An heiress battling amnesia must piece together which of her four suitors ultimately stole her heart in this upbeat, self-aware reverse harem romcom manga!
Fans of Narumi Hasegaki’s other work Boss Bride Days will fall in love all over again with her swoon-worthy art style and vibrant characters.
Mia Takanashi, heiress to the famed Takanashi Group, has had the world at her feet since birth. With the future of the company to think about, deciding on a marriage partner early would have its advantages. However, just as Mia set her heart on one of several charming suitors, amnesia from a freak car accident sets her back to square one! Four wildly different boys appear before her claiming to be her intended fiancé, but which of one of them did Mia ultimately choose? She may just have to fall in love all over again to find out!
[Thanks to Netgalley and Kodansha for an ARC of this manga in exchange for an unbiased review.]
Heiress Mia has a fateful encounter with Truck-kun and appears to simply wake up again in our world with memory loss. I say appears, but it sure looks like she woke up in an otome game given the number of hot dudes who suddenly show up as possibly the guy she’d agreed to marry before her accident.
This is a very specific type of story, reminiscent of Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You, where several flavours of desirable male show up to woo the plucky heroine. And there’s no real mystery because you can safely bet that the guy on the first cover is the likely winner of the romantic rumble.
I will admit right now that this isn’t my preferred style of romance, so adjust your own ratings accordingly. However, this turns out to be kind of a good time and I’m actually going to keep up with it. Taking chances on reading material can pay off.
Mia is okay, she seems to have been a hyper-confident heiress and I’m wondering if she’ll find out that she wasn’t as great as she thinks. I did really like the twist when it seemed she had ignored the model guy at his job all this time, so the amnesia is being applied well at least. She’s a little hapless, but not a total marshmallow.
Either way, seeing her discover skills and aspects of her personality again is a good enough hook for her. Her design is attractive and the mangaka has an eye for fashion. There are some choice outfits and that ballgown is stunning, at least to my hoodie-and-jeans-is-formal-wear eye.
Okay, let’s be honest though - the real reason to read this is because of Issei, who is likely Mia’s fiancée but also just happens to be a smooth-talking con man. He’s such a unique character, sort of like shojo Lupin, and that elevates the whole thing.
The way Issei just keeps popping up all over the place via various cons is a riot and he outclasses the other guys by a mile. The scene between him and Mia with the cards is one of the most electric I’ve read in a bit. This seems to be doing ‘con man and amnesiac to lovers’ and makes it work.
Mix in the other guys, who amount to much less (okay, the tsundere is great because they always are), plus some reasonably well realized gags? You have yourself a fine time. Everybody ending up living together is just one of many nonsenses in store.
And it’s nice that the guys are all just meeting and aren’t friends. I think seeing a group of guys get blown apart by their mutual love is a lot less fun (see: Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You. Here there is obviously nothing holding them back and they act like it.
I’m not knocking this because it has exactly zero mystery either - that’s just genre conventions. I think the only manga I ever read that managed to have a genuine mystery to its romance was The Quintessential Quintuplets.
There’s also a bonus chapter for the mangaka’s previous series, Boss Bride Days, which is great if you read it and ‘who cares?’ if you didn’t. I’m always ambivalent about these. Then again, it reminded me that I read three volumes of that series before I dropped it. Which is also my review for that series.
3.5 stars - this hews closer to the mangaka’s other series, A Springtime for Ninjas, which I preferred, in terms of tone and with Issei causing trouble I’m definitely coming back for more. If you like the genre it’s a no-brainer.
I do enjoy a good amnesia plotline when done well. It's done well here, but the suspension of disbelief re: the money, hot guys who are flocking around Ms. Milkshake and the apparent lack of real jobs is a bit jarring.
Not sure why the Con Man is allowed to hang out with the MC h who has no memory, he is SUPER shady. Also, I highly suspect my Ship, the male model, is going to sink, so I am not going to be actively pursuing the rest of the volumes. It isn't bad, but I am not in the mood for heartbreak/disappointment after getting invested in the characters.
3, this isn't a bad way to kill some time, stars.
My thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for an eARC of this book to read and review.

"But to have the chance to meet someone again for the first time and learn who they are all over again… that's a gift. And I don't want to let it go to waste."
Okay, listen, I went into this with some doubts about just how much I would enjoy this, because while I like otome game-inspired fantasy stories with reverse harems, it's harder for me to enjoy reverse harems in a modern-day setting, BUT!
