When nine and a half year old Lucy and her Pomsky puppy Cody accidentally trigger the auto-launch system of a new experimental space-ship, they find themselves trapped aboard. The ship launches them into space, and via its warp-drive, crash-lands and maroons them upon a strange new planet far from home...
The planet is populated by two factions of robots. One, the war-like Murkers, the other the peace-loving mechs. Lucy and Cody seek refuge with the friendly mechs, but with the Murkers planning to capture her and use the space-ship to conquer the universe, can Lucy and Cody hope to stay safe?

I would surely place this book as a light and funny YA read.

Phenomenal! Light and refreshing even when there are terrifying moments for the main character and her pup. It feels like it could be read by a younger audience as well as adults because Avory has a precision with her words that makes every single word important. This book, like everything else Avory does, leaves me itching for more, but in a good way!
