Lydia was supposed to have an adventurous and exciting summer. Instead she's done nothing more than read and eat takeout. Now it's time to go home, and what does she have to show for it? A big fat nothing. Unless, of course, her trip to the airport somehow turns into something more than just a flight home.

Blake feels like he's been sent on a wild goose chase. While work is piling up back in Denver, he's on the other side of the country, hunting for some mysterious box that his grandfather left him. Well, no more. Nothing inside that box could possibly be more important than the opportunity to make it as the youngest partner at his firm. So he's going home, and that's that. But that's before he discovers his flight has been cancelled.

When these two strangers meet at the airport, they make a split-second decision to search for the box together. Maybe with both of them on the hunt, Lydia can have her adventure and Blake can find the box. And maybe, if they’re lucky, they’ll even find some romance.

So sweet!! This was such a heartwarming romance that made me feel all sappy and happy 😊 I would recommend this book to anyone that likes no angst, no ow/om drama and is ok with no real mystery. It was a simple romance, but still had what I call, the feels. Loved it!

I really liked this one. It was just a sweet, cute read. We met Lydia in Righting a Wrong, she is Jace's sister and is longing for some adventure in her otherwise clam life. She goes to North Carolina for the summer and ends up reading the whole time (sounds like a lovely vacation to me) and on her final day there she meets a handsome man at the airport. Blake is on his way home after a failed attempt at tracking down a mysterious box his grandfather wanted him to find.

I thought Blake and Lydia had a sweet relationship. I liked how things progressed, but wouldn't have minded a bit more kissing! They were cute together though and I thought they had a fun story. It was fun imagining what was in the box (I wasn't too surprised) and how it changes their lives.

Overall, a charming story and a perfect fit for this collection.

Super cute and just what I was looking for in a book. I wanted a sweet, non angsty book to help me escape the post election doldrums and ensuing ugliness for a while. This delivered exactly what I needed. It's a quick, easy read.

Clean, sweet romance between young workaholic attorney and young elementary teacher. They meet in an airport and end up on a quest together. I liked the way they worked together and got to know each other. I also appreciated that as they spent time together they got to see beneath the package and really appreciate each other. It's nothing complicated, it won't shock you or surprise you in bad ways and it's very low angst so if this sounds like something you would enjoy I recommend it.

This was such a fun, fast read! I don't generally have enough time to read a book straight through, but I just couldn't put this one down. Cambri offered Lydia her condo in North Carolina for the summer so she could go somewhere new and have adventures and excitement! However, Lydia wound up staying inside and reading and eating instead of getting out. While at the airport waiting for her flight home, she meets Blake, who's also from Colorado. He's a workaholic trying to make partner in his law firm who came to North Carolina to fulfill his grandfather's wish to get a box from a woman named Gladys. He wasn't able to find her so he's heading back home. Their flight got canceled at the last minute, so they decide to stick around a few days and see if they can track down Gladys.

I loved watching Lydia and Blake's relationship progress. They had great chemistry and Blake definitely helps Lydia have the adventure she had wanted all summer. They each do things that are way out of their comfort zones and enjoy their time together. Blake is able to learn the lesson his Grandpa wanted him to understand before it was too late. Lydia learned the importance of being brave and allowing someone into her heart. The ending put a huge smile on my face and this is a book I will definitely read again and again!

We also meet Francie, who we'll get to know better in the next book, Second Chances 101. I'm looking forward to it!

I received a copy of this to review. My opinion is 100% my own.

We left Lydia in the previous book, ready to embark on an adventurous summer in North Carolina. This story picked up at the end of the summer, which was fine, since she didn't do much besides reading and eating. I know how that feels--sometimes I'm all talk and not brave enough to follow through with my big plans. A chance meeting with Blake and a canceled flight led to an exciting couple of days and the fun was crammed in.

Like I said, I could relate to Lydia. I live a lot through books, just like she did. I loved the reoccurring theme and the pep talk she gave herself over and over again--be brave. Sometimes, it's hard to break out of the box, but Lydia realized that sometimes a person has to do that and the satisfaction that comes from doing so is very fulfilling.

Blake was awesome! His grandfather knew him well and the lesson he learned was really important. I loved how aware and thoughtful he was, not only towards Lydia, but towards Frankie, too. He was very chivalrous and thoughtful. I loved all the little things he planned to help Lydia out.

I've mentioned before how much I enjoy seeing the way this stories connect to one another. They're all so cute, different, and romantic. There were quite a few parts that had me smiling.