Funny enough, this really feels like an otome game in a modern setting! LOL!
The story is a little fast-paced, but I really like Mia as a character! Considering she has no memory and five guys are trying to say they are her lovers, she's handling things pretty well! LOL!
Speaking of the guys, outside of the con guy, I really like all of them! I DO have an instant fave (and how could I not when he's saying things like, "get your hands off my future wife!" EEEEPPP!!), but I think all of them are fun and so different that it felt really engaging to read the whole volume! (Honestly, read it within 30 minutes, which is pretty rare for me!)
ALSO!! BOSS BRIDE DAYS SHORT STORY?! HELLO?!?! I absolutely loved what I read of that one, and despite not having finished reading the series yet, I squealed seeing those characters again!!
Overall, I came into this with some reservations about how much I would enjoy it or if I would want to read more, but I'm definitely adding future volumes to my preorder list! If you're looking for a fun story with plenty of attractive guys where you question what their relationship is with a well-meaning heroine, I would suggest giving this a try! It's a fun one!
And so i breathed in the familiar smell of mangas again...
I used to read a LOT of mangas in my years, it slowly, I feel like I've... Drifted away, and this book felt like finding an old perfume, but it's just me.
In it's core, this book is a reverse harem amnesia trope. Mia wakes up from her comatose position to find herself met with the decision of choosing between not one, not two, not even three but FOUR super gorgeous men, out of whom she was supposedly on the cusp of marrying.
Now, there a lot of things about this book that don't sit right with me. For starters, instead of being apprehensive about her position, Mia immediately accepts it. And in the time jump, she proceeds to live with ALL OF THEM LIKE OKAY I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED OVER THERE.
There isn't really much substance to anything yet, given that there are only three chapters in this volume. With a few cute scenes mattered here and there this book felt like a raggedy quilt clumsily arranged together, held together only by the thread of STUNNING ART STYLE (The guys all looked a bit similar to me in a few scenes but overall I found myself being really appreciative of the beautiful art style).
So all in all, if you wanna turn of your brain for a while and read a short sweet read that's REAL EASY on the eyes, go for it!

𝓟𝓻𝓮 𝓡𝓮𝓪𝓭 Thank you NetGalley for the advance copy of the book in exchange of my honest review.
I received this manga from the publisher on Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
I have to be honest I fell for this one because of the pretty cover and the gorgeous character designs! Just look at it! And I can tell you the story is also fun!
Meet Mia. A superduper rich girl and the heiress from Takanashi group. She has a harem of suitors around her and just as she was about to announce who she was going to marry/who was the boy of her dreams… she gets into and accident. And then wakes up some time after in pure confusion. She has forgotten all! Including the 4 hot boys storming into her room. From that moment I just couldn’t stop reading. I was invested. I was curious if she would figure out who she picked or if, due to amnesia, she would fall in love with someone else. I mean it is all possible, I have read enough amnesia plots! Not to mention her personality seems to have shifted as well. At points she is the same, at other points not. To the point that she herself also talks to herself as pre-amnesia Mia and the Mia she is now.
Then there are the 4 guys. One arranged marriage fiancé (who I was unsure about but maybe he is just like that guy from the WEBToon that was recently finished and he is a good guy, so far we have seen some good moments), a guy who is a conman or at least acts like that (and he just pisses me off with how he thinks he is all that and has a right be with Mia the most), a hot model (who looked a bit clumsy but was by far my favourite), and a cute brother-type (who I never really saw as a dating prospective sorry Ririto). And she has to find out who she was going to marry. And guess what, in true harem fashion they are now all living together. Chaos ensues!
The amnesia at times goes further than just forgetting who to marry. She has forgotten items/objects from daily life. Forgot how to act in high society. And more. So it is good that she has 4 boys around her who are there to help her. Because her parents? They never once show up. Yup. Rich parents who apparently don’t care about their daughter beyond getting her married off. Rude. Yes.
I loved Mia and I loved her get closer to the guys. To figure out what happened and how to go on with things. To tell the boys little bits of things she remembers. Like how the model thought that pre-amnesia Mia just didn’t care about him/his modelling work and now-Mia told him the truth by the bits and pieces she gathered/remembered. That was such a sweet scene.
The art and the character designs are just so pretty! I love it! The cover isn’t just a teaser it is the real deal.
All in all, I am invested. I need to know who she will pick, if she will remember more, and what is going to happen next. I would recommend this one to all fans of amnesia plots x harem!
