I think I am in the minority on this one. I struggled with the writing in this book. I think the characters just reacted in odd ways and it kept throwing me off. I know Remington is suppose to come of as broody, intense and mysterious but he just felt off to me.
Selene needed to ask questions. She seemed to accept too many oddities that were going on. She is recovering from a divorce that hit her hard 2 years prior. She's getting back into the modeling business and Remington is the first man she is allowing interest in.
Remington is, I think a famous artist in Paris. The details on the famous part is fuzzy. He's also a single father. We find out the mother of his child passed away but whatever feelings he had for her, they were not good.
Remington pursues Selene but also holds her back in the beginning. It starts to reveal that he is being stalked and the way this book ended, I'm now questioning if his wife is really dead. I'm hoping the mysterious trouble he has going on is why things seem off in book 1 and that it will get better in book 2.

This is a great start to Remington and Selene’s story. There’s so much mystery surrounding Remington. I have so many questions regarding him and his past. Onto the next.

Selene Michaels, after a painful divorce, is starting to love herself, curves and all, again.
Deciding to get her life back, Selene took a trip to Paris where she expected to have a little "fun", but what she did not expect was to meet Remington St. Germain and his adorable son, Adrien.
Remington, sweet Jeezuss, he was perfection. Yup, a total alpha male. He had you up and down with his different moods, always keep me wondering what is next. I could feel the rumble in his voice as I read, I love men with accents so I fell hard for him.
He's handsome, kind, protective, and intense. He will go to any extremes to protect those he cares about and he always goes after what he wants. And what he wants is Selene. Heart, body, and soul.
The interaction between them is HOT! You feel the sexual tension between them, I was like ok, I need them to do it now LOL. I love to see a man undone by the desire he feels for a woman. And Remington, was desperate to have Selene.
I loved Autumn Grey breaks the stereotypes by using a curvy woman. She was insecure of her curves, like many women, including myself are, and I felt it was kind of inspiring.
I couldn't help but root for her.
A great short novel with a light cliffhanger, that left you wanting to get the next book so you can find out what happens is going to happen to them.

This book surprised me on so many levels, first off I was told this was a paranormal book so imagine me never having read that genre before sitting there devouring this wondering when all the freaky shit was going to hit me full frontal, got to the end and I can still say my paranormal cherry is still intact..
I really enjoyed this book, the only gripe I would have about this is where is the hot Remington gracing the cover?? Being a cover hoe I would've missed this book completely so I am very thankful I was gifted an arc as part of hosting..So please don't be like me and miss out on this book!!
Ohhh and man oh man this book has some very hot scotching scenes thrown in that will get those juices running!! *fans face*
I found myself doing things without a second thought when I was around Remington

I will keep this short because this was a shot serial novella, but we are introduced to Selene and Remington. The prologue was simply heart breaking. When you know someone for so long and think of them as your knight in shining armor, then he shatters your heart PLUS you got through someone else heartbreaking AND then find out more details about your husband that you didn't know before. God, I felt like how much more can Selene take?? But she picked the pieces and decided to move on with her life.
The start of this book is 19 months after he divorced. She is getting back into modeling and trying to get her life back on track. While in Paris on a new job, she meets Remington St. Germaine. He is a man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it.
I appreciated this book for being slightly slow because it was basically an introduction that got steamy towards the end. Practically the whole book was foreplay until towards the end. I am hoping to get more time with Adrien in the next two installments because it's not secret that I love kids in a romance and he is just precious!

First impression of Remington:
He was quite sneaky to get Selene to his house. His exudes confidence and it appears he has money or that he’s something special as people seem to know him and be a little in awe of him. I was instantly under his spell. 😍
Selene (26, plus size model):
After suffering a devastating loss, Selene’s husband of 6 years informs her he’s in love with her best friend and walks out the door. Nineteen months later she has rekindled her modeling career as a plus size model (she is a whopping size 12) and is off to Paris for a 3 month job. Eventually she wants to start her own business designing lingerie for plus size women.
”I was heartbroken, but I wasn’t dead. In fact, I’d probably been given another chance for life. A do-over. There was no way I was going to let bitterness and rejection rule my life.”
First impression of Selene: she is sad and she has a jerk of a husband. I’m actually glad he is her ex.
The Story
While in Paris, Selene meets Remington St. Germain. Selene and Remington instantly take notice of each other and through a bit of manipulation on Remington's part they end up becoming fully involved. They have steamy, flirty banter and have quite a slow burn to the bedroom. But, once they hit the sheets (94%) their chemistry is quite hot.🔥
There is a bit of intrigue as there is someone in Remington's world who does not want him to find love.
”Two years ago, I'd started receiving unusual text messages on random days of the week, sent from an anonymous number. They were mostly flirty and sometimes disturbingly intimate, but never threatening”
“Every time I start a relationship with a woman, the letters start arriving. It used to be text messages, and now, letters.”
Is it a former lover or someone else? 🤔 Time will tell.
As this book comes to a close, both Selene and Remington are coming to the realization they are more important to each other than they are willing to admit. When another letter arrives and appears to include a threat of harm, Selene makes a difficult decision and the story ends with a cliffhanger.
My Thoughts
I liked both Remington and Selene. They have a low angst relationship and the drama comes from outsiders. This is a slow build, but they definitely have some chemistry that is simmering below the surface just waiting for the perfect time to ignite. Although not much is revealed about their backgrounds, they both have some sadness in their past and that helps them feel connected.
On a side note, I would just like to say I think it's pretty sad that a size 12 is considered plus size. No wonder everyone has a complex because apparently a "normal" woman is considered plus size. 😏 I guess that's the world we live in, but that just sucks. 😕 On the “plus” side 😉 I did appreciate that the sole focus wasn’t on Selene’s ample curves. Yes, she has them but she was actually pretty comfortable in her skin and was never referred to as “fat” or “chunky” or anything negative. Ok...tangent and small rant done now.
This is a pretty short book (only around 120 pages) so there are some obvious holes and the characters aren’t fully developed, but I'm sure all that will be filled in with subsequent books. Adrien (Remington’s son) adds the “cute” factor to the story and the letter intrigue (which I anticipate will ramp up in the next book) adds the mystery aspect that keeps the reader guessing. Overall, I'm interested enough to continue with the series.

