In a chaotic world where survival means confronting painful truths and loyalty is the difference between life and death, the Death Dwellers MC is more ruptured than ever. Following Rule’s betrayal, the Caldwell family is forced to overcome another brush with death. Rebel’s bond with Diesel and growing feelings for Kaia test both relationships. Club life is sucking CJ in deeper, despite his longing to please his mother.
In the face of her own turmoil, Megan tries to hold them together, while Christopher’s fear of losing the one person who means most to him manifests in explosive ways. Adding to the tension is the fractured loyalties the club continues to grapple with, the flames of division stoked by the Death Dweller’s very own Vice President.
Kendall attempts to rectify her husband’s numerous misdeeds, but the perilous secrets and looming threats may prove impossible to conceal.
Ruptured is a gripping tale of survival, betrayal, and redemption, set against a backdrop of danger and conflict where every decision carry weight and consequences.
I am slowly but surely learning to manage my time more effectively and getting back to writing and connecting with everyone. I'm not completely there yet, but it is slowly coming together. Misled and Misappropriate have been updated with additional chapters and POVs from a couple more characters. Both books have about 30,000 more words and new covers. I have new covers for all the books in the series. Recently Misled placed first in the Mystery, Suspense, and Thriller category on Chick Lit Cafe. The paperback will also be included in an upcoming Reveal Book Box. While working on Reckless, I am also updating the text in the original series. About Reckless - It will be filled with death and destruction, as usual. However, I will admit to being slightly shocked myself at some of the turn of events taking place. I have restarted my newsletter with a new name, KatChats. Until the end of the year, I plan to send it out weekly because of all the news I have to share. After that, I will switch to monthly. I also have a new website. It should be online in a couple of days once the domain transfer completes. I also have a website dedicated to the Death Dwellers. It is still in its early stages, but it is live: https://deathdwellersmc.com. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please send them my way.
Kathryn C. Kelly is a New Orleans native who has called southeast Texas home since 2005. She had intended to travel the world but always return to her beloved New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina had other plans. She is the mother of three beautiful daughters and the daughter of one gorgeous mother whose footsteps she followed in by becoming a writer. Kathryn is the former owner and editor of Inside Rose Rich Magazine. She and her mother have been published by Jove Books as Christine Holden. The books have long been out of print but they got the rights back to the five novels and have plans to re-release them soon. Kathryn is a cancer survivor. In 2010, she felt a small lump in her breast. In 2015, at the urging of her mother, she went in for her bi-yearly mammogram and was diagnosed with Stage 2b/3a HER2 positive breast cancer. On November 30, 2016, she rang the bell. During her treatment, she was also diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome. In 2013, Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell introduced himself to Kat in the most cliché way ever. He came to her in a dream. After the inauspicious meeting, he planted himself in her mind and the motherf...the gentleman hasn't left yet. In what was only supposed to be one book about the fictitious Death Dwellers MC, Outlaw has become a source of amusement, a well of frustration, and a bone of contention between Kat and one of her daughters. She is hard at work on Reckless, the book that will bridge the OGs with a new generation of Death Dwellers. Her work has been included in several anthologies and she is looking forward to other upcoming single title releases, including Savage Suit from the Cocky Hero Club World created by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. She is a former RWA member. She also served as Vice President for the SOLA chapter of RWA. She is a New Orleans Saints fan, but roots for the Texans, the Rockets, and the Coogs (U of H) as long as they aren't playing any Louisiana teams. She loves champagne and sparkling wine. One day, she will try Snoop's brand. She still loves Chivas Regal but had a chance to taste Sassenach Scotch. A #lifegoal is to one day buy herself an entire bottle and keep it all for herself. In her head, she is a biker babe with a Harley in her garage, waiting for her to hit the road. In reality, she has yet to hop on a bike and ride. She loves Cards Against Humanity, has very strong opinions that she keeps to herself, has to take her time to talk in public so nothing untoward pops out, and always strives to see the best in people and in life.
RUPTURED is the sixth instalment in Kathryn C Kelly’s contemporary, adult DEATH DWELLERS MC: Legacy Generation, dark, MC series set in the author’s Death Dweller’s MC world. RUPTURED, like the previous instalments, continues to focus on the multi-generational membership in the Death Dwellers MC. Most of the original couples and characters from the Death Dwellers MC series play significant roles in the current timelines. I recommend reading the original series as well as RECKLESS book one of The Legacy Generation as many of the past events are referenced. Many of the characters are under sixteen years of age, the series is intended for mature readers only.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise including graphic violence, strong language and questionable themes, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from several omniscient third person perspectives RUPTURED , once again, focuses on the broken and deteriorating dynamics of not only the Caldwell family (Megan, Christopher and their eight children) but the dysfunctional Death Dwellers MC. Covering but a few days in the life, RUPTURED continues to focus on Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell, president of the Death Dwellers MC, and his fragile control over his family, his MC, and the people in his life. His love for his wife Meggie blinds him to the reality of what is happening, and at every level, Christopher confronts betrayal from outside and within. As his own children begin to lose respect, and take on a more pivotal role in his MC world, family will betray family, as a fight for power continues to build behind the scenes. Sins of the past are about to expose the truth as Meggie and their daughter Rebel, fight for their lives, betrayed by someone they love. Once again, accusations, perceived infidelity, abuse, violence and death are but an everyday part of the Death Dwellers MC and Christopher is unable to protect the people he loves.
Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of questionable, contentious, dubious and unpleasant characters as someone undertakes to gain control; destroy family and friendships, for the sake of past betrayals, secrets and lies. The characters are tragic, demeaning, controversial and catastrophic-lives, psyches and minds will be damaged-deadly intent is meant to wreak havoc on Christopher’s thread-bare control.
RUPTURED is a dark, gritty, dramatic and edgy story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, violence and fear, accusations and suspicion. The character driven premise is raw, unconventional, twisted and tragic-the language is graphic, forceful and may be offensive to some readers ; the characters are brutal, deviant, broken and haunting.
I WANT TO... hug CJ kick Digger in the baby maker hug Mort hug Harley (it's been while since i wanted to do that) kick Ghost in the baby maker kick Johnnie in more than the baby maker... maybe some stomp stomp too (learning from Rebel) hug Kendall (whew, never saw that coming) fist bump the triplets (from a safe distance of course) cuddle Jo and Gunner hug Ryan and Rory then give them a good smack upside the back if their heads Shake Bailey Shake Rebel after hugging her, then hug her again if she's not feeling violent after the shaking part Stomp Outlaws foot, without his boots on because duh it would hurt me more Shake Stretch and Ophelia More hugs for Meggie, Val, Puff, Digger's woman, Doc Pray heavily for Rule
I NEED MORE... Roxy and Grant... not sure about Knox, have a love hate relationship with that man. Snooty little mofo BUT he loves his woman so
I AM SO OVER... Rebel and Diesel Gypsy and her stupid man, he's not worth mentioning Digger's blatant disregard and disrespect for his family Everyone's freaking SECRETS!! and suffering in silence! GRRR
I have no idea what to do with... BASH (hated him until I just read that other series he had more than a cameo in. I found myself softening to the crazy man! and no idea why or how)
okay that's all i can think of. Obviously she's got me in all the feels and has since the first book!!!
I am never disappointed by this series, surprised quite often but never disappointed. One of those is how much I love Kendall now when I hated her for so long, now it’s her husband I hate, I used to love Cash and that whole MMF thruple but the way he sees his son differently to Winnie now and the way he talks to Fee now is disappointing but so is him siding with Johnny. Mort is the voice of reason, his wife has lost the plot, for a therapist she lacks empathy for anyone in her personal life, Harley is on the edge of a breakdown, Digger is on the edge of death and or divorce, Bunny is not going to put up with much more surely. Diesel is playing a dangerous game playing with both Rebel and Jana’s feelings. Bash is still set on taking Meggie, Molly is clinging on to life, her sanity is gone . CJ is questioning his future and his place in the club . THAT video that Kendal had put on to a disc is watched by the officers and future officers… no one was prepared for that, Rule is in a facility to help him, Axle bought himself a megaphone!!! Seriously funny as is the sling shot moment. What the hell is Gypsy doing with Rory? I can’t wait for the next book to get the answers and probably more questions
Let me start by saying that if you haven’t read the books before this one, start at Reckless and go from there. Now I have that out of the way, let me just say that I honestly didn’t want this book to end. I had some amazing laugh out loud moments compliments of Kendall. I really wanted to message Kathryn and beg her to kill off Johnnie and Digger because they are both such assholes and they deserve some retribution, it’s a shame that she wouldn’t do it for me though. This book is everything, the character’s storyline’s are so incredibly written, it just draws you in and keeps you wanting more and more, I loved the original series but this second generation is brilliant! The kids are trying to find their way in life and if that isn’t hard enough they also have to reconcile the drama that goes on with their parents. I seriously can’t get enough of this series and I highly recommend you read this book and I give it 5/5 stars 🌟
Ruptured is book 6 in the Death Dwellers next gen bridge series. I have loved the Death Dwellers since the OG series and the bridge series just keeps getting better and better. What I love about the world Kathryn C. Kelly has created is that it is not only gritty, funny and a little OTT but the family dynamics continue to shift and change as both OG characters and the next gen get older. The author doesn't forget the details of her original books and none of the changes feel out of place. There are characters we hated (Kendall) in the OG series who we now love and characters we at least liked who we now hate (Johnnie). There are characters who have matured in ways we didn't expect (Megan) but make sense for the world she lives in.
