Sigh. In for for 4, hold for 4, out for 4. That was a lot. Silva is Lexi from book one's twin sister. These girls have been through the fiery gates and probably met the devil himself and still somehow managed to survive. Please, please, please check the content warnings. Jenn is wickedly talented; however, her content is dark and her revenge is morbidly delicious. As for Silva and her pack of men. They too are delicious but more so in the muscles and bulging pants department.
Oh man, my heart broke for what Silva went through. We really had no idea how bad it was and what she was even hiding from Lexi. I love a scary omega who takes no sh!t, even from her alphas. Harlan, Kyren, Izzie, and Syrus are the perfect crazy pack that Siva needed.

OVERALL: The beginning of this book, it made me tear up to know what she went through with her foster brothers, because she was trying to save her sister from what they did. It is before they escaped and all. Now let's fast forward to the present. They are now in Widows Peak. This is when we get to meet Syrus who is a beta and the towns sheriff. He has always had feeling to Silva and he decided it was to time more the relationship to the next level. But Silva won't spend the time or let him spend the night due to every night she relives her nightmares of her past and what she and her sister and friends went through.
I love how much Syrus cares for Silvia. She said stalker, he said I call it being ‘observant’ lol. Now here comes Harlen, Kyren and Isidro ‘Izzy’. When they first met Silva, she zaps Harlen, because he was asking her a question that scared her. I laughed sooooo hard. Now their relationship is bumpy. But she does start to let them be there for her. This is when they find out about her stepbrothers due to hearing her have one of her very bad nightmares. They decide it is time for her to get her revenge on the worst one, well her sisters pack took care of the other one. That scene was just amazing and put together so well. I am so glad she got her revenge.
Now, I am ready to end this review because I don’t want to say too much. Read it you will not regret it.
The spice and heat scene are sooooo good. This book is defiantly a really great read, and it is well written. I will always recommend anything by Jenn Bullard, because she can write such an amazing book.
FAV QUOTES: “Why is it always me,” he complains. “You’re the prettiest one in the bunch,” I joke, pulling open the door. “If I fart in your face, I won’t be sorry!” she yells. “I listen to all your little noises. Princess. Now come impale yourself on your throne so Izzy can feast.” “No alpha bark!” I yell. “Bad puppy. Behave for the nice psycho omegas.”
This book is about Silva, an omega who escapes cage after cage with her twin sister and later her friends—her found family. Together they create a haven where every omega will be safe. This book is also about the beta sheriff that always has her back and the pack who has been searching for her. A traumatised omega haunted by her nightmares, a beta burned by his chain of command, and a pack obsessed with finding the girl in the picture they were once given.
This is the second book in the widows universe, it contains some heavy themes so check your triggers and take care of yourself, you matter!
This was the perfect continuation of this series, I love these characters so fluffing much! The unconditional support we see between Silva and Syrus makes my heart flutter, it’s gorgeous! And then we get the rest of her pack and it’s just, everything! Silva grew up with the worst set of cards, life did her dirty but she flipped the script and made fate her… you know what I mean. She’s a badass who would do anything to protect the people she loves. She is so incredibly worthy of her happily ever after.
The theme of great world building and deep characters continues and it’s clear how much the authors have worked together making this cohesive, big, big props to them! It’s no small feat having so many authors work together to make a large universe where the characters overlap and they keep their voice and personality throughout, incredibly impressive!
Alisha set the tone with Lexi, and Jenn definitely delivered here—even raising the bar. I am so here for it! Here’s to hoping that the madness continues!
And finally to my favorite quote, enjoy!
"We glance at each other smugly before I remember he's on the community shit list. If Silva doesn't like you, neither do I. Solidarity in pettiness."
I absolutely knew when I saw this series was coming out that I was going to absolutely love it. I absolutely loved Lexie but my god, this book gave me a totally new perspective of what these two girls went through, especially Silva. I’m going to say before you start this book, definitely read the triggers if you have any because this is a hard one.
I’m a huge lover of omegas and alphas but this book truly made me fall in love with betas because Syrus is a whole nother breed of a man that I didn’t even know that I needed. He’s so patient, loving, dominant as hell and my goodness, he’s definitely the Daddy of the group. I don’t care what anyone says. This man runs the show.
Izzy. Sweet omega. I love him so much. He’s an omega pretending to be a beta and he has every reason to. When he goes through his heat, he’s so adorable and such a brat that I just want to cuddle him him. I really loved the shower scene with Syrus, Silva and Izzy because that’s when things started to look up for all of them.
And the alphas. They both made me laugh but man, Harlan was such a character.
