserves to be seen, to be valued. Those are two things that have been painfully absent in Jamie's relationship with his Daddy and that become even more prominent when he's abandoned at a store without anything. Spencer finds Jamie cold and wet at the side of the road on his way to his cabin in Big Bear. The more Spencer finds out about Jamie the more he needs and wants to protect and care for this little. Spencer wants to be Jamie's Daddy, and only hopes Jamie wants the same. Spencer is determined to show Jamie what a loving relationship looks like and hope that Jamie will come back with him to Montana. Love shouldn’t come at a cost, or be forced, but freely given.

Jamie on his way to Big Bear for a fun week with his daddy finds himself alone on the side of the road, to be found by Spencer. Spencer is back in California to find a boy and return to his ranch in Montana. When he finds Jamie, he wants to show this boy what is to have a Daddy who actually cares. Loved the dynamics with Nathan & his boy Alfie were a beautiful balance to the story showing them what is like to be a strong couple amongst the chaos. Their friendship helped pave for Jamie & Spencer to have an actual chance at a relationship, something tells me if they were left on their own miscommunications ultimately would have occurred, versus what did happen where they talked and worked through any of the issues that may have arose. I adored seeing both Jamie & Spencer being able to confront their pasts, but at the same time it started to feel like too much put into a shorter story. It didn't take away from continuing with the story, just felt some parts were unnecessary filler to me. Overall an enjoyable read.
Jamie is in a relationship with Daddy Tom who turns out to be a manipulative man who has no love or even really want for Jamie, as he abandons him in the snow in winter. Luckily Spencer rescues the poor cold boy, and discovers how sweet and kind he is. But Spencer doesn't only rescue Jamie, later in the story, Jamie rescues Spencer. I really enjoyed the dynamics of Spencer's friend and his boy Alfie as well. Tom was not a kind man, and I think if he ended up with Spencer's former boy, they deserved each other. Jamie and Spencer were lucky enough to find each other and find what they needed together in this lovely story.

ARC review This is part of A Little Season 4, a multi-author series. Jamie has been really unlucky in life. He's a little whose daddy just left him in the most brutal way. Luckily Spencer is driving by just then, rescuing Jamie from the worst day of his life. Spencer, who's a daddy, know how to make Jamie feel seen, safe and loved. Slowly but surely their building a bond between them. A long the way there are obstacles, but together they can make it. Jamie is adorable and Spencer is a perfect caring daddy. A wonderful read with a lot of content. It was exciting and kept the suspense going until the last page. A hurt-comfort, daddy- little and good but nosy friends.
Emotional, involving, engrossing!! His Daddy left him at a store and said he would be right back. Daddy took his suitcase, backpack, and wallet with him. He never came back. Spence came to town looking for a Little. Instead he found Jamie on the side of the road in a snowstorm. Together they navigate their way towards each other. When I reached the end of this book, I felt like I was leaving family!!.

The first half of this was great, awesome set up and it hit all the feels you want a Daddy/Little story to hit. But shortly after the mid-way point it just devolved into a choppy mess. Inconsistent storylines and all the characters just kept making decisions that made zero sense. Ending was not satisfying in the slightest; and honestly felt a bit rushed. Like the author wrote the first half – took a break, forgot about it, and had to wrap it up over in less than a day. It’s not unreadable but far from Brina’s best work.
I absolutely loved this story about a little who was left alone and then found by his forever Daddy. I could feel the pain that Jamie felt when he was abandoned by his supposed Daddy Tom. At the same time I am glad that Daddy Tom left him so his Daddy Spencer could find him and bring him back to life. He also found some good friends along the way too. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves mm romance stories around the holidays.

Jamie and Spencer story was intense. It had betrayal, manipulation, insecurities, and second chance at love, hurt and comfort, a faulty set of values that causes hurt, envy, disdain, jealousy, secrets, and in the end redemption of certain characters. They had numerous obstacles in their way that made them stronger and more confident in their worth and feelings.
"This laughter, this closeness, this warmth was the beginning of something real."
This book was very different than I thought it would be based on the blurb. I felt bad for sweet Jamie who just wanted someone to love him for who he is. Spencer was so much more than the rancher from Montana that he started out as. Their story was a true love story between two people who have been hurt in the past and have now found the one who makes them whole. There's a lot going on as the story progresses and some unexpected twists and surprises. This is a sweet Christmas love story with some spicy scenes and it will make you feel good by the end.
I was hooked from the very beginning. It caught my attention so well that I finished it in one day. It deals with a lot of emotions - betrayal, abandonment, insecurities of feeling not enough, just to say a few. The found a way to navigate and overcome their pasts, along with the obstacles they face along the way. I loved this book and recommend it. It's a cute Christmas story to read while sitting back and relaxing by the fireplace.
This was such a wonderful story! Jaime and Spencer were fantastic characters and were perfect for each other. Jaime was just the sweetest! There was a lot of miscommunication and insecurities amongst other things in this book but everything got sorted out and these two got their HEA. A very enjoyable read that brings out all the feels!.

I was totally captivated by Jamie and Spencer's story. This hurt/comfort, Christmas theme, second chance at love, is such a great read for the holidays. Great plots and characters, ( both charming and detestful), great banter and dialogue, emotional, hugs your heartstrings but heals those hearts in the process too...I suggest tissues, and a hot drink, warm blanket and read this amazing book today!!.

Jamie is left stranded on the streets of California on his way to what was supposed to be a romantic weekend with his "Daddy" Tom. Stranded, cold & alone he is picked up by Spenser. Spenser is looking for a "boy" of his own & feels Jamie may be it. After what happened to Jamie, he's unsure about Spenser. Taking his time Spencer shows Jamie what a true "Daddy" should be like. Low angst, HEA.

This book is part of the multi author A Little Christmas season 4 series and this is Jamie’s story. After being abandoned by his boyfriend/Daddy Tom Jamie is helped by Spencer who sees him at the side of the road, Spencer is also a Daddy and can see that Jamie needs some care and he wants to give him it, the story is a holiday instalove, hurt/comfort, Daddy/little read that I really enjoyed.
Jamie was left by his ‘daddy’ Tom at a shop by Big Bear. He was found by Spencer sitting in a snow bank. Spencer was on his way to a Daddy/Little mixer in Big Bear and he drove from Montana. This story is full of miscommunication, insecurities, betrayals and past heartaches. That may sound heavy but the story is beautiful, romantic and ends happily
A sweet little romance about being enough and finding the right one who appreciates you. Jamie and Spencer are so good for each other that you quite forget that Tom is a jerk and Billy is utterly ridiculous. The end was a bit surprising but provides a complete set of the feels. A great choice for a cold night with a warm fire and some cocoa.
A beautiful and heartwarming romance. Jamie was so sweet. I felt for him after he is abandoned by his Daddy Tom but meets another Daddy in Spencer. There's plenty of drama and miscommunication. Loved the characters and their development.

i absolutely love this book. wonderful characters and a beautiful fast paced whirlwind romance. both mcs are going through their own stuff but are able to communicate to each other and understand each others viewpoints. with the support from each other and friends they are able to free themselves from their past and make their own future.
