My nightmares come and go, my life is busy and normal, and there are things missing I don’t think I’ll ever get to experience due to my past.
It’s been ten years since my sister and I escaped with our closest friends from Gideon’s operation. We made a deal with a devil, intent to save the people we could: ourselves. When you’re drowning, sometimes that’s all you can do. In exchange, we got Widows Peak, a place we’ve made into a haven for omegas and betas looking for community and safety.
I’m just entering into a relationship with the sheriff of my town, able to accept that I deserve good things too, when everything changes.
Widows Peak is a predominantly alpha free town. That’s all changing now that there are two alphas, and a beta that smells wrong, who are insistently looking for answers to a cold case. The alphas are my scent matches, something I never thought possible.
It’s bringing up feelings I only relive in the quiet of the night, and my trauma is coming back to haunt me. I need to head back to free Gideon’s Dolls, and maybe finally grab some happiness of my own as well.
This is a why choose romance, part of the Beware of the Widows shared world.
Another dark and twisty read from Jenn Bullard. After reading Lexi, I was so excited for Silva and this did not disappoint. It ripped me my heart out and slowly put me back together (but of course Jenn had me sobbing and almost screaming at some points) I loved all the different personalities in their pack and watching them all meld together was perfect. These guys werew exactly what Silva (didn't know) she needed. The spice was absolutely delicious. And of course, the justice/revenge served was *chef's kiss* As always with Jenn's works, I couldn't put this down. Looking forward to the next in the series!
Silva’s story is significantly darker than Lexi’s, the first in the Beware of the Widows series, so definitely mind your TWs, but I loved this story. There was a significant amount of angst that led to many heart-pounding moments. I really adored Silva’s dynamic with Syrus and how their relationship came to be. As I’ve come to expect with omegaverse, the spice is next level - and you get all the delectable aspects that come with scent matches! Silva is selfless to her own detriment and she definitely deserves being worshipped and adored! I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series!

ARC REVIEW
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Star Review 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 5/5 Spiciness Level
RELEASE INFO FOR ARC/ALC BOOKS: Releasing 2/27/26!
RECOMMENDATION: This is an amazing omegaverse, why choose dark romance!! Emotionally broken and trauma-bonded to others in town, omega Silva does not want a relationship. At least not until the sexy, protective beta, Sheriff Syrus, FINALLY makes a move on her! Then three guys show up to town asking questions about her past they have no business knowing about. The guys are in a flirty, fiery, long-term romantic relationship with each other. They were not planning to add to their pack, but finding their scent match is a blessing to any alpha. They like Syrus too, which is absolutely perfect! Revenge is sweet, can they talk Silva into dishing it out?
FAVORITE QUOTE(S): “There’s something to be said about consent, and the power there is in making a man fall apart for you.” & “…I’m one panic attack away from a vacation with grippy socks, Izzy.”
TROPES: MMMMF Omegaverse (no shapeshifting) Why Choose? Forced Proximity Two Omegas (one hiding it, living as beta) Scent Matches Heats/Knots/Slick/Nesting
GENRE, POV, PAGE COUNT: Omegaverse Dark Romance Multi-POV in 1st Person 482 Pages Long
FMC: Silva Davenport, 31, twin to Lexi (the FMC in book 1). She owns the bar in town and has a cattle prod behind the bar named “Charlie” she doesn’t hesitate to use on obnoxious alphas who don’t take no for an answer. She is the type of person who tries to take on everyone’s burdens, especially her sister. Silva is a very strong lady who has overcame so much abuse and mistreatment. She has a horrible past.
MMC: Syrus is a beta, moved to Widow’s Peak 9 years ago and is the Sheriff. He came from a big city where even fellow officers were crooked and violent. Widow’s Peak was his fresh start. He has always been smitten with Silva since he first met her. His sister was taken 13 years ago without a trace.
Kyren is an Alpha and special forces. He has been in a romantic relationship with Harlan and Izzy for many years and has no desire to add Silva to their pack... until he scents her. He seems very brooding and just… “grrrrr.”
Isidro “Izzy” also works with the special forces but is an omega and is masking it pretending to be a beta. He fears his omega traits will hinder their missions and he mostly works undercover. Suppressing his omega traits is very hard on his body, worse the longer he does it and he’s been doing it for many years now. In a relationship with the alphas.
Harlan seems similar to Kyren, he is also an alpha and special forces. He doesn’t seem to be as cantankerous as Kyren, seems more understanding and kind. In a romantic relationship with Kyren and Izzy.
STORYLINE/PLOT: These guys and Silva were in book 1. Syrus has been smitten with Silva for years, flirting but never acting on it. This changes early on in the book. It’s so clear they are perfect together! He is SO good to her, patient with her and so protective of her. Oh boy, when those alphas and Izzy show up… more “grrrrr!!!”
