She’s searching for her why. He’s ready to show her why not.
What kind of smart, successful, independent woman puts her life on hold to travel thousands of miles across the continent on the advice of an online psychic? Dr. Blair Littlefoot, apparently.
When her uncle calls asking her to cover his long service leave at Timber Falls Hospital, Blair follows her gut and heads to the small Alaskan mountain town in search of the “fresh outlook and new opportunities” promised by her tarot reading. She’s at a crossroads, desperate to rediscover her purpose—and maybe her passion—after years of dedicating her life to medicine and little else.
Sutton Cooper is the glue that holds Cooper Ranch together.
With two of his brothers already finding their soulmates thanks to the family prophecy, he knows his turn will come—and he’s willing to wait. What he doesn’t expect is for his fated one to be his secret college crush—the brilliant woman who once inspired him to face his demons and help others do the same.
Now that Blair’s back in his orbit as the ranch’s first-ever farmstay guest, Sutton’s sure the mountain spirit is giving him a second chance to shoot his shot.
All he has to do is help her turn her “why” into “why not?”
*** This time it's a family of four brothers with the last name Cooper who inherit their grandfather's mountain ranch in the small town of Timber Falls, Alaska. There's just one condition--they all have to move back to the mountain and stay there for two years before they can leave. The question is, once they each meet their One true love, will they want to go?
These are the same kind of sweet, flirty, fated soulmate stories you love from Marley Michaels, with more big, gruff and tough Cooper men living their lives on and near the mountain--even if they've been away from it since they were kids. The mountain has always provided for its keepers, and now it's time for more feisty women to warm up their cold mountain hearts and complete their lives forever. Can we all say, awww.
Okay, I cannot say this enough. These stories get better and better. You better have tissues ready. Sutton had a crush but due to his anxiety he never talked to her. When he finally gets the courage, he does not see her again. Blair arrives at the Cooper ranch as she will be working at the local hospital for her uncle while he is away on vacation. In comes Grumpy the donkey. OMG this will have you laughing. I would definitely give this more stars if I could. You cannot do wrong reading these stories.

This book truly brings home the fated for each other theme. Sutton first saw Blair over a decade ago when they were attending the same university. Anxiety kept him from approaching her during their school term, and she never returned after the summer break. This experience was the catalyst to changing his major to psychology so that he could help others conquer their anxiety, so is not to lose out on life-changing opportunities like he had. He never expected to gain another opportunity with the woman who has been in his thoughts since university, but fate in the mountain spirit have brought Blair to Timber Falls, Alaska, add to the Cooper Ranch specifically, which is owned by his family.
Though he recognizes her instantly, Blair has no idea who Sutton is or why he seems stunned to see her. Their first meeting is hilariously engineered by a rogue donkey and leaves both Sutton and Blair, very aware of each other and wanting to know more. His brothers are quick to notice Sutton‘s fascination with their new guest, and they along with their brides to be set about teasing Sutton and doing a better matchmaking to make sure that Blair get a chance to know Sutton better. Two of his brothers have already gone through the call and they are eager to have Sutton and Blair join the ranks of happily matched couples. The only one not knowing what is going on is Blair, though her friends are very eager to fill her in. But will a doctor with a scientific mind believe in the mountain spirit and the call?
I love the humor, the warmth, and the slightly mystical aspect of this book. I also enjoy the close bonds of the brothers and the similar bond Blair has with your two best friends. The teasing and the unconditional support are engaging and much appreciated. The relationship between Sutton and Blair quickly evolves from strangers to friends, and then to lovers. They are another very happy couple brought together by the mountain spirit.
I am happy to recommend this book and all the other books featuring the mountain spirit and the call. Happy reading!.
Well as always i was so excited to get stuck into this ARC. From the chemistry between the characters to the feral animals i love every one of these books and this one was no different. I think I fell in love with Sutton straight away! He was so sweet 💕
Who would want to leave such an amazing place! I certainly wouldn't. “𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐. 𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍- 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆.”
Grumps is at it again! I swear these animals are my favourite 🤣 “𝑰 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒎, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑰 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒚 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉!”
I think if his eyes could have popped out of his head they would have 🤣 “𝑰’𝒎 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏’ 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏’ 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖,” 𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒑𝒔, 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Heartfelt, Fated-Love Romance That Hits All the Right Notes!
Mountain Needs a Heart is pure magic—emotional, romantic, and full of that cozy, small-town warmth that makes Marley Michaels’ books so addictive. This one absolutely deserves all five stars.
Blair is the kind of heroine you root for from page one: brilliant, burned-out, and brave enough to chase a new beginning all the way to the Alaskan mountains. Her search for purpose feels real and relatable, and watching her open herself up to life again is incredibly satisfying.
Then there’s Sutton—steady, strong, gentle, and quietly longing for the woman who once inspired him back in college. He’s the rock of Cooper Ranch, and the moment Blair arrives, you can feel the shift in him. Their chemistry is effortless, warm, and grounded in deep respect. Sutton doesn’t just want her—he wants to support her, steady her, and show her what a life filled with love could look like.
The fated-mates prophecy woven through the Cooper brothers’ stories adds such a sweet, whimsical touch. The mountain, the ranch, the family bond—it all creates the perfect backdrop for a romance that feels destined. Blair and Sutton together are tender, natural, and completely captivating.
This book has everything: a woman rediscovering herself, a patient and devoted hero, soul-deep attraction, and the gorgeous Alaskan setting that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and never leave Timber Falls.
A warm, beautifully written love story that proves sometimes the mountain really does know best. 💙🏔️✨.

