But him. Atlas, the sexy strip club owner in a neighboring town.
There's this attraction between us, one we've been dancing around for years.
I want him, but because of my past, I've been hesitant to let anyone in.
I have secrets, ones that if the wrong people knew, I could lose everything I spent years building.
When one night gives me the opportunity to have the alpha of my dreams, finding out in some ways he's just like me.
The thing is, the enchanting new male omega dancer, Jude, just so happens to be his scent match.
Atlas says that it doesn't change how he feels about me.
That Jude and his alpha, Willow, want to get to know me too.
We could be a pack. Have everything I've been afraid to allow myself to have.
But what if they find out about my secrets and run?
Or, what if they just so happen to be the perfect pack for me.
I guess I'll just have to give this a chance, see where it goes, and pray I don't get my heart broken after opening it up for the first time in my life.
The thing is, sometimes the past doesn't always stay where it should. And I think mine just might try to come back to bite me in the ass.
I just knew that when two of my favorite omegaverse authors come together yet once again, I just knew this book was going to have me wanting more even when the book was over.
I just love Briar so much. When we get a glimpse of her past, I just wanted to hug her the whole time and it makes sense why she is the way she is.
I love how Atlas and her get together when he finds her over a dead body. That had me giggling because she was like “it’s not like what it looks like” and I was dying with laughter.
I just knew I had to read it because I’m a sucker for two omegas as well as two packs joining together.
When Atlas and Jude realize their scent matches, I just love how Briar hoped that Atlas didn’t want to get rid of her. Also, I loved when she did eventually get off her scent blockers and that whole scene had me so happy for her.
I loved Jude and Willow and gosh, Willow is the sweetest alpha ever. She’s neurodivergent and just feels like her brain isn’t all there but these three make her feel like she’s perfect the way she is.
When Jude and Briar are together, these two omegas are just up to no good.
This book has a bit of darkness to it but it’s so perfect. Certain characters get their vengeance and I was all over that. I loved the ending. I hope we do get to see these characters in the future because this was the perfect way to wrap up this series.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Oh man this is a very last book of the beware the widows series and this one is by two of some of the best dark romance authors you have Jen Bullard and Alicia Williams and this is the last tale of one of the founders of the city.
We start off with Briar she is one of the survivors and we don't really hear about a lot of her throughout the book just in the last couple and she is seeing Alice who is a business owner down in the city around widow's peak and they kind of have the two or three year you know flirt but they never got serious of course the minute they do get serious what happens Atlas meets his soulmate and that is Jude and Jude has his very own girl and that's Willow now it turns out that the four of them make a heck of a group together but Secrets which is what they're all afraid of is something they each carry so now they have to kind of dance around and figure out we'll do Secrets be a problem.
Like normal of these are authors did not disappoint their spice there is heat there is a lot of getting together and even a couple fun games of you know strip Go Fish who would have thought I am so glad I got to read this whole series and I'm very sad that it's ending but it is a way to end the book series
Omeageverse Why choose MM & FF Fast burn Two couples joining together Two Alphas & two omegas
Ava (Briar) designated as an omega ten years ago. Living with her step fathers and brother, Ryan she leaves. She leaves one monster to walk into another monster, Gideon. Where she meets her best friends, the Widows of Widows Peak. She has a dark past and insists on being on blockers to hide her scent.
Atlas owns The Rusty Pipe in a town over from Widows Peak and has known Briar for a few years.
Jude (omega) is a dancer at The Rusty Pipe. He used to be a ballet dancer but after an accident stopped him from his dream. Atlas meets him at the clubs office and they become scent matches. Willow is Jude’s alpha. She is a give no crap Alpha with no filter.
Meeting Jude & Willow, Briar struggles and has fears that they aren’t her scent matches. They take care of her. The love each of the characters have for each other is amazing.
I’m sad this series has ended but looking forward to seeing what these authors have in store for future shared world books.
Briar is the last book in this shared world and it was absolutely fantastic!
Briar is the perfect combination of Jenn and Alisha's dark and twisted minds. We get a little bit of sweet but we also get dark and unhinged bloody omega. And if you are familiar with their books and how they write their FMCs, then you know.
Briar has been crushing on this super hot Alpha named Atlas who owns a club in a nearby town. Like everybody knows. Because seriously you gonna drive to another town for a drink? When your fellow omega bestie owns a club of her own in a town you founded? Like, girl. You ain't fooling no one. I absolutely love how they first get together though. It can only be a scene made up of Alisha/Jenn. This is the perfect mix of sweetness and darkness. This pack is amazing. Loved Willow who is not the stereotypical Alpha but I loved her and her personality fits in well to be a different sort of Alpha than Atlas.
I absolutely love this entire shared world. Absolutely loved all the characters. I cannot get enough. Now, I hear there's more in this world and I legit cannot wait!!
Jenn Bullard and Alisha Williams co-writes never fail to bring it all to the table!
Briar is book 6 of Beware of the Widows. The book touches on other characters from the prior books, but you can read this book as a standalone.
Briar is a dark omegaverse. Even if you like dark, check the content warnings! There are a number of topics that come up. Some are on page and some are just discussed. The omegas in this book are forged by their trauma.
The pack that comes together supports each other without judgement, they are all amazingly unhinged! I'm mean, every pack should have a hobby they enjoy together, right?!
In Briar, everyone in the pack is with everyone. The way the pack gets together, the communication, the way they are possessive and protective of each other with no jealousy between any of them, it all just works. I really loved the dates when they were getting to know each other! I usually get to the end of a book and have at least one of the main characters has a slight edge on being my favorite, not this time!
