With no skills besides scoring the perfect stilettos, maxing out her credit card, and partying till dawn, Marisol Winston is about to get a lesson in the real world—and in love...
After years of perfecting her party-girl image, Marisol wants to open an L.A.-based deluxe boutique. Unfortunately her father refuses to foot the bill until she agrees to do a stint in shopaholic rehab. Surely she can survive a few weeks without Dior, right? But part of Marisol's anti-retail remedy entails getting a real job as a nanny/housekeeper in Podunkville, Arizona. Suddenly she’s knee-deep in PB&Js and dirty laundry, surprised to find herself just a teensy bit smitten with her three sticky-fingered charges—and their deliciously distracting Dad (even if he does wear discount denim).
Quarterback Cash Connelly has one last shot at being re-signed to the pros, which means he needs a nanny who runs a tight ship. Marisol seems to know way more about Tiffany’s than T-ball, and she has more miniskirted sex appeal than is strictly necessary for laundering jockey shorts. But his kids seem positively smitten. Well, who wouldn't love a woman who serves up ice cream for breakfast? Now if only Cash can find a way to stick to his strict hands-off-the-nanny policy...

So we have an heiress who spends her days shopping (mostly for gifts) and gets sent to a recovery program. She does iffy in it and her work placement is to be a nanny/housekeeper to an ex (trying to be current) football player and his 6 year old triplets.
Marisol has felt inadequate most her life, which is why she showers people with gifts. Cash had a bad time when his wife threw him over for the replacement quarterback and then took just about every penny he had. They both have a lot of growing to do, and luckily there are 3 adorable and mischievous kids around to help.
Let's Misbehave is one of those books that gets better as it goes along. I really was not enjoy it at the start, I kept putting it aside, but by the end it was an okay read. I still didn't love it, but it was cute.
Marisol is a poor little rich girl who doesn't feel loved so she shops more than she should. She is always trying to buy people's approval through gifts and I really didn't like her. At the beginning of the book she annoyed me so much. The way she talked and just everything about her bugged me. Really I used it as a book to read at night when I couldn't sleep (instead of something I loved and would get into and then stay up way too late). Her personality just annoyed me.
I liked Cash in the story. He is a football player who had some problems and now is trying to get back into the pros. He has triplets who he is watching over the summer while his ex goes galavanting around with her new guy. He was so great with his kids. He is always trying to do the right thing and be a great dad.
When Cash needs a new nanny his ex mother-in-law recruits Marisol. As part of her shopaholics rehab they have to do a work program and she gets stuck in the middle of nowhere as Cash's nanny. So he has gone through 4 professional nannies already and hasn't been able to keep anyone. He doesn't really have many options left and he is not sure what he will do if Marisol doesn't work out.
Fortunately Maisol is magic and is instantly amazing with the kids! Yey her! Really it didn't make any sense. I totally buy that 4 pros couldn't handle the kids, but Marisol's child like wonder just won them over and they are perfect for her. Yep.
So right away Cash and Marisol are attracted to each other, and she wants to do something about it. Cash tries to stay away because for one thing she is his employee. It doesn't work too well though and they start having a happy little family. Yey.
Really as the book went on I started to like them together. Marisol wasn't as annoying as she was in the beginning, and Cash is good with her. By the end I thought it was an alright read, much better than I thought it would turn out. I still didn't love Marisol, but she was okay. They both have some issues to work through to get to their happily ever after and it it did get better as it went along.
Marisol Winston is an heiress to a fortune. In her early 30s, she is still a party girl, attracting the media and spending as if money were water. Her family and friends arrange for an intervention and check her into Dzeel to help her overcome her shopping compulsion. Part of her recovery is a work assignment. She is placed with Cash Connelly, a divorced father of three who needs a nanny/housekeeper for the summer while he works on re-entering his former profession: professional football.
In the beginning of the book (her time at Dzeel), Marisol comes across as a spoiled, unlikeable brat. But once she gets to the Connelly residence, she becomes a likeable, charming, fun person. The kids, who have gone through four nannies in two weeks' time, instantly take to her and act like angels. Their father is wildly attracted to her, but wants to concentrate on getting back into a high-paying career. (His ex-wife wiped him out in the divorce.)
Of course, Cash and Marisol fall in love, are blissfully happy until he decides she's the reason he can't concentrate on his career and dumps her.
I picked this book up on a whim at the library and am so glad I did! The characters were so likable - Marisol is hilarious, she constantly had me giggling at her antics, and through all her flaws, she really is a wonderful character and someone that if I knew in real life, I'm sure I couldn't help but want to be friends with! The triplets all are adorable, and their three very unique little personalities make me wish I could be their nanny. Of course, their daddy makes me wish I could be their nanny too! Cash sounds like one FINE hunk of football playin' man!