Content: kissing; Clean.

This was a sweet, feel-good novella. And bonus- it taught a great life lesson!

I liked both main characters. (Although I experienced second-hand embarrassment on behalf of Lydia, who revealed herself to have literally spent every day of a 3-month summer vacation in a cool town by READING. That was so pathetic and boring that I never would have confessed that to a cute guy I just met.) Anyway, she came out of her shell and did fun stuff with him, and it all ended well. It was definitely cute.

3 stars = I liked it

This is the fourth novella in the Ripple Effect series and this might be my favorite so far. So heartwarming and romantic, this one really touched my heart.

Karey White does such a great job with the characterization. I love how Lydia wanted to experience adventure, but didn't quite have the courage to do more than plan adventures for herself. She lives a lot through books and, though she has friends, she seems quite lonely. Then she meets Blake at the airport, a Ryan Gosling lookalike that tells her he's trying to find a mysterious box his grandfather left for him. When their flight is delayed she makes the last second decision to help him find the box and her adventure finally begins.

Blake is a motivated guy who wants to make partner at his firm. At first he just seems like every other good looking guy with an eye for a high flying career and no life, but we soon see his kind heart and when we finally find out what was in the box? Oh, get the Kleenex! I loved the romance between Blake and Lydia, it's the type that makes your heart go pitty pat as you read. *le sigh*

The other thing I really liked about this book was the attention to detail in the location. The author did a really great job with the setting. Made me want to go visit.

I absolutely loved this book. I laughed out loud in the first chapter then continued to smile, laugh, and sigh the rest of the way through. Karey White is an awesome writer and did a beautiful job telling Lydia's story. This novella is fun, touching, and romantic. I adored the characters and love that she brought Cambri back in for a cameo appearance. Read it! You'll love it. :)

WHAT THE BOOK'S ABOUT
Lydia was supposed to have an adventurous and exciting summer.

MY TAKE
A little disclaimer. I loved this book--but not because my book follows this one in the series, and one of my characters makes a cameo appearance. Let me explain.

One of the things that really draws me into a story is the characterization. I want to love the people and, as the they fall in love, I want to fall in love right along side them. I related to Lydia, whose situation reminded me of when I was a teen. I was going on fifteen, my mother had just died, and we lived in a place where I didn't know anyone. I wanted desperately to reach out and DO something. Maybe it was me being lonely and maybe it was wanting to take some control of my life that had changed so drastically. But I understood Lydia's motivations for what she did.

Karey does a great job with the location. I felt like I was there and now I want to make a visit and do the fun things Lydia and Blake did, taste the foods they ate. I especially liked how Blake helped Lydia in finding out what she had missed while she'd been reading and eating takeout. While his search was the reason for their journey, it wasn't all about Blake.

And Blake. He was really nice at the beginning but, as the story unfolds, I learned to like him more and more. And the mystery they uncovered ... *sniff*

When I read a romance, I want to be flying high when I'm done. Karey White made me soar.

I’m pretty sure I say this every time I review one of these books, but I can’t help it. I love them. I love the concept of “the ripple effect” where a character from a previous book has their story told. In this book it’s Lydia’s turn. Yeah!

Lydia decided to take the summer and do something for herself; something adventurous and out of her comfort zone. It took bravery and courage to travel to an unknown city and live by herself for the whole summer. She was supposed to have adventures and live it up but found she just couldn’t be so bold on her own. Feeling a bit let down and deflated, she heads to the airport on her way home.

Enter Blake. (thank goodness) It was just destiny. Blake is everything charming. Right away he sees Lydia, like really sees her. I love how they morph their plans together and set out on an adventure. Lydia is helping Blake find something that is seemingly lost but Blake is a kind soul and takes Lydia into consideration at every turn, providing her with her own moments to shine. That was so sweet. They are equally so good for each other. I felt like neither one outshined the other. Does that make sense? They both gave as much as they took.

Blake gives Lydia confidence and faith in herself. He opens her up to new things and allows her to spread her wings and fly. Lydia gives Blake support and encouragement. She gives him a safe place to figure things out and feel.

The title is so clever here because it’s more than a lost box that needed found. It was Lydia’s lost confidence and Blake’s lost priorities. Together they found the very things they needed. And love. They found love.

This was a fun book and a fantastic addition to The Ripple Effect series. Sweet, clean romance with no content whatsoever to mention. How happy!