Great read!! This was sweet and spicy, emotional and funny and of course dark and unhinged!! I love when these two authors get together ❤️ I know their story is going to well written and super hard to put down.
I would consider this a really sweet book IF you skipped over the unhinged chapters…. But where’s the fun in that? 😏
This has 2 omegas and 2 alphas…..a male and female alpha and a male and female omega!!!!
Both couples have a huge secret they are worried about the other couple finding out…..😂😂 they definitely had nothing to worry about. I absolutely loved everyone in this pack!
No cheating, no OWD, no third act breakup with a HEA
* Scent Matches * MMFF / OAOA * Two MF Couples Pack Up * Unalivers ….. * All Like the Same ‘Site’ Unknowingly * Ex Ballet Dancer Turned Stripper MMC * Neurodivergent Rep * Heats / Knots / Locks & Bonds
You will definitely want to check out the TWs for this one.
I’ve read every book in this series and every single one of them have been out-freaking-standing! Briar was the cherry on top! The last of the widows to find their pack. And the wait was worth it!! Jenn Bullard and Alisha Williams did the last widow all of the justice she deserved!! I LOVED her story!!
Briar was scared just like all of the other widows, and she had every reason to be! He past, just like the other’s, had been full of bad news! But Atlas was a breath of fresh air for her. Then she met Jude and Willow and the rest of the pieces fell into place! Atlas, Willow and Jude were absolutely perfect for her! They shared all the same interests! LOL!!
This book just like the rest of the widow’s stories was amazing! I’m sad the series is complete, but I ADORED reading every single story! If you haven’t read this book, you 100% need to! As a matter of fact, do yourself a favor and read the whole series!!
This was a stabby and sexy conclusion to the Beware the Widows series. Briar, like her found sisters, has endured immeasurable trauma. Armed with blockers, she truly believes her future is one without a true connection. Her proclivities leave her to her self imposed isolation, however fate might have something up her ever meddlesome sleeve.
I really enjoyed Briar’s story and wished we’d had more pages to immerse in. The brevity made it a face-paced read; but it did lessen the depth and scope of a fuller emotional impact.
If you love a blood-thirsty heroine and some deliciously explosive chemistry, I cannot recommend this book (or series enough). As always check content warnings, and run to pick this up when it releases on June 30th.
Your heart will hurt for Briar when you learn of her past and how it shaped her future, even as she was more secure with the other Widows. The slow burn with Atlas will warm your heart and when they find out things about each other, you can not help but laugh out loud. When Jude is added in the mix and then Willow. You will be left a bit heartsick for Briar. This book will hurt your heart, make you laugh manically, and want to squeeze your kindle in joy. Alisha and Jenn sure know how to craft a book to knock it out of the park!!
I have been waiting for Briar's story, and to get the complete picture of the Widows! I really enjoyed getting to see Briar grow from her trauma, both before and due to Gideon, and become the Omega she should've been. She's strong, loyal, hilarious, and maybe slightly unhinged...but in the best way. I loved Atlas, and adding Willow and Jude made for the perfect pack. This was such a good blend of spice, romance, growth and "healing."
Briar, part of the Beware of the Widows series by Alisha Williams @alishawilliamsauthor & Jenn Bullard @author_jenn_bullard. I love both authors separately, but together? Yes, please! 🥵😍 Please read the trigger warnings!
Man oh man, what an amazing book about Briar, Atlas, Jude & Willow! Tropes: Contemporary, Omegaverse, Why Choose With MM and FF, Past Trafficking Survivor, Scent Matches, Neurodivergent FMC, Serial Unalivers, No 3rd Act Breakup & HEA!
Couple that Muder Together Stay Together. My gosh, it was like a cute murder meet cute dating in the best possible way. Atlas and his patient hand, Jude with how adorable he his with his murdery Alpha. I absolutely LOVE Willow and her ADHD shelf! And Briar herself found the mates she was always meant to be with. It’s a bittersweet moment because this is in the last book in Beware Of The Widows.
I loved the Widows so much and Briar being the last one it was very interesting, I wasn't expecting that. She is very cautious of her emotions but once she let them out holy moly did she ever and with Atlas perfection. And to make it even better Jude & Willow appear and the story becomes u hinged, careful, secrets and a whole lot of heat
Couldn't ask for a better pack. They were so perfect and I loved it.
I have followed these girls from the get go and I have been waiting inpatiently for Briars story and I was not disappointed. Briar is quiet and sweet but hiding her crazy underneath. And it made me laugh. I love that she found her pack who fit with her to a t. And they can be just as crazy which makes this even better.
This is the last installment for widows peak its about briar but of course anytime things start going well for someone the other shoue drops she starts dating atlas for him to find his scent match who has a scent match well they eventually all meet and have dark pasts they are afraid to let out.
This series the books just keep getting better and better! Briar had a traumatic omega awaken experience before coming in contact with Gideon. This book is about learning to trust again and building the perfect for you pack! (And a little revenge along the way) 5/5 ⭐️ BEST.BOOK.IN.THE.SERIES!
The final book in the Beware of the Widows series. Please check the content warnings!!! Alisha and Jenn did an amazing job with this book, I could not put it down! Trauma, tension, dark humor. The pack that murders together stays together!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The last of the Widows series, this was a good dark omegaverse. This story is about Briar, her past life and how she finds a pack and a HEA who all have a shared dark secret. Good story by Jenn and Alisha as always!
I thought this was a great way to end the series. I really liked Briar and her pack. I liked their little shared hobby. The storyline was very good. I liked the different personalities of the characters. Overall it was a really good story.
I prefer my MMCs dark. So color me surprised when this book comes along with all the st@bbiness and sweetness. This relationship develops as polyamorous and hit a home run. Briar isn't the only one with a secret.