There were definitely a few steamy scenes, so if you're looking for that, you've got it. And the attraction was super strong between Marisol and Cash, so that keeps you entertained throughout the book, not to mention wondering what crazy silliness Marisol will come up with next. Overall, it was just a really fun book, that I found highly amusing.
I will definitely be checking out more Lisa Plumley books ASAP!
A fun, sweet summer romance with an old-fashioned,simpler feel (Yes, it originally came out in 2007, but that was not that long ago!) Marisol is upbeat and fun, a generous and appealing nanny to three adorable, well-written 6-year-old triplets.Sure, she had this job as part of a shopping rehab her dad forced her to do to keep her trust fund, but she was appealing and became more and more genuine and likeable as she found her purpose nurturing the kids.Cash retired from the NFL due to injuries and the need to spend more time with his kids after his divorce. He is a great dad and shares a sizzling hot chemistry with Marisol that they both try to fight. Of course the inevitable happens and they fall in love, and the journey was one of the most enjoyable reads I've had in a while. I've always enjoyed Lisa Plumley, and she didn't disappoint here at all. I highly recommend this book for a great fun distraction, especially at the very low e-book price.
A hilarious and unique book about a spoiled rich girl who knows nothing more than how to party, who gets a unique lesson in life and love. She learns quickly that life is about more than shopping and partying. The book has slow start but is a fun and quick read.
This book was OK. It had a cute premise, and was funny. The author has a knack for funny dialogue. Where this book fell flat for me was the character development. I never felt connected with the characters. I think the author needed to give the character's backstories earlier in the book, so we connect with them and care about them. That didn't happen for me, most notably with the hero. So although the book was funny, it wasn't enough for me to overcome the lack of connection with the characters.
This was a really good story. This book was hard to put down. A great story about love the second time around.
Martial is an heiress with too much time and money. Her family gets concerned about her spending habits. Rehab. She then gets a job as a nanny. She meets Cash and his three children Hannah Jacob and Emily and their dog Dump. This is a great story of love and learning who were are. Knowing we need one another and knowing who were are. Just a good all around fun read
I loved this book.. The characters are great... Cash is the ideal man to me... he wants everything to be so right for his kids that he sacrifices his own happiness or a least tries to... Marisol is too funny yet a little sad at some points.... she is a shopaholic who really just wants to buy her family and friends love... who hasn't felt like that before??? But the kids are so funny... A couple of their stunts made me laugh out loud since i have a kid their age.... great book!!!
Well aside from misspellings or misused words there were some very steamy parts that took me by surprise, not for the young. I skipped over some of those but all in all a very captivating story. True love really makes a difference. Just not sure how I ended up with this book as I lean towards Christian Fiction or resources. I laughed and I cried and overall I'd recommend it just not to anyone not married....
The story was moving and fun. Seeing how Marissa had to learn about reality without her families money was great. Becoming a nanny housekeeper was more then she expected. She handles the job well and finds love and happiness without money. The children and her have fun even when things got rough. Marissa helping cash get media attention turned out bad but in the end it was a blessing for cash. Great read love to read more.
I'm not sure if this was supposed to be funny or just really stupid. I'm leaning toward the latter. The six year old kids were sometimes more mature than the 30yr old adults. The characters were inconsistent, h was supposed to be a flighty, socialite shopaholic but also really smart, organized and great with kids. Really? It was tough to finish without shaking my head. The cover also had nothing to do with the book.
THE STORY LINE WAS KINDA SILLY BUT VERY DIFFERENT A SHOPAHOLIC AND AN EX-FOOT BAL PLAYER DIVORCED DAD OF ADORABLE TRIPLETS. SIGH! I KNOW ALL THIS SOUNDS SAPPY BUT I LOVED IT, SO HILARIOUS. REMINDED ME A LITTLE OF GOLDIE HAWN IN THE MOVIE “OVERBOARD”. THE SEX SCENES WERE MILDLY DESCRIPTIVE BUT STILL VERY HOT. ;D
Cute, funny love story with laugh out loud movements. Rich girl, football player trying for a comeback, a set of triplets and an old German shepherd round out the key players. Don't let the dog on the cover fool you, it has nothing to do with the story. A nice summer read
This story was extremely cute. It was a nice change from the hard core sex romance books. My only problem with this book was the lack of transition between the locations and characters. One second we are at a location with Marisol, and in the next paragraph we are back to Cash at a different location.
I wasn't expecting a book that could make me cry and laugh all at the same time. I recommend this to any hopeless romanticism out there that need some light-hearted diversion to cheer them up. The characters are unique, and wonderful, and the dog is sweet, too. I really enjoyed this book. Thanks Lisa Plumley!
I usually love her books aNd over the top characters, but the heroine didn't ring true to me. She was entertaining, but I had a hard time understanding what drove her. Love the way she wrote the 6 yr old triplets. This was a fast, fun read though.
