Combining the sugar rush of candy making with a fascinating look at Amish life, a quirky whodunit, and a sweet romance between chocolatier Bailey King and Sheriff Aiden Brody, Amanda Flower’s USA Today bestselling Amish Candy Shop Mysteries continue, as summer wedding season comes to the village of Harvest, Ohio…

Horror d'oeuvres

Summer is finally upon the village of Harvest, Ohio, nestled in picturesque Amish Country, and folks are abuzz over their very own Bailey King’s upcoming June wedding. The Amish Candy shop owner and star of TV’s Bailey’s Amish Sweets is marrying Holmes County Sheriff Aiden Brody. To sweeten the occasion will be a scrumptious giant chocolate truffle wedding cake, made especially for the happy couple by Bailey’s New York City mentor, Jean Pierre. Other than the risk of the ring bearer, Jethro the pig, taking a bite out of the confection, what could go wrong?

As it turns out, a food-related disaster does befall the day. But with Bailey in the mix, it’s nothing so pedestrian as a peckish pig. At the reception, a wedding guest dies after sampling the hors d'oeuvres. Café owner and new caterer Darcy Woodin, who made all the food except the desserts, is pegged by police as the number one suspect. Even more incriminating, the victim is one of Darcy's ex-boyfriends . . .

Still, Bailey is friends with Darcy, and she’s certain the young woman is innocent. Even before the first dance with her new husband, Bailey’s on the case. Can she help solve it in time for her honeymoon—or will a killer try to end her happily ever after before it’s even begun . . .?

I have read every book in Amanda Flower’s Amish Candy Shop Mysteries and Truffle Trouble is the tenth book of this series. There’s a lot of things happening in this book that readers don’t want to miss out on. It’s a busy time of the year and Margot Rawlings, Harvest Community Planner has planned to have a wine tasting event in the Village Square. Of course she wants Bailey to provide chocolates to pare with the different wines. But Bailey is busy with something else that is far more important to her than a wine tasting event. Then there’s the Amish who of course want nothing to do with a wine event in their village square. As if that isn’t enough there’s a murder in the town square during this busy season. Bailey winds up investigating the murder because she thinks Sheriff Aiden has arrested the wrong suspect.
I always love to read a good Cozy Mystery book and Amanda Flower never disappoints. I thought this murder was perplexing. I did guess who the killer was but that doesn’t happen very often. It was a page turner and readers were kept guessing till the last chapter. This is a book you’re not going to want to put down once you start reading it.
I highly recommend Truffle Trouble to readers of Cozy Mystery and Suspense. It’s scheduled for release in 3/31/26
I read An Advanced Readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

It's finally here, Bailey and Aiden are getting married and there's nothing that will stand in the way, until a dead body is discovered, that is.
Bailey knows her friend Darcy didn't kill her ex boyfriend, but she's running out of time to get the investigation wrapped up.
It doesn't help that Margot keeps asking for Bailey's help with the wine festival, or that she somehow finds herself pig sitting Jethro.
I loved reading this book, there so many different things happening, I had to read until I finished.
When Bailey's grandmother is found on the floor of the candy shop, it shakes her up and we saw how much she loves her.

This series gets better as it goes on. Even the antics of Margot and Ruth won’t bring me down; despite their negative comments, I love to see what they will come up with next. At book 10, you’d expect a little more focus on keeping up with all the characters, as other series seem to do, but this one is still very focused on the mystery; you still get to catch up with your favorites, but it’s added in neatly into the story. I would have liked more wedding details but other than that, this was a great addition to the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for the review copy.

