In Dream Mates there are more answers and more questions. There's more science and world information. There are changing relationships and new bonds. Spencer and Jett both shined throughout. The cliffhanger from Deam Girl is quickly addressed so it's not hanging over these characters for chapters upon chapters. Learning more about what Grace went through broke my heart. This one had a little less on page spice, but it fit with what was going on.

I just really genuinely love these characters and this world. I like that none of these characters are perfect, but they are all trying to be good humans. No one feels like a trope or a caricature of a person. All of the different relationships are deep and nuanced with realistic dynamics and interplay. Again, trust, communication, and boundaries are an integral part of the pack.

Prepare yourself for the last third of the book. There's action and drama and it gets a little messy, so you'll want to make sure you have dedicated reading time until you finish.

When I read Jane Handler's books, I always feel like I've dived into her characters' lives. I fear that I will be living in a state of purgatory until I get my hands on Dream Pack, the final book.

Part two of the Dream Mates series and we get quite a few answers to the questions that came up in book one! I'm not going to give anything away, but the twists and turns that come up are so intriguing!

I loved that we get more depth and development with the other pack members in this book. While book one was more Grace/Wes/Evans focused, I definitely feel like this one was more Grace/Spencer/Brennan/Jett focused and I'm all for it!

All I can say is wow! I love that each book just gets better and better and it has me totally looking forward to the final book in the trilogy to find out how Grace’s and her packs story ends. I love how this book answers so many questions that were left open after its predecessor but leaves me with just as many by the end. Speaking of the end, this one’s cliffhanger is a bit more of a brutal one in my opinion so I’m glad that I only have a month or so to wait until the release of the final book of the trilogy. The story itself was addictive and I found the book really hard to put down and I absolutely love the characters, Grace was a favourite secondary character of mine in Finding the Forward pt1 & 2 and I’m absolutely loving getting to read her story in these books. I would highly recommend giving this book a read!

probably more like 4.5 ⭐

we finally have answers as to how Grace came to be in this world and the circumstances in which she was injured. By the end of the book we have answers but also more questions about Grace's parentage and family.

I really enjoyed the development of the characters and their relationships in this book and felt that Spencer and Jett really stood out. I also felt that Brennan has redeemed himself for the treatment of Grace in book 1, and I find myself really routing for him and Grace to become something.

be warned, there is a cliffhanger at the end and I need the next book now! 🤣

I received an ARC of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily.

ARC READER: I really enjoyed the second book in this series. The cliff hanger of the first book had me at the edge of my seat to know what was going to happen next, the book picks up right where you left off. While the first part of this book deals with the cliff hanger, I wish there was more to these parts from Grace's perspective. I also kinda wished for an epic rescue on the guys part, however it was kind short and to the point and not my favorite part. I really liked seeing more of the character perspectives, Spencer of course being my favorite. I also enjoyed the drama going on with both Brennan's mother and everything thats going on with Grace. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I was more invested in the story than the spice. While the spice was a great part of the book, I really wanted to know more about the characters and the stuff going on with the overall plot. I'll never say I wish there was less spice more so that whenever a chapter was mainly spice I treated it as a filler chapter that didnt add to the plot and just paid off something that was referenced in the previous or earlier chapters. I also felt the book was really long and some of the chapters sometimes lost my attention. But I still inhaled the book at lightning speed.

The relationships between the characters is my absolute favorite part of this series. I love that they communicate and are opened to criticism when needed. I also like that they hold themselves and each other accountable thus creating a really great pack that anyone would want to be a part of. They support each other and are endless in the affection the give/receive and its lovely to read.

THAT CLIFF HANGER ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I was shocked when I read it and was so mad the next book isn't out yet! how dare the author😂 i cannot wait to see how that pays off in the next book and hope the story goes a little deeper into how the hell all of that happened in the first place.

Overall, inreally didn't enjoy this book and cannot wait for the next one!

I received a copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review. All opinions are my own.

My love for Wes might span the universe, but is it enough?

