Tag along for a swoony second-chance cowboy romance with heart, laughs, and enough heat to set your e-reader on fire!
This small-town, second-chance romance is an absolute delight. The story of Reggie, a resilient single mom reclaiming her life, and Blayne, the brooding cowboy who's loved her from afar, is pure magic. Their chemistry is off-the-charts, and the transition from a "casual arrangement" to a deeply emotional connection is both swoon-worthy and heartfelt. What sets this book apart is how beautifully it portrays Blayne not just falling for Reggie, but wholeheartedly embracing her children and the beautiful chaos of her life. It's a story that masterfully blends sizzling tension with genuine emotion, proving that the love you've been waiting for is sometimes the one that was there all along. A perfect, heartwarming read for romance lovers.
This is the first book I've read in the Silver Creek Ranch series. I'm glad I finally decided to read it. Second chance romance is one my favorite tropes. I like seeing a woman (single mom in this case) find what she was missing or finding something better. The relationship Imani Jay developed between Reggie and Blayne was being nice. I don't usually like when there are long periods of time between when they develop feelings and when they actually act on them. I'd read it again and probably will since I'm going to back and start with book one (even though I don't have to).

The Pour: A Decade-Aged Blend of Longing and Loyalty
Pour a glass of aged bourbon—something smooth, warm, and deeply comforting—because Owned By The Cowboy delivers a powerful and emotional second-chance romance that feels like coming home.
This novel tells the beautiful story of Regina "Reggie" Mason, a recently divorced single mom of three returning to her small hometown to rebuild her life, and Blayne Madison, the rugged, ex-military cowboy and contractor who has been quietly pining for her for fifteen years. The book masterfully executes the transition from old crush to an intense friends-with-benefits arrangement that immediately explodes into a forever kind of love. The chemistry is off the charts, and the family dynamic adds a heart-melting layer that makes this book truly special.
What I Sip and Savored 🥃 (The Smooth Finish)
The notes of this blend that went down flawlessly:
🥃 The Patient Alpha: Blayne Madison is the definition of a protective, alpha male hero. His decade-plus of devotion makes his eventual pursuit of Reggie utterly swoon-worthy. He steps up in "true cowboy fashion," embracing Reggie's three children and all the "chaos" of her life without hesitation. This instant dad dynamic is the emotional core of the book.
🥃 High-Heat, High-Heart Balance: The book achieves a fantastic blend of sizzling chemistry and genuine, heartfelt emotion. What starts as a "casual arrangement" quickly dissolves because the feelings are too potent to deny. The spice enhances the deeply caring bond they develop.
🥃 Second-Chance Satisfaction: Seeing Reggie reclaim her life after leaving an unfaithful husband is incredibly empowering. The healing journey and the discovery that the best love was waiting patiently on the sidelines is deeply satisfying for any romance reader.
🥃 The Found Family Trope: The portrayal of Blayne connecting with Reggie's children (from the skeptical Nia to the staunch supporter Annalise) is beautifully written. He isn't just falling for Reggie; he's ready to claim the whole family, which is incredibly touching.
What I Side-Eyed 🥃 (The Fleeting Jolt)
🥃 The Timeline: As some reviews noted, there are minor inconsistencies with the kids' ages versus the marriage length. While this is easily ignored due to the strength of the characters, a quick tightening of the backstory would make the read even smoother.
🥃 The Ex-Husband Arc: While the ex-husband's reappearance provides necessary conflict, the quickness of this drama's resolution felt a bit too convenient, slightly undercutting the intense threat and protective nature Blayne exhibits.
The Finish
Owned By The Cowboy is a fantastic, swoon-worthy second-chance cowboy romance that delivers on its promises of heat, humor, and heart. It's a solid, thoroughly enjoyable read that will leave you feeling warm and satisfied. If you love a devoted alpha hero who fights for his woman and instantly loves her kids, this book is highly recommended for your TBR pile.
The Perfect Pairing
Pairing: A Spicy Bourbon Smash. Why? This cocktail is a mix of sweetness (Reggie's family life), mentholated mint (Blayne's former military discipline), and a spicy kick (the sizzling chemistry). It's robust, refreshing, and entirely satisfying, just like their forever love.
Tropes: BWWM, Second Chance, Single Mom, Cowboy, Alpha Male, Friends-with-Benefits, Instalove (for the family), Explicit.