It is always fun to catch up with Bailey, Aiden, Maami, and Jethro, and this story is special because Bailey and Aiden are getting married. I have to confess that after waiting so long for this wedding to take place that it is very much an after thought to this book and didn't really get the space I hoped for. That being said, we definitely get everyone that Bailey and Aiden ever interacted with in the story as they are all at the wedding where it is determined someone was murdered. The murder centers around a wine soriee that Margot has planned that Bailey isn't even supposed to be in town for as she and Aiden are supposed to be on their honeymoon but of course they don't go as there is a murder. That means Margot drags Bailey into helping, but when her friend Darcy is accused of poisoning her ex with a mushroom, Bailey must also work to find the truth. Weaving her way between the Amish and English worlds with Jethro along for the ride, answers will be found. When Bailey King and her fiance Sheriff Aiden Brody planned the finer details of their wedding, they forgot to include the dead body in the kitchen! Now, with the honeymoon cancelled, a family member in the hospital, town organiser, Margo's summer soiree about to start, and Jethro the pig sure he needs to be the center of everything, it's probably just as well Bailey stayed home! As she tries to help her new husband, Bailey is dismayed to discover all the clues point to someone she's almost sure didn't do it. Can she get things sorted out so she and Aiden can celebrate their honeymoon before their first wedding anniversary, or is that a step too far?

I was able to read an advanced copy of this thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, Kensington Publishing, Kensington Cosies, but the opinions expressed are my own. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and Jethro once again stole the show, with Margo coming in a close second. The summer soiree added an interesting second storyline with a moral dilemma that definitely made me think. The mystery was good, and I may have missed some clues, but I didn't guess whodunit at all . I am looking forward to reading about what happens next in the village of Harvest.

"Truffle Trouble (An Amish Candy Shop Mystery #10)" by Amanda Flower has Bailey and Aiden finally getting married. They almost have a perfect wedding but don't get to sneak off to their honeymoon. Unfortunately, just as they're about to do their send off a man is found dead in the candy factory's kitchen. Aiden can't leave the investigation to his men and Bailey feels she has to stick around since it's her factory.

Good thing they stick around. Apparently no one else can survive doing anything in Harvest without one of them. The town event coordinator has a steamrolls Bailey into helping with a wine themed event. An event a good amount of the town is against. Plus Bailey is struggling with investigating (even though she doesn't need to) and what's going on with her grandma. She seriously is way too nice and can't ever seem to be able to say no to anyone but her husband. It's getting a bit too predictable.

Bailey does her thing. Seriously what does her husband even really do to investigate other than to support her investigation. I was pretty set on a specific culprit but really they were involved in a different way. Over all it seemed a bit quicker of a read and was a decent story well in modern cozy mystery territory.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review "Truffle Trouble", the tenth book in Amanda Flower's 'Amish Candy Shop" mystery series.
It's Bailey and Aiden's wedding day, and what could possibly go wrong in the Amish town of Harvest? As it turns out, quite a bit.
The wedding goes off without a hitch, but the reception - not so much. As one guest comments, "It was a lovely wedding day - except for the murder". It appears that one of the guests - a local vineyard owner with a somewhat shady past in the village - has died after consuming one of the canapes lovingly prepared by Bailey's friend Darcy who had a previous relationship with the deceased and was seen arguing with him not long before the wedding service.
And of course, there's an event about to happen in Harvest, organized by the inimitable Margot Rawlings; Bailey had thought that she would not get wrangled into it, but - thanks to the murder investigations that has temporarily derailed their honeymoon - it seems that this is not to be.
So not only does Bailey have an investigation to launch, she has to wrangle bickering winery owners and deal with a family emergency all to close to home. Can she do it? Will she do it? You'll just have to read and find out.
As always, Jethro the polka dot pig steals the show more than once.
A great addition to the series, and recommended.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book. I am a fan of this series and look forward to each installment. This book continues to develop the story with characters we have come to know as well as introducing some new ones. I enjoyed the interaction between the Amish and English character & as a NE Ohio native, I appreciate the descriptions of Amish Country. I will keep reading this series and hope for the next book soon as the ending lends itself to an interesting premise for the story.

We are back in the charming town of Harvest, Ohio, for the long-awaited wedding of Bailey and Aiden. The couple has everything planned, including a quick getaway for their honeymoon immediately following the festivities. However, the celebration takes a dark turn when Bailey discovers the body of Jason, a local winemaker, right in the middle of the candy sweet factory.

