Rusty the Bear – An Adventure with Sqeeky is pure joy from start to finish. The story is filled with warmth, humor, and just the right amount of excitement to keep kids engaged while teaching gentle lessons about courage, friendship, and trying new things.

The illustrations are absolutely delightful — full of color and charm — and perfectly match the playful tone of the story. It’s easy to see how young readers will fall in love with Rusty and his brave, funny adventures.

This is an incredibly cute book! The story of Rusty the bear, who prefers to stay home, getting pulled into a big adventure by a new friend is so much fun and really sweet. It's a wonderful story about friendship and trying new things.

​The illustrations are beautiful and match the fun tone of the story perfectly. It's a great length, making it perfect for children who are new to reading, but it's also a fantastic read-aloud book for the whole family.

​I especially love and appreciate that the author makes it a point to state this book was not written by AI. You can tell a lot of heart went into crafting this original story. Highly recommend this charming adventure!

just needs a better cover to match the charm inside

This is a genuinely charming book. The story is warm, engaging, and easy for kids to follow. The illustrations inside are few but very sweet and well-done, adding a nice touch without overwhelming the pages.

However, the cover design doesn’t reflect the quality of the interior art. Since the inside illustrations are so cute and polished, a stronger, more professional cover would elevate the whole book and make it much more appealing at first glance.

Overall, it’s an enjoyable read with great potential—just needs a better cover to match the charm inside. 4 stars.

I really recommend the book "Rusty the Bear: An Adventure with Sqeeky." The story is original, funny, and filled with beautiful watercolor illustrations. I know my kid will enjoy this story about Rusty the bear and his friendship with Sqeeky the orangutan. The plot follows them as they leave their forest to visit Sqeeky's zoo friends while being chased by a zookeeper, and it kept my 6-year-old engaged throughout. The colorful illustrations are well done and the themes of friendship and courage work well for the 4-12 age range, though my younger child needed some help with a few of the longer words.

We often buy books for bedtime reading, and we read this one together with my son, I can say he really loved it.