I love a good book that puts a smile on my face and see the good in love.

Lydia is the sister of one of the main characters, Jace, from book three in this series. I liked her in that book, but I really liked her in this one. She is finishing her summer staying in her sister-in-law's condo. She was supposed to be brave and daring, maybe even have a summer fling. Instead, she did what I would have done and stayed home reading books and getting take-out.

At the airport she meets Blake, he is also on his way home to Colorado. He has been trying to find letters that his grandfather wanted him to read. Their flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems and they team up to give her an adventure and find the letters. They have two days to do it.

Both characters are wonderful. I loved them. They egg each other on and do things that neither thought they would do. They have a great time in the hunt and learn some valuable life lessons in the process. I enjoyed reading about them and their journey's. Their trip was two days, but because of how well they got along, it felt as if they had known each other much longer.

This is a wonderful, clean romance. Even though it is part of a series, it can be picked up and read as a stand alone. Reading the other books just adds to the fun.

I loved, loved this one! From the book description I wasn't as excited about reading this one (it's the 4th one in the series), but once I started reading it I didn't want to put it down!

Lydia is a 5th grade school teacher who came to Charlotte, NC for the summer to stay rent-free in Cambri's (her future sister-in-law) condo. She's supposed to be having adventures, but she really just spent the summer reading books and ordering take-out.

Blake is working lots and lots of hours at his law firm, hoping to be the youngest to ever make partner. He has already taken a couple of days off work to find a box his grandfather wanted him to come to Charlotte, NC to find. When he meets Lydia in the airport and their flight gets cancelled, and she suggests that they spend a couple of days looking for it, he is surprised to discover that he really wants to help Lydia have her adventure.

I loved Blake and Lydia together - they always put the other person first, and everything always works out! I also loved the message of what's permanent and what's temporary. And I really love the choices they both make...

I know I have said it before, but I am really loving this series. If you are in the mood for some well written, sweet and clean romances, then this series is for you. Lost & Found is Lydia's Story. Lydia is Trace's sister who was featured in the last novella, Righting a Wrong. Lydia went to Charlotte, NC for an adventurous summer only to be returning home with nothing to show for it. A chance meeting with the handsome Blake in the airport sparks a spontaneous adventure that is life changing in more ways than one.

This story only proves that sometimes the greatest times in our lives are the ones that are unexpected and unplanned. I loved Lydia and Blake together. I thought they were a really cute couple. Both kind of afraid to go for what they wanted, but each really brave in trying to help the other take a chance. I loved their HEA. I won't tell you what is in the box that Blake does finally find, but I can say it's worth taking the journey with Blake and Lydia to find out!

LOVED. LOVED. LOVED. IT!
My favorite so far in the series!

FUN!
ROMANTIC!
HUMOROUS!
HEART-TOUCHING!
SO. SO. SO. GOOD!

Lydia is shy and alone in a new city.

This was suppose to be her big adventure for the summer. But she spent the summer reading and ordering takeout instead.

Blake is on an errand from his grandfather to find a box belonging to a woman Blake has never met.

He is out of time and is headed home empty-handed.

Blake and Lydia are scheduled for the same flight back home when the flight gets cancelled.

As they stand in line to make future flight arrangements these two talk about there missed adventures.

Lydia makes an on-the-spot decision to help Blake stay two more days and find his box.

And Blake secretly decides he is going to help Lydia get her adventure.

The story that follows is one NOT TO BE MISSED!
YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Did I enjoy this book: I really did. Lost and Found is a quick read that I finished in a day.

This is a sweet story. I liked Lydia’s and Blake’s adventurous spirit. They connected instantly, but didn’t completely fall for one another immediately. This book left me wanting more. It left me happy.

Would I recommend it: Yes. This is a great series. Quick reads. Happy endings.

Super cute story about two people who couldn't be more different but somehow find a common ground in their shared desire to solve the same mystery. I really liked Lydia and how she had a thirst for adventure but not enough courage to go out and find it. In a last-stitch effort to say she did more over the summer than read, she takes a chance on a handsome stranger, Blake. I really liked the way they got to know each other while looking for the message Blake's grandfather wanted him to have. Both tragic and heartwarming, this novella with bring a smile to your lips and a tear to your eye.

I thought that this book was cute, fun, and has a super sweet romance. Lydia is the kind of person who is afraid to step out of her comfort zone. She’s living in Cambri’s apartment (from Righting a Wrong) and is supposed to have an adventurous summer, but instead spent the entire time reading about other people’s adventures. Then she meets Blake, who is searching for a box left to him by his grandfather. When their flight is cancelled, they decide to extend their trip and find Blake’s mysterious box—thus propelling them on the adventure of a lifetime.