With their honeymoon on hold, the duo finds themselves entangled in another mystery—Aiden investigating officially, and Bailey, in her usual fashion, doing a bit of her own sleuthing.

While it took me a little while to get fully invested in the plot and the finer details, I was eventually hooked and couldn't wait to see "whodunnit." One of my favorite parts of this series is learning more about the Amish faith and lifestyle; it adds such a unique layer to the story. The ending caught me by surprise, as I hadn't guessed the killer at all! Even with the quirky—and occasionally annoying—townspeople, this was a satisfying conclusion to the mystery.

How great to see Bailey and Aiden finally get married, but of course the story does not stop there because now there is a dead body to contend with before the honeymoon begins. Of course the wedding can’t be complete without Jethro the pig making his appearance. Who is behind the murder and when will Bailey and Aiden get to start their honeymoon? I always enjoy Amanda Flowers book because she write light hearted, fun books. I was given a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley and the author. All words are my own.

Everyone in the village of Harvest, Ohio, seems to be excited for the upcoming wedding of chocolatier Bailey King and Sheriff Aiden Brody. What could possibly go wrong with a wedding that includes a seven-tier wedding cake and Jethro the pig as ring bearer? I'm sure long time readers can make a close guess and, most likely add, hey, what about a murder? If you're one of those, good guess. Yes, Jethro gets the first bite out of the cake but that ranks as relatively well-behaved for this not-at-all-spoiled pig, but before Bailey and Aiden can make their exit a guest drops dead. Needless to say, not only does the new groom suddenly have to don his role as sheriff but Bailey is quickly on the case as a good friend is initially the most obvious suspect. Add on Margot Rawling guilt tripping Bailey into being front-and-center for the upcoming summer wine tasting event since the honeymoon was obviously delayed, her family's needs, and, of course, pig sitting Jethro, and Bailey barely has time to get used to her new title of wife.

This is the 10th book in this series that I've so come to enjoy. The regulars are all well-fleshed out, though new readers may wonder about that brick in Lois' bag, and generally likable. True, I'm not too fond of the overbearing Margot or Ruth Yoder but even they have their good points, albeit I do wish Bailey would learn to stand up for herself a bit more where they're concerned. Even if you're unfamiliar with the Amish culture, this book does an excellent job explaining not just the beliefs but the thoughts behind them. True, Bailey may have wished not to have been stuck behind a couple slow moving horse and buggies at one point but she respects their role in the Amish way of life. She struggles to smooth the way for Margot's wine tasting event even when it isn't well received by the community but makes it work, for instance.

Speaking of the wine tasting event, the four wine representative involved have a lot of drama behind their interaction. That does nothing to make the already crunched for time Bailey's job easier as she finds herself investigating rather than honeymooning. I don't want to share any more of the plot except to say everything somehow seems to be intertwined. As usual, it's fun to try to sift through the clues as Bailey finds them while laughing at the antics of Jethro. Unfortunately, Bailey isn't quite as amused by them as usual due to her worries about her grandmother's health and her friend being a suspect. The plot moves along quickly and works well as a standalone although this is such a fun series I recommend you check it out in full as some point as it'll give you some insight into inter-relationships and how the past has shaped the regulars that, while explained to satisfaction, doesn't go into the depth long time readers will have. Thanks #KensingtonPress for this early peek at characters I feel like I've come to know as friends while enjoying the quirkiness and warmth of the village of Harvest. Have some chocolate hand as you read, everyone, and be sure to check out the recipes at the end. I bet Jethro isn't the only one with a weakness for truffles. Grin.

Bailey King moved to Harvest, Ohio to help her grandmother in her Amish sweets shop following her grandfather's death. Having been a chocolatier in New York City, she's since then built the shop up, managed to gain a television show, and opened a factory to product more hand-made candies to sell around the world.

