Eighteen years ago, the Lull Lane Dollmaker made nine families porcelain dolls as gifts to welcome their children into the world. But what these families didn't know was that souls of lullabies were poured into each one as they were created. Now, the Dollmaker is coming to collect. One by one.
Cala I've been waking up with horrible nightmares. My reality and dreams seeing to run together. In all honesty, I'm not sure what is real anymore. All I can say is all my life I've been the quiet nerd, pushed around in school. Even my parents seem distant, like I'm a disease. I like the dream world where I can live out my dark fantasies in all its bright red glory.
This was a crazy ride and I loved every second. It was interesting seeing how Lily was taking care of Cala's problematic people in her life while she was sleep. And it was interesting as Cala slowly started putting the pieces together until she finally merged completely with Lily. And those three guys chefs kiss just as nutty as she was and I loved it.
ASHES TO ASHES by CEDAR ROSE - NIGHTMARES ON LULL LANE BOOK #8
⚠️ THIS BOOK IS FULL OF TRIGGERS⚠️ Make Sure You Tread Carefully If You Have Them
Why Choose Burning alive Parental death Parental murder Cutting of appendages Bullying Revenge Possession Sexual Assault (off scene) Voyeurism Grape (off scene) Use of a sword Public sex Exhibitionism Group sex scenes
CHILD/TEEN - Cala DOLL - Cala Lily THREE SHADOWS - Daze, Peck and Hunter
PARENTS - ????
“Ashes To Ashes, We All Fall Down”
In this book, we are introduced to Cala, a character who is the child of... (Once again, the parents aren't named, which is frustrating since their roles feel important!) Cala suffers from intense bullying throughout her school years.
Her troubles escalate after she finds a forgotten doll later in life. Her mother initially lied, claiming she'd simply forgotten about it, but ever since the doll reappeared, Cala has been plagued by terrifying nightmares and unexplained physical symptoms.
The novel sets up a great mystery regarding Cala’s possession:
“I wake up with bruises that I can’t explain. This morning I found my back all scratched up. I’m losing my mind, I think. Or it might be stress. Yeah, let's go with stress.”
This leads me to a few specific questions that bothered me as I read. If the Doll (Cala's "other half") is taking control to enact these horrific actions, especially the erotic horror elements, why is Cala only concerned about scratches and bruises? Wouldn't she also have the physical feelings of having sex? And, as a logical extension, with the men "coming in her," what about the very real possibility of pregnancy? My mind always goes to these specifics when a story presents such intense situations!
I also wanted to know the answer to this question mentioned in the book:
“It feels weird to talk to a voice in my head. The guys never explained how they knew I was possessed by a doll, but that’s a story for another day.”
Crossovers and Confusions:
I absolutely loved all the crossovers in this book. The mention of Belinda from book #5 and especially Briar from book #4 was great! However, this crossover created a point of confusion for me that I hope others can clarify. Briar was a notorious bully, so when exactly did Cala stick up for her? Briar, of all people, would never have needed anyone to come to her defense like, EVER!
Cala’s own internal monologue adds to this confusion:
“I mean I never confront bullies, except one time when I stuck up for Briar Hartley, but that was a one time thing. But today? That wasn’t me, no, that was someone else. It felt good though.”
Final Verdict:
This book is a definite must read! It perfectly balances the right amount of gore, erotic horror, and that wonderful sense of "WTF did I just read!?
The way the Doll, who we learn is named Cala-Lily, ensured that every last person who picked on Cala met their maker was pure gold. Her dedication to revenge is thrilling:
“This is what I live for, protecting Cala and enacting revenge on all the assholes who think they can fuck with my girl.”
The only thing missing is the crucial detail of the parents' names and roles. Since the first book named those surrounding the main characters, it would be wonderful to know what part Cala’s parents played in the larger narrative.