I had SO much fun reading this manga, I highly recommend picking this one up if you enjoy a good romcom like I do!
Great cover, so cute and pretty! And there are a few full color art pages at the start too.
Our main character, Mia Takanashi, is the sole heiress of the Takanashi Group.
She was just about to tell someone on the phone, who she’d decided to marry, when she has an accident which leaves her unconscious and it soon becomes clear she has lost her memory.
4 guys show up at her bedside, she has no idea who they are but apparently they are all her boyfriends?!
Boyfriend 1 is Ririto Suzumura, who grew up with her and is more than her best friend. I didn’t really see him as boyfriend material tho, more like a happy go lucky, kinda childish but really fun friend!
Boyfriend 2 is Kei Mitsui. A very seductive top model (man, that stare!!), they’ve been together for a year and they’re very close.
Boyfriend 3 is Tsurugi Jinguuji. Their parents set them up, it’s political and he insists it’s nothing more than that but the more you read, the more she gets to see behind his armor. But the guy really needs to be a little less tense oofff and show his feelings a bit!
Boyfriend 4 is Issei Asami and he’s apparently a con artist so basically an intruder and a lier. But he really makes things interesting! I don’t really know how I feel about him tho, he is definitely taking things slow with Mia and seems to have a plan. What was surprising to me was that he’s not hiding the fact he’s a con artist. He’s very confident!
I liked Mia and how she gives them all a chance. Her parents kinda suck tho but she has her group of guys to count on :).
The part where she moves in with?? was hilarious and she soon realizes it’s kinda nice to get to know her boyfriends all over again and she can see why she fell in love with them!
They all have their struggles and I think there’s a lot yet to come in the next volumes.
I look forward to read more about these great characters and their mysteries, and probably a whole lot of fun friend moments too!
Thank you Kodansha and NetGalley, for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest review.
I'd like to thank Kodansha and NetGalley for providing me with an eArc.
This was a cute beginning to a story! Definitely a new twist on reverse harem which made me laugh several times. The characters are stereotypes but the story still feels fresh and fun and i can see myself enjoying the rest.
The art was also quite good and pleasant to look it.
First of all thank you NetGalley, Kodansha Comics and Narumi Hasegaki for letting me read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
The illustrations were absolutely amazing! Really loved them. I haven’t read a harem in a while and I have to say it was confusing to say the least, though I will most likely pick up the next one if I can.
I recommend it but give it a little time, trust me. The illustrations also really help. I would like to know more of each character so we can have different eye to the story. But maybe in the next one 🤭🥰
I feel like it’s so obvious who fiancé was. Like Issei is giving really strong male lead energy and the others feel like supporting cast but idk maybe a curve ball will be thrown in. Idk I’m interested in the mystery and the journey and the art style is really cute.
Thanks to netgalley and Kodanasha for the eARC of this manga.
rating is 2.5⭐ It's always a Truck. I've read a few reverse harem before and was curious to try a manga this time. I was definitely interested, but when I started reading the narration fell a little flat, until it picked up and made me very curious. By the time I was deep into reading, the manga finished, *cries*. I will pick up the second book for sure. I like how she's taking this as a second chance to discover herself again, understand who she is and who the boys are. It seems like she didn't know them before, and didn't spend enough time with all of them, so to see her putting in the effort to understand them and fully see them warms my heart. All the boys are adorable and beautiful in their own way, and I'm definitely interested in seeing more of them. I wish this volume had a bit more of mystery side to it, some questions to answer, so we'd be hooked enough to want to jump into the second one to solve it. It also seemed very fast paced, she immediately started living with them even if they're strangers to her at the moment. Even the con artist. Which was just weird, as she could have taken some time to know them before and feel more comfortable in their presence before jumping into living together. But I guess since it's a manga it's normal to be this fast paced. Still enjoyed it and would definitely pick up a second volume to read!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This was okay. Art was gorgeous, and all of the men were *chef's kiss*. However, I just felt too much meh at the hand waving that happened in this manga. I get that it's just a cute, silly rom-com. And in some instances, the guys did better about respecting Mia's boundaries than they originally did.
But there's just some con artist hanging around that nobody really does anything about? Mia apparently was with three different guys to figure out which to marry, none of them knew about the other, and they don't remark at all once learning the truth? It's like the manga was trying to capture the ridiculous factor that OHSHC has with its cast, but without depth or much thought. That, or maybe this is aimed purely at, like, 13 year olds who would just gobble up all the pretty art/men and vibe with the ridiculous time. I'll admit, my 13-year-old self probably would have enjoyed this far more.