She's also fallen in love with Aiden Brody, the new sheriff of Holmes County. They've finally come to their wedding day, and she's been convinced (once again) by Margo that adding a wine tasting would be good for the town. As long as it's separate from the celebration, due to her respect for the Amish, Bailey is fine with it

Unfortunately, there's some drama when Bailey discovers that one of the vineyard owners is an ex-boyfriend of the Darcy Woodin, who is catering the big event. Things go from bad to worse when he is found dead in Bailey's kitchen, apparently poisoned by a tart Darcy made. Now the woman is about to be arrested for murder.

Newly married and wanting to start her life with Aiden, Bailey knows that she needs to do a little sleuthing if she is ever going to get a honeymoon and some peace and quiet. But when she starts digging, there are secrets from the past that come to the surface, and she's not going anywhere until she sorts them out...

This is the tenth book in the series and I have read them all. The characters seem to come to life for me every time I visit Harvest. I've grown fond of Bailey, her grandmother, and many of the others. This book is no different. While pulled into the story, you want to see Bailey finally hitched and happy. She gets hitched, but the happy part will have to come later.

Bailey wants to know who wanted the young man dead. Did Darcy really have reason to kill him? Bailey doesn't think so, even if the evidence is pointing in that direction. When things start heating up, Bailey begins to see through the lies. However, her grandmother has a health issue that Bailey can't and won't ignore. Watching her put the pieces together while taking care of her ailing grandmother as best she can -- the reasons will become clear in the book -- Bailey is at her wits' end and hoping to figure it all out sooner rather than later. Even Jethro's antics can't distract her this time, and that's saying something.

When the ending comes, it's all rather sad, but there is no excuse for murder no matter the reason. I loved the book, the descriptions of everything around, and the heartfelt warmness of Bailey and her family. I can't wait to visit them again. Highly recommended.

I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher and NettGalley but this in no way influenced my review.

I've followed Bailey King from book one, and every visit back to Harvest feels like coming home, with a side of fudge samples and small-town gossip. Ten books in and this series doesn't lose its charm one bit. Truffle Trouble picks up right as Bailey and Aiden tie the knot, and of course, Amanda Flower can't resist spiking the champagne with a little murder. Flower's signature warmth is that she doesn't just build mysteries, she builds communities. The familiar Amish setting adds sincerity and charm, while the cozy vibe humor keeps things breezy even while bodies start dropping.

What really had me hollering though, is Bailey's schedule. This woman investigated a murder, questioned half the town, figured out the killer (which, yes, I guessed too, but the journey was still delicious), pig-sat Jethro for what felt like the entire runtime, and somehow produced approximately two thousand candies overnight, while also being a newlywed and pet parent to a rabbit and a cat! I have one job, and a book review blog, and I don't even cook because it overwhelms me. Bailey, babe, what are you on, and can I have some? The sheer audacity of her productivity is both aspirational and deeply insulting to the rest of us.

Rebecca Mitchel's narration deserves its own standing ovation. She moves through English, Pennsylvania Dutch, and Jean Pierre's flamboyant Canadian French seamlessly, while also keeping Bailey's vulnerability and strength unique in her voice. Mami's heart attack loomed in the background, while Jean Pierre's budding romance with Lois added a required layer of warmth in the story. Flower manages to blend humor, tenderness, and suspense into a story that hits all the cozy mystery checkboxes.

Would I recommend it?
If you've been sleeping on the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series, Truffle Trouble is your sign to start from book one and sprint your way here. It's cozy mystery comfort food — sweet, satisfying, and full of characters you'd genuinely invite to your own wedding. Amanda Flower packs so much heart into this small Ohio town that it barely fits inside nine hours of audio. Bailey may lack a spine when it comes to Margo, but this book? It has plenty. A perfect listen for anyone craving a cozy mystery with community spirit, humor, and heaps of heart.

by Amanda Flower
Genre: Cozy Mystery

Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Cozies for a free e-copy of the book. All opinions are my own.