REMINGTON REMINGTON REMINGTON! I need more Remington!
Such a beautiful sexy intriguing book, I have been saving this treasure as I knew that being by Autumn Grey it would be a true gem. And I'm so glad I did, even though I'm now kicking myself for not reading it sooner. It was absolute PERFECTION. The sexual tension was off the charts, as well as the SUSPENSE! So so so good! LOVED IT, already deep into book two! I'm so in love with these characters! Both of them, all of them!

Wow! Holy smokes!
This story might have been quick but it was not at all lacking and packed a serious punch. I was hooked upon that initial heated meeting of the seductive Selene and full-on sexiness that was Remington. Those two have a chemistry like you would not believe and with them, sparks don't just fly, those two catch fire!
"She'd caught me off guard and I was in a state of havoc, caught between lust and attraction for her, and my past." Sigh....oh, Remington.
"You're a dangerous man, Remington St. Germain." And boy is Selene right on this one!
"Never trust a man when he says he just wants to kiss you." Remington, you naughty boy...and Selene, you're a lucky girl.
I loved both of their back stories and how their attraction intensifies to the point of no return. I was ready for them to run off into the sunset on a white horse together, but alas, a curve-ball was thrown and I must wait to sink my teeth into more. Thankfully, she isn't making me wait long and I'll soon have my greedy hands all over more of Selene and Remington.
If you're looking for a series packed with steam, I'd suggest this book in a heartbeat. I tend to get in reading slumps and this book yanked me right out of it. Autumn Grey wrote such a story that left me in a state of havoc....and somehow I'm happy about that.

First of all PARIS....!!! The only place i wish to visit once in my lifetime!
I was very much interested to read this book when i came to know that its set in Paris.
I was hooked upon it from the very first page. This book is a complete package I mean really a complete compact powerful package of Romance, Steamy chemistry, mystery, a dashing dirty mouth hero and a strong heroine with all those emotions weaving through.
Remington...!!! Oh that hot hot man ! I couldn't get enough of him.
While Selene was a perfect character to match up with this smartass guy.. I liked how the author has introduced Selene as a curvy woman when all the stories around always have those sexy, slim. smart heroines which just sound unfair to me :( I needed that inspiration at the time haha. :p
What a passionate chemistry they both had. The ending is a minor cliff but it didn't bother me because i had all three books on my shelf and all the time in the world to read !

First thoughts: Autumn Grey writes amazingly elegant characters, they are refined, gorgeous, raw and utterly amazing. They pull you into their story and demand to be heard until the book is finished. This isn't an author telling their stories, its the characters telling us.
Thoughts on Plot: So contemporary isn't my normal cup of tea, its not that i hate it, i just sometimes get bored *shrugs* we all have preferences, but this, wow. seriously, wow. Kept my attention and made me practically PANTING to get back to it. The story was wonderful, I loved learning about these two stories. They both have a little darkness in their past and there is so much more to learn, so much more to happen! AHHHHH WHAT I AM SAYING IS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY GIVE ME THE NEXT ONE WOMAN! i mean.. *clears throat* I am professional, *nods* yeah... sure WHATEVER ;) hahaha okay but seriously this was awesome

Selene: In true Autumn fashion, her main character is not only elegant, a true woman, but fierce, strong a joy to read. I really loved Selene, she was pretty awesome, though she sees herself as weak at some points i see the complete opposite. She is seriously amazing, i love the confidence and love that she has for her own skin and body. There are still insecurities because of her past but she mostly has her head held high and she is ready for anything even Remington - and with a name like that you KNOW he is hot as hell
Remington: Oh yeah, hot as hell. this is a man of mystery with a lot of sexual energy just surrounding him. he is *fans self* quite the book boyfriend if this man is real can someone PLEASE point him in my direction! I am not hard to miss i have my arms waving frantically and lust in my eyes ;) hahahah okay serious time, I think he was super hot, so alpha without being annoying alpha. nommie nommie.....this just got awkward didn't it?

