I came here to capture the mountains. To finally prove I could do something real with my camera. I didn’t plan on the storm. Or the strong, protective mountain man who looks at me like I already belong to him.
She hired me to fly her to a remote mountain peak. She didn’t expect to get stranded with a man who only plays for keeps. Ayla’s all wide eyes and bold curiosity, chasing the perfect shot with that camera of hers. But when a sudden storm grounds us, we’re stuck in a tent—alone. She’s cold. Nervous. Completely untouched. And when she whispers that she doesn’t want to die a virgin? Game over. She thinks this is just one night. But I’ve already decided—she’s mine. And I’m not letting her go.
Lena Rae is the secret spicy pen name of a USA Today Bestselling romance author.
She delivers sizzling hot, Instalove romances with strong alpha heroes who know what they want and don't waste any time going after it.
Writing from her mountain home Lena draws inspiration from her rugged surroundings to create stories with the perfect mix of heat, heart and happy ever afters.
Ayla isn’t looking for love—she’s looking for proof. Proof that her photography is worth chasing, even when her parents want her to settle down and play it safe. Rock Creek offers her a fresh start, a chance to capture beauty on her own terms. What she doesn’t expect is to meet Xander, a rugged helicopter pilot whose first impression is anything but charming. Their banter sparks, their stubbornness clashes, and both walk away convinced they’ll never see each other again.
Fate, of course, has other plans. When Xander shows up as the pilot she’s hired to take her to a remote peak, the air between them is as charged as the storm rolling in. What begins as Ayla chasing the perfect shot turns into something much deeper. Stranded together overnight, tucked into the tight confines of a tent while the storm rages outside, walls come down. Their laughter softens the tension, their honesty deepens the bond, and their attraction—impossible to ignore—crackles like fire in the cold.
Xander is more than a rescuer by trade—he’s a man tired of drifting without a safe place to land. And Ayla? She just might be the one person who sees past the gruff exterior to the man who longs for more. But when they return to town and Xander’s fears push him back into old habits, Ayla has to decide whether to walk away—or wait for him to realize that sometimes the greatest rescue isn’t from the wilderness, but from loneliness.
My Mountain Man’s Rescue is equal parts tender and thrilling. It’s about taking risks, chasing dreams, and finding love in the most unexpected places. If you’ve ever believed that storms can reveal more than they destroy, this is a romance that will steal your heart.

Ayla is a photographer who goes to Rock Creek, near the mountains, to take some pictures other than what she’s been taking on the farm. New scenery. And she splurged for a helicopter ride over the mountains so she could take beautiful pictures of the beautiful mountains and surrounding elegance.
Xander is the helicopter pilot who moved back to Rock Creek to settle down. He’s going to be giving helicopter tours over the mountains. His very first “tour” was Ayla…he remembered her from the roadside. He was hoping it wouldn’t be her because it was going to be hard for him to not show his attraction to her. He drops down and lands on a flat ridge so Ayla can get a different perspective.
A powerful storm hits and he realizes he only has one tiny little tent…but they’re going to have to make it work. Oh boy. He really wants her. She makes him feel things.
Their time together was special and when they had to “come back down to earth,” he pulled away a little, just to get things taken care of with the helicopter, but she thinks he’s letting her go. He only gives her a couple of days and then he goes to her room to tell her he doesn’t want her to leave. That makes her happy, as she doesn’t want to leave either!
This was an insta-love story about two people who find each other and realize they’ve found their forever.
If you like mountain men and the strong women they love, you’re going to want to read this book! You’ll love it!.