I LOVED this one. I need three "Shadows" of my own! 😩🖤
*I RECEIVED AN ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW… MY OPINION IS MY OWN 🖤
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Cala, has an alter ego and it seems to have appeared when she found a doll in her closet. Lily takes over when Cala is asleep and gets up to all sorts of mischief (I say this tongue in cheek) she is a law unto herself and goes off deleting men who have done wrong by Cala. Her three men tag along aiding and abetting Lily but they also protect Cala too.
A great little why choose quick read, with spicy scenes and maybe a tad of bl00d and vengeance 🤭A little different from the other, but kept me turning the pages.
Ashes to Ashes is dark, dirty, and dangerously addictive. Cedar Rose really said “let’s make horror hot,” and I was so here for it. Cala and Cala Lily are a double dose of power and chaos, and the triple threat of Daze, Peck, and Hunter? Whew. A full-course meal. This one burned slow, bit hard, caused complete chaos, and left me wanting more. Loved it!!!
I ate this tf up 😩 I loved how it went from Cala to Cala Lily, and the slow descent to madness, it was truly *chefs kiss* the spice and why choose aspect? helloooo??? I need more of them please!!! Atp I'm getting impatient for the last book (that's on me tho lmao).
They're so supportive, Cala/Cala Lily's three men, like they had no questions and just went right in with learning how to dispose of bodies and shit, honestly so cute of them. We love a supportive man 💅🏼
The writing style, dialogue, everything was so wonderful and I loved it. However I did have some questions that weren't answered which DID leave me confused and the explanation with the MMCs felt rushed, but I'm going to be patient and see if they're answered in the last book.
Some of the questions I was left with (this is coming from someone that takes things very literal and on the point, these questions may also be answered later but this my first thoughts):
-In See How They Run (which featured Briar) it was implied that Cala and Briar didn't get along and that Briar was the "Queen Bee" of the high school. In this book, Cala and Briar appeared to be civil/friends and Cala stuck up FOR Briar rather than defend the people that Briar bullied like it was said in S.H.T.R. I was confused on what happened with their relationship dynamic?
-In Pop Goes The Weasel [....] it seemed like the kids that had the Dolls couldn't go near each other due to an invisible force during their senior year, but in this one Briar, Belinda, and Cala were able to be close enough so they associated. Was this in the beginning of the year before things kicked off orrrr?
-How exactly did Cala/Cala Lily's men know she was possed by a doll?
Aside from those three questions, this was a wonderful story and while confusing at first everything did get answered. 4/5 started read for SURE and I cant wait to have the physical copy (should that become available)
Holy Spicy Fire Bug!!!! Y'all this is the spiciest story by far holy HoTt Tamales!!! Cala-Lily, Hunter, Daze, and Peck do not leave us wanting in that department at all in this story and then once Cala comes around lort have mercy y'all they make us all need Jesus.... But I was all here for it as y'all know hehehe And yes y'all definitely read that right Cala and her Dolly Lily ( Cala-Lily ) as she calls herself; has 3 big hott sexy Shadow men. And they like to watch Cala and Lily play with Fire in the most unhinged and twisted ways and the 5 some likes to play mind games as well but to see what tricks they get up to you need to go check out this Amazing Spicy Unhinged Story. But check them triggers as always y'all
Omg I ate this book up in a day, definitely one of my favorites in this shared world series thus far. Maybe it’s because this book had revenge but it also bought the spice which I always enjoy! I lovedddddddd Cala and Lily’s story so much. Throw in the ‘why choose’ trope with these three men and I was immediately hooked! Love that Lily helped take care of everyone that wronged Cala over the years, and that she always had her Shadows (Hunter, Peck, and Daze) to clean up her messes along the way. I can’t wait to see what the other dolls bring!
Cala is another child with a special doll, hers is named Lily. Cala has been having weird dreams and feelings since finding the doll. What she soon realizes is that Lily takes over her body and has started to get revenge on her bullies. Peck, Hunter and Daze know about Lily and help her clean up the aftermath. Cala and Lily come together and get their revenge as well as Savannah's.