The other guys showed up to town the same time and in the same team as the alphas looking for Lexi. Once they find her, they don’t exactly say “hi” in the smartest way considering her history. Kyren gets to meet Charlie and it’s amazing to read!!! It made me audibly cackle!
This story is about Silva and how she realizes, to her horror, that these alphas are her scent matches, finds out why they’re all here, and we see her relationship with each one grow into something amazing! It’s also about getting revenge and vengeance on those who abused her and Lexi. They also look for Syrus’s long lost sister.
NOTE: Check trigger warnings!!!
THANKS: Thank you to Author Jenn Bullard for this amazing digital ARC! I loved reading it, look forward to the next book in this series and look forward to reading future books by this author! Thank you!
Oh man, my heart broke for what Silva went through. We really had no idea how bad it was and what she was even hiding from Lexi. I love a scary omega who takes no sh!t, even from her alphas. Harlan, Kyren, Izzie, and Syrus are the perfect crazy pack that Siva needed.
Wow, I knew a little about what was headed my way after reading Lexi, but Silva is my hero…I want to be her when I grow up❣️She is totally in command and doesn’t let anyone walk over her - she’s amazing. The story was a little gruesome in some parts but couldn’t see it happening any other way.
A must read addition to this series🤩 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️
Sigh. In for for 4, hold for 4, out for 4. That was a lot. Silva is Lexi from book one's twin sister. These girls have been through the fiery gates and probably met the devil himself and still somehow managed to survive. Please, please, please check the content warnings. Jenn is wickedly talented; however, her content is dark and her revenge is morbidly delicious. As for Silva and her pack of men. They too are delicious but more so in the muscles and bulging pants department.
Silva: The fierce Omega I’ve been waiting for and she doesn’t disappoint!

I truly loved every second of this book; the pace was perfect and kept me completely engrossed throughout. With its captivating characters and compelling, immersive plot, Silva is highly recommended to all dark omegaverse lovers. Widows Peak is such an amazing place, and I’m really looking forward to reading more from the other Widows to see how each of their stories unfold.
I fell in love with Silva from the very beginning. I loved her feisty, independent, "take-no-bull" attitude, but she is also an utter sweetheart, ensuring everyone in the town is safe, protected, and happy way before she thinks of herself. Silva hides her anxiety and horrid nightmares as much as she can, and she’s definitely wary of alphas—which is entirely understandable with the hell she went through at the hands of Brad and Luke in a bid to keep them away from her twin sister, Lexi. Guilt has also niggled away at Silva because when the Widows ran, they left behind Gideon and the trapped omegas. However, they were young and on their own; now, with Silva and Lexi’s badass packs, peace could be on the horizon. Silva sure gave Kyren and Harlan hėlľ on their first meeting when the alphas got it wildly wrong. I thought Silva and her bat were awesome, but Silva wielding her stun gun at Harlan was my all-time favourite and definitely a laugh-out-loud moment, along with her “flavour saver” comment to him later on. 🤣😂
Syrus is the town Sheriff who’s been in love with Silva from afar for years. However, he’s had enough of observing; he wants more and is ready to take their close friendship to the next level! I adored him as a character; he’s a beta but certainly has strong alpha energy with lots of dirty talk between the sheets! Syrus doesn’t shy away from forming a pack when Kyren, Harlan, and Izzy appear and falls for them fairly quickly. I also adore the way he, Kyren and Harlan have their little flirty moments—so cute!
Isidro, or ‘Izzy,’ is bonded to Kyren and Harlan and has a secret nobody outside of his bond knows about. For the work they do, he felt he needed to hide; however, his yearly break is nearly up and things are undoubtedly going to change for the better. Izzy is an adorably cute cinnamon roll who can turn deadly if needed to save an innocent or mete out justice. Kyren is a little more laid back than Harlan, as Harlan tends to let his mouth run away from him. They are both strong alpha men, however, who have a powerful urge to protect, especially Silva. They completely screw up their first meeting with her and have to work hard to regain ground and her trust, so they come together fairly slowly for scent matches, but I loved that.
There are lots of very loving and sweet moments between Silva and her pack, along with some very tender and emotional ones as Silva's men learn of her past trauma. We also learn more regarding Syrus's past and his lost sister, which was amazing when they decided to help him too. Of course, there are plenty of very hot and spicy times between them all. As a pack, they are a force to be reckoned with, and woe betide anyone who threatens those they love. The banter was thoroughly entertaining and the revenge they orchestrated for Silva and the other Widows was wickedly awesome and beyond brilliant! 💣
Although you don’t technically need to read Book 1 with Lexi, however I can highly recommend it as it gives you more context to the story and the Widows as a whole. Lark is up next by Lexi C. Foss, and I can't wait for more from the Widows.
