In the city of Trenton NJ, you grow up to see many things. Many things that could scar somebody not used to these things for life. Ranging from killing, robbery, murder, gang banging, and drug dealing. These are the things displayed within a city that has so much more to offer. With the positive overlooked by the negative, people outside of Trenton only see the city as a Ghost Town. Eric Peterson is a young 18 year old who has taken responsibility as the man of the house with the absence of his father due to him being in prison. Eric has seen all the horror that can be produced in his hometown but he chooses to walk a different path by using his poetry to let out his pain. In the midst of walking a different path, Eric is faced with challenges that could end up being deadly. The main challenge to Eric is making sure that his sister Tyra doesn’t fall for the wrong person. To do that, Eric will put his freedom and his life on the line to make sure that his sister doesn’t fall victim to the situations that many young girls are put into. Written by Elijah Foreman, Ghost Town is a story that will keep you hooked from the very first page. This is a book written to pay homage to the city that makes while the world takes. Elijah Foreman writes this as a vivid depiction for people who are on the outside looking in to see the city from a different prospective. Not everybody in the city is a menace, but sometimes even the good must be faced with living in a Ghost Town.
A talented and dedicated author/writer, Elijah Foreman has been moving his pen for quite some time. As a young child, he was taught how to structure a stage play and that would birth his writing journey. At that time he wrote as a hobby and had no idea that this would one day be his career choice.
In 2010, at 18 years old Elijah made the decision to find a way to get into the urban lit industry. After having a chance conversation with Wahida Clark and NeNe Capri in his hometown of Trenton NJ, Elijah was motivated as ever to one day have his books read by the masses.
In 2013, at 21 years old Elijah would finally get his chance when he signed his first publishing deal and released his first book a month later. Over the next three years, Elijah had many pitfalls and setbacks hinder his progress but he kept pushing forward. Finally, in 2016 Elijah decided that it was time for a change. That change would be his own company, Elite Novelist Group.
Now, at 29 years of age, Elijah feels like he has dealt with every setback head on and is still here pushing his pen. And, with 28 books currently out, Elijah always lets it be known that he is not stopping any time soon. With podcast host and screenwriter being added to his list of accomplishments this year, there is plenty more of Elijah Foreman soon to come. Stay tuned.
This was a good read. Read this book in one day. Don't let this book slip by you. I am an avid reader and writer and this was a good book. I felt the author poured himself in this book.
now i am hooked. This was such a great, easy and creative book. i was hooked after the first page.
The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.
i would highly recommend this author and this book.
Wow!! This book was really good. There were some grammatical errors and formatting issues. Some chapter numbers were repeated. The tenses were being switched from one to another. But the storyline was great. I felt every emotion there was to feel.