If I thought the end of book 1 was cliffy, then damn, nothing could compare to the end of this book. I am so rooting for Brennan, and I really can't wait to see them happy together. This book definitely focused more on Grace and Spencer and more background info in comparison to book 1, which was very Grace. Evan and Wes focused. Which I really hope means book three will be more Jett and Brennan focused. Especially with what we had learned about Jett and Brennan in this book, boy, do I really need more of that in my life. I am also just truly obsessed with this world and the pack. I love all of the characters, and every time I learn more about them, I fall more and more in love.

Wow, this was a great read. It was the second book in the trilogy, so it quickly picks up where the first book ended.

This book really delivered in every way. There was suspense, drama (on several fronts), family, relationships and bonding. Each piece was an integral part to the storyline and based on this book, the third book should be one heck of a read.

I do have to say that I definitely wasn’t expecting the turn of events and was intrigued by the storyline wrapping up the first book’s cliffhanger. Moving on from that, Grace learns more about her new world and further builds on her relationships with the guys. Spencer is a much bigger part of this book and I loved him immensely. He was perfect for Grace.

Riley continues to shine in this book. There is just something about her that is super special. I love her character so much!

We also get some answers about how Grace and Verity are sisters, which we knew from the Finding the Forward duet. This is extremely complicated and heartbreaking but I’m looking forward to Grace building relationships with her newly found siblings.

Overall, this was a fabulous read as part of a really well done Omegaverse trilogy. I can’t wait to read the last book!

If I could go back to yesterday and reread this for the very first time, I would. Dream Mates hooked me from page one and refused to let go; I devoured it, and now I’m left absolutely feral. Grace’s journey into a world that isn’t hers, piecing together the truth about who she is while falling deeper for Wes and his pack, had me laughing, crying, and clutching my Kindle like it was oxygen.

Wes may be the alpha of her dreams, but let me just say… in my dreams it’s Brennan and Spencer who stole the entire show. Brennan owns my soul with his strength and protectiveness, while Spencer’s quiet loyalty and tenderness melted me into a puddle.

The romance was chef’s kiss <3 emotional, steamy, and dramatic in the best possible way. And BTW, after the way the cliffhanger in Book One nearly destroyed me, this book went straight for my heart and gave me a full on heart attack. I don’t know how I’ll survive waiting for Book Three, but I need it now.

Holy f**k nuggets! book 2 sucked me right in from the cliffhanger from book 1. Let me tell you, when I say this was an rollercoaster of emotions, it was, so much moments of anger, sadness, happiness, anxiety, confusion, and much more. Grace is navigating her way through a new world, mates, a pack, her past traumas, and new dramas that arise. There is so much that happens in this story that it keeps you on your toes in anticipation, not knowing what will happen next. There were quite a few surprises and conclusions that were brought to life. This series is a must read, it will not disappoint one bit. I loved everything, from the main characters to the side to the plot to the spicy scenes to bonds that were formed to the emotional depth. LOVED!!!

Oh man, my heart was pounding and in my throat for the first couple of chapters because of the actions that left us with a cliffhanger from the first book.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story’s flow as the pack became more comfortable and closer to Grace. Some of those scenes were 🥵🥵🥵🥵 the rest of the scenes were sweet and heartwarming. While some secrets were slowly unraveling, more were emerging. Honestly, I never want this story to end.
Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🔥🔥🔥🔥

“Mmmmm, magic dick,” Grace groaned “Full of Happiness” 🥵🥵🥵

I was not emotionally prepared for this 🥹

This story gripped me heart, soul, everything. I laughed, I ached, I swooned (looking at you, Spencer 👀).
The characters feel like home, and somehow each one managed to burrow deeper into my heart—yes, even the ones I didn’t expect to love. There’s pain, healing, chaos, and this deep sense of found family that hits so hard.

Just when things started to make sense… BAM. More questions. More tension. And now I’m stuck waiting for the final book like 🧍‍♀️.

Seriously, how am I supposed to move on from that ending??

I wasn't sure how Jane was going to top the first book, but somehow she took the five stars from the first book and made it Infinity on this one. The communication between all the characters is written perfectly and the spice is spicing. If you're in a book hangover, this series for you!