4.5 stars! Silva is a super spicy, why choose, omegaverse romance that delivers everything you want and more. Part of the Beware the Widows series (from multiple authors), Silva takes place in an overlapping timeline with book 1, Lexi, and features some overlapping and intertwined plot points and scenes. That said, you don’t have to have read Lexi for this story to stand on its own (but Lexi is also great, and I highly recommend it). That said, Silva is slightly darker, a bit more graphic (in multiple ways), and more intense than Lexi overall, as well.
Silva and Lexi are twin sisters, trapped in a nightmare foster care situation that they escaped as soon as they turned 18, only to find themselves trafficked into an even worse situation - which they were eventually able to escape from with 4 other women, and establish a remote community that protects and supports omegas specifically, but also any other person in need of help or protection. Widows Peak is a tight community, and strangers are clocked instantly. Silva is a workaholic, loved by everyone, and finally after 10 years in Widows Peak, finally taking a chance on love with the town Sheriff Syrus (a beta, and her best friend who has been part of the community for 6 years). But when Harlan, Kyren, and Isidro show up, things go sideways in a way she never expected. Harlen and Kyren are Alphas, and Silva initially wants nothing to do with them and states such in no uncertain terms. Isidro isn’t Alpha, but he’s with them, so things are less intense with him, but she still doesn’t trust him. Syrus immediately shifts into protector mode, but quickly determines that there is more to these unknown males, and he’s not sure it’s all bad.
No spoilers, and there is plenty that could potentially spoil here, so I’m just going to say, these Alphas have been looking for Silva and Lexi for years, and when they find her, there is an unmistakable connection that they are not willing to just walk away from. So, they go full court press to show her that they are the good guys, that they want to help and protect her, and they will only be good for her. As they slowly win her over, each in their own ways, they also help her heal from the past (of which hers is very traumatic), in any way they possibly can. They also don’t hold her back from not only being herself, but standing up for herself, and fighting her own battles to the extent that she is willing and able to. There is a fair amount of lightness woven into this pretty dark story, so it has a good balance without overwhelming in the darkness. The spice is also fantastic, and the why choose aspect gets VERRRRRY interesting, more than once.
Overall, very much enjoyed this story, and I love this universe that is being created around Widows Peak. I’m looking forward to the rest of the stories we are going to be getting going forward as well!
This book was so good, but it definitely contains some dark themes and scenes so please check the triggers and take care of yourself!
Silva is the second book in the Beware of the Widows series and pairs very well with the first book, Lexi. Silva and Lexi are twins who had awful experiences in foster care and then escaped only to be recaptured and trained with the intent to sell them to the highest bidder. After their escape, they set up Widow's Peak to be a haven for omegas. When new alphas come to town looking specifically for Silva, she is almost certain that there's trouble brewing, but when some of them are connected to Silva and Lexi, it makes life much more complicated. Syrus, Kyren, Isidro, and Harlan have their work cut out for them to prove themselves to Silva, who tries to keep almost everyone at arm's length.
This book absolutely broke my heart. There was so much that even Lexi didn't know about what Silva endured especially at the hands of their foster brothers. She was willing to surrender so much in order to protect Lexi and even after they escaped she carries so much guilt for the omegas that were left behind when the widows ran from Gideon. Syrus is the beta sheriff who has been smitten with Silva since they met. Now, they are finally ready to take the next step in their relationship when Isidro, Kyren, and Harlan roll into town. Syrus and Silva are absolutely adorable together and I love the way that he backs her decisions and protects her when it seems like the guys are causing her distress. Kyren, Harlan, and Izzy are all former government operatives who turned private when they ran up against the institutional corruption and red tape. They have been looking for Silva and Lexi for years and think that they could be key to unraveling an omega trafficking operation.
This book was so spicy and I loved it! I also loved how the scenes intertwined with Lexi's book, but it never relied on the reader having read Lexi's book to understand what was going on. The first meeting between Silva and the alphas had me laughing so hard. She was not willing to take any crap from them. But when their connection is discovered, all three guys immediately make it their mission to prove themselves to Silva and to help her heal however they can. The different relationship dynamics were super fun to read. I really enjoyed how each of the guys brought something different to the pack that balanced and complemented the other members. I also loved that, despite wanting to protect her, all of the guys are willing to let Silva stand on her own two feet and protect herself even though it goes against some of their instincts.
If you like dark omegaverse, I would definitely recommend this book and this series! I cannot wait for the next one!
