Dani Watson is a brothel worker on the planet Dantovon. Having escaped post-Armageddon Earth, she’s resigned to spending several years in service to pay off her contract. Her one consolation is that she avoided being captured by the Kalquorians. When a Kalquorian clan buys her contract, Dani attempts escape. Crashing on a remote moon puts her life in jeopardy, leaving her and the clan of Gelan, Wynhod, and Krijero fighting for survival in a hostile environment. Worse still, they’re being hunted by a group of brutal Tragooms who are determined to capture Dani and subject her to a fate worse than death.
Born in a small town on the coast of North Carolina to strict parents, Tracy St. John started out as a quiet, shy child. She was typical for her small town: studying hard for good grades, fishing with her dad on Saturdays and attending church on Sundays.
When adolescence kicked in, so did full-on rebellion. School, family and church fell by the wayside as Tracy partied too hard with the wrong people. Somehow surviving her wild-child phase, she pursued several careers before finally settling on video production and writing.
A string of failed relationships prompted her to give up on love…which of course meant fate immediately tossed Mr. Right her way. After only 4 months of dating, she eloped with the love of her life. They just celebrated 14 years of wedded bliss.
Prior to penning her first erotic novel ‘Alien Embrace’, Tracy wrote commercials, television and radio promos, and training films for various government entities.
Tracy St. John now lives in coastal Georgia with her husband and son. She still enjoys fishing, and you’ll often find her haunting train museums with her locomotive-loving son. Besides writing, she also works in video production both in front of and behind the camera. She’s usually cast as the gun-toting bad gal, getting handcuffed in the end. She has no complaints.
One of the weaker books in the series, this book was a pretty big disappointment. After reading the prequel from the Clan Beginnings series, Clan and Conviction and meeting Dramok Gelan, Nobek Wynhod, and Imdiko Krijero, I was looking forward to the next book, Alien Slave. In Alien Slave they meet up with Dani, the Matara who will join their clan. In later parts of the book the author does a pretty good job of explaining Dani's psychology but for the first half of the book she did so many stupid and boneheaded things it was hard to keep reading. I remember starting this book a while ago and leaving it for this reason. Its only because I want to read the whole series that I finished this one. I'd recommend reading Clan and Conviction and skipping this book.
Alien Slave is book five in the Clans of Kalquor series by Tracy St. John. It's been republished after a rework and re-edit by Totally Bound. Even though the series has been around for a few years, I am new to it since the republishing efforts began. Alien Slave is every bit of what I have come to expect from Tracy St. John and a book in the Clans of Kalquor series. I loved it!
After Armageddon, women from Earth-Earthers-have been leaving Earth, willingly, to go to Kalquor or in Dani's case, boarding slave ships and populating other planets. They work the brothels on those planets for three to five years, in order to gain freedom. Earth has nothing to offer. It's a dying planet and with very little choices, people are doing what they must do to survive.
Dani's brothel contract list shows Kalquorians as a no no. The owner of the brothel books a Clan anyway, since they paid double. She immediately doesn't like them, but they are nice to her and they are pretty attractive too. After a couple of nights with the Clan, her contract is bought by them. When she goes to pack, she flees instead. With her tracking collar removed, she'd be much harder to find. Seeing a former client as he's leaving the planet, he offers to take her with him. Things go terribly wrong and the ship crashes on a nearby moon. Dani went from the frying pan into the fire here! She's stranded with no food or water, no computer to call for help, and no weapons. The clan tracks her only to find the moon is full of hostile Tragooms who want Dani for themselves.
I am totally in love with the Clans of Kalquor series and Alien Slave is another solid story! Dani is vulnerable, prone to making bad decisions, and pretty likable. Everyone can relate to her issues. I loved all of the Clan and how they treated Dani. They individually showed her how they felt about her, as well as, how she would fit in as part of the Clan as a whole. She doesn't want to feel vulnerable even though the link to the Clan feels right. The Clan think it feels right too, and each man thinks she could be their Matara-(lifebringer). But they also don't want to be rejected, so they try to reason that they at least have her for three years. I like how each man fell in love with her quickly, to their surprise, but I also felt their struggles with how to handle their feelings. The guys are everything Dani could want, but first, they have to survive the Tragooms.
Jump on into the World of Kalquor! The author does a great job of filling you in on past events where it may be needed, so this book can be read as a standalone. But once you are in the knee deep in Kalquorians, you won't want to stop here! Go back to the beginning and read Alien Embrace, book one, and settle in for amazing ride!
