本書は日本語能力試験N1~N5レベルの重要表現の使い方を、調べたいときすぐにひける文型辞典です。本書の特長は、何といっても見出し語の見付けやすさです。例えば、「今日を限りにたばこをやめる」という文。日本語学習者が文型を調べるときに抱えがちなストレスが、「『かぎりに』の『か』から探しても、見出し語が見付けられない!」というものです。本書は、「限りに」の「か」からでも「を限りに」の「を」からでも、どちらからでも見出し語にたどり着けるようにしました。さらに、すべての文型の解説には英語・中国語・韓国語の3カ国語訳付き。試験対策のためにも常に持ち歩いていただきたい１冊です。教師の授業準備のお供としてもおすすめです。
※本書は、2007年5月に発行された『どんな時どう使う日本語表現文型辞典』の文型レベル表示を改め(1級~4級を★1~★5に変更)、それに伴い、例文や解説を改良したものです。
This textbook is a sentence pattern dictionary that allows learners to quickly research ways of using essential expressions for level N1 to N5 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). It is unique for its ease of looking up vocabulary entries. For example, consider the phrase, “Kyō wo kagiri ni tabaco wo yameru” (“I’m going to quit smoking, starting tomorrow”). Learners of the Japanese language tend to feel stress when looking up sentence patterns because, even if they search from “ka” for “kagiri ni,” they cannot find the pertinent vocabulary entry. This textbook makes it possible to arrive at the vocabulary entry from either “ka” (“kagiri ni”) or “wo” (“wo kagiri ni”). Moreover, all sentence pattern explanations include translations in three languages: English, Chinese, and Korean. This textbook is the perfect choice to carry with you when studying for tests, and is also recommended for teachers preparing classwork.

This book is really useful in order to help you with your grammar issues in Japanese Language learning. The explanation is so understandable, I guess this is also because of my native language, Indonesian, which has many phrases that having similar meaning to some extent. But it doesn't cover some of N1 grammar rules. So I think i have combine it with another books.
