I mean, maybe that ending was a little open-ended, but it still leads me to say FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!!
Moments leading up to it were SO cute, and I couldn't help but be over the moon for Risa!! Mighty really did work his magic! Bahahaha!!
Lots of really, really cute and wonderful moments in this, and I cannot wait to see what's going to happen next because EEEEKKKK!!!
Also, though, the way things have sort of turned in that what Ôtani did to Risa is now Risa doing it to him, and I couldn't help but laugh because poor Ôtani! LOL!!

El torneo de básquet y el icónico "I guess I'm just no good without you."
...not to mention, why is a teacher "working his magic" on his students' relationship, anyway? That seems inappropriate, too. Never mind, it seems like "Mighty's" (so cringe-y) role will diminish now that it's obvious that Risa's crush on him was a passing thing.
Either the art and storytelling are a little better now that we're seven volumes in, or I've gotten into the flow of this title a little better. I had expected Ōtani's inevitable pivot to boyfriend material would change his interactions with Risa too much, make them identical to the other "old married"-acting teenagers in the story, but they're still more like ten-year-olds than 17-year-olds when it comes to love, so that's cute.
Are Haruka and Seiko low-key dating? They seem like they're always together in scenes where the characters are being social.
In any case, this is quote close to where I stopped reading last time. It's close enough to a happy ending to not particularly need any more story. We'll see how well the author handles the typical interference that a shoujo manga "dating couple" has to cope with, with her All Hanshin-Kyojin lead characters.
That kiss scene. I remember watching this anime in middle school and wanting a relationship like this. Friends to lovers is such a great trope, and if you're not into manga/anime but like romance and good friendships and comedy, you need to try this.
Plus, the anime is one of the only ones to be entirely in Kansai-ben! Meaning the dialect spoken in Osaka, and other parts of Kyoto.
In this volume, it's Koizumi's birthday, a full year since she first confessed her love and Otani is feeling the pressure. Then, all hell breaks loose and little miss J-R here has a major fangirl-gasm. Aside from that, I have nothing else to really say about this one that wouldn't include spoilers and really the whole book is just full of great, easily spoiled moments.
This volume is one of the cutest in the series. I originally skipped it because it was already checked out at my library and I wanted to read on and not have to wait. Now, I wish I had waited (my patience is lacking when it comes to cute romantic comedy manga). The dialogue is perfect, the interactions priceless in these chapters.
This volume was perfection. Risa and Otani are hilarious together and you can tell she really loves him. Then they kiss on the roof after her birthday party. Risa is over the moon of course, but she doesn't know if they're a couple or not. So Otani says he doesn't kiss his friends like that. So are they dating? I think they are and I can't wait to find out in volume 8!

This volume was sooo cute!! Otani was so sweet I could have died!! Risa finally got what she deserves!! The waiting was worth it XD
But seriously, this volume has been the sweetest one in the whole series, and that is saying something cause the entire manga/anime is one of the cutest and funniest I have ever read/watched in a shoujo.
Oh man I love this series so much! This volume is perfect and I loved every bit of it. My favorite so far. I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone who might be reading these lovely moments for the first time :)
ME MADE IT WE DID IT GUYS!!!!! They need to start communicating better now that im assuming they’re in a relationship, rather than being passive aggressive and hoping the other person gets the hint. Especially Otani needs to be more straightforward considering he made Risa wait for a very long time, while giving her hope with his comments in between. How is she supposed to know hes 100% serious about her now? Their kiss was really cute and him giving her a bunny necklace cause he paid attention to stuff she likes, UGH MY HEART…

Currently SCREAMING, that last panel 😭😭, i thought it was never going to happen. I hated miscommunication through all of the volume, c’mon Ōtani, be clear and concise…. But with that last panel ajaheuqiajsihij