5 Stars/4 Flames
This book was gifted to me by the Jeep Diva for an honest review. The review and ratings are solely my opinions.
If you are looking for a dirty smutty read, then this series won't disappoint. It has all my favorite elements combined in a sci-fi romance: big strong alien warriors, menage and a bit of dubcon and restraint...what's not to like. Oh did I mention these guys have 2 cocks?
I read this book first out of order i loved it so much I am reading the whole series, After the desctruction of Earth Women are getting on slave ships willingly and going to other planets to work for 3-5 years to gain freedom. Dani the character in this book does just that.
After she does of course she is sorry but she would have died on earth she knows.. so she does her time and wishes for the best,, she ends up working a brothel and services all kinds of aliens, She has said a BIG NO TO KALQORIANS though... since she thinks they blew up her planet which in fact they did not the earthers government ruined their own planet....
But the owner of the brother sets her up to entertain a clan of kalqorians anyway they paid double so she said just do it. They meet and the aliens are nice to her. She does not like them but will make the best of her time, specially after one of them bites her with his fangs and sends her off into a giggly lala land of pleasure.. after the meeting is over and the 3 aliens are gone she can think of nothing but them but hates herself for it.
The next day they pay for her entire day double again, Take her out to eat and she enjoys her time with them until they bring up her family all dead from earths demise.
she looses happieness and shuts down during dinner and is fuming with hate for these men as beautiful as they are looking like Kights of Arabia on steriods.... yeah.. all 6 1/2 feet tall to 7 1/2 feet tall, giant hunks,,, but she completets out her night with them and says I never want to see them again..
The next day they return to buy her contract.. the slave owner takes her slave collar off and they send her up to ther room to pack, well she has not tracking collar any more and jumps out a window and make a run for it... she sees a regular client who has a ship well that is what he calls it he offers her a ride and they crash on a deserted moon with only alien killer creatures and tramgooms a alien type who rape and kill by eating their captive alive.. so here she is on this moon with no help no wanter no food nothing but a nice dress the Kalqorians had bought her.
Poor Dani. Everyone has let her down her entire life and she is incredibly impulsive. I can totally get that. That means that she makes some stupid mistakes though, like signing up to be an indentured sex worker in a brothel, or running away from the Kalquorian clan who purchased her contract from the brothel. She knows that the Kalquorians are her enemies and destroyed Earth, even if she had fun with them, so now that she doesn't have the tracking chip on her collar around her neck, she's going to run away and find a place where Earthers can be safe. However, it doesn't work that way.
I feel for Dani and she frustrates me too. She's much more competent than the Kalquorians give her credit for at first, but that doesn't mean that she didn't run away from them and end up on a ship that was falling apart and crashed on a dangerous moon. They do take good care of her though, even when she doesn't want them too.
I thought this was a good addition to the rest of the series.
futuristic erotic romance in a series format. Has BDSM elements of mid intensity range. Haven't read previous installments of this one (mainly because of paypal) so I was a little lost understanding parts of it. Definitely engaging and held my attention. Pushed the believability factor by author creativity but she did a good job regardless. Excellent hot sexy alpha aliens created a juicy plot with a female "Earther" who could handle them. Got a little lost because of not reading previous installments which I wish could have been addressed with a prologue segment or something but still loved the book.
What is up with author promoting most disgusting things as love? Rape=love, slavery=love, abuse=caring, physical abuse=discipline, to brake someone mentally and take away their will and choices=re-education. Everything that we as human beings condemn as unacceptable is portaied as higher form of love in these books. All women are portrayed as being lucky and loved to suffer the care of Kalquorian clans.
This is not about me not liking more spicy sex scenes,to condemn those who like rough play and BDSM .I am fine with those. But rape does not equal consensual rough play.Following the authors logic all the cases of domestic abuses is deserved by woman and well in their abusers rights.Abusers get glorified and that alone is the most disgusting part of these books.
You may wonder why I keep reading if they are so bad. I want to leave my reviews as a warning for unsuspecting readers looking for their next book and my pride don't let me review anything I have not read-it would not be fair. However,I have started to skip over all the sex scenes as they are dull copies of each other without mutch imagination to set them apart.So...on the bright side, once you skip rape and abuse scenes, there are only few pages to quickly get through.
I will not rate the writing as this point. My hate for the plots don't leave an option to like anything about these stories.
