This might be the best of the series, because it focuses more narrowly on the main couple, both an enemy to lovers and arranged marriage pair. Like the other tales in the series, there is a duke who marries for dynastic reasons and a lady who has to learn how to duchess. Sex scenes are off stage, but babies mysteriously appear. abandoned dogs. Concussions. plunging into icy lakes and risking pneumonia. very fast read--you can knock off two in a day. The language is modern, while referring to the ton and modistes, etc.
A somewhat usual story with a small twist, Jane’s twin was caught in a conversation, not noticing everyone had left but them. But Jane knew her twin, Diane was so shy, the Duke Richard would destroy her. He is so cold and duty driven, and protective of his sister Harriet. Enjoyable!
A deliciously scandalous tale of wit and woe, where the razor-sharp tongues of the aristocracy slice through reputations faster than a champagne cork at a society soirée. Watch as whispers and innuendos dance a treacherous waltz, gleefully dismantling families with the precision of a surgeon and the glee of a gossipmonger.
Richard was a man very set in his ways. Forced into marriage, he found his other half and was able to relinquish his need for control. Characters were enjoyable, and the book moved to a good place.in
I thoroughly enjoy Jane and Richard happy ending. They are two spirited individuals who started their marriage of convenience on the wrong foot but through compromise and respect discovered they are soulmate. Highly recommended read
The Duke agrees to Marry Diana but Jane, her twin, swaps places with her before anyone can tell the difference. A marriage begins with compromise but gradually moves into love. An accident proves the Endpoint is truly that.
It was nice to read such a gentle love story. Not big dramas but a truly beautiful story of enemies becoming friends first. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end. I hope you love it too.
This book was hard to get into for me. Once I got past the first third, it became interesting. The characters were the usual sort.,. Guys full of arrogance and unwillingness to bend. The girls essential kindness and beauty wore him down.