I loved this coworkers second-chance crush, take on Ms.Michael's mountain man trope. Sutton crushed on Blair from afar when they both attended Boston College for undergrad. Blair, on the other hand, was focused on her medical degree and career with a single-minded intensity. When, more than a decade later, she is called to fill in for her uncle's leave of absence, she is brought back into Sutton's presence. This time, an improved and motivated Sutton is not going to make the same mistakes again. I loved how Sutton was both direct and honest in addressing his interest in Blair, but at the same time, also sensitive as to how overwhelmed his certainty would make Blair feel. I loved the low-key courtship of of this couple, turning chores and daily activities into experiences to share together. The banter between Blair and Sutton is smart and swoony. Equally so is the repartee between Blair and her two besties back in Minnesota. I especially loved seeing characters from earlier books and series pop in for a plot-twisting cameo appearance. I was excited to see that the double wedding I have been waiting two books to read about, finally takes place. And oh, my!! is that wedding a memorable one. The plot bunnies are running wild right to the very end of this story, leaving me in eager anticipation of the next book in the series, and likely another two or three after that.

10 years ago in college Sutton watched Blair across the quad but his anxiety stopped him from connecting with her after a summer break he decided to talk to her but she had left. He changed his major to help others like him and Blair became a cardiologist with a great career. Sutton and his brothers inherited the ranch from their grandfather and they all had to stay 2 years or loose it. Blair was feeling unsettled so when her uncle asked for her to cover his shifts at the hospital for 6 months she said sure after a tarot reading done by Starchild saying she needed a change. Blair rents a cabin at the ranch, Case took her to the cabin. The next morning Grumps steals her underwear and chases the donkey into Sutton’s Zen garden, she talks to him thinking that Sutton is Case. Sutton’s garden is destroyed but Blair sees double when Case shows up he feels different and knows she is his One and is the woman he had been watching in college. Blair feels sparks when they touch but she doesn’t believe in the mountain spirit and Sutton tells her that he used to watch her. Blair’s friends tell her to read Aster’s books they were real live, Sutton tells her after they had a couple of dates that he loved her and they were fated and the spirit brought them together so she pulls away from him. At two of his brothers double wedding he saves the rings attached to Grumps neck before the donkey took off with them. Blair realizes that she does love Sutton.