To current me, though, I just kept wrinkling my nose at all the things that were just brushed off.
The premise is one I deeply enjoy: memory loss or some other event leading the main heroine to wake up with several people proclaiming to love her. It's such a fun set-up, but sadly the execution here falls a bit short. There's not enough distinction between the men at the early stages so I kept getting people confused with their initial introductions and there's a clear forerunner already which takes the slow burn development fun out of it.
There's some sweet character moments that I hope continue as the story develops, and I'm looking forward to see the other character's get their time in the spotlight.
Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the ARC!
This manga was so interesting! 👀 It’s an amnesia story, where we have 4 guys all vying to be the FMC’s love interest but she has no idea who she was in love with! There are secrets galore and suspicious actions. I am incredibly intrigued!!
Also the art style is so absolutely adorable! I’m blown away by the cuteness.
Highly recommend to those who love the reverse harem trope and who love a heroine who is optimistic and cheerful.
I really enjoyed this story and the art was beautiful. Ririto gave me Momiji vibes. I loved his character but don't see him as love interest material. I was a little confused why they allowed a con man to move in with them as well. Besides that I thought this story was cute and funny at times. I can see myself reading more of this in the future
This was such a fun and quick read! Mia wakes up from a coma with no memory of who she is, but has four suitors insisting that they were potential marriage candidates before her accident. They try to support her while she tries to remember not only which man she decided to marry, but to remember herself as well.
The artstyle is so cute, and I adored the way each guy interacted with eachother. This is a very light-hearted read with adorable banter. It truly makes you wonder which suitor was the one she was set on before her accident. I cant wait for the 2nd volume!
This was fun, funny, and fast paced. It's completely implausible but it's also aware of it. It's also kind of obvious who the lead will end up with, which I'm fine with because he is by far the most interesting character.
This was cute. The art was beautiful and I was entertained but it moved soooooo fast. The FMC was a bright, bubbling, ray of sunshine who didn’t question these boys at all. She wants to trust their intentions so much that I found her inability to look deeper into them a bit weird. At least question their intent a little bit. The concept is fun and I was interested to read the next page but I had a lot of moments of “really?” I would continue to read other volumes though! Definitely curious to see what happens next.
This was so freaking cute!!! Oh my gosh, such handsome men and such wholesome moments. Loved every bit of it. Thank you Netgalley and Kodansha for this arc❤️
I never read a manga that has memory loss as the whole plot and I kinda like it, is it wrong if I'm in the "why choose" fan base? 😅 Can't wait to get to know the boys and the old Mia 🥰
Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for this e-arc for review!
This was such a fun first manga into a story about an amnesiac main character and 4 guys saying they want to be with her when she wakes up and she's trying to remember them and find out who it was she had decided to be with prior to memory loss. Got me interested in checking out the next book in the series when it comes out too, so I'll be keeping my eye out this series now!
This is from the same maker as Boss Bride Days and has the same idea: a girl has to choose from four very different suitors who all profess their love for her—or the position and money she’ll bring.
Mia has lost her memory, and when four guys show at her hospital bed, claiming to be her boyfriends, she doesn’t know who to believe. So they all move under the same roof and she starts to get to know them—and herself—again. I’m guessing it’ll take a long time.
This is an adult version of Boss Bride Days, though only in a sense that everyone is an adult and not a teenager. Otherwise, it’s much the same: more experienced guys and a clueless chit. It’s not a bad start to a series, but I didn’t find it terribly exciting. Art is good. Afterword says there’s a cameo from Boss Bride Days here, but I didn’t spot it. There’s also a bonus story from Boss Bride Days.
I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you so much to Kodansha and Netgalley for a digital copy of this manga in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
After seeing so much praise for this series, I really expected to love it, but unfortunately, I didn't.
In my opinion, the story lacked depth and I also struggled to connect with the FMC. For example, how the way she accepted her new position without hesitation and how she was okay with her three love interests moving into the house of her other love interest (she was staying with him) even though he was not okay with this, when he told her to say something she just laughed.
But one thing for sure is that this manga has a stunning art style.
Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC of this volume.
Mia has suffered an accident and lost her memory. The problem is....she has 4 men claiming to be her boyfriend/fiance. With her family's business on the line, she can't afford to make any mistakes. Who is her man? And who is lying?
This was so much fun! What a neat concept. And the art was fantastic! All of the boys seem to be good contenders for Mia's heart.
