This is such a cute book. Janet, the absolutely daring tailor meets a Mr. Vincenzo (Antonio), who does not realize when entering the shop that his old tailor has retired. He is greeted by Janet, who has a problem keeping her hands to herself. At first he is affronted, but Janet is too memorable to forget.
Antonio is a widower that as much as he does not want to, starts to feel things for Janet that he thought he would never feel again. He also has to fight against the prejudices of an old school Italian family that stem from a racist culture, and does not necessarily appreciate the "thickness" of Black women. Antonio has to stand up against his family, while letting his family understand that the old culture has reached its end in his family.
He also has a precocious daughter, who sees a lot more than she should, and calls both Janet and her dad out every time she feels that are proceeding in either the wrong or right direction. Because of her regard for Janet, Celeste also runs off any traditional Italian woman hoping to make her dad their husband. In this book Celeste gets grounded for probably the rest of her life, but she helps her dad and Janet to see how much they belong together.
When I tell you this book had me laughing. I really enjoyed this book. It had good flow the character development was awesome. I loved both of the main characters Janet was amazing. I love how she was a good mix of tough and soft. I also enjoyed the process of Anthony working through his past and finding out that she was everything he wasn't looking for. A great read make sure you read it.
Very enjoyable and sinfully entertaining! Janet and Anthony met and the attraction was mutual, in spite of the alpha not expecting or wanting to allow a woman to hit him up and him liking it! Janet’s boldness won over her soul connection, who was even bolder than she was!
So it’s everything I wanted in an Italian mafia book and nothing I expected. From type of heroine to the way the author had the characters handle conflict. I love the boldness of heroine and the jealousy of hero, could not have asked for better characters. Ms Tasha your are among my favorite authors. Love it!
OMG this story was absolutely amazing! Blended so well with the old ways moving into the 21st century 🧐🧐 Celeste was a delightful kid & she better just get herself off to college without getting grounded. Loving that the HEA included Janet and Anthony having a baby boy that Zia Rosa could spoil 🥰🥰 I hope to read more by author!!
Honey, this story is pure delight! The daughter had me laughing out loud-great comic relief from the scorching chemistry between the two main characters. Clutching my pearls became an Olympic sport during this creative, captivating tale!
I really like this story of Tony and Janet story. This story kept a smile on my face and the banter between them especially with Celeste was funny. I will continue to look for this writer's work.

This story had me laughing by the second page. Between Janet's boldness, Anthony in shock at her boldness and the comments he makes and her friend Shanice , I couldn't stop chuckling. Enjoyed the story and will look for another book by this author.