I love Marley's books and they just keep getting better and better. This is about Sutton's Call and if this doesn't melt your heart, then you don't have one. When he discovers that the woman renting the cabin on the ranch is none other than the woman he watched from afar in college, too anxious to ask her out, Sutton knows that he can't let her go. With an introduction that includes Grumps causing chaos, Blair discovers that there is more to the mountain and the people who live on it than she ever have imagined, especially at the wedding where she meets Aster and when she is made an offer that will change her life and give her everything she needs to make her whole. This is a beautiful story and the carnage caused by Grumps had me belly laughing, especially his involvement in the wedding, it was pure brilliance. I hope we see more of her best friends too. A beautiful and heartwarming story that I read in one sitting as I just couldn't put it down. I wish I could give it more stars.
This was my first book in the series, and as soon as I finished already purchased the previous two books.
This is a love story with a touch of magic. Sutton was infatuated with Blair while attending college, but his anxiety kept him from approaching her, which in turn caused him to select psychology as his major so he could help people like him. Years later, Blair feels the call of the mountain at a time when she is at a crossroads in her career. So she moves to Timber Falls (she has a job in the hospital set up already) and into the new rental cabins in Cooper Ranch, Sutton's property. Their meet cute involves a donkey and for Sutton the realization that she is his fated mate... Cue in the wooing, and the relationship building, ups and downs, close calls, and the underlining magic of the mountain will make this a great read!
The book is truly a great paced story with relatable characters and the idea that soulmates will find each other in every lifetime.

The mountain Call does it again. Sutton sees a beautiful woman across the quad but his anxiety prevents him from doing anything about it. When he gets the nerve to talk to her she is gone changing the path of his life. He becomes a doctor to help people like himself. Blair gets a reading on line from Starchild beginning her journey to the Call. It’s been a decade but they get their meet cute. With lots of honesty and a few amazing dates Sutton realizes he is next and that Blair is his reward. As always there are some pitfalls along the way but the mountain never gets it wrong. After some hard choices they find their way to a wonderful life on the ranch. I love these stories and the emotional journeys that each couple takes.

Sutton pined for ice-queen med-student Blair back in their Boston College days. She never noticed. Twelve years later, Blair’s temporarily covering for her uncle and walks straight back into Sutton’s orbit, only now he’s all grown up, confident, and done waiting. He’s direct about wanting her, but patient, turning laundry-folding and coffee runs into quiet, swoony little dates. Their banter is sharp and heart-melting; her chats with her Minnesota besties are just as good. Cameos from past favorites (and one jaw-dropping plot twist) had me grinning. And that double wedding we’ve been teased about for two books? It finally happens, and it is perfection. Sweet, sexy, second-chance gold. Loved every page. Well done Marley Michaels!!.

Sutton had seen a girl from afar in college but never got to ask her out. Now he and his brothers have a cabin done and rented out. To his surprise, he sees her again and knows her name is Blair. Is she in town for 6 months to take over for her? Uncle George's job at the hospital. Tabitha said they would meet again in three months to see what plan she had to serve the community and the town in the area. When they finally met, thanks to the grumpy donkey with her underwear in his mouth, you will be laughing with them. But as they get to know each other, is she going to be able to accept the call as real or not Will her friend be able to help her, and when they surprise her what will happy to they also?.

What a fantastic read as Blair comes to Alaska to fill in for her Uncle George at the hospital for six months, and Sutton discovered that she was the girl, he made eyes at in college in Boston. But he never had the courage to talk to her due to his anxiety attacks. Now years later he's a psychologist at the hospital, and she was going to be the ER Dr. Also she had rented the one finished cabin on the Cooper Ranch for that period of time. Making Sutton think this was his second chance at getting Blair. Would the mountain see Blair as his "One"? Only time would tell, but we sure would certainly enjoy finding out.

I loved Sutton and Blair. It was so sweet that he had seen her years before they met and felt something for her. The mountain certainly knew who would be the best reward for him, but they both deserved the happiness that they found. Love this series and can't wait for the next book!.

This book is amazing! The next Cooper to hear the call is Sutton and it starts when he’s in college in Boston. He will see her across the quad but will never get the chance to learn her name. Years later, he will see her again when she comes to Timber Falls for a six month contract at the hospital where Sutton works. The two have an interesting first meeting thanks to Grumps the havoc-wreaking donkey. It isn’t long until the two feel the pull of the Call, though she’s not aware of the prophesy. I love how their love story unfolds and with the rest of the clan there for support and some more shenanigans by Grumps, it’s an absolute must read!.