I really loved that the girls got their vengeance on both accounts and the ending was just so beautiful. I really loved how strong Silva was and she opened her heart to let these guys in. I also loved the pacing she did by the bonding because it made so sense how it was at different times.
If you haven’t read any of Jenn’s books, I truly and highly recommend it because she just sucks you into her amazing world that she creates.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Great read!! This book was a lot darker than ‘Lexi’ (Alisha Williams) which is about Silvia’s twin. This was dark, emotional, funny and spicy with some sweet moments as well.
Silva is a very independent and grumpy Omega who has a very traumatic past most of which she has kept to herself. She’s always putting everyone first no matter the cost to herself….. which is proven starting in the prologue. After being in her safe haven town for years, she finally gives into her feelings for the Syrus, the sheriff. A few weeks after 2 Alphas and a ‘Beta’ (Harlan, Kyren and Isidro) come into town looking for answers. They just happen to be her scent matches…. But they don’t make the best first impression 🤣 They do make it up to her, while slowly gaining her trust.
While in the process of getting to know her they learn of her past and they all want to help put her demons to rest once and for all so she can finally make real progress on healing her trauma from the past.
While the book mostly is about Silva and her past…. We also find out about Syrus’ dark past, and now that they are all ‘family’ they all decide to help him too.
No cheating, no OWD, no third act break up with a HEA…..and revenge 😉
Definitely check your TWs for this one if needed.
* Omega Safe Haven * MMMMF / OAABO * Special Forces Alpha & Male Omega * Beta Sheriff * Age Gap * Scent Matches
🤣”And for God’s sake, wash your face. Your beard isn’t a flavor saver. “ 🤣
After reading Lexi’s story, I couldn’t wait for Silva’s story! Silva was always fiercely protective over her twin and sacrificed pieces of herself to keep Lexi safe. Years after their escape, the nightmares of their time cage and her guilt still haunt her.
When a new pair of alphas and suspicious beta come probing around Widow’s Peak, old wounds are opened as new connections are forged. And Silva’s quiet life gets turned on its head.
Tropes: 👀Multi POV ❤️🩹Healing heroine 🤫Secret omega 🚨Sheriff MC 🚫Touch her & 💀 🖤Dark omegaverse (2 omegas, 2 alphas, 1 beta) 🫂Forced proximity 🤭Alphas breaking all the rules ‼️Emergency heat
While Sheriff Syrus knows Silva can take care of herself, that doesn’t stop him from prioritizing her safety. Their tension has been brewing for years and they finally decide to take their relationship beyond friendship. The pack of Isidro, Harlan, and Kyren come in hot! Charismatic, dominant, and a little feral.
Mistrust abounds and I loved seeing this pack slowly come together to become a ride-or-d!e unit. Silva deserves the world and her HEA was hard-earned and so gratifying. This story brings the heat (IYKYK) and I’m so excited for the next interconnected story!
Huge thanks to the author for the review copy opportunity! This is my honest and voluntary review.
I am always a conundrum of turmoil and elation after leaving the confines of one of Jenn’s worlds. She forever slaps you in the face with the water-board level of torture our heroines go through, while simultaneously building an un-quenchable (if psychotic) level of ferocious support.
Silva is the focus of this installment of Beware the Widows. We learned a bit of her backstory in her twin sister, Lexi’s, book (recommend starting there). It’s both enlightening and devastating living through the trauma for both perspectives. Silva emphatically takes on the burden of her sister’s safety often to the detriment of her own. She carries her demons silently until finding trust and acceptance in the arms of rugged, patient, dirty-talking beta.
With love blossoming between Silva and Syrus, it’s only fitting for their world to implode when three unexpected scent matches violently rock into town. What follows is a slow slide into a future that Silva never dared to hope for.
This is a novel of quiet healing, unbridled passion, and visceral reclamation. It is both softly tender and horrificly violent; and I cannot recommend it enough. Jenn never fails to emotionally flail you alive while stitching you back together with unexpected humor and swoony redemption. Run, don’t walk, when Silva drops on February 27th. As always, please check content warnings.
This is the next series in the widow series and while I think this and Lexi can be read in any order I would highly recommend reading both.
Silva twin sister of Lexi has made a new life for herself in widows peak and the story starts as her relationship with Syrus is just changing.
I absolutely love syrus. He’s a beta giving off alpha energy. I honestly think he’s the best character.
I loved that syrus came first before the rest of the pack and gave a dynamic that you don’t usually see in ov.
Izzy and his alphas are already an established pack before their arrival in widows peak and although the initial meet and greet didn’t go to well (I’m looking at you Charlie). Things quickly pick up.
I really enjoyed the twist on Izzy and how he believes he has to operate.
