Malick Pendragon isn’t thrilled when his mate, who happens to be a witch, walks into his life. The timing is completely wrong. What he doesn’t expect is her life to be threatened or that he’d have to save her or risk dying himself.

Charming little romance

A sweet shifter romance that's quick and easily read cover-to-cover. Simply relaxing and charming, the start of an exciting new series! I loved this!

Quick read

This was a quick read that felt more like a novella. It was good, but felt too short to me. I definitely want to read more.

Charity is looking for a killer, but instead she finds a mate, one she didn't even know she wanted.

Malick knows the fiesty witch is his mate from the moment he meets her. But convincing her could be more of a chalenge than he realizes.

This is a short novelette about these two trying to figure out how to be together as equals, while also dealing with a murderious cult leader.

Milick is all alpha male, but what he desperatly wants is a mate and he finds one when he least expects it.

Charity is strong willed and determined when she's working at something, but when it comes toher love life it takes someone even stronger to break through her barriers.

Short read and I enjoyed getting into this world, although I do wish there would have been more to it!

So, never read anything from this author. It was an interesting story. I do think there was so much going on that it should have been a longer story or turned into a series of books. Charity was reluctant to accept Malick but then BOOM she accepts it all in the span of like an hour. Thats not something that happens. Noway could she have changed her mind that fast. Otherwise I enjoyed the book. It was interesting. A twist is the Gods and Goddesses part. That threw me lol. Anyways not a bad read. Just a bit more explanations would have been good. Still seems unfinished at the end.

This was a cool paranormal novella, chock full of various shifters, and ancient gods!!! The steamy relationship between Malick and Charity was pretty hot!! The forces of good and evil was an effective aspect of the book. I look forward to reading more of Jami's books to see how they resolve that conflict and the unique curse put on them. I highly recommend this to those who enjoy paranormal romances!!!

Fate often has bad timing.

When a murder investigation turns into a mating and a war you know you have a great tale! You can't choose when your fate and destiny will intertwine but you can accept the gift and move forward. Love had a way of beating the odds even during times of war. This is an excellent short story. Leaves you hungering for more!

This was an okay book, I kept reading because I thought the story would get interesting but it never did. I didn't understand the plot of the book and the way Charity fell in love with Malick was a bit simple I prefer my romantic couple to have to struggle with their feelings before they decide that they are right for each other. Im glad I read the book but I don't see me finishing the series.

Exciting shifter story.

So fast moving and well done! Charity and Malick will surely be in the fight to overcome the evil. I'm sure the rest of the book s in this series will be just as good.

This isn't my normal romance type read, but loved it. Only draw back, it was a short encounter! This was a great introduction to the world of paranormal, shifters and witches. Jami Brumfield has a writing style, that draws the reader in to Charity and Malicks tale. Give it a try

To Love a Dragon

Charity is a cop and a witch. Malick is a dragon shifter. Charity goes into a bar looking for murderers and finds Malick. He realizes she is his mate. The murders are being commuted by a group of shifters. There is action, love and a twist.

Choppy

I like the idea of the story I like the potential of the story but it was really choppy. It felt like there were scenes missing.

The idea for the world had some potential as did the very very bare bones of the plot. unfortunately the execution was incredibly lacking and the character building was lackluster. I'm sorry, but for me it's a matter of follow thru. if a plot and world are fluff I can deal with mediocre writing, if the potential for a good story is utterly wasted it makes me pissy.
