The prayer at the end was pleasantly expressed and reopened my eyes. Never put these two thoughts together. The love that an adoptive parent has CHOSEN the child.

Such a cute Christmas read that involves fake dating, friends to more, unrequited love, and Christmas with family. I enjoyed seeing Kandi all grown up and getting her own story. I enjoyed catching up on all the other characters from the previous books in the Maple Run series.

Rafe Moreno and Kandi Williams have been best friends for years, and she is secretly in love with him. When he suggests they fake date over Christmas to satisfy their families, she agrees, but has reservations. As he discovers when they interact, he is more and more drawn to her, and they admit their lie and start dating for real. Touching Christmas story.