I received a free advanced copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

OVERALL: The beginning of this book, it made me tear up to know what she went through with her foster brothers, because she was trying to save her sister from what they did. It is before they escaped and all. Now let's fast forward to the present. They are now in Widows Peak. This is when we get to meet Syrus who is a beta and the towns sheriff. He has always had feeling to Silva and he decided it was to time more the relationship to the next level. But Silva won't spend the time or let him spend the night due to every night she relives her nightmares of her past and what she and her sister and friends went through.
I love how much Syrus cares for Silvia. She said stalker, he said I call it being ‘observant’ lol. Now here comes Harlen, Kyren and Isidro ‘Izzy’. When they first met Silva, she zaps Harlen, because he was asking her a question that scared her. I laughed sooooo hard. Now their relationship is bumpy. But she does start to let them be there for her. This is when they find out about her stepbrothers due to hearing her have one of her very bad nightmares. They decide it is time for her to get her revenge on the worst one, well her sisters pack took care of the other one. That scene was just amazing and put together so well. I am so glad she got her revenge.
Now, I am ready to end this review because I don’t want to say too much. Read it you will not regret it.
The spice and heat scene are sooooo good. This book is defiantly a really great read, and it is well written. I will always recommend anything by Jenn Bullard, because she can write such an amazing book.
FAV QUOTES: “Why is it always me,” he complains. “You’re the prettiest one in the bunch,” I joke, pulling open the door. “If I fart in your face, I won’t be sorry!” she yells. “I listen to all your little noises. Princess. Now come impale yourself on your throne so Izzy can feast.” “No alpha bark!” I yell. “Bad puppy. Behave for the nice psycho omegas.”
Wow!! Book 2 in Beware of the Widows series is a scorcher. This is Silva's story and is not for the faint of heart. Please read all trigger warnings as set out by the Author as Jenn Bullard does not hold back. Is it steamy...definitely hot as f3ck!! It is also Dark and has some scenes that may ask you why! It is an exceptional book as it eases straight in from Book 1, Lexi's story, which would be beneficial to read before Silva's story. Widows Peak, a safe haven for omegas and has been for 10 years. Silva and Syrus are just beginning to accept each other as partners when a new pack comes into Widows Peak. A pack with an Omega (Isidro) and 2 Alpha's, Harlan and Kyren! Syrus, the local sheriff keeps tabs on anybody entering his town and soon lets them know they are not welcome....As does Silva!.....enter Charlie her personal cattle prod! 2 brothers, Aiden and Harlan, who knew when they looked at pics of the girls, felt a tug towards them, and were not giving up until they found them And find them they did! This story is about how 3 men finally make an Omega that wants nothing to do with Alpha's come around to their way of thinking. And being an empath helps their cause as Izzy goes into an early heat, Silva finds herself offering to help him.....and all 3 men move into her home...Oh but not before Syrus has his foot in the door too LOL. It's almost a f3ck my life moment for Silva who likes her privacy and personal space. She holds many secrets, even from her twin Lexi, as she brought the brunt of the abuse from their foster brothers so they would leave Lexi alone. Plenty of torture as her men help her find and destroy the foster brothers, Brad and Luke for herself and her sister Lexi. And not to forget Gideon and his merry band of sexual deviants who love to prey on Omega's. Working for themselves, Lexi's pack and Silva and her pack, all decide to disband the sex trafficking ring by bringing Gideon down. Lexi, Silva, Lark, Luna and Aries also set out to Gideons secret hideout to help release his "dolls" and ultimately destroy him. TBH I loved all the beatings and gore as the girls took time out to inflict as much pain on him as possible....some very informative reading right there! Add to Silva's story, Syrus also is looking for his missing sister, Maeve, and soon finds his and Silva's new pack are able to help him in his quest too. But the "Piece Di Resistance" would have to be the ending and epilogue of this epic story, ....I just loved it and no body deserved the HEA that Silva got as much as she did. 5 *****
This book is about Silva, an omega who escapes cage after cage with her twin sister and later her friends—her found family. Together they create a haven where every omega will be safe. This book is also about the beta sheriff that always has her back and the pack who has been searching for her. A traumatised omega haunted by her nightmares, a beta burned by his chain of command, and a pack obsessed with finding the girl in the picture they were once given.
This is the second book in the widows universe, it contains some heavy themes so check your triggers and take care of yourself, you matter!
This was the perfect continuation of this series, I love these characters so fluffing much! The unconditional support we see between Silva and Syrus makes my heart flutter, it’s gorgeous! And then we get the rest of her pack and it’s just, everything! Silva grew up with the worst set of cards, life did her dirty but she flipped the script and made fate her… you know what I mean. She’s a badass who would do anything to protect the people she loves. She is so incredibly worthy of her happily ever after.