This book just joined the list of my all time favourites. Remington St. Germain Mr Tall, Sexy and knock your socks off, SIGH I loved every thing about this broody hunk of a man, take no prisoners, mysterious, sweet , bad arse artist. it was so good to read a book where the characters loved food and weren't skinny twigs complaining about losing weight and the sex is sooo HOT when it came down to the sex this book does not beat around the bush with words like down there and member it says it like it is dirty and raw now that's a book I can relate too ladies bring a change of knickers when reading this one you are going to need them !

The beginning of an amazing series revolving around Selene Michaels and Remington Germaine.
I was immediately pulled in to their story. The sexual chemistry, undeniable attraction and playful/naughty banter between them is wonderful.
Selene is recently off a tough divorce and is in Paris for work. She is referred to as a plus size model but that being said she is a beautiful size twelve. She is sassy, smart, beautiful on the inside and out and is determined not to be a plaything for any man! Remington is a mysterious man that seems to always get what he wants and it appears he has set his sights on our lovely Selene. He is an artist and it appears that he is also the most sought after bachelor in his town. When the two meet you can feel the tension smoldering off the page. Remington plays the aloof card but soon Selene realizes his true intentions. The man has many secrets and would do anything that he can to protect those he cares about even it means letting them go!!! So many secrets!!!! I can't wait to see where Autumn takes us in this journey!

Havoc is a nice mix of second-chance love, steam, and suspense. And I thrilled at meeting Selene and Remington. I'm anxious to continue their story!
Both Selene and Remington are scarred souls. Selene is piecing her life back together, trying to regain the confidence she once had. She's also reclaiming the career she let go and is in Paris for a new campaign launch. Remington is mysterious and sends mixed signals to Selene in the beginning. But he's an artist and a gorgeous single-dad, so he's broody nature seems fitting.
The sexual tension between Selene and Remington is incredible. Remington seems to be able to say so much with a look, a touch... Grey did an excellent job of conveying the pull between these two. And Grey tells the story from both Selene's and Remington's POVs, so we get to know what each is thinking.
The suspense element was just heating up at the end and it definitely has me on edge. I sympathize with both Selene and Remington - understand their stances on where they should go from here. I do have a theory as to what's going on, so I'm eager to find out if I'm right. Luckily, January 5th, when Obliterate releases, isn't too far away.

Я ждала напряженного любовного романа с интригами и тайнами...и где-то с середины все уходит в банальщину :/ Пол романа прожигали друг друга взглядами, она модель - только развелась с мужем, вся такая разбирая, только собрала свою жизнь в кулак, сразу вернулась в модельный бизнес и он - отец одиночка, богатый, красивый, суровый. Они знакомится... потом быстрый перепих и под конец "о-па" оказалось она похожа на его умершую жену - драма, драма! Ни один герои мне не понравился. Эти "горячие" признания на ровном месте, грязные разговорчики во время секса...... неееееа, не хочу читать! Прям испортили все впечатление.

Wow!! Talk about a great read!! That is exactly what this is!! The instant attraction Selene & Remington has sizzles right off the pages! This book had me hooked from the 1st page!! I can't wait to read more of Autumn Grey's work!! Definitely A must read!!

I did not realize when I started this that it was a cliffhanger... I don't really feel any connection to either of the mcs, so idk if I'm going to finish this series.

I had never heard of the author before this book was recommended to me but I will tell you that Autumn Grey has written one really great intriguing story. Our heroine, Selene, A plus size model, is in Paris for three months on business. She is recovering from a divorce and the loss of her child. She is in Paris for some peace and some adventure and that's just what she gets when she meets up with Remington St. Germaine, the sexy single father of a son, Adrien. He is taken with Selene at first sight after a chance meeting in a hotel lobby. She of course can't help but notice this sexy, charming Frenchmen. The story gives us their troubled pasts and his desire to be with her and her not being able to resist the sexy Remington. He is the epitome of the perfect gentlemen, caring for her every need, but his intensity when they are alone leaves you breathless, just the way she feels when she is with him. The ending is a cliffhanger, but not so much so that you know somehow, things will be straightened out all in good time. Looking forward to Obliterate! Sex scenes were steaming hot. How could they not be when a Frenchmen is saying sexy things to you in French!! Loved this book!

Sometimes books grab you and just don't let go and this is one of them. The prologue is so full of emotion, you feel Selene's confusion, her pain, her despair and her heartbreak, how is she going to recover and get through what her life has become, I loved how the story takes time to develop, there is no quick recovery, no jumping into bed with men to dull her pain but time and family to help heal the pain. When on a trip to Paris she meets the mysterious and enigmatic Remington St Germain, the attraction is instant, the heat they generate is off the scale and he has a dirty mouth which I love! There is a mystery running thought out the whole book and its not just Remington's past, the ending left me panting for more.

Really enjoyed this book. Great chemistry between Selene and Remington. Beautiful and romantic setting. A touch of intrigue and mystery, and I'm glad that the second book is out. ;-)