"I knew I was right about you. You're the perfect target." - Issei
Truck-kun strikes again! Mia's about to make the biggest decision of her life and announce who her husband to be is, only that famous truck got her first. Waking from a coma, Mia finds that she has lost all her memories. Suffering from amnesia she has to try and retrace her steps to figure out who the man she fell for was.
Lucky for Mia the man of her dreams will be right by her side every step of the way. Problem is there are four of them?! One of them being a con artist who is very upfront about that and Mia being his mark. Is that really all she is to Issei? Mia will reestablish her past and unlock everything but, in the meantime, she may just fall in love with these men all over again.
". . .I'm the one who decides who I get to be from now on." - Mia
I wanted a cutesy manga to read, and I ran across this one. The cover and description had me, not to mention my favorite legend being a main part of the plot. I love how truck-kun has just evolved over the years. Honestly surprised no one has made a story dedicated to truck-kun and its antics!
Mia's such a sweet character and a bit too innocent. I enjoyed watching her misadventures and romantic panic moments! She puts pieces together and finds that some of her past life activates or habits she no longer wishes to hang onto. Proving she is smarter than people give her credit for at moments. Realizing just how lonely past Mia must have been. I loved watching how she did her own research and leg work putting her life back together. Not relying solely on the guys.
Issei had me laughing several times along with his antics. Tsunugi's going to have white hair by the time this whole ordeal is over with! I respected the fact that Issei didn't hide who he was or what his profession in life is. Being a con man and pushing Mia to not take things at face value. Asking hard questions about the other men and their words. Challenging Mia to look at things with a different perspective since she is very wealthy and has amnesia. Playfully reminding her at every turn not to trust him either.
This read is very light and fluffy, there are of course some serious undertones and situations. This is a work of fiction, and I believe there's more to Issei but if you do meet a con man in real life, turn and walk the other direction. I didn't really catch any language and there isn't any nudity other than bare shoulders and upper back.
I love all the guys and the different circumstances of how or why they're in Mia's life. The first panels of meeting the guys were very funny, one of them climbing in through a window! Romance is building slowly since the guys have their memories intact, but Mia doesn't. All of them wanting to take things slow and ensure Mia's comfortable. There are some cliche tropes but personally I love them in this manga! I don't know how this will all end and who Mia will choose. I have my vote, but I'd also love it if she could be with all of them!
We do have a cliffhanger, and I really want the next volume! Will be continuing this cute series and seeing what more chaos and drama will unfold amongst the guys!
Enjoy the manga and don't forget to give the author some stars!
Comunque spero davvero nell'uscita italiana, perchè mi interessa tantissimo!!!!
Grazie Netgalley per avermelo fatto scoprire!!!!
-------------------------------
This first issue definitely won me over (yes, I immediately went to see if it was published in Italian)! It's a reverse harem with the amnesia trope. The protagonist has an accident and loses her memory. The problem is that she wasn't just in one love story...there's the childhood friend, the model, the boyfriend from the arranged marriage...and a con man, and obviously the protagonist can't remember who she was really in love with. I usually hate the amnesia trope, especially when it's tacked on at the end of a story that's about to conclude, but I have to say it works really well this way, because everything is there to discover, and like the protagonist, we know nothing! This way, we can identify more deeply with Mia's POV. I found it strange that the various male protagonists didn't offer her photos or other physical reminders of their relationship (maybe that will happen later), but as the con man repeatedly reminds us, how can Mia be sure those memories of their words are actually real? The lack of her family is certainly a huge and truly devastating flaw in the story...how can you leave your daughter in a coma for two months and stay quietly on the other side of the world? What monsters of parents...
Anyway, I really hope for an Italian release, because I'm so interested!!!!
I requested "Love at First Memory" because I was looking for a light-hearted rom-com, the cover caught my attention, and I was surprised to see it was a reverse harem, a trope I love but had never seen in manga before. I went into it with a lot of reservations, especially when I saw that it was aimed at teens, but I think they did a good job of keeping it pretty innocent.
This book captivated me quickly, with its beautiful art, how expressive the characters were, but most of all with its heroine. We watch her deal with the struggle of suddenly not knowing who she is or who to believe, but she never loses her self-respect and spine.
Her solution to realising that she doesn't know which one of the 4 guys around her she is dating, and being lonely on top of amnesiac, was moving all of them to the same house, so she can get to know them, and they accept, because she is a queen. Mia might be one of my favourite straight heroines in manga ever.