4.5 ⭐s Has his dream of a family finally come true?
Reggie Mason, her sixteen-year-old son, Jaylen, fourteen-year-old daughter, Nia, and six-year-old daughter, Annalise, have finally arrived at her parents' farmhouse after their trip from San Francisco. Only this time it's not for a visit; it will be their new home.
Jaylen has especially been upset since the divorce. Sure, Richard had a corner office and provided a lavish home for them, along with extravagant worldwide vacations, but he wouldn't have been able to name any of the friends of the kids or know any of their interests. When he cheated on her, that was the final straw.
Blayne Madison has been in love with Reggie for fifteen years. But it's always been from afar because she was married. Before, he barely even said hello to her. Now that she's home and newly divorced, she's no longer off-limits. But he's still the guy who grew up in the system and really didn't learn to read well until he was in the Army.
Her father, Mel, took a chance on the veteran and gave him a job almost twenty years ago. Her mother, Sarah, made sure he came to their family Sunday dinner. This is the first time Reggie has ever looked at him like a woman looks at a man.
Blayne now owns a successful construction company hiring veterans like himself. His crew are more like brothers than employees. Mel had him get the empty two-bedroom house on the farm ready for their arrival. The former tenant had moved to a nursing home.
Blayne has been in love with her for years, but now he's also falling in love with her kids. Annalise is his staunchest supporter, Nia is somewhat skeptical, while Jaylen is a typical clueless teenage boy. All three kids are starved for attention from a father figure. As Blayne takes the time to get to know them, he's ready to claim them as his own. He's always wanted to be a member of a family.
It seems that both of her parents aren't above trying their hand at some matchmaking—even if it's not really necessary—Annalise is already on it…

For 15 years Blayne has been pining over Reggie. When they met he didn’t think he was good enough, she deserved better, she could/would never feel the way he did…then life happened. She got married, kids.
Reggie’s back home, newly divorced, a bit broken, kids a tow and trying to figure out her next chapter and Blayne is still there. Waiting…Then Annalise makes a request and he answers the call and just keeps showing up for them in big and small ways.
This was not quite a slow burn but I enjoyed the build up of the MCs taking the time to learning each other. While I love a good instalove story this wasn’t that, not entirely. The secondary characters (Reggie’s kids) helped build into the story of a great romance. The dialogue between the characters was easy going, lol fun and heart warming. Got to love Nia’s teen sarcastic, worldly wisdom. smutty🫣😉 rom com vibes. The way the story flowed, the relationship made sense, nothing over top, unnecessary fillers. An easy read.
I have read several of Ms. Jay’s stories, most of them really, and I can confidently state that this may be her best work to date. While her signature erotic flow is present, it wasn’t gratuitous and it added to the story line and did not detract from the plot and flow.
This what romance is. These characters are awesome with chemistry that will melt your world. It's exciting and heartwarming there is humor too! WOW this will bring a smile to your face because their relationship is so delightful. I really had a pleasurable experience its a story for everyone. I so enjoyed the secondary characters and in my mind I read this in a cowboy tone I really enjoy stories with kids. It's one that will pull you into the story from the beginning and keeps you interested to the end. Of course there is one thing I want and that is for this author to write more about these characters because I hate for a FANTASTIC story to end. But overall this is what I enjoy from this author's books. I want you to know I couldn't put my reader down because I loved their love affair . Believe me when I say they are captivating and you will want to read this again. Regina and Blayne love is explosive but it gives you that happy feeling deep down and it's a forever kind of love. I have really enjoyed this story because it's so loveable. If I could I would have given it ten stars. Happy Reading Enjoy I did !!!
I love an Imani Jay release. Only thing I love more is when she gives us a long book to read. This was such a great 2nd chance at love story. As with any of her books you hate for it to end. I really fell in love with these characters and happy they will get there happily ever after. Regina “Reggie” and Blayne go way back. Reggie’s family became his family. He always kept his distance when she and her family would visit. However, once she divorced and is back in her small hometown, he gets the courage to pursue her. Blayne is the real deal. Not only is he head over heels in love with her but her adores her children. Her children are just as loveable as the main characters. Jayden her oldest is a high schooler who needs a strong male role model, her daughter Nina is a middle schooler who is wise and introspective, and her youngest Annalise is just a ball of cute overload. It doesn’t take long for the kids to fall in love with Blayne. This book had drama, OTT Alpha male protector, heat, and a great ending. Highly recommend you check this one out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars This book was an absolute delight! The romance between the main couple is both heartfelt and passionate, with plenty of tender moments and stolen time that beautifully showcase their growing love and attraction. What truly sets this story apart is its emphasis on family—the children are not sidelined but woven seamlessly into the narrative, making the family dynamic feel authentic and deeply touching. The heroine’s love for her cowboy hero is rooted in his strength, reliability, and unwavering commitment to family and responsibility. He’s a man who embraces love rather than running from it, which makes him an incredibly compelling character. The inclusion of extended family, including grandparents, adds richness and warmth, creating a vivid portrait of a modern, blended family full of love and support. This is a sweet yet spicy romance that balances passion with heartfelt family connections. If you enjoy stories where love thrives alongside family bonds, this book is a must-read!
Who wouldn't want a Blayne in their life! Sweet, sexy, dedicated and serious. Reggie really never stood a chance. And I think because she could be a little feistier, they overall complemented each other well. I also liked the communication between them and other family members. It was open and honest.
Really, I just loved the whole wooing process he had going on with her and her kids. That was important. He did what mattered. It was sweet but also realistic.
Blayne really was already a part of Reggie's family with her parents, and once her own kids got on board, done deal.
It was the solid making of a family with one act of love and care at a time.