I highly recommend this installment of the series. This is not a stand alone. I would also recommend reading at least the first few books in the OG series to enhance your reading experience. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Holy smokes, this book is absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end and sitting on the edge of your seats! I was so blown away by Meggie girl, and you all know im not a fan of jonh Boy or crazy Kendall dang roles reversed on them .she is wearing his balls and banning together with Meggie who would of thought that would happen? omg plus you got Ransom, Ryder, Axel who livr to make bombs watch out for these three who are not playing around lol. I absolutely loved them and poor cj still hurts my heart. I want him happy as well as Rebal but we will have to wait and see what happens next. outlaw needs to get his club back in shape and start being a leader and get rid of the bad eggs. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
The next generation of Death Dwellers MC continue facing their own dilemmas, the danger continues to tighten its net. As strong and capable as some of them are proving to be, this book brings home to roost the sins of the original members. Yet again it's down to Christopher/Outlaw to step back into his seat of power if anyone is going to survive the latest threat to the freedoms his club fought hard to achieve.
I felt an emotional rollercoaster as the youngest members prove to circle and miss the key to being a strong brotherhood. Band together, tell Outlaw everything and keep Meggie safe. Their parents fight for a better life is failing to keep them safe and my relief at the survival of Meggie and Rebel is tenuous as the Scorpions manipulate and infiltrate their fractured club family.
I would really have liked to give 5 stars but I needed a solution to at least one of the plotlines that have me on tenterhooks before my head bursts in frustration. I can do angst, I can do bleak but I am so ready for at least one of the men endangering Meggie to be eliminated.
Really looking forward to seeing how it all pans out.
Received an ARC copy but am reviewing this voluntarily.
I have been reading about Outlaw and Megan since the beginning and with every book I get dragged deeper into their world. I absolutely love their stories ❤️❤️❤️ Every brother and Old Lady as well as all their children’s lives are so wild and far from the norm that you can’t help cheering for them all to succeed. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
Is anyone surprised this was another 5star read? Not me! The sun rises and sets on Outlaw! Seriously, he is my favorite fictional character. With that being said, when he is being ‘Christopher’, I really want Bash to give him a good beating to remind him of what he has overcome. Why can’t he see what’s happening before it happens? Outlaw ALWAYS sees it, knows it, and is 5 steps ahead. So, please, please, Outlaw tell Christopher to ‘hold my beer’, and get to work putting things back to normal.
ruptured:( death dwellers legacy generation legacy generation book 6)
I love this author’s MC death dwellers novels. Outlaw and Maggie are the main characters that the other club members are involved in this interesting drama. Hopefully digger and Johnnie survive in the next book. I would like Rule to get mental heath assistance. The novel was heartbreaking and incredibly, but it ends in a cliffhanger. I am waiting for the next book.
I love these characters. Outlaw will be my all time favorite MC Hero forever. Did I get a little upset with him in this book? YES! Did I get a little ang ry with Cash…definitely. Will I read on to see Meggie expertly put Digger Johnnie and the rest of the defecting brotherhood in their place…absolutely.
Ruptured is Death Dwellers Legacy Generation book 6 and this one comes with LOTS of excitement, chaos, action, twists and turns. These characters and their storyline as always are FANTASTIC and when I reached the end of this book I was completely depleted. This author leaves nothing on the table when she's finished a book and Ruptured is not an exception. It's absolutely phenomenal!
Another winner by this very talented author. I always read these books faster than I want to and then play the waiting game. I loved seeing the characters get at least a little closer to each other. There are a couple of characters that could go away in my opinion and some I have loved from the beginning. Love this series and this author so much!
Ruptured dives deep into the chaos within the Death Dwellers MC, as betrayal, strained loyalties, and personal struggles test the Caldwell family. With relationships on edge and danger always close, this gritty story delivers drama, emotion, and high-stakes tension at every turn and was unputdownable.
I'm enjoying the series, Outlaw and Meggie are great characters. I love all the side characters and getting their story., Lots of drama, and spicy moments, I couldn't put it down, I can't wait to read the next book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
In Rapture, Kathryn C. Kelly delivers a tense and emotionally charged novel that blends raw romance with dark secrets. This gritty fiction demonstrates Kelly’s knack for wrapping the reader in experiences of tumultuous love, power dynamics, and personal transformation.
I can’t say enough about this author. Everything Kathryn writes is so good. This book continues the drama. It’s funny. It’s exciting. Heartbreaking. Dangerous. Sexy. I mean really one of the best written characters ever.
This series along with all the drama just keeps getting better with each book, it is funny, exciting, heartbreaking, with lots of piss you off moments. This author knows how to grab your attention and emotions and keeps hold of them and leaves you wanting more.
Axel is my favorite child of Outlaw & Meggie. Some of his antics genuinely made me lol. I honestly love this series. I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