The boys were also much better than I expected, with all four having distinct personalities, storylines and arcs, and I loved all of them, even the liars. They all have chemistry with Mia and treat her with respect.
This was the first manga with straight romance where there is consent! DID YOU HEAR ME? CONSENT IS RESPECTED!!!!!! Call the news and Bella Hadid.
The expression "face card never declined" being used unironically did take me out of the story, but the book never crosses into cringe territory, and this is definitely a series that I hope to continue reading.
A part of me does wish that this was aimed at adults, but the yearning was so well done, I don't feel as if I lost out on anything. That is, unless there isn't any sword crossing and the author wastes their great chemistry and the tropes that could be explored through them.
This was a great time and a really well-told story. I need the rest of the series or some charitable soul to recommend me similar stories.
Thank you to NetGalley, Edelweiss and Kodansha Comics for this DRC.
Thank you so much Netgalley and Kodansha Comics for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I haven't read anything by Narumi Hasegaki before and was really interested to change that because I liked the blurb and cover of this manga and I don't regret reading it one bit.
The story is about an prestige heiress named Mia who, after what seems like an accident, wakes up in the hospital with no memories but four fiancees instead. Confused and struggling to understand what happened Mia tries to bring her memories back in order to uncover who her fiance really is. But to archive that she has to retrace her steps and find out for whom she made up her mind before her unlucky encounter with fate.
Mia as a person is discovering herself through the eyes of a stranger and I'm interested to learn more about her personality before her accident. Just imagining stringing four guys along doesn't really make a good first impression, but her naive attitude and positive view on life simultaneously make her lovable and happy-go-lucky. I'm intrigued to learn more about her in the upcoming chapters.
Now the real hook of this story, in my opinion, is called Issei Asami - the first MMC to have been introduced and hopefully the one she chooses to marry. Issei is brushed off with the title of con artist because no one initially knew him but given the way we encountered him, crying and desperate, I would bet money on the fact that he actually is the true fiance. Or so I hope.
I loved how we got to know all the different MMCs throughout the first volume and the way Mia started to remember let's me hope for more thrilling encounters and more insight into what really happened. Special shout out to the way Issei was just always randomly popping up.
I can't wait to find out how the story unfolds and could really need the next chapters now, please?
↪ 2026 book #8! ─2★ I am new to the whole manga universe but even I could tell how cliché this was. I finished it within an hour and now, I have nothing to hold onto except a single question: who is going to be her endgame? And guess what! We'll probably have to hold off on that question until the last volume. This volume is basically an intro to the story. The FMC wakes up in the hospital with all her memories wiped to a scene where, not one but four drool-worthy guys claim her as theirs(one of them goes to school btw). But since our pretty little FMC remembers none of it, she is placed in a setting with all of them to find out who it was that she loved but never got to confess to before the accident. I really appreciate the art style; it was quite pleasing except for a few scenes where I had to recheck the guys because they looked too similar. As for the story, it didn’t offer much beyond a handful of adorable scenes. There was a clear lack of depth to the FMC and one thing about me—I can’t handle a bland FMC.I mean, what do you mean she woke up half-dead and just accepted whatever cooked-up story was fed to her? For God’s sake, she didn’t even bother contacting her parents or doing a basic cross-check. She simply went ahead and started living in one of the guy’s homes(the same guy who claimed to be her fiance) and mind you, she didn’t even know it was his place. She then went on to trust the con artist (yes, one of the four guys) who quite publicly fooled her. But it doesn’t stop there, hold on. She says and I quote, “I can see myself falling for them all over again. All four of them!” Okay, I get it with the other three but how defenseless does one have to be to include someone who literally lies for a living? I don’t care if she ends up with him. All I’m asking is—what happened to her survival instincts? Thankyou to NetGalley for the e-arc.
At first glance, I was drawn to the cover and the title, then I read the synopsis and thought, "Hmm, is this really for me? " In the end, I'm pretty happy I discovered this title! I'm not a fan of the harem aspect, but here it's full of humor and it's not forced.
Ultimately, we follow a story that is more comical than romantic. We slowly discover the characters and their sensibilities, but also our heroine, who intrigued me. There's also talk of amnesia, but it's done pretty well (thank you, Truck Kun, so present in webtoons).
I also saw that it's a 5-volume manga, so you can tell that the story knows where it's going without dragging on. There's no toxic masculinity either. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. I'll probably be tempted to read this short saga in a while.
Thank you, Netgalley, for allowing me to read this title in advance!