Also she sets us up with another cliffhanger, so I am excited and ready for the next book.

Thank you to Jane for sending me this book as an ARC!

absolutely amazing!

How in the cliffhanger am I supposed to wait! Oh my lanta, I loved this book. It was even better than book 1. So much to unpack as Evan would say. I cannot wait for book 3 I need my questions answered.

The guys are really great in this book I love seeing the dynamics change. It picks up right from book 1. Spencer aka Daddy….!! Was so amazing and really listened to Grace and knew her so deeply. I loved seeing more of the real Bren. Grace is great,I loved seeing her come into herself and finding who she is. Riley is still the best.

I will say I had not read her other series, HockeyVerse, first. And I am kinda glad I did not. I am reading it now but there is a lot that happens in this book that if I had read the other series might have spoiled things first. I do recommend reading both because you meet so many characters in this book series that are in the HockeyVerse. Love the connections!

This takes place right as the first book lets off. Grace is thrown for a loop and she didn't realize what had happened. As she learns more and gets more comfortable within the pack she discovers a few people who are set on making her disappear and ruin her life.

I loved this book so much. I almost want to re-read all of the other series after this one is over now that I know more about Grace and see how this all plays out.

Genre: Adult Omegaverse Romance
Spice: 3/5🌶️
*spice ratings are relative to similar books in the same genre*

✨This is book two in a series, and as such, they MUST be read in order. While this takes place in Jane’s hockey universe, you do not need to read those series first✨

The Catalog: MMMMFM omegaverse, portal / FMC falls into alternate world, scent-match / soul mate, forced proximity, amnesia, she dreamed of her soulmate, found family, established pack, alternate designations, slow & fast burn, mysteries, omegaverse science, pierced peens

Kink: cock warming, fisting, soft Daddy Dom, bondage (shibari), power play (light Dom/sub vibes)

Synopsis:
This book picks up right after book one’s cliffhanger: To settle into her new life, Grace will have to unravel the mysteries of her memory loss, while determining exactly how she landed in parallel world.

Thoughts:
This series is spectacular! I am obsessed with the concept, the omegaverse science, the theoretical components, and all of the different little intricacies that make this world so unique!! This series is absolutely brimming with mysteries, reveals, secrets, and, of course, knots.

The initial hook is that Grace dreamed of her scent-match while existing in a world without designations, then suddenly wakes in a world with designations, where her mate, Wes exists. Except, she has no memory of how she got there, or who she is. BUT the story is SO MUCH more than that, and I am obsessed with all of the little twists and turns!

The pack is made of five men and Grace; three alphas, a beta, a male omega, and Grace, who is a gamma. Jane Hander’s omegaverses include alternate designations, which are fully explained in the books. I adore each member of the pack, but will admit to having a soft spot for Spencer, the slightly older alpha who lost his first mate, and Brennan, the pack leader, who does anything to protect those he loves — even if those decisions aren’t always the best. Grace herself is a badass STEM queen and I adore learning about her life as she regains her memory.

Each book has thus far ended on a cliffy, but the story will be completed in book three, Dream Pack. I recommend this series with my whole heart!!

More secrets revealed.

Dream Mates by Jane Handler
Dream Mates, the second book in Jane Handler's Into the Parallel Omegaverse series, plunges readers deeper into a world of complex paranormal dynamics, interdimensional travel, and high-stakes romance. Following on from the first installment, we pick up with Grace after her arrival from another world and her immediate, confusing connection with her scent match, Wes.
Jane wastes no time in escalating the tension. As Grace begins to acclimate to her new world and Wes's pack, her journey is violently interrupted when she's taken by the mysterious and menacing Temporal Authority. This kidnapping is a pivotal point, initiating a cascade of secrets that are finally revealed to both Grace and the reader. Upon her dramatic return, the emotional landscape deepens. The bond Grace shares with Wes and Evan evolves, and she forms a new, meaningful connection with Spencer, setting the stage for a truly complicated and intriguing dynamic within the pack.
The heart of the action, however, occurs when Grace is once again targeted—this time during a symposium—and subjected to testing for an illegal designation. It is here that the novel delivers its biggest punch, finally unearthing the long-held truth about Grace's life and revealing her true parentage. This moment of revelation is expertly handled, providing a genuine shock and completely reframing everything the reader thought they knew about her origins and her place in this parallel world.
Handler deftly manages the increasing complexity of the Omegaverse rules and social structure while keeping the focus squarely on Grace's emotional and physical journey. The relationships are compelling, showing the nuanced challenges of forming a multi-partner pack under extraordinary circumstances.
Dream Mates is a whirlwind of action, intrigue, and passion that significantly raises the stakes for the series. It answers major questions while simultaneously weaving a thicker web of danger. The ending leaves the main characters facing imminent peril and promises even greater revelations to come, setting a thrilling stage for the next book, Dream Pack. Fans of the Omegaverse who enjoy action-packed plots and intricate relationship dynamics will devour this installment.
Verdict: A riveting second book that delivers game-changing reveals and leaves you desperate for the final chapter.