The theme of great world building and deep characters continues and it’s clear how much the authors have worked together making this cohesive, big, big props to them! It’s no small feat having so many authors work together to make a large universe where the characters overlap and they keep their voice and personality throughout, incredibly impressive!
Alisha set the tone with Lexi, and Jenn definitely delivered here—even raising the bar. I am so here for it! Here’s to hoping that the madness continues!
And finally to my favorite quote, enjoy!
"We glance at each other smugly before I remember he's on the community shit list. If Silva doesn't like you, neither do I. Solidarity in pettiness."
I absolutely knew when I saw this series was coming out that I was going to absolutely love it. I absolutely loved Lexie but my god, this book gave me a totally new perspective of what these two girls went through, especially Silva. I’m going to say before you start this book, definitely read the triggers if you have any because this is a hard one.
I’m a huge lover of omegas and alphas but this book truly made me fall in love with betas because Syrus is a whole nother breed of a man that I didn’t even know that I needed. He’s so patient, loving, dominant as hell and my goodness, he’s definitely the Daddy of the group. I don’t care what anyone says. This man runs the show.
Izzy. Sweet omega. I love him so much. He’s an omega pretending to be a beta and he has every reason to. When he goes through his heat, he’s so adorable and such a brat that I just want to cuddle him him. I really loved the shower scene with Syrus, Silva and Izzy because that’s when things started to look up for all of them.
And the alphas. They both made me laugh but man, Harlan was such a character.
I really loved that the girls got their vengeance on both accounts and the ending was just so beautiful. I really loved how strong Silva was and she opened her heart to let these guys in. I also loved the pacing she did by the bonding because it made so sense how it was at different times.
If you haven’t read any of Jenn’s books, I truly and highly recommend it because she just sucks you into her amazing world that she creates.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Another hit out of the park by Jenn. Silva takes place in the Beware of the Widows series and does overlap with the first book, but you don't need to read that before diving into this why choose, omegaverse romance although I highly recommend doing so as someone who didn't and felt as though I would have enjoyed the story more knowing a bit more about the background to Silva and her connection to Lexi.
What I loved about this story was that Silva (and Lexi) took a terrible situation that they were trapped in and turned it into something positive in the form of Widows Peak, a safe haven not only for other omegas, but anyone in need of help or protection. Monkey wrenches get thrown into Silva's life when Harlan, Kyren and Isidro blow into town looking for the girls. Without spoiling the story, let me just say that I loved seeing that Silva blew off Harlan and Kyren, our two alphas, right from the beginning not giving them the time of day. It was really fun to see just what they would do to try to win her over, especially since they had been looking for her for so long. I also love to see her beta, Syrus really step in and protect her, not only as her best friend and the sheriff in the town, but as someone she has given her love to. I think this really added a layer to the story that made the other 3 men vying for her attention take note of and really step up to prove that they were worthy of Silva not only in her eyes, but in his as well. Don't be fooled though this story is still DARKKKK, but the balance between the light and the dark moments and the demons that Silva has to fight was refreshing. Highly recommend if you are a lover of dark romance or why choose.
⭐⭐⭐ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⤷ This is the second book in the Beware of The Widows shared world series, It's significantly darker than Lexi's story. ⤷ I was warned that Jenn's books are on the dark side, and I don't think Jenn's way of writing is for me. The prelude was rough, and there were on-page depictions of SA that I felt didn't need that many details, which left a bad impression. ‼️Make sure to check CW/TW.‼️ ⤷ I had a hard time connecting to the alphas, they started on the wrong foot with Silva, and I was missing the emotional connection to Silva. On the other hand, I really loved the MMC Syrus & Isidro and their dynamic with Silva.

Book two in the Beware of the Widows universe is not for the faint of heart — and those trigger warnings are not suggestions. This one dives straight into the darkness. The trauma is raw and on page, but it never feels like shock for shock’s sake. It’s Silva’s story — and she is forged in fire.
Seeing her perspective after reading Lexi completely reframed everything. Silva didn’t just survive — she clawed her way out of hell and built a haven so no other omega would suffer like she did. She is the first to jump in and the last to walk away. She would burn the world down to keep her people safe.
And watching her finally let someone protect her? That’s where this book shines.
Syrus — the beta sheriff — is steady, dominant, and the emotional glue of the group. I loved that we saw their bond develop first. It made their connection feel earned and meaningful.
Then the rest of the pack: unhinged Harlan, steady Kyren, and sweet, bratty Izzy (who you just have to experience). The pacing of the bonding made sense, the banter hit, and the chaos balanced beautifully with moments of softness.
The revenge is brutal and cathartic. Silva doesn’t need a savior — she saves herself, with her pack beside her. The Widows continue to be messy, complicated, and deeply human, which makes this series so compelling.