Ayla came to Rock Creek for a change of pace. She wanted to prove her photography was worth something. She meets Xander when he comes upon her sitting on her truck in a bad area of the road taking pictures. They don’t get off on good footing and they both hope they don’t run into each other again. But unaware that she hired him to fly her to a remote mountain peak, they make the best of it. She is in her glory taking photos, something in him stirs and he wants to show her a special peak. Unfortunately, a sudden storm grounds them and they are stuck in a tent. The attraction is hard to ignore and while they spend the night talking and getting to know each other, they know they are meant to be together. When they return, Xander is cold and Ayla walks away. Will Xander realize what he is passing up and try to win her over or do they go their separate way. The chemistry between the two were hot and steamy. Highly recommend. She has saved up everything she could for this trip. Her dream is to become a landscape photographer and she hires him to fly her to the places on the mountain she can't get to. A freak storm grounds them and forces them to spend 3 days together in a very small tent. He felt the attraction from the very beginning but he knew she was a tourist and he is looking for forever not a vacation quickie so he vows to keep his distance. When they are alone in the storm and she tells him she doesn't want to die a virgin, all bets are off. He wants to make her is, and convince her to take a chance on forever with him. They have chemistry and this is a fun quick read. You get two very different characters who figure out how to make it work and have a happily ever after. Short story format so you don't expect detailed character development or complex plot lines, these are fun, flirty stories with a happy ending and a little steamy spice.

My Mountain Man's Rescue by Lena Rae is Book 10 in her Rock Creek Series. Helicopter Pilot Xander and Photographer Ayala have their (unknown to them at the time) initial meet-cute on the side of the mountain road. Ayla traveled to Rock Creek to prove to herself that she can be a photographer. She pulls over to take photos of her natural environment. Xander pulls up to warn her to keep on driving, as its dangerous to stay on the side of a mountain road. They are both annoyed with each other... but also attracted to each other. 😏 The next day, Ayla finds out Xander is her helicopter tour guide she booked. Weather changes suddenly for them and they are stranded on a mountain top. Lena takes the one-bed scenario to the next level with Xander & Ayla! It's a one sleeping bag in one tent on top of a mountan for 3 days scenario...!! 🥵🔥💋 Very much sëxƴ times... It is fun 'quick read with a HEA and two future epilogues.
Ayla has saved for her dream trip to the mountains plus an expensive helicopter ride for capturing photos that she dreamed about taking. She had grown up in a flat Canadian farm area, but dreamed bigger than a future with a farm boy. She had pulled over alongside the mountain road to capture views. A man, Xander, startles her by asking her if she wants to get herself killed. Not a safe to stop! What's he call her? She's burned into his mind. Why has Xander, helicopter pilot, returned to his home area? He has a package flight the next day for a photo tour, he doesn't have a name. Image his shock when she shows up! Who does Ayla dream of before her photo tour? Both of them are shocked! Follow their flight and some of the unexpected happenings that could change both their futures! Life holds some big surprises.

My Mountain Man's Rescue is Book 10 of the Rock Creek series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, forced-proximity, curvy virgin gets her mountain man romance. Ayla is a young, sassy, and curvy photographer. Xander is a hunky, grumpy mountain man and helicopter pilot who recently returned home to join the family business. Ayla is from the country but has paid for her dream trip to the mountains to try and get some really great nature photographs. Her and Xander meet on the side of the road while she is taking some pictures. He tells her to leave and things get bit heated, even though both are attracted to each other. They cross paths the next day when he is the pilot set to take her up to get more photos. When the weather turns bad though, they end up stranded and things get hot and steamy. What happens when they return? The chemistry between these two was pure fire and we got a great HEA after a bit of angst. I can't wait for the new series!
My Mountain Man’s Rescue is smoking hot!!! Ayla and Xander, my oh my. I love Ayla’s brave and bold determination to experience the world and push beyond her sheltered upbringing. She is fire and talent and beautiful brilliance, living life on her terms and trusting her intuition that there is more for her than a farmer’s wife role. Xander is candid and gruff, ready to settle for the right girl in the only place that’s ever felt like home. His drive to do right by her and protect her is balanced with his endless craving for her sass and strength. When they finally give in to their spark it is steamy and slick and seductively delicious. These two are outstanding together and their sweet story is such a fun read.