Ashes to Ashes wastes no time letting you know exactly what kind of ride you’re on. The first ten pages alone set the tone with Chad—a certified creep—meeting a swift and savage end by stabbing followed by being burned alive. From that moment on, the book never eases up. This installment is fueled by rage, revenge, and fire, and it might be one of the most relentless entries yet.
Cala is at the center of the chaos, and she’s no longer acting alone. She has three henchmen—Daze, Peck, and Hunter—helping her orchestrate increasingly cruel and symbolic punishments. Each kill feels tailored, personal, and dripping with poetic vengeance. The targets are not random; they’re people who humiliated, violated, or tormented her, and the book makes sure you understand exactly why each of them is on the list.
Brad is next, another pervert who circulated photos of Cala changing at school. His death escalates the brutality significantly, especially when he’s paired with Dorian, a notorious womanizer who believes he’s entitled to women’s bodies. Cala’s revenge here is graphic and deliberate—Brad loses “little Brad” first, and Dorian’s punishment includes the removal of his hands by sword. It’s extreme, but it’s also very on-brand for this series: cruelty matched with cruelty. Rachel, who once cut Cala’s hair and mocked her, is forced to pay tenfold for that humiliation. Matthew, who assaulted Cala after she rejected him at prom, meets an equally vicious end. All four of them ultimately die together in a literal explosion—because when this book says “go big or go home,” it means pop goes the dynamite.
The book doesn’t stop there. Carly and Heidi have their heads shaved as punishment for shaming another girl, reinforcing the book’s recurring theme of mirrored humiliation. Tom’s death via flamethrower keeps the fire motif burning strong. Then we reach Aunt Helen and her daughter Stephanie, whose warehouse deaths—firecrackers and stabbing—are especially disturbing, marking a shift where Cala’s morality fully collapses. One of the most unsettling aspects of Ashes to Ashes is Cala’s deteriorating mental state. The intrusion of Lily, the demonic doll, blurs the line between Cala’s will and possession. You’re left questioning how much of the violence is Cala’s revenge and how much is Lily completely taking over her body to finish the slaughter.
The final acts are deeply personal. Cala finds her father in a grimy hotel, leaves him overnight like discarded trash, and then kills him with a knife and flamethrower. The last kill—her mother—is the most symbolic and emotionally charged. Removing her eye with a heel and stabbing her in the heart “she didn’t have” is a brutal, bitterly poetic ending that ties Cala’s trauma directly back to its origin.
Overall, Ashes to Ashes is vicious, unflinching, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. This book is soaked in fire, blood, and fury, and it marks a point where revenge fully consumes the protagonist. Check your triggers before diving in—this one doesn’t just cross lines, it burns them to the ground. 🔥🩸

what a quick fun little spicy read! i couldn't wait until later to begin reading after finishing the last book! i am utterly obsessed with this one too! an easy 4.75⭐️!!
i was slightly confused in the beginning but then got the OHHH moment again! and i absolutely loved every second of this story! it's perfect!! cala & lily are my favourite little power couple! they are such a joy to read! i feel like the constant nods to eyes has a meaning & it almost feels like it's part of the sub plot too me,maybe cala's parents just watched on and didn't do anything & this is why she is getting revenge? this is the perfect feminine rage story, with her boys to support her!! the style of writing is so good to me! i loved how quickly we could get through this and although short i really do feel like it added a great deal to the story as a whole!!
characters?? 4.5⭐️ cala,lily.. the three boys! the first why choose in the series and they all written so good! i only deducted half a point because i wanted more of these characters! i'd read a full length story any day!! cala coming into her own (ifykyk) was the best part of the story, and i was so so happy for her! seeing her grow from strength to strength, urgh it makes me emotional! her boys too, they are SWEETHEARTS & i would love more from cala and her boys & im NOT a why choose girlie so let that be a message as to how good this is🥹
plot?? 4.5⭐️ such a good fast paced plot,we jumped STRAIGHT in with this one! in the best! it is SO GOOD! i think fast paced really fits for this novella! it doesn't give much world building and i would love to know who cala's parents were but at the same time,it's so refreshing to breeze right through! all spice low plot for this one!