The ending is wonderful, revenge recuses and a beautiful last chapter make this a solid 5* read for me.
Check your triggers!!!! This is dark on page and detailed. If you don’t like that don’t read it!! If you like your books triggered filled and extremely spicy this is the book for you
Silva, twin to lexi, one of widows that escaped bring trafficed. Silva is the shirt that would do anything for her sister and mostly had thigh she never wants thanks instead she just kypd looking after those she cares about. One of those is the sexy sheriff Syrus, and then when the small pack that had what they said was two alphas and a beta, Silva can tell that's is something off.
Harlan, kyren, and Izzy are here hunting onegas who have been missing for years, Silva and her sister Lexi both in this small hidden town seem suspicious, as it's filled with omegas but barely any Alphas. They begin to look into her but at they get closer that learn not all things are what they appear.
Jenn bullard is a matter story teller. These characters are deep and vulnerable while showing being hurt Sheng mean you're out.
This is one I recommend reading those TWs.. #isoldetrained
Book two of the Beware of the Widows series is NOT for the faint of heart. The trigger warnings are not suggestions. If on page depictions of SA/torture/gore are not okay for you, neither is this book and it starts pretty much right away. The first book introduced dark topics, this book ran with them.
That being said, if you’re still with me……SO GOOD!
Silva has all of the aspects of a Jenn Bullard book that I have come to love. The spice needed diagrams and read like a beautifully messy game of Twister. The revenge scenes were straight outta Hostel. Loved it.
Beautiful MMMMF (AABOO) content. I just wish all of the MMCs were together and not just hinted at, but it didn’t detract from the story at all and their banter was cute (I’m just greedy).
The Widows are such a dynamic group. I love that these gals are complicated, messy, and imperfect. They feel relatable and deal with survivors guilt the way any non fictional person might.
Seeing Silva's side of the story after reading Lexi's really helped pull everything into perspective. This was another beautifully written story by Jenn, taking trauma and helping it to blossom into a beautiful pack dynamic. Silva is the first to jump in, the last to leave, she would happily sacrifice herself to keep even a single person safe. Syrus is a comfort/protection beta, always ready with a hug or supportive word and constant reminders to eat and sleep. Harlan is a *little* crazy and very over the top, Kyren is a more steady presence and Isidro is, well you just have to experience him. There's antics and banter, zap happy FMCs, MMCs that come on too strong, some grovelling and of course all the 'play' time you expect from Jenn (both spicy and stabby). As always remember to check your triggers this is a lot darker than the first book in the series.
Silva is part of the Beware of the Widows shared world. I absolutely devoured this book and loved everything about it. This book may pull on your heartstrings a bit and will have you cheering for Silva and the other Widows as they try to find their peace.
I loved Silva and how strong she is. She is definitely a character that I loved right from the start. She's protective of those around her and isn't afraid to face her demons. Syrus may be one of my favorite characters from Bullard. There is just something about him that I couldn't get enough of. I also loved Isidro, Kyren, and Harlan but they had to grow on me a little bit.
If you are looking for an omegaverse or just enjoy shared worlds then I would grab this book right away!
Silva is an omega and one of the founders of Widows Peak with her sister.
Syrus is sheriff of Widows Peak. He is a beta and a stalker so very protective of Silva. He’s always had a crush on her since he arrived at Widows Peak 9years ago.
Harlan, Kyren & Isidro arrive at Widows Peak. First impressions with Silva didn’t really go to plan but they do try.
They are also her secret matches. Helping Silva and the girls get revenge on their pasts is amazing to read. Revenge is sweet. Syrus also wants to find his sister who was taken from Gideon too before the girls arrived at the mansion.
Another fab read by Jenn. She’s an incredible author ❤️ Can’t wait for the rest of the series
When I read Lexi's book, I was already eager for Silva's book and I was not disappointed. It was so good to read Silva's story, meet her Alphas up close and personal. Meet Isidro, the male omega and he was absolutely divine. I loved everything about him and I absolutely loved getting to know Syrus, the beta sheriff a little better. If there ever was a beta that should have been an alpha, That's Sheriff Syrus.
Keep in mind, the men are morally grey at best. The story is dark elements. It is not a fluffy book and is has its true unhinged nature just as we have come to know and love from Jenn's books. And there's a teaser there for more books and I cannot wait!!
I absolutely love Silva and the town she created for herself and her fellow omegas with the other widows.
I have to say that Syrus, is my favourite out of her pack, giving ultimate Daddy vibes 😍🫠 would of loved a scene where Kyren submitted to Syrus..
It was great that everyone that wronged Silva got their come-uppance, it needed to be dealt with.
