The Crescent Coven #2

Scorched by the Ember King

Rate this book
A molten man. A potion witch with a sarcasm problem. One magical rift. And two very lonely people who might ignite everything.

Sybil isn’t the kind of witch who saves the world. She makes potions in her greenhouse, hoards stray cats, and helps protect her town in her spare time. But when a fireborn stranger crash-lands in her garden, she’s the only one reckless, or stubborn, enough to help him.

Maddox doesn’t know who he is, only that something in under Coldwater Springs is burning and he was thrown out of it. Sybil’s the first person who’s ever spoken to him like he’s a person, not a weapon, not a warning. And he’s not about to let her go.

Magic is breaking. Creatures are escaping. And the man made of fire is starting to think he was never meant to go back.

The Crescent Coven – small town, big magic, and monster romances that scorch like wildfire.

Scorched by the Ember King is a spicy, standalone cozy witch romance featuring a sarcastic potion witch, an amnesiac hero, chaotic magic, one bed, and a cat familiar who wants none of it. Lots of heat, and a guaranteed HEA! Novella length.

Thank you StoryOrigin, and Evelyn Embers for sending me this advance review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This one was just okay.

There was very little worldbuilding, and I struggled to get into it. It felt really insta love, but in a weird way. The characters didn't feel like they fit together well.

The amnesia didn't feel like it mattered at all to the plot and was a trigger instantly removed it with no lasting damage. Not sure why it was there to begin with to be honest. There was so much important stuff that happened with no explanation, and it literally feels like we only got half a story.

I did like Maddox and how his fire powers worked. It was unique, and I'd love to see more of that. The spice was great too!

Overall this was a super quick read, and I did enjoy it even though it was a bit rough around the edges.

SMOKING HOT 🔥

Am I hoping an Ember King might stumble into my garden now... hell yassss.

This was such a fun, short, spicy read that I did not want to put down!

Mmc accidently ends up landing in a witches gardens and the chemistry is instant! He gives off cinnamon roll, protector vibes and I was completely here for it!

There was no slowburn to be found 🔥

5 ☆ read would definitely recommend!

Smokin’ hot!
A short read that is full of adventure, mystery, and a burning love so deep it transcends realms. Wonderful characters and familiars. This is a fantastic addition to the Coldwater Springs series from a brilliant author. I received a free copy of this book and am leaving my review voluntarily.

Too fast but still fun

I enjoy this author’s little world. This story definitely lacked some details that would have really helped it but the couple was still great. Who doesn’t love a house full of animals. I wish I could have gotten to understand more of how his realm worked, but I am excited to see what’s coming.