Mountain Needs a Heart by Marley Michaels is the 3rd story in her Men of Cooper Ranch series. It’s a low angst, romantic, fated mate story with a HEA. Blair is not only sweet and instantly likeable, but she’s also such a smart, confident woman, which made me like her even more. Sutton is probably my new favorite leading man; he recognized something in himself he needed to work on, did the work, and came out so much stronger! (Anxiety of any kind is challenging.) The two together are swoony and funny and just wonderful. In addition to an beautiful love story, you also get a cast a familiar characters, a crazy donkey, and a couple of hilarious besties!
Blair is moving to the mountain for a few months to help cover for her uncles vacation at the hospital. While visiting she will also help evaluate what is missing from the area for patients. Sutton is shocked when Blair crashes through the bushes on his family ranch. She is his secret crush from college and now staying in one of the cabins they are renting. Sutton is positive she is his one and will not miss his second chance to win her over. Blair is put off by the idea but can't deny that Sutton and the mountain make her feel complete.

When Sutton Cooper say this gorgeous women across the quad at college he couldn't find the courage to approach her. Next term she wasn't there. Years later he is one of the Cooper brothers who have to spend two years on their late grandfather's ranch to inherit it. He is surprised to discover the woman he admired from afar at college is doing a six month temp at the local hospital. The spark is there but will Blair believe in the mountain's call or will she return to her previous life?
A lovely light read.

Yes the Mountain Spirit never gets it wrong. I love this series, but then I've every series that's involved a mountain Spirit. I just love happy endings with Quirky animals involved. LOL I still recall Duck Norris antics, I still have no clue to how he stole that whole pie. But my first book that I read from this series was Cowboy Seeks a Horse Whisper, where a vet falls in live and they complete the call but she gas to leave to do a once in a life time internship with rescue horses, but she leaves her cat behind to be looked after by her One. Him using a backpack to carry the cat around was hilarious. I can't wait to read what happens next.
This is better read after you have already read some of the earlier books but can be read as a " first time book " You just miss out on the extra fun of already knowing so many characters. A good old fashioned romance story that is not held together by raw heat but by great characters and even better storytelling. If you have already read any of the " mountain call " books you just know you are going to love this one.

A delightful second chance for Sutton and Blair. Blair comes to Timber Falls to fill in at the hospital for her Uncle and finds that Sutton Cooper from college is the psychologist there. Can he convince Blair to believe the call of the mountain? Loved their slowburn, witty banter and their ease at finding how they fit together. As always the secondary characters old and new made the story even more heartwarming.

I am absolutely loving this series just like prior ones they just get you right in the feels. This is the story about Blair and Sutton. Sutton has always had a crush on Blair since college, but his anxiety stops him from making a move. It is his turn to hear the call, and the mountain is never wrong, and I loved how this romance developed. I love the humour and the drama that is in every one of these books and this one just did not disappoint. I highly recommend it.

Marley never disappoints, another great read in the series from her. Pity we can't put more than five stars! Her characters always have depth and compassion. Sutton changing his major to help others because of his problems, shows a huge depth of heart. Blair spent her life training to help others and now it's her turn to benefit. Sutton has to wait years to meet again his 'gorgeous ' but it's well worth the time for both of them.

I loved Sutton and Blair together, their honesty, connection and chemistry, they made me happy seeing them together. I loved the closeness of family and friends in this, the ribbing, interfering, enthusiasm and love that was between them all was lovely to read. The text messages between Blair, Alex and Cate really made me smile, what a fab set of friends they were. I am enjoying reading this series.

After taking a break for a few months from this series it was really good to read a new one again. I just love these romances. They are sweet, romantic, fictional, feel good stories through and through. There is always something to smile about something to feel good about and something that moves you in a good way. This particular story is exactly all of the above and is so well deserving of the fabulous four stars I am giving it here. I can't wait to read the next story!!.

Blair goes to Alaska to take over her uncle's position at the hospital. Blair is asked by her uncle to take over his position at the Alaskan hospital where he works while he is on extended leave. Book 3 of Men of Cooper Ranch story of Dr. Blair Littlefoot and Sutton Cooper. Now that was worth the wait. I have to say the donkey was a hoot. I think the other animals from the other mountains need to make a visit to the other mountains too. I loved how these two’s story started with awkward and ended in true love.

I love the Cooper boys! And this is a fantastic addition to their story. Sutton is getting a second chance with the girl he had loved from afar in college. Love mountain stories and this one set in Alaska is a good one. They went to the same university but never met, he saw her and was attracted but too nervous. Now, years later, they are in the same town and meet. Can he convince her that she is the one for him? Will she find what she has been missing in her life? Great story, good characters, very enjoyable Story.