Truffle Trouble, the 10th book in Amanda Flower’s Amish Candy Shop Mystery series sees the long-awaited wedding between candy shop owner Bailey King and Sheriff Aiden Brody. A wedding is a great way to bring both old and new characters together. All the regular characters are present—Margot Rawlings, Charlotte Little, Ruth Yoder, Lois Henry and her over-sized purse, whose granddaughter Darcy Woodin is catering the wedding. And of course, Jethro the pig.

One new character is Bailey’s old boss and mentor from New York City, Jean Pierre. A New Yorker, the small town of Harvest is totally foreign territory to him, but he manages to take a shine to the village, and especially Lois Henry. Other new characters are the four vineyard owners participating in Margo’s Summer Soiree, but I think Jean Pierre steals the newcomer spotlight.

Since it’s Bailey’s wedding, there’s no way it’s going to go off without a hitch. The hitch turns out to be a murder, and Darcy, Bailey’s caterer, is the primary suspect. Since Aiden is the sheriff, he can’t leave with an active murder investigation. Since Bailey is Bailey, she can’t help but get involved in the investigation to clear Darcy’s name.

This series is one of my favorites. As is usual in Flower’s books, the murder isn’t easy to solve. The red herrings and misdirections do their job. Flower also writes humor into her books (how could there not be humor with Jethro the spotted pig?). Harvest is a thriving village with an engaging cast of characters, in spite of the high murder rate for a small village. (Making Margot’s job of bringing in more tourists that much more difficult.) Truffle Trouble is a well-plotted, fast-paced mystery. But what keeps me coming back book after book are the complex characters and the ever-changing relationships.

Truffle Trouble by Amanda Flower is the latest entry into her Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. By now, regular readers have become familiar with the regular cast if characters including Jethro, a pet pig. Was he Bailey’s? No, but one would never know it. Bailey is our star and she is to be married tomorrow to Aiden, who she had been seeing for years and was the son of Jethro’s owner. Many thought the day would never come, but here it was. The Swissman Sweets enterprise had greatly expanded in the past few years with the advent of Bailey’s show on the cooking network, and the opening of a candy factory to fulfill both retail and wholesale orders. The candy store remained open on the square. The wedding was to be held at the factory and it came off without a hitch. The hitch came the next morning when Bailey arrived to find Darcy (caterer and friend) standing over the dead body of a man Bailey recognized from the day before. The relationships and characters are far too numerous to outline in a short review.

The next thing to go wrong was later when she went to the shop and found her grandmother, on the floor behind the counter. In a panic, she called Aiden who alerted and ambulance and arrived almost immediately. They were to leave on their honeymoon the next day, but that obviously wan’t going to happen. Darcy was arrested for murder, but Bailey knew she was innocent and planned to prove it. People knew her reputation and spoke or didn’t speak to her on that basis. She is a good investigator and in the end she discovered the culprit. Thankfully it wan’t who she thought it was going to be. Terrific characters with such a fun setting. The mystery was a good one that was uncovered slowly as the reader participated.

I was invited to read Truffle Trouble by Kensington Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #KensingtonPublishing #AmandaFlower #TruffleTrouble

The Amish Candy Shop Mystery series by Amanda Flower is a great series to get lost in, there is so much to love, and with Truffle Trouble being the tenth book in the series, I think you are guaranteed a good read !!

In Truffle Trouble Bailey and Aiden are finally getting married and everyone is invited !! Harvest Square is going to be the place to be, for all of Harvest, Ohio. Not only are friends and family invited but the English and Amish communities are invited as well. And with Bailey as popular as she is and Aiden being the County Sheriff, it is going to be the event of the year.

Unfortunately, that is not true when Bailey goes into the kitchen and finds the caterer, and her friend, Darcy, standing over a dead body ..... on Bailey's wedding day !!

Obviously, the newlyweds postpone their honeymoon so that Aiden can work the case. Luckily, they didn't go on their trip because Bailey finds her grandmother collapsed on the floor of the candy shop the next day.

There is so much going on that I cannot imagine Bailey being able to think straighten, especially when she is roped into helping with the Summer Soiree which is scheduled for later in the week when she should be on her honeymoon. She does it only because it gives her a chance to talk to the people involved seeing as the murdered victim was one of winery owners as well as a participant on the event.