"Owned by the Cowboy" is the 11th book in the Silver Creek Ranch series. Blayne has always been in love with Reggie, but he never had the chance to tell her. When she got married, he silently watched her and her family from the shadows, taking care of things for her from afar. Now, Reggie is back home with her three amazing kids, starting her life over after a divorce. Blayne sees this as his opportunity for a second chance with Reggie. He wants to give not just Reggie, but also her children, the life they truly deserve by being present and there for them when they need someone. This story is a sweet, heartfelt, and emotional portrayal of a second chance at a happily ever after (HEA).
OWNED BY THE COWBOY is a steamy, opposites-attract, BWWM, he falls first, close-proximity, curvy single mom gets her cowboy second chance romance. Regina "Reggie" has come home to her family's ranch with her three kids in tow after her divorce from her cheating and absent husband. Blayne is a hunky cowboy. He is an ex-military man who now owns a construction company. He was raised in the system, but Reggie's family became his family. He has wanted her for years but stayed away as she was married and he thought he wasn't good enough. Now, he is not only in love with her but also her kids. OMG, the chemistry was sizzling and the ending was so happy. Seeing Blayne with the kids made my ovaries explode. I loved it.
I'm not going to give anything away in my review, read the book for yourself. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The story flowed very well, it was sweet with a little spice and well written. The only drawback for me was the timeline was kinda all over the place and it left me questioning things. For instance Reggie has 3 kids. 2 are teenagers but according to the story she was only married for 10 years. But there no mention of the oldest two already existing before marriage. But I have ADHD so these things trip me up. It's not a big deal, just a thing I noticed. Other than that I loved this book but it's no surprise since I'm a big fan of her stories and writing style.
Two people, afraid to reach out. Her, recently divorced with three kids, and a complete lack of trust in men, moves back home. He is ex military with memories that give him challenges.
He's had a thing for her when they first met and kept it hidden. Watched as she became engaged, married and had a family. Now she's coming home. Now there are possibilities. In those years, he made something of himself. He's well thought of, became a successful contractor; owning his own company.
Nd heat grows as he takes care with her and the kids, being there for them. Very good story of finding hope and trust.
This isn't really a second chance story but rather a taking a chance on feelings. Reggie returns home with her three kids after her divorce. She's trying to rebuild and give her kids a good life. Blaine is the " construction" guy who has helped Reggie's parents but has avoided Reggie whoever she visited before. When these two see each other the sparks from high school are reignited. This is a sweet story of two people finally give their true feelings a chance. It's three wonderful kids who desperately needed that father figure and are thrilled to have Blayne. It's a sexy strong love story that may seem fast but was years in the making.
Blayne has had a thing for Regina Mason before she married her husband but he is was not in the right head space back then. Now fifteen years later she has returned to her parents farm with her children following her divorce.
Blayne is now a successful contractor and is there to help Reggie and the kids settle in. What starts as a friends with benefits arrangement becomes so much more as the kids and Reggie start to worm their way into his heart.
This is a great story, Blayne is everything this family needs after the absentee husband and father.