Dark, emotional, revenge-driven, and full of found family energy — if that’s your thing, this one is absolutely worth it.
Great read!! This book was a lot darker than ‘Lexi’ (Alisha Williams) which is about Silvia’s twin. This was dark, emotional, funny and spicy with some sweet moments as well.
Silva is a very independent and grumpy Omega who has a very traumatic past most of which she has kept to herself. She’s always putting everyone first no matter the cost to herself….. which is proven starting in the prologue. After being in her safe haven town for years, she finally gives into her feelings for the Syrus, the sheriff. A few weeks after 2 Alphas and a ‘Beta’ (Harlan, Kyren and Isidro) come into town looking for answers. They just happen to be her scent matches…. But they don’t make the best first impression 🤣 They do make it up to her, while slowly gaining her trust.
While in the process of getting to know her they learn of her past and they all want to help put her demons to rest once and for all so she can finally make real progress on healing her trauma from the past.
While the book mostly is about Silva and her past…. We also find out about Syrus’ dark past, and now that they are all ‘family’ they all decide to help him too.
No cheating, no OWD, no third act break up with a HEA…..and revenge 😉
Definitely check your TWs for this one if needed.
* Omega Safe Haven * MMMMF / OAABO * Special Forces Alpha & Male Omega * Beta Sheriff * Age Gap * Scent Matches
🤣”And for God’s sake, wash your face. Your beard isn’t a flavor saver. “ 🤣
First things first — please check your trigger warnings. This series does not play around. Protect your peace before you dive in.
Lexi might be my girl… but Silva owns my whole heart. What these women endured? Absolutely devastating. And finally learning the full truth of what Silva went through — the depth, the trauma, the quiet strength beneath it all — left me stunned. The revelations in this book hit hard and reframe everything.
This is book two in the Beware of the Widows series, and we step fully into Silva’s world — her pack of very tempting alphas and steady, swoon-worthy betas…
…or at least that’s what we thought. 😏
Because when that twist drops? UNHINGED. I gasped. I reread. I questioned everything.
The spice? A solid four. It’s intense, emotional, and deeply connected to the story — not just heat for the sake of heat. The bonds, the tension, the protectiveness? Chef’s kiss.
But what really sets this book apart is the healing. Beneath the angst, beneath the steam, beneath the shock factor — this is a story about reclaiming power, about being seen, about finding safety after devastation.
It’s a roller coaster you don’t want to get off — equal parts wrecking and mending your heart.
Two books in and this series is delivering knockout after knockout. I am fully invested, emotionally attached, and not remotely prepared for what’s coming next.
A dark omegaverse why-choose romance — powerful and beautiful.
This series follows a group of omega girls who manage to escape a cruel fate imposed on them, as if life hadn’t already been harsh enough.
For me, this second book is heavier than the first, so I recommend checking the CW beforehand.
Our wonderful FMC is fiercely protective of her sister, and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do to keep her safe — what others try to use that against her.
But this story doesn’t only bring heartache. It also delivers inspiring moments, humor, steamy scenes, and unexpected twists.
We begin with a glimpse into the FMC’s painful past and how, with the help of the other survivors, she helps transform a place into a refuge for lost souls — a sanctuary for those who need a new beginning. The world needs more places like Widow’s Peak.
Despite the painful past, the most powerful part of the story is the present. We get to see these characters heal, grow, smile, love, and truly live — not just survive.
Another aspect I loved is how the story highlights that all designations matter. The FMC first forms a strong and intense bond with a wonderful beta MMC. Later, the dynamic expands to include an omega male and two alphas who are already together.
Since the books are interconnected, we don’t have to say goodbye to them just yet. We’ll likely see glimpses of their happiness in future books — almost like watching their well-earned HEA unfold.
After reading Lexi’s story, I couldn’t wait for Silva’s story! Silva was always fiercely protective over her twin and sacrificed pieces of herself to keep Lexi safe. Years after their escape, the nightmares of their time cage and her guilt still haunt her.
When a new pair of alphas and suspicious beta come probing around Widow’s Peak, old wounds are opened as new connections are forged. And Silva’s quiet life gets turned on its head.
Tropes: 👀Multi POV ❤️🩹Healing heroine 🤫Secret omega 🚨Sheriff MC 🚫Touch her & 💀 🖤Dark omegaverse (2 omegas, 2 alphas, 1 beta) 🫂Forced proximity 🤭Alphas breaking all the rules ‼️Emergency heat
While Sheriff Syrus knows Silva can take care of herself, that doesn’t stop him from prioritizing her safety. Their tension has been brewing for years and they finally decide to take their relationship beyond friendship. The pack of Isidro, Harlan, and Kyren come in hot! Charismatic, dominant, and a little feral.