Every time Bailey thinks that she has narrowed the suspect list down she finds out something else about someone and that adds to the list. However, she is determined to find out who killed Jason and clear her friend's name.

Readers cannot help but love this series. With the characters, the town, the Amish and English communities working together and the animals, Jetro especially, will pull you in !! Once you start reading, you will not want to stop ... my advice to you is make sure you have chocolate on hand.

Truffle Trouble by Amanda Flower is a cute tale. I love visiting Harvest, Ohio to check in with Bailey as well as her family and friends. Bailey and Aiden are finally (it is about time) getting married. Everyone in Harvest is invited (English and Amish) including Jethro. Of course, it would not be Bailey’s wedding without a snafu or a murder (or both). I just love the characters in this series. Lois is a hoot (I want to be like her at that age), and she seems to have caught the eye of a wedding guest. The whodunit has Bailey asking questions and searching for clues. Aiden should really put her on the payroll. Bailey finds herself with extra activities to do since she cannot seem to say no (she is too nice). Jethro, the polka dotted pig, spends quite a bit of time in Bailey’s company. He shares Nutmeg’s bed at Swissmen Sweet’s (Bailey needs to invest in a larger pet bed). I laughed often while reading Truffle Trouble. It is a lighthearted, fun story. Truffle Trouble is the tenth An Amish Candy Shop Mystery, and it can be read as a standalone. Personally, I recommend reading this entertaining series from the beginning. Truffle Trouble is an amusing story with a long-awaited wedding, a precocious polka dotted pig, an incredible chocolate cake, a flirtatious Lois, a murdered man, a determined Margot, and, hopefully, the happy couple departing on their honeymoon.

Bailey King and Aiden Brody are finally tying the knot. Anyone wanting cozy mystery with slow burn romance will definitely like this one as it takes 10 books to reach this point.
A few days after the wedding a summer soirée is scheduled with wine tastings. One of the vineyard owners dies at the reception after the wedding.
The mystery ties together the English and Amish communities in Harvest and reveals a sad backstory.
There were some good suspects.
Bailey’s grandmother has some health concerns.
Bailey and Aiden must postpone their honeymoon for the investigation and for other reasons.
I enjoyed reading the book. I like the epilogue when Bailey and Aiden finally head out for their honeymoon. However, the wrap up of the mystery was sad to me.
Jethro the pig shows up everywhere. I like Jethro all right, but I don’t think Bailey should need to be responsible for him so much.
There are two areas where Bailey needs to take a stand - Margot and Jethro. Bailey is a bit of a doormat when it comes to both.
I’m not sure if this is the last Amish Candy Shop mystery but it does sound like a new spin off is coming that features Darcy, of cafe fame and who has a large role in this mystery.
Thanks to Netgalley and Kensington for the opportunity to read a pre-publication copy of the book.

As that old song goes, At last...Baily King and Aiden Brody are getting married. What could possibly go wrong? Well, Jethro the pot-bellied pig could manage a bite out of the 7-tiered wedding cake Jean Pierre made, a dead body could be found during the reception, Maami might have some health issues, the honeymoon could be delayed, so nothing unusual for Harvest, Ohio. Oh yeah, Margot has planned another event, a Summer Soiree with wine tasting, so of course Ruth Yoder is up in arms and now that Baily will not be leaving town for her honeymoon, of course Margot adds to her things to do. Lots going on in this one as Baily juggles all the events and need to clear her friend Darcy's name.
I always love a return to Harvest, but have to say this time around I really wanted to wring Margot's neck and send Juliette somewhere with only Jethro, no one to fob him off on all the time. I definitely identified the killer early on, but was surprised by the perpetrator of another incident. Lots of misdirection, but I stayed the course with my suspect this time.
It's a fun read and has a tasty sounding truffle recipe at the end!
Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington for the chance to read an early copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

It is always a pleasure to visit Amish country with Baily King in Harvest, Ohio, especially since Baily and Aiden are getting married in this installment to the series: Truffle Trouble, An Amish Candy Shop Mystery. The perfect blend of mystery and mayhem for a heartwarming, cozy small-town setting with characters that are endearing. The wedding is the event I was excited to read about as Baily and Aiden have overcome obstacles to walking down the aisle. The mystery portion was outstanding--as usual. This series is one of my very favorites.

