Inmates of Pengrass Penitentiary

I’ve got two years left at Pengrass Penitentiary and have already been locked away in this shit hole for six when I get news that almost wrecks me.
My baby brother was just ten when our parents died and left me to figure out how to raise him myself, even though I was barely old enough to fight for my right to keep him out of the foster care system at the time.
He was thirteen when I fucked up, all in the name of trying to take care of him, and got sent here. Ripped out of his life and forced to lose him to the very system I’d been trying to keep him from.
But now… now he’s nineteen.
Aged out and all on his own.
Thinking I abandoned him and falling prey to a predator who I’ve got no way to protect him from.
Not from inside. Not until I get out.
But two years is too long. My brother will be used up and spit back out by then. Or worse.
And just when I think I’ve got no options, no way to get to him, no way to help, I hear that there might be a way. That due to overcrowding, Pengrass is giving certain inmates the chance to apply for early release…

Marcus and Gavin haven’t had the best time, but I am so happy they can have their codependent happy ending.
I have loved each and every of the pengrass boys, but girl, YOU ARE KILLING ME WAITING FOR GRIM’s BOOK!!!! I think Grim might be my favourite of all your characters, and I neeeeeeed more!

This is such a great series. They tend to have a smiggen more character and story build up that her usuals, while still be super hot and porny. My only gripe with this little nugget is the quick ending. It felt very abrupt.

Love the drama and suspense in this one! I don’t usually expect a lot of plot with Becca Vale’s books, but I was pleasantly surprised.

4.5 stars. I loved that there was an actual plot to the story, not just smut :) Which, don't get me wrong, I'm here for the smut! LOL. 1/2 star less because I didn't feel the sexual chemistry, and one question for me wasn't answered which is why didn't the younger brother get any of the letters? I mean, I know that the foster parents prob threw them out, but why send them there? Why not give to the one friend he has to hand deliver?

I love this Pengrass series and this installment is just as good! Just a few sexy scenes in this book but so filthy and smutty. Ate it right up! Cannot wait for the next one!
