I've spent half a lifetime digesting this small volume. It's one of the best books on respecting human dignity and the communication process I've ever read. It retains a prominent place in my library, next to the lengthy journal I've written about it over the years. I believe that many of the concepts Buber challenged the world to in the 1960's are lessons we need to learn over again about respect and civility.

Nice guide to I and thou that helps with the practical applications of Buber's work. I agree that the charts are confusing, but I'm not the most visual, so take that with the proverbial grain.