Though Baily's big day is down to the final details, Margo once again cons her into supporting a wine tasting festival set for the day after her wedding. My favorite pig, Jethro, is present and bursting with his silly antics, adding to the fun. When a body is discovered in the kitchen and Baily's friend is a suspect, the honeymoon is put on hold while she investigates.

The fast-paced plot is driven by the investigation and assorted quirky characters making for a delightful read. The perfect antidote for the wintertime blues. Coming March 31st.

It is always a pleasure to spend time with Bailey and the gang in Harvest, Ohio. In Truffle Trouble, Bailey and Aiden are finally getting married! While the wedding goes off without a hitch, the reception is marred by finding a dead vintner in the kitchen. Not to mention a mischievous pig named Jethro who wants first dibs on the gorgeous wedding cake.

Unfortunately, the honeymoon is on hold until the murderer is found. When Detective Aiden’s lead suspect is the granddaughter of Bailey’s best friend, Bailey must find the real killer before a terrible miscarriage of justice is done. The victim had plenty of haters making for a wide suspect pool. Is Bailey up for the challenge all while juggling new married life and running a wine tasting on the village square?

Luckily, I read this series for the characters and the setting. The murderer’s motive is not really revealed until just before Bailey’s unmasking of the killer. So this is not a good choice for readers looking to play armchair detectives. However, the charm of the characters, and the antics of both Jethro and the always pushy village publicist, Margot, make Truffle Trouble an enjoyable read. 4 stars!

Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Cozies for providing me with an advanced review copy.

Truffle Trouble is the 10th book in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. Bailey and Aiden are finally going to get married but alas there is a murder!
The cater of the wedding, and a good friend of Bailey, is the prime suspect. This makes Baily even more determined to solve the mystery. Because of the murder, the honeymoon has been postponed and this "allows" Baily to help with the summer soiree. She is able to interview potential suspects while in this role. There is alot of drama amongst the wineries and anyone could have been the murdered.

The book was good and I did enjoy the mystery in this book. I liked how Jean Pierre played a larger role, bringing in a new character which was nice. I felt like the marriage between Aiden and Bailey was slightly brushed over even thought their engagement and relationship was very drawn out. I don't know why Bailey always says yes to Margot and Juliet. She needs to put her food down and say no!

I do not think this book can be read as a stand alone book, the reader would miss too much back story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Cozies for the ARC. All opinions of the book are my own.

Truffle Trouble is part of An Amish Candy Shop Mysteries series. It’s Bailey and Aiden’s wedding day and everything is going as planned, until a dead body turns up during their reception. With a postponed honeymoon, Bailey has nothing better to do than look into the murder, well, except run the event on the square and keep the Candyworks in track and help at her grandma’s candy shop. Even with all of this on her plate, Bailey isn’t one to sit back and not look into the mystery in front of her. Will she be able to find the killer before the killer comes after her for looking into the case?

This is one of my absolute favorite mystery series and I always love revisiting Bailey and Jethro. I love this series, town and cast of characters and can’t get enough of it. This mystery pulled me in from the beginning and I was engrossed in the mystery and humorous events until the end. I’m glad Bailey and Aiden finally got their wedding even if it didn’t go as planned. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series and was so happy with this book!