spice + gore?? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ + 🩸🩸🩸 she is SPICY! the spiciest of the stories.. the most erotic of the erotic horrors i guess you could say? but in the best way! a why choose will never fail to impress you on the spice front! it has your watching in the shadows, the angry lust filled, the passionate.. it has it all, truly! and the gore?? the EYEBALLS had me! it's safe to say cala likes eyeballs💀 but tbh im a bit squirm'y when it comes to eyes but i wasn't actually grossed out in this one! it fits so good with the story and the anger.. and honestly i feel like the eyes have more of a meaning like a hidden meaning.
overall??? 4.75⭐️ i loved this! a short little spicy read to add to the beautiful storyline of the nightmares on lull lane,i'm nearing the end now and i don't wanna be done with it! i am LOVING this series so so much!! cedar rose is definitely up there with an author i will definitely read again,i LOVE their style and the why choose way of writing! definitely checking them out more now!!
🖤 𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓲𝓮𝔀🖤 You know the book is going to be great when it opens on a brutal kill scene that is sure to make men groan in agony while reading. This is the eighth book in the Nightmare on Lull Lane series and the spice has finally rolled it's way back to the series in the most heated way possible. Now, this may be a first time read by Cedar Rose but definitely won't be my last based on the overall plot, combined with the lovely doses of smut and gore.
*spoilers*
Cala is your typical girl. Minds her own business. Goes to school and comes home. She has often noticed the other students around school feeling unlike themselves and wonders why they are acting up. Unbeknownst to her, she has another side of herself that is the polar opposite. Unlike being quiet and unnoticed, her other self wants to be the center of attention.
But this other self has a manic side to them. One that likes to kill alongside her trio of men that devour her, even knowing the hard truth of who she really is. One by one, she murders the ones closest to her parents, who were involved with the incident with Savannah all those years back. But whatever her sinister side does, Cala assumes it's just dreams she's having until the news brings forth the bodies that have been appearing all over town. Until her other half makes itself known, having her realize the reasons behind why she had to kill all those people centered around her life.
The connection between her men and the way they treat her even knowing that she has an unhinged side to her is swooning. They will protect her at all cost and also clean up after her little messes. It's all connected in the same universe as she also has a doll that has been pulling the strings since her eighteenth birthday and towards the end, she ends up leaving her guys to meet up when she is called.
This is the perfect combination of splatter and smut that you will simply dive into this novella without stopping, well up until you reach the end. The spice was heavy and heated. Her relationship with her men was fire. I really wouldn't mind reading more about this little group. But the best part is, the series doesn't stop there. It continues into the next book. If this is my introduction to the author, Im more than happy to add another selection of hers to my ever growing TBR list.
Shut the f*cking door! This one came through on full throttle! SHEESH! I was gasping and clutching my pearls on CH 1! 🤣
This was a full-throttle descent into madness, grief, and unholy desire. Cala’s arc is brutal and brilliant—she starts off fractured but determined, and by the end? She’s scorched earth in human form. The story doesn’t just lean into horror—it inhales it. Every chapter peels back another layer of her psyche, revealing how deeply the Dollmaker’s legacy has embedded itself in her soul.
Her protectors—Hunter, Peck, and Daze—aren’t just bodyguards. They’re anchors in the chaos, each bringing a different kind of tension, loyalty, and emotional complexity. Their dynamic with Cala adds layers to the story: trust, betrayal, and the kind of devotion that feels earned through blood and fire.