Mistrust abounds and I loved seeing this pack slowly come together to become a ride-or-d!e unit. Silva deserves the world and her HEA was hard-earned and so gratifying. This story brings the heat (IYKYK) and I’m so excited for the next interconnected story!
Huge thanks to the author for the review copy opportunity! This is my honest and voluntary review.
I’m just continuing to fall in love with this series! Silva is book two in the Beware of the Widows shared world, and it got a whole lot darker. The book follows Silva, an omega, and the pack she collects along the way: Syrus, a beta; Izzy, an omega pretending to be a beta; and Harlan and Kyren, our Alphas.
I fell absolutely in love with this pack! Their first heat together was so memorable and so spicy. Silva’s story is heartbreaking and leaves her with lots of trauma that she is still yet to recover from. Watching her meet these guys and have them slowly help her heal and learn to love is beautiful.
Syrus might be our beta, but he definitely takes on the pack Alpha role, and you’ll absolutely fall in love with him straight away. Izzy, Harlan, and Kyren definitely have some sucking up to do after failing miserably when meeting Silva for the first time, but they more than make up for it. This pack has so much chemistry and some great banter that leaves you feeling all the feels.
The revenge in this book is so great. It’s gruesome and dark but so satisfying. It shows us how badass these Widows can be. I can’t wait for more of this series.

Silva is the second story in the Beware of The Widows series written by Jenn Bullard.
💜 small town 💜 past hurts 💜 twins 💜 scent matches 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spicy spice
Silva may be a twin with Lexi, but she has tried to help protect her as much as possible. First was when they were at their foster parent’s house with their foster brothers. She did what she needed to do to keep Lexi safe. Now they are safe in their town, but that doesn’t stop Silva from wanting to protect Lexi. Plus, it’s fun to flirt a little with the sheriff in town and work as a bar tender in the bar that she owns with Lexi and another Widow in town. But what happens when a couple of alphas show up with a beta as well? Will they kick them out of town or will they turn out to be ok and allowed to stay?
This was a good addition to this new world. Each of the stories are stand alone books, but so far, I think you should read them in order. I liked how we got Silvia’s story after getting Lexi’s. The two stories went well together. I liked how there was more world building and character building. This story is a bit darker than Lexi’s and if that could be a problem, you should pay attention to the trigger warnings. But, I really liked this book and I can’t wait to see whose story will come next.
Silva by Jenn Bullard a part of The Beware the Widows ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶🌶💀💀💀💀 Silva is a dark Omegaverse and has excellent characters. Silva is strong, brave in the face of her fear. Syrus is the perfect beta, sheriff of their town but most of all he is a Silva whisperer. Lol! Their blossoming relationship gets new players. Isidro, Izzy, an omega hiding his destination. Alphas Kyren and Harlan who have been searching for her and her sister. Scentmatches to these unknowables leads to some electric interactions. Silva is an absolute spark. I totally enjoyed reading her story and how Syrus fixed, smooth and encourages them. I am definitely wanting to read the other omegas stories, especially Lexi's.
Tropes: Omegas. Heats. Low grade stalking. Triggers. Scentmatches. Chosen family. Cinnamon roll mmc. Touch her and dïe.
Quotes: Tequila tends to help drown a girl’s bad decisions, and the salt helps to cauterize the emotional wounds.
“Unless you’re opposed, I really want to ride you like a pogo stick.”
“You almost stayed?!” Isidro asks again, yelling. “Are you fucking insane?” “Isidro, stop being broken,” I complain. “Spitfire, do you think he needs a reboot?”
“No alpha barks!” I yell. “Bad puppy. Behave for the nice psycho omegas.”
When you have an alpha-free town your sense of security is shaken when two alphas and a beta who “smells wrong” arrive asking questions about a cold case. The tension that creates? Immediate. The fact that the alphas are her scent matches adds another layer of delicious complication. Fate knocking at the door when you’ve sworn you’re fine without it always makes for compelling drama.
The trauma element was handled thoughtfully. The nightmares, the hesitation to want more, the guilt of surviving when others didn’t it all felt grounded and real. Watching her try to accept that she deserves good things, especially as she begins something with the town’s sheriff, added emotional depth and conflict that kept the stakes personal even as the larger mystery unfolded.
The setup is rich, the tension is strong, and the premise of returning to free Gideon’s Dolls is powerful I just wanted to sit in those moments a bit longer.
Overall, this was a gripping, angsty read with layered world-building, second-chance-at-happiness vibes, and a heroine who feels both fragile and fierce. A solid four stars for a story that blends suspense, scent matches, and healing in a way that keeps you turning pages.
