I never planned to lose my virginity at an underground masquerade ball. But I never planned to meet him either—Nickolai Vaughn. My father’s greatest enemy.
He’s older. Ruthless. A powerful venture capitalist with blood on his hands and a reputation built on destruction. And that night, masked and nameless, I gave myself to him.
It was supposed to be a secret. A mistake I could bury. Until the test turned positive.
Now, I’m carrying the child of the man who’s spent years trying to ruin my family. And when the truth comes out, everything explodes—secrets, loyalties, even my sense of self.
He says I’m his now. But how do you trust the devil when he’s the one who set your world on fire?
this book had alot of potential but I think it needs to go through another round of edits or at least another round of alpha and beta reads. there were some major Grammer, spelling and sentence structure issues... but mainly there were some massive story and time line issues that were insanely hard to overlook.
such a confusing book too many contradictions I don't think even the author knows what she wrote here .... it reads like someone's notes and ideas on a possible book too much politics not dark at all the spice was meh everything was meh 1.5 stars for the effort
This is a good book, she had a one night stand with her fathers enemy. It was her first time and her father wanted to control her. She found out she was pregnant ant he promised her he would be there for her. She hid it from her father but in the end it came out and he wanted her to stay away from his enemy. She moved in with him and other people tried to tell her story, in the end the press got to much for her and she told her own story. His enemies and her father tried to brake them up but they stood fast. The trued came out and those who tried to forced them apart did not win. In the end there love overcome every thing and they had twins

It's a fast read, and even though there's no mafia stuff (it's just mentioned), I love Jules' story. She breaks free from her dad's control and doesn't want to live in his shadow. She's supposed to do what he says, but she does her own thing, even with a surprise pregnancy and a complicated romance. She won't be bossed around.

This book had soooooo much promise but it was a choppy read. Some parts read like an extended run on sentence. I only finished it so I could review it.