Then there’s Lazriel. Possessive, enigmatic, and deeply tied to Cala’s unraveling. Their connection is twisted, intimate, and laced with danger. The possession scenes? Unholy and unforgettable. The romance? Toxic, tragic, and weirdly tender in all the wrong ways.
The magic system is emotionally charged—every power comes with pain, memory, and consequence. The suspense never lets up, and the horror is both visceral and poetic. You’ll flinch, you’ll swoon, and you’ll probably scream into a pillow. This book delivers: 🔥 A heroine who refuses to be saved 🩸 Murder and mystery with dreamlike horror 🕯️ Possession scenes that blur pleasure and pain 💔 Emotional gut-punches that linger 🧠 Magic that’s more curse than gift
If you’re into morally gray chaos queens, haunted legacies, and spice that bites back—this one’s a must-read.
Disclaimer. This book was sent to me at no cost in exchange for an honest review. The below review is still my honest thoughts
This one ALMOST hit the mark! But I'm still giving it 4 stars though because it comes down mostly to just my personal preferences. The characters had a lot of chemistry And it was a fun crazy read. The story kept taking a lot of turns in a good way that was still easy to follow. My only qualms with this were I wish there was a little more focus on plot structure. The plot was there, definitely, and it was a good plot, but I felt like it could be been organized slightly better and been a little more detailed. The story kicks off right away, no background into her family life until later in the book. I felt like I didn't get a chance to get to know the main character until she was already possessed by her doll. But again that's just personal preference. Some people like the set up of backstory being explained by someone filling in the character on their past that they don't remember. And I get why. I just feel like a different structure would have made it flow better with the other books. I also felt like the deaths could have been a little more detailed/longer. A lot of them were quick (but definitely not painless) deaths. However, points for creativity on said deaths! All around this was a super fun read and I would 100% read this again for when I want something quick and exciting! Well done!
Now this one, I adored it. This series continues to be absolutely impeccable, and Ashes to Ashes proves just how versatile and intentional this world really is.
This installment feels different from the rest, softer, quieter in places, but don’t be fooled. There’s still unaliving, still revenge simmering under the surface, still that sharp edge that makes this series what it is.
What truly stole the spotlight, though, was Lily/Cala, two sides of the same soul, fractured and surviving. That duality? Delicious. Watching her exist between softness and fire, innocence and wrath, was intoxicating. I loved every second of it.
And the shadows… oh, the shadows. Consider me officially converted to the reverse harem trope because this is how you do it. Protective, devoted, lethal in all the right ways, and the way they take care of their girl? Cleaning up her midnight messes, standing guard in the dark, loving her without trying to cage her. Honestly, what woman wouldn’t want that kind of devotion lurking in the shadows?
This book carries a strange tenderness beneath the blood and bones, and it made me ache for these children, for Lily, for Savannah, for all of them. They’ve been through hell, and I’m desperately hoping the end of this series gives them the happiness and peace they so deeply deserve.
Do yourself a favor and read this series. It grips you, haunts you, and refuses to let go. And now, off to the next one, because I need to know how this all ends.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I just finished this book, and it’s twisted, bloody, and truly dark. The story keeps a strong, intense rhythm from beginning to end, and it definitely delivers on the gore, the horror, and the revenge.
That said, there are a few inconsistencies that stood out to me. For example, Cala’s connection with Briar feels odd, and we barely know anything about the parents — which is something I’ve missed in many of the books in this series. Since the whole plot revolves around Savannah’s revenge against them, I wish we had more insight into who they were, what kind of relationship they had with her, and how they were involved in what happened. That would have made the story hit even harder.
Even though I couldn’t fully connect with the story or the characters, the book itself is solid, it has everything it needs: a dark, violent atmosphere, a strong plot, and constant tension.
⭐ 4 stars — good book, just didn’t fully click with me personally.
⸻
Note: Attention, this is not a standalone book. It must be read as part of the Nightmares on Lull Lane series. The first book is The DollMaker.