What a fun story. I loved that Annalise was their secret fairy princess from the beginning. I appreciated the way the author introduced and provided a full picture of the characters previous interactions, as well as the incorporation of Regina's kids and family. This story was a slow burn, but the build up is so worth the wait. This story had me smiling and laughing most of the time. Between Regina, her kids, and the town's busy bodies, you couldn't help but cheer for the building of this new family. Of course there were some predictable moments, but they were necessary.
Owned By The Cowboy by Imani Jay is part of the multi-author Silver Creek Ranch series. This story finds Regina moving back to her home town with her three children after getting divorced. She is ready to lick her wounds and build a good life for them as a family, even if she is not sure what that means quite yet. But the one thing she was not expecting was to have Blayne come back into her life, and then into her bed and heart. He has had a crush on Reggie since they were kids but always thought he was never good enough for her. That is all about to end and he is about to prove he is more than what she will ever need or want, for her and the kids.
Imani Jay is fast becoming a favorite author of mine. She knows how to grab ahold of her readers from the 1st page to the last. Her characters are so very delightfully flawed that you can't help but cheer for their happy ever after's. The story of Blayne and Reggie is one of survival for both characters. Blayne from his time in the military and Reggie's from a failed marriage. They find out that you can find your future when you least expect it and don't think that you deserve it. You can't go wrong with this book!.

Reggie's internal thoughts had me cackling when it came to her parents, kids and Blayne. The attraction between her and Blayne was like quick fire, even though Blayne has been coveting her since he met her for 15 years
Annalise is cute and precocious and is unknowingly her Mom's and Blayne's matchmaker. I love the family dynamic and the little bit of roasting between Reggie, Blayne and the kids.
Was a cute quick read.

Great story. Reggie returns home divorced with three children. She has noticed Blayne since she was a college student and he is still as attractive as ever. Blayne has always thought himself not good enough for Reggie and he struggles not to act on the attraction that they have. Reggie's youngest daughter, at six, has no filter and will melt your heart with all her comments. Blayne is a natural with the children and you will be cheering for the adults to find their happy place. I loved reading this story.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS STORY! I loved all the characters! They were all so well written and the story was so sweet, AND THOSE SEXY TIME SCENES WERE🥵🥵🥵! The pace of this story and the way it unfolded was so perfectly timed. The MMC WAS SO DAMN SEXY AND HE WAS ALL ABOUT THE FMC, and he was so patient and loving, and just had the biggest heart, and oh yeah, HE WAS 🔥🔥🔥 in addition. The way the MCs came together was so organic and really wonderful! This book is definitely going into rotation as a reread! Great book!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Regina takes her three kids and moves back home to her hometown to start over after her divorce. Her parents are happy to have her and the grandchildren there. There is someone else who is glad to see Regina, Blayne. He has been carrying a torch for her since he first meets her. He never felt that he was good enough for her, but now he has a second chance. He is going to prove to Regina that he is the man for her and her family.
Such a great story. The characters are so well written, they feel like family. Reggie getting the chance to fall in love after her divorce and Blayne getting the family he never had really pulls at your heartstrings, but the book manages to offset what could be heavy emotions with the cuteness of Annalise, Nia's teenage wisdom, and Jaylen's mature acceptance. Reggie and Blayne's love story was truly worth the wait.

I enjoyed reading "Owned by the Cowboy", by Imani Jay. Blayne fell in love with Regina (aka Reggie) at first sight, 15 years ago, but did nothing to pursue her. After her divorce Reggie returned home with her three children. This is Blayne opportunity to finally make Reggie his, but only if he can get out of his own way.

This was such a feel good book. Love that this book felt relatable in being scared to tell someone how you feel. This is the first book in the series and the length felt right. The author usually writes a quick to the point book. I feel like the characters were fleshed out and I was rooting for them. 10 out 10 would recommend.