Ayla is traveling, when she stopped for gas, she was told to not stop on the side of the highway. It was the last stretch of highway before Rock Creek, her final destination. This was not an easily navigated area with all of the twists and blind corners everywhere. She just couldn’t help herself looking out her windows gawking, concerned she might be a part of the scenery if she kept looking out all her windows. My Mountain Man’s Rescue is part of the Rock Creek series, book 10. A great read, quick and spicy, absolutely five stars. Between the storyline and the characters, you’ll enjoy this read. Grab the story and the rest of the series and enjoy.

⭐️ARC REVIEW⭐️ This series continues to find new ways for these burly men to find their soulmates and I love it every time. A photographer looking for new adventure and possibilities in her life after her parents want her to settle down, takes a ride with helicopter pilot that is tired of not having a soft place to land and who she may have not had the best first impression with. But from the start sparks fly and after a storm strands them on a mountain ridge, temptation can’t be avoided. Xander is a seasoned rescuer who is going to save Ayla in more ways than one!
One more amazing short read in Rock Creek and we are back to Wolf family again. Ayla did put everything on this trip to get out on this adventure to have perfect photos to change her life. When she meets Xander, they start not with the best note. Is this kind of cosmic joke when he turns out her hired pilot for photo shooting. Funny, steamy and very entertaining short read. I love the Author's writing style and this series in particular. Enjoyed it so much.

Xander and Ayla’s story is a super fast moving insta everything journey to their HEA. Stranded on a mountain top due to bad weather leads Ayla confessing to something and asking Xander to fix it. He does! Lots of heat between these two loveable characters. A quick read , in fact quick everything. I enjoyed it immensely.

Being a photographer is all that Ayla has wanted for her career. One trip meant to prove she has what it takes becomes something special after meeting Xander. Definitely not love at first sight, but they get there.
Ayla is for her photography in Rock Creek, there she meets Xander and they don’t meet on the right foot. But they get a second chance, when she hires him to fly her to a special mountain peak. With a sudden storm, the sparks begin to fly and the attraction is hard to ignore.
A steamy, fun and wonderful story!

I absolutely loved this!!!! I think my two favorite things about it were Ayla’s zest for life and adventure and her absolute refusal to settle for anything less, and Xander’s rough, possessive/protective need for her, he tried so hard to be noble and let her go…but then came to his senses😍😍😍
This story was super sweet and super duper hot!!!.

My Mountain Man's Resuce is the 10th book in the Rock Creek series, but stands completely on its own. It's a quick read with a wonderful flirty tone, featuring dramatic mountain scenery and a storm - but literally and figuratively. Ayla and Xander are great characters and I loved their spicy insta-love story! I received an early and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
I love a forced proximity romance, and being stranded atop a mountain, well that ticked all the boxes! These two had sparks from their first meet, and their second, and then they were stuck together. Those sparks translated into a lot of heat, and, luckily for them, his cousins make sure he doesn’t mess things up so they can get their HEA <3
Ayla’s first reaction to the Mountain View’s is that she is exactly where she needed to be. Xander finds this woman parked in the way and he knows right away this sassy girl is trouble. Between the banter and the chemistry you know these two are meant for each other. This book is a fantastic short read.

I have absolutely loved the whole series but I think this is my favorite. I enjoy how the characters feel so real and the story just flows so well. I would love to have seen the photos she took from the peak. I bet they would be breath taking.

He’s back home to settle down and into a new charter, while she is spreading her wings for the first time. Loved her sassy attitude of fake it till you make it and his gruff demeanor. These two fall fast and hard, yet they each give wha t the other needs.

I loved this! Xander, a helicopter pilot returning home from his travels, and Ayla, a photographer desperate to move on from farm and wheat fields to mountains. One storm brings together two people who wanted one another from the moment they met. Cute and fun, and a quick read!
A love story delivered showing how love comes unexpectedly when one has started looking, but the other hasn't. You can't help but fall in love with the FMC and the MMC.