I also want to thank all the authors so much for the opportunity to read this book.
Trigger Warnings: This is not a dark romance. The book contains strong and heavy triggers. Please read the warnings before starting. This is not a book for everyone.
Ashes to Ashes is book eight of the Nightmares of Lull Lane, written by Cedar Rose. There are 11 books in this series; aside from the first and last books, they can be read in any order. They are standalones, but they do refer back to a central plot established in book one. All the books in the series are horror, and some may edge toward splatterpunk. All of the books are considered novellas. I love this concept a lot and look forward to reading the entire series!
In Ashes to Ashes, we meet Cala and her alter ego, Cala Lily. When Cala is asleep, Cala Lily comes to play, but she isn’t alone! She has three more than willing men to help her cause chaos and clean up the mess! Cala Lily laid down the law and took care of those that have wronged Cala. Revenge, mayhem, murder, and why choose?! Yup. Sign me up!
This fast-paced, spicy gore was just what I needed today! I am loving this series and its erotic horror and splatterpunk vibes. I can’t get enough! If you want something to sink your teeth into, this series is definitely it! Rose does a fantastic job keeping me engaged and flipping these pages! I wanted more more more!
Thanks to Cedar Rose for gifting me an eARC of Ashes to Ashes. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
⚠️ Be sure to check the trigger warnings before diving in — you’ve been warned! ⚠️
Ashes to Ashes by Cedar Rose is book eight in the Nightmares on Lull Lane series, and it had me on the edge of my seat turning pages late into the night. It’s dark, steamy, and fast-paced—everything I wanted and more. The writing is sharp, the tropes hit perfectly, and the revenge plot and characters were executed beautifully.
After finding the doll hidden in her closet, Cala can’t tell if her flashbacks are dreams or memories. While Cala sleeps, Lily comes out to play—wreaking havoc on everyone who’s wronged her, with her three shadows, Hunter, Peck, and Daze, cleaning up the mess. But as Cala begins uncovering the truth and accepting it, she decides to join in on the fun.
Cala, Lily, and The Shadows were the perfect team for Savannah’s Revenge. I loved how Lily (the doll) balanced her thirst for revenge for both Savannah and Cala. Cala and her three shadows bring both heat and horror to this story. The spice? Chef’s kiss. The gore? Disturbing in the best possible way.
Overall, I absolutely loved this dark, delicious ride — and I can’t recommend it enough.
Thank you Cedar Rose for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Rose does not waste a single heartbeat. This novella opens mid-scream and doesn’t stop thrashing until the final page. It’s a blood-slicked fever dream masquerading as a 90s coming-of-age flick… if that flick were written by Lucifer himself and scored by Hole (cue Make Me Over).
We follow our doll Lily as she takes the stage in a symphony of vengeance, balancing the scales not just for Savannah but also for her ward, Cala. And for those reading the full collection, we even get a pre-“queen bitch era” cameo from our girl Briar — a haunting little gift before the crown and carnage claimed her.
Imagine Jawbreaker meets Jennifer’s Body, but swap the glitter for grave dirt and throw in a reverse harem of demon-kissed lovers who blur the line between salvation and sin. Each kill is art. Each scream, a hymn.
There isn’t a single soft edge to this novella; all teeth, viscera, and unholy satisfaction. For my RH readers who like it filthy, fast, and dripping with righteous gore: Ashes to Ashes not only serves vengeance hot and ready like Little Cesar’s… it seduces it.
OMFG! Where do I even start?!? Ashes to Ashes is the eighth book in the Nightmares on Lull Lane shared world series and follows Cala and her demon doll Lily. Multiple people close to Cala‘s parents begin to turn up de@d and Cala feels like she’s played a part in each of their unalivings, but her memories are fragmented and she can’t prove it. As the story progresses, Cala embraces and become one with her dark side and begins to willingly take part in carrying out Sav‘s revenge. This is also a why choose dark romance with three men who stand by Cala and are addicted to her dark side. The spice was top notch and the horror was imaginative. Gotta love a good blow torch scene! Overall, Ashes to Ashes was an incredible continuation to the series and I hope to see more of Cala‘s men.
