Hi there! I'm a Toronto-based writer and editor who works in both prose and graphic novel formats, usually for younger readers.
My current projects include:
Dungeons and Dragons Young Adventurer's Guides - introducing new players to the classic role-playing game through amazing new artwork and streamlined prose.
Manga Classics - faithful adaptations of western literary classics with Japanese-style artwork.
Beyond writing, my interests include historical costuming, comics, manga, young adult fiction, magic realism, chocolate, and the oxford comma.
This lovely little book contains a bounty of patterns: 7 amigurumi projects, 9 wearable designs, and 4 household items. Each entry has a bit of lore to introduce the pattern, and there’s something for everyone here. The owl bear cub has details to fawn over, the bag of holding has a remarkably crafted design, and the mimic dice bag is in and of itself worth the price of admission. I’d venture that the D20 pillows can be used as both dice and playful clobbering devices!
I bought this book to make something for someone I care about, but I think I’ll be making some more for myself too!
5+ I'm absolutely over the moon with this one. My husband pre-ordered it for my Saint Valentine's Day and I've been counting the days and collecting the yarn. I thought it would only have figures but it has the step-by-step for clothes, bags, and accessories as well. He knows my fav is the beholder and mimic and it also has a red dragon and a mindflayer as well!!!! Freaking Awesome. From beginning to intermediate level.