I thought this was a great story. I couldn't put it down. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I was caught up in the action from the beginning. Dani is one of the humans that survived when the planet was destroyed. She makes a deal to become a sex slave because she believes that it is better than going with the Kalquorians. Gelan, Wynhod, and Krijero are on vacation when they hear about a human sex slave at a brothel. They decide to rent her services for the night. They are enthralled with her and decide to purchase her contract. She doesn't exactly want to go with them though. This starts an adventure that they never expected. Will they survive the adventure and find happiness together?
Alien Slave is a captivating, futuristic, erotic romance story. If you like science fiction, fantasy, and lots of hot alien sex, this story has it all.
As a reader, it was easy to connect with the characters. I found myself really enjoying their differences and similarities. In the beginning, the feeling you get is that the Kalquorians are so different from Earthers they couldn’t possibly be compatible. As the story progresses and the character’s pasts are revealed, it’s hard not to see that love, belonging, and feeling protected are universal things needed by all.
Dani is a young heroine that came from a privileged background. She’s made a lot of mistakes along the way trying to survive and find her own way. She shows strength and courage while still remaining vulnerable. Dani is one messed up heroine that was fun to read.
The three heroes, Gelan, Wynhod, and Krijero all have something unique to bring to the relationship that evolves between the four. It was a pleasure getting to know them as individuals and how they worked as a clan. Tracy St. John does not leave the reader wanting for an alpha male. She provided three fantastic specimens.
This is a very imaginative and descriptive story where the author has created different worlds and beings. I found it a little hard in the beginning to follow the naming of the Kalquorians. It took a while to realize that the first part of the name is actually their job description. The excerpt and cover drew me to this book, but I didn’t realize that it is number five in a series. Alien Slave reads fine as a standalone book, but I’m betting there is some back story to be had in the other books. It just makes me want to pick those up now too.
Overall, it was a great story with lots of action and a plot that kept me turning the pages. Not to mention the hot, erotic love scenes that will leave you wanting more of these characters.
It wasn't as offensive as the first book in this series. The heroine is never "forced".
After the destruction of Earth's major cities from the portal explosions, most "Earthers" hold the Kalquorians responsible.
Dani put herself into sexual slavery so she could escape life on Earth. It is a limited engagement as she only has to work until she has paid off her contract. (Which she explains is a little more than three years from the start of the story) She was the daughter of an Earth politician and was raised wealthy & privileged but not very loved. She is actually relatively pragmatic about her circumstances working in the brothel.
The Clan finds her, decides she's perfect after a couple night's "test drive" in the brothel. They buy out her contract as their sex slave. The clan hopes she will develop feelings for them and choose to "clan" with them over the course of the remainder of her contract. They start off very sweet and try to "woo" Dani, but she uses their relaxed security to try and escape. She considers them the ones responsible for the destruction of her home world. Major trust issues.
Her escape doesn't go as planned, her ship crashes killing the pilot. She is marooned on a moon with predators & another alien race known for rape & cannibalism.
Her Kalquorian guys track her to the moon and find her. Queue drama. Survival issues, bacterial infections, lots of sex in the mud, evading the pig people who want to rape and kill.
This was actually a lot less "BDSM"ish than the first one. It's erotica to be certain, but it didn't push my buttons. If you're into bondage/mastering/double-penetration, this might be for you.
Alien Slave is the fifth book in the Clans of Kalquor series. Dani is from Earth but has indentured herself as a sex slave for five years. She still has three to go. Her job isn't so bad most of the time, but when an 'oversight' means that she gets to spend time with Kalquorians when her contract says specifically that she doesn't 'do' them, her job suddenly takes an unexpected twist. Our three Kalquorans are all in law enforcement and are on vacation. They weren't expecting to see Dani, nor were they expecting the feelings that she stirred up in them.
As will all books in this series there is a lot of sex, some of it dubcon, but it is ALWAYS hot. It doesn't matter where or when, these Kalquorans have a high libido with Earther women and are certainly not shy about their intentions. Well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, this story will have you wanting success for the Kalquorans, whilst shaking your head at the stupidity of the main female. There is a reason for it, but still...
