Fate had a funny way of setting you up for success… or failure, depending on how you looked at it.

A collection of books detailing the malicious acts of the Carvelli family mafia was anonymously donated to my library, and what started as an innocent fixation turned into a very real threat.

I was dropped into a new world teeming with deceit, manipulation, and violence. And to make matters worse, a bounty had been placed on my head.

Everything I’d known had changed in a matter of hours. And the only person to blame was him.

Solomon Carvelli.

The object of all my newfound fears and deepest desires.

He was the reason my very existence had been unceremoniously uprooted. His presence caused a cosmic shift, not only altering my perspective on life, but also myself.

And while it was terrifying… it felt right. Like I was always meant to exist in this version of reality.

To me, he was a king. An unyielding force. A man drowning in power and influence.

To him, I was everything. The solution to any problem, the answer to every question.

The queen meant to be ruling by his side.

If you're a fan of dark romance with a gripping plot and unexpected twists, Imminent Danger is a must-read. Set in a high-stakes mafia world, the story pulls you in from the very first page and doesn’t let go. I finished this book in one weekend and as soon as I did, I wanted to start it all over again.

What stood out most to me was how well-balanced the romance and the plot were. Even in between the steamy scenes, I was completely invested in the storyline, always trying to figure out what would happen next. The emotional depth, vivid descriptions, and slow-burn build-up made every moment hit just right.

Solomon is the ultimate guard-dog/golden-retriever boyfriend and I mean that as the highest compliment. He’s intense, loyal, and totally unforgettable. This book made me feel every emotion, and I already can't wait to dive into the rest of the series.

I did skip one part of a chapter because of certain triggers. So ask another reader if you have any triggers before you read and they’ll steer you in the right direction. I really enjoyed reading it and skipping that section didn’t take away from the book for me.

If you love a romance with real substance and edge, Imminent Danger is the book for you. Please release the next book asap!

Holy shit the way I’m screaming at that ending!!!! I’m unwell!

I’m lucky enough to have received this book as an ARC (my first ARC, *squee*) and absolutely loved it! Ingrid and Solomon’s story was so sweet while still tinged with darkness. Solomon is the perfect German shepherd with a heart of gold BF and Ingrid is that perfect blend of sweet and strong with a penchant for vengeance.

The smut was hot but also an excellent vehicle for Ingrid to process her trauma and take agency over her sexuality and her wants and needs.

The plot was plotting and once we got into the thick of it I was glued to my screen just dying to know how it would all come together.

One of my favorite parts was Ingrid’s relationship with Cecilia and Yasmin. Found family is one of my fave tropes and I love those too so much. Cecilia is an absolutely precious angel baby who could 100% kill a man to which i say: 👏 good 👏 for 👏 her 👏. Also I’ve got my fingers crossed that Yasmin ends up with a sister (Isabel? 👀) because I would love for her to have her own book.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book and am very much looking forward to the [redacted’s] book in the sequel.

This book broke my brain in the absolute best way. I finished it and immediately started connecting red strings like Ingrid checking a school directory. Who is Arrow? How does Solomon know him? Why can’t I forget about Xavier? And does my baby-boy-heir theory hold weight or am I delusional? I need answers, I need more books, and honestly I need someone to check on me because the way this story hooked me…I’m gone. Completely gone. Five stars and a need for a cotton candy cosmo STAT!

I had so much fun editing this book! I think this is a great choice for lovers of dark/mafia romance, and people who are looking to dip their toes into the subgenre! You will fall in love with Ingrid (and Solomon, my GOD he is hot) and you will be STOKED for the rest of the series.

Definitely check this one out. It is SO WORTH IT. 💖

⭐️4. this book was a great quick read! i loved the relationship between the mc and especially the relationship between ingrid and solomon's daughter! the spice was IMMACULATE and i loveddd it so much. i do think prefer the vibe of the second half of this book to the first half, just because that is where it really gets into that dark romance feel. but i did enjoy it and would recommend!

Wow, that was an interesting ride! To be honest, I wasn’t expecting what happened to the FMC within just three chapters. As far as mafia romances go, it was fine. The pacing was really slow, and I found myself losing interest a lot of the time, but once the story finally got moving, it was fun.