Dark Dreams, Deadly Desires, & The Shadows That Burned It All Down
Besties... "Ashes to Ashes" by Cedar Rose had me in a chokehold! Cala and her three twisted shadows: Daze, Hunter, and Peck—brought the heat and the horror. Think Satan’s Affair but if Siggy’s henchmen crawled straight out of a blood-soaked fever dream. The spice? Chef’s kiss. The gore? Deliciously disturbing. The corny jokes sprinkled in by Daze? Weirdly comforting between all the carnage.
That said, it needed more. The novella format made it feel like we only got a taste of what could’ve been an all-you-can-scream buffet. I wanted more world-building, more depth, more Cala Lily and The Shadows. But for an erotic horror snack? This one’s filthy, freaky fun you won’t forget.
Cala and the the men that protect her with all of their brutte size and affection. Everything around Cala has always been lacking in love until he the men just start appearing at school, for breakfast Cala thinks at first it's just a coincidence until.... here comes Lilly she is not one that takes Cala's loveless life with ease nor the trespasses in which she has experienced.
Lily needs to give retribution for Savanna, which will happen! But in the process of that, it's time to truly let these people know to never hurt Cala again!
This book may have been my favorite! So far... it has a newly formed reverse love trio that Cala didn't quite realize for a while, has revenge on multiple levels, still maintains Savanna's story line, an alter ego that leads to watch things burn, and some beautiful men who love to clean up after the mess was made, all just to take care of their woman!
I need more of their story, it can't be over just yet?...
Well first off I'm always sold on a why choose, but this was so much MORE than I was hoping for. We meet Cala, who seems like your average girl, however Cala started to develop a second personality around the same time she received a porcelain doll. Meet Lily, who takes over as Cala's second personality when she goes to sleep. Lily is chaos and she LIVES to seek revenge on the "men" who do wrong by Cala. But Lily doesn't act alone, no Lily has not one, not two , but THREE hot men that tag along and protect Cala. Hunter, Peck, and Daze are hot as hell and everything you could ever need. Why choose indeed. I think the most intriguing aspect of this Cala's story is that very slowly she started piecing together information and realized what was happening. The full merge into Cala Lily was so well done and just perfection. I was so into this book the whole time and I just need more of it! I am so hooked on this series and I cannot wait to see how it all wraps up together in book !!
Oh. My. Shadow Boys! What happens when you mix revenge, late night killings, and three guys who like the shadows? A fire erotica horror that will have you wishing you were the child of one of Savannah’s victims!
Ashes to Ashes is book 8 of the Nightmares of Lull Lane series. Where Savannah’s revenge continues. It is hands down my favourite so far in the series! Cala, girl! She may be the shy nerd but she sure is fire! (You’ll get the pun when you read it😂). I love how you never know what to expect with the dolls and how they approach each family. Cala’s doll took on a more protective roll while slowly working her toward welcoming her dark side to enact Savannah’s revenge on her parents and of course it was bloody! The deserve nothing less for what they did!
Honestly the only negative thing I have to say is that it wasn’t longer!
Wow! It kept me on the edge! I love it! I could not put this down!
The story is getting more exciting.. I can't wait to dive into book 9!
Cala found a doll in her closet and her life started to change in ways she never thought it would. Her parents never gave a care about her and when she pulls them up on it all she gets is the iconic phase, 'I'm sorry let me fix it'. But is that enough for Cala to forget the past?
Lily loves to get into mischief and she brings Cala into that. Maybe for good or for bad?
The ending! I was not expecting it to end like that! Like why!!! 🤣
The gore and heat in the book is everything!! This is a MUST read.
You MUST read The Dollmaker by Ashlynn first as it's how it all starts.