This is such a sweet romance! Lydia and Blake are adorable together and watching the two of them encourage one another, yet be willing to call the other out on inconsistencies made them feel like real people. They’re both a little lost at the beginning of the story and it takes an impulsive adventure to search out a mysterious box to help them figure out where they want their lives to go. A fun, quick read that kept me grinning! It’s definitely one I’ll reread when I’m in need of a little delightfulness to sweep me away for an hour or two.

Clean, fun romance

After reading Righting a wrong, I knew I had to read Lost and Found to finish Lydia's story and I'm so glad I did. Blake and Lydia's adventure was fun, cute, and just what I needed to finish my Christmas break. Karen White is a great author and I look forward to reading more of her books.

This was a sweet one, especially given the limited space given for the completion of the story. (As I've said before, a real drawback of novellas over novels.)

This one told a simple story in a simple fashion, and it was sweet and believable. It mainly deals with the very beginning of a relationship, the forming of an attraction and possibility, which is more appropriate for a novella. You did, of course, learn the end result of everything, but the bulk of the novella was taken up with the tender beginnings of a budding romance, and that can readily be told in a short span.

Nice work, very cute.

Even though Lydia enjoyed my kind of vacation... reading and eating takeout... she was supposed to have a more adventurous Summer vacation and it wasn't until she was heading home that it finally turned into that. Blake met Lydia when their flight was cancelled and together they decided to find the box he came to find before heading home. I loved their connection they built and how they were there for each other to accomplish what they were sent out to do. This was well written and I loved their chemistry.

What a wonderful example of how a little bit of courage can bring about wonderfully unexpected rewards! While you can live life in the slow lane and be content and happy, is it worth missing out on surprise blessings that are ours if we would just reach out and grab them? Sometimes doing what we should do is even better than doing what we want to do. Who really knows what treasures are hidden just behind the door that we fear to open?

Lydia spent her summer in her friend’s condo in Charlotte, North Carolina in order to have the adventure that she has always dreamed of. She has lived a safe and small life in Bridger with her family, and now she is finally ready to spread her wings and fly except she has fallen flat on her face instead of soaring through the clouds. Her courage was only short lived, and now she must go back home and bury her disappointment deep inside. Blake is a successful lawyer on the fast track to becoming a partner in his firm. He has no idea why he is following his grandfather’s wishes from the grave and setting out on an adventure to find his inheritance. His search turns up nothing, and he too is on his way home with a heart full of disappointment and confusion as to why he even came to Charlotte while risking his job. When these two lonely souls collide, the unexpected become reality and the unlikely becomes possible. Will they find the courage and the missing part of themselves that they are desperately in search of, or will they settle for what they are used to and risk losing something irreplaceable?

The happenstance meeting of Lydia and Blake was so incredibly cute and forever memorable. There was no reason whatsoever for these two to form a quick friendship when they should have just parted ways as the strangers they were and went back home with their tails between their legs. Instead, Lydia was tired of always feeling like she was letting life pass her by, and she resolutely decided to take the road less traveled and help Blake on his personal quest. After all, his adventure was a lot more interesting than what she had planned once she arrived home. Blake was very surprised to say the least at her offer, but what did he honestly have to lose since his partnership was already on shaky ground at this point. He welcomed the intriguing help, and he also welcomed the foreign but pleasing presence of this beautiful female who was somewhat interested in him or at least in his little task.

Watching both Lydia and Blake open up and get to know each other was like watching a well-tended and nurtured seed bloom into a beautiful flower. While their meeting and time spent together was rushed and very unconventional, it was nonetheless true and honest. Two people who have found themselves wandering this world in search of something they can’t name or put words literally stumble upon exactly what they need and want in each other. You can never go wrong when you speak truth and encouragement from the heart. When all would lead you astray, the heart will always lead you home.

I am extremely impressed with Karey White’s incredible talent in weaving such a sweet and endearing story of two people who have lost their focus on what is most important. There was never a time when I was not able to feel the healing and the transformation that took place within and between Lydia and Blake. Their belief and persistence in a simple yet challenging mission cultivated the belief that they were worthy of something greater then what they had settled for. They resolutely put aside what was worthless and temporary and replaced it with something that was permanent and priceless.