I now need to read Lexi's side of the story, so thats where im headed next. Really good book and i cant wait to read the rest of the series with the other widows
Jenn Bullard, you outdid yourself with this pitch-black theme omegaverse story. My emotions were on a roller coaster ride 🎢 through out the book. I needed time to recover after reading. 🫣 Silva, along with her sister and closest friends were able escape a terrible situation. For ten years they made a home in Widows Peak, an alpha free town. Silva finally allows herself have a relationship with the sheriff and it dominos from there. You’ll need to read the story to find out the rest but I enjoyed the flow of the plot and the outcome. 😈 Please check the author’s trigger warnings.
After reading the first one in this series, I knew Silva would be a kick a$$ character, and I wasn't disappointed. She definitely takes charge and doesn't need a pack to make her happy. But when one is presented to her, she also isn't completely opposed. Some resistance at the start, which leans into her traumatic past, but enough effort is put in by her new alphas to make it all click into place. We also get all the revenge against those from the past. A touch gory but in a fluffy way. I can't explain it, my brain just liked it.
Sigh. I absolutely loved that. The epilogue was just as intense as the prologue but in such a different way. I knew Silva's book would be harder than Lexi's and I honestly wasn't sure how much I would like her. She just seemed sooo standoffish and grumpy. Now, after reading her story and knowing what she's put herself through for her love, I totally understand and love how strong a character she is. Throughout the book, minus a couple of scenes, she had the perfect pack to back her up. I could not get enough!
Ah Jen what a book! Great continuation from Lexi written by Alisha. Although the twins obviously have the same (ish) history, the way they handle the aftermath is completely different and leads to two great stories. This one is a bit darker and dare I say a bit spicer than Lexi but I loved it! Again you can’t help but fall in love with all the MMCs. I thought Sylus would be my favourite throughout but Harlan definitely was by the end. Beautiful flowing read dealing with the darker themes well. Can’t wait for the next installment as I’m truly hooked on this series.
Silva, book 2 in the Beware of the Widows series, by Jenn Bullard @author_jenn_bullard. Read the trigger/content warnings! First off, I am a huge fan of Jenn’s & this book was no different!
Oh dang! This book starts rough with a prelude for Silva! 😭 I loved this book about Silva, Syrus, Isidro, Harlan & Kyren! Tropes: Contemporary, Dark Omegaverse, Omega FMC, Beta MMC, Omega MMC, 2 Male Alphas, Scent Matches, FMC Takes Care Of Business, Found Family & HEA!
The second book in the Widows series, this one follows Silva and her pack to be. She is the twin of Lexi from the first book, and she has a lot more darkness to deal with from their past. Her pack all give her the room to be independent and fight things on her own, while being there as she needs them. Jenn’s books are darker omegaverse and always have amazing revenge methods when omegas are harmed! This is a good story to continue the series, and Jenn never disappoints.
This book is about Lexis sister Silva and everything she went through that made her the way she is.
How her trauma shaped her into who she is and how hard it is to let people in like her beta syrus that she says is a stalker but he just likes to be observant.
and the other guys who are their looking for her since she went missing if you want to know what happens read the books it is so good
Poly, omegaverse with plenty of yummy MM. This is the second book in Beware of the Widows shared world. I love a dark, possessive, psycho MMC. Even the beta and omega have that vibe in this one. Silva is a handful, added to Syrus, Harlan, Karen, and Isidro she is perfection. I'm obsessed with this series.
If you haven't read Lexi's book then do that before this one. It's not entirely necessary but it helps. I love Silva. She is so strong and stubborn. She is always taking care of everyone else. Silva is always trying to protect others. And some of the things that come out of her mouth, will make you laugh. And of course she and her men have some obstacles but its well worth reading to find out.
Wow, I wish this book had twice the number of pages. I'm so bummed I've already finished this one!
This second book in the series is darker than the first, and that's right up my alley.
I really enjoyed Silva's strength. Her first encounter with Harlan was hilarious. This Omegaverse is written with so much humor and power. On to the next installment in this series.
Silva by Jenn Bullard is book two in the Beware of the Widows Interconnected series. I was so excited to get my hands on Silva's story after learning about her from Lexi's story. This story was Amazing and really had me in my feelings while reading. Jenn has a way to really pack in the emotions when she creates her stories. This series is going to really put its readers through it lol.
Arc review for a honest review in my own words on a book I read . wow just fantastic .I love all these characters and what they work to stand for in this town of widows peak, its what true family is without blood ties. 10 stars
Absolutely loved getting Silva’s story. She’s an amazing character and the best sister. Syrus is my absolute favorite MMC in this one but her other guys are just as good. Couldn’t put this book down.