Wow. I love that we got both twins stories because they are the same but also wildly different. Silva took on a lot to ensure Lexi was safe. This book is definitely darker than Levi's so check your triggers.
I love that both girls first let in a local they knew really well. Syrus was perfect for her. He had a dark past that involved his omega sister's disappearance and issues with the Seattle police department. Watching their relationship blossom first was beautiful.
I absolutely adored Izzy. His body demanding he lean into his designation whether he was ready or not was a fun lead into the crazy double heat. I mean having one strong Omega is good but having two of them is perfect.
Let me tell you that the revenge that was had in thus one is dark, depraved and absolutely fantastic. The first guys death was not clean or nice in the slightest. It was dark, bloody and exactly what he deserved. This was really a turning point bin her mental health and I loved seeing her grow.
This is a story steeped in pain and fear. This is the story of survival. This is fighting back. This is revenge. This is overcoming. This is starting over. This is healing. This is allowing love to give you a better tomorrow.
Beware the Widows is an omegaverse shared world brought to you by five talented authors. There is a town that exists, one road in, one road out, that is a safe haven for Omegas who have been hurt, traumatised and need a sanctuary to live their lives peacefully. Widows Peak was built by the Widows, six Omegas who have their own trauma and these are their stories.
Silva is Book 2 in the series and after reading her twin sister's story in book 1, I knew we were in for a dark journey through Silva's past. Her strength is astounding, her need to protect, paramount but her love for sister is unquestionable. If you love reading stories of women who empower others, are a force to be reckoned with and show a vulnerable side to those who earn their love, then you will love Silva. Syrus stands out as the epitome of a true supportive and loving partner, the rest of Silva's pack will grow on you, especially after they realise the depth of Silva's character and how far she is willing to go to protect herself and her town. The story is written beautifully by Jenn Bullard, her words are engaging, descriptive and continues to build this shared world with depth and emotion. I am loving this series and cannot wait to read about the remaining Widows.
Seriously, NO one does a good bloody revenge story like Jenn Bullard 🥹 Silva's story was a bit darker than her sister Lexi's because she did what she thought needed to be done to protect her twin. As with most of Jenn's stories, this you need to go in CHECKING THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!! But like with most of them there is a good dose of humor mixed in there! Jenn always writes these bad ass female characters and I just can't get enough of them! Seeing the bad guys get exactly what they deserve is one of the BEST things about reading her books! So many times I feel like I'm left wanting because the main characters fell like they need to take the moral high ground even when they've been dragged through hell 😏 Lol but not Jenn 😂 Nope! She believes in metal poles up the rear, penis Picasso and shoving grenades inside of body cavities 😂 it's absolutely chef's kiss and I'll never get enough of it 😂 I'm so excited to get the rest of the Widows' stories. This is book 2 in the series by multiple authors and and it's just beginning 🤗 I can't wait to see what's in store 🖤 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐📚 overall story 🌶️🌶️🌶️ spice level
Silva is an omega who is pretending to be a beta because she's in hiding. Silva and her twin, Lexi, escaped an awful situation with other women, and they all worked together to create this safe haven where alphas are not welcome. The community they built is amazing. I love that everyone in town cares for everyone else and protects their own. When the guys first come to town, nobody knows who they are so they're very suspicious (which makes sense) and won't give up any information about anyone who lives there. I was thoroughly entertained by the first time Silva met Kyren and Harlan. It was so funny, and I think that's when I fell in love with those 2.
Jenn always creates the perfect men. All of Silva's guys are great, and it's difficult to choose a favorite, but I think Syrus leads by a narrow margin. He's the perfect mix of dominant and loving and supportive. He just wants what is best for Silva and what will make her happy. Izzy comes in at a very close 2nd for my favorite. He's goofy, but also snarky, and can be a smart@ss too.
As this is a Jenn Bullard book, make sure you check your trigger warnings. She's not nice to her FMCs and this book is no exception.
This is the next series in the widow series and while I think this and Lexi can be read in any order I would highly recommend reading both.
Silva twin sister of Lexi has made a new life for herself in widows peak and the story starts as her relationship with Syrus is just changing.
I absolutely love syrus. He’s a beta giving off alpha energy. I honestly think he’s the best character.
I loved that syrus came first before the rest of the pack and gave a dynamic that you don’t usually see in ov.
Izzy and his alphas are already an established pack before their arrival in widows peak and although the initial meet and greet didn’t go to well (I’m looking at you Charlie). Things quickly pick up.
I really enjoyed the twist on Izzy and how he believes he has to operate.
The ending is wonderful, revenge recuses and a beautiful last chapter make this a solid 5* read for me.
Check your triggers!!!! This is dark on page and detailed. If you don’t like that don’t read it!! If you like your books triggered filled and extremely spicy this is the book for you