Truffle Trouble is book 10 of Amanda Flowers An Amish Candy Shop Mystery and one we have all been waiting.for! Bailey King co-owner Swissmen Sweets and Candy Factory with her Amish Grandmother. She is marrying Detective Aiden Brody which happens early in the story. Their day is beautiful until a local winery owner ends up dead near the end of the reception. Bailey's Grandmother has a heart attack and ends up in the hospital. The town has a Summer festival going on which Bailey is talked into helping with. Their honeymoon is postponed while Aiden and Bailey investigate the murder, visit her Grandmother and work on the festival. Jethro the pig takes center stage as usual. I enjoy this series, especially the characters. I received a advance copy for free from NetGalley and Kensington Cozies and I voluntarily leave this review.

I always enjoy a good Jethro the pig escapade and this time he had several moments of fame. Needless to say, he was the star of the wedding reception, but I don’t think Bailey minded at all. It wouldn't've been weirder if he didn’t get into something, the li’l cutie!

When someone was killed during the reception and all eyes were on the local café owner, Bailey knew she needed to find the real killer to save her friend’s good name. I always get a big kick outta Lois and how she and Millie are good friends. She was a hoot especially when Bailey’s mentor Jean Pierre was in town and they seemed to be growing closer. More wedding bells? It’ll be interesting to see!

Good old JP was cracking me up with his investigation and being Bailey’s sidekick. I hadn’t guessed the killer and I enjoyed the showdown where once more Jethro had a hand, er hoof in it. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by Kensington Cozies via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

Bailey and Aiden are finally getting married! The whole village has come together to celebrate. But when one of the wedding attendee is found dead, the caterer becomes the prime suspect. Why Bailey doesn’t believe Darcy killed the man, the evidence is stacking up against her. Can Bailey and Aiden uncover a killer. or will the memory of their wedding day always include having one of their friends arrested for murder?

What’s not to love about the series? From the chocolate, to Jethro, the pig, to each and every cozy mystery that the author pens, it is an awesome series! I read this series as well as all of her other series as well. Her writing is authentic and engaging and captures you from the first page. Come for the cozy mystery but make sure you check out the recipes at the end of the book as well. You won’t be disappointed with either the mystery or the recipes.

It is what we have all been waiting for, Bailey and Aiden's wedding! In Harvest, nothing seems to go as planned, but thankfully the nuptials were beautiful; too bad someone had to turn up dead before Aiden and Bailey could leave for their honeymoon. For Bailey, this is something she has had to deal with before, but this time she it is a friend who is suspected and there is a cloud hanging over the town. Aiden is working hard to solve the crime, but is hampered by the restrictions of being the sheriff. Baily does not have any restrictions, and takes it upon herself to work to protect her friend. With a scary twist that had my heart in my throat for a bit, this story was an excellent mystery, with rich lovable characters and a quaint setting. I cannot wait for the next one in the series! Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington for the advanced copy.

Super adorable book! Then again you can't go wrong with an emotional support pig and the constant threat of danger. I laughed throughout, rolled my eyes at the ever persistent Margot, cringed at everything the wine representatives admitted to, and I'll admit I ate some truffles every time they were mentioned in the book. I love how relatable Bailey was especially when she admitted to being annoyed about being behind the Amish buggy. Amish life fascinates me so I enjoyed how the author brought the Amish and English worlds together.

I have never read any of the Amish Candy Shop Mysteries but I didn't need to in order to follow along with this story. I will likely go ahead and read them from the beginning now. I loved reading this cute story and have shared it with my pre-teens now.

*I did receive a free, uncorrected ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Wine, Mystery, Mayhem , and Murder! That’s what we find in Truffle Trouble by Amanda Flower releasing, March 31, 2026.

Bailey King and Sheriff Aiden Brody Are finally getting married and what a wedding day it turns out to be.

Ms. Flower takes us back to the village of Harvest, Ohio, made up of a mixed community of Amish and English. And of course, there is a body found in the candy factory. Darcy, Bailey’s friend, is accused of poisoning her ex with a mushroom. Bailey having to spin her honeymoon time helping solve the murder.

The characters are realistic and very memorable. Jethro, the emotional support pig is quite adorable. The plot is well written and moves along quickly.

I highly recommend this wonderful book.

I was given an advanced copy by the publisher, Kensington but was not ask to give a positive review.