I hope we see more of this clan, as I would love to see them in their home setting, rather than in the mud. A great addition to the series, and definitely recommended by me.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *
Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! Apr 20, 2017
Book in a nutshell. Starving Earthern Dani trades herself to a brothal owner in exchange for food, shelter and evading the Kaljourians that "destroyed" her planet. Surprise surprise a Kaljourian clan on vacation decides to purchase Dani's service for a night or two. They buy her contract. She is now enslaved to them for three years. She escapes, crash lands, gets caught in quicksand mud bog, almost dies again by baterial infection, has never ending sex, caught by Tragooms, rescued yet again and eventually clanned.
This story isn't the best of the series but far from the worst. Dani is alot more open sexually than most Eartherns, she contracted to work for an Alien brothal after all. It was a good story; plenty of hot sex, some dominating/alpha sex, and plenty of action, not sexual, going on as well.
Oh dear, we are back to the sexathon! I can understand when they were in the brothel, cause it is a house of sex, but when running for your life on a swampy planet? That was over the top for me.
The sex is generally consensual, if not coerced. There is some major hot and heavy BDSM action like in previous books in the series.
The story here is really great. You really get into the head of spoiled politicians daughter Dani and see what makes her tick. She really goes through some major growth in a very short time.
This book is kind of a step away from the previous books as it does not really relate to the other stories. No real connections other than the fact they are set in the same world and have the same back story.
Still very interesting and I am excited for the next book that is a set of short stories revisiting past characters!
I have read this entire series. I like the world building. It's engaging and fascinating. Certain parts of the anatomy of the male aliens are...well a bit much. The word unnecessary leaps to mind. Still it didn't keep me from reading the entire series. This book had some short comings. It was difficult to like the female character. She was impulsive, selfish and shortsighted in addition to being a prostitute. The males rescued her from a planet and walked her for days naked while taking advantage of her off and on. I can't imagine a woman alive who might think this was sexy, if they really stopped and thought about it.
Another wonderful book of the Kalquorians. The story is about Dani, she has never had the trust and love of another person. She was very bitter about the war and what was done with Earth. It was start for her to get over her fear with the clan of Gelan, Wynhod, and Krijero. They are determined to show Dani that she is worth the love and to join their clan. They free her from her contract and then she run away from the clan. The clan find her on a planet when the her shuttle has crash and they fight for her and their survive from the planet and Tragooms that are hunting them.
Dani I was awesome in this book. I really enjoyed this alot of course it had some trying scenes but I felt it wasn't as bad as what some said about it. You have to look at the situation and of the female mc. She was a selfish, self indulgent woman who got everything she wanted from her daddy except love. The men had to be heavy handed on her so she would be able to fully open up to them. Once she_she finally realized she loved them. I felt bad for the clans indiko but he was so cute and I love hearing how the clans got together originally.
This one, for me, was the hardest read in this series. I even put this down and read other books before finishing it. I felt like it didn't really pick up until the end and the female in this book annoyed me so much! I was so annoyed with the pity party so always gave herself, and she was just dumb. I didn't like her. They guys weren't bad. I liked that they were perfect like some were in previous books in this series. For example, the Imdiko being clumsy and heavy footed. It was probably the least favorite for me in the series so far.
I usually love this series, this one didn't seem to satisfy me as much as the others. Something about it just seemed off. Maybe it was Dani, I couldn't seem to quite connect to her as I had to the others. I finished it but I really had to push myself and I was just going through the motions.Maybe it was my mood,I don't like that I didn't groove on this book, it makes me sad. This was one of my favourite series, this book let it down for me.
Ok I didn't like this book.. I did finish it but I skipped page after page.. I didn't like Dani at all !! I just didn't connect to her at all... I didn't see what the clan saw in her!! I also didn't feel her walking around for days without no clothes at all .. All the shit they went thru and she naked!! Whatever.. I only gave it 2 stars because I read clan beginnings first and really liked the story of the clan and still liked them In this book.. I can't say nothing else just not a good book!!
Definitely, my least favorite so far. I wasn't feeling Dani at all. She was too immature and selfish. I also couldn't get past all the sex in such a dangerous and hostile environment. I mean how can you want to have sex when you are hot, sweaty, covered in mud & dirt and running for your life? Maybe it is just me but nothing about that puts me in the mood.
This book was ok, Maybe a little to much testosterone for me. I still like Kalquor, I just wish we could get back to some struggle. Where's the empire in all this, what happened to the female Kalquorian from the first few books and don't tell me all the smart human females died. I need more meat in my stew.
Forced to resort to prostitution the FH has a lot of spark. Purchased by her clan she fights believing she will be discarded, as she has always been. The men prove time and time again that she is worthy of love.