Book 2 was just as great as book 1 and I can NOT wait for book 3!! That cliffy is pretty steep.

~~ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 I think it's possible there was more spice in this one than the first one

~~ Relationship Development: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 This book felt like it focused more on developing the relationship between Grace and Spencer as well as introducing a more romantic relationship between Grace and Jett/Brennan

~~ Pacing/Plot: ⭐⭐⭐/5 The story line itself is great, but there were moments that there was a lot of information thrown at you in rapid fire that made it a little confusing. I think that if I hadn't already read Verity's book, I would probably be even more confused.

~~ Overall, I think this was a typical "book 2" in any trilogy - progression of characters and relationships over significant plot developments (at least until the end with the typical cliffhanger). I'm eager to read book 3 and cement the relationships while wrapping up the plot. I truly enjoyed the book and can see myself rereading it in the future once all 3 are available. I would just be reading it all straight through as if it was one (really) long book.

I also have some thoughts on possible things that are going to happen in book 3 and I'm both nervous and can't wait 😂

- That scene between Spence and Grace? IYKYK 😏😏

- I'm not sure how to feel about the heat scene with Brennan and Grace. No matter how I feel, I do think that it was handled well and was authentic to the characters themselves - the awkwardness post-heat, the thoughts of "do I want this? Should I want this? Why do I want this?" from BOTH characters, etc.

- Brennan's mother is a ^insert your expletive of choice^ and I'm really happy to see the "break-up" happening. I love that most of his family is supporting him, too. I'm rooting for a "healed" relationship between Brennan and his twin.

- My only true complaint is that I wish all the scenes between Grace and her biological family were sprinkled throughout the whole book. I found myself a little confused at times because everything was tossed at you near the end of the book really quickly. This may be a "me" thing though only because I sometimes struggle in books where there are a lot of names and relationships introduced around the same time.

Everything Grace has ever known is a lie – with the exception of the love she has found for the love she has for her soulmate, Wes, and his entire pack. Ghosts of the past threaten the pack and the new life Grace is starting to build for herself in a world that isn't hers. And as she unravels the truth about her past – and herself – it could actually change everything.

When Worlds Finally Collide, We Finally Belong.

Dream Mates is A Why Choose Omegaverse Fated Mates Romance and is the 2nd book in the Parallel Omegaverse Series by Jane Handler. This is the 2nd book in Jane Handler's Into The Parallel Omegaverse Series. It does take place in Janes Hockey Universe, but you don't have to read either Finding The Forward duet or They Call Her Ladybug duet before you read this trilogy.

I was so happy that this book picked up after Dream Girl ended, after all Dream Girl did end on a cliffhanger. In order for Grace to settle into her new life, she has to figure out all the mysteries of her memory loss while she tries to figure out how exactly she ended up in this parallel world.

Right away we start getting the answers to some of the burning questions that Dream Girl left us with. But, at the same time, we are left with more intriguing ones. Over and over again I found my heart breaking for Grace as life just kept knocking her down and it felt like she just couldn't catch a break no matter how hard she tried and yet, the strength and integrity she showed was just inspiring.

I loved the way that the pack just circled around Grace through this entire book and just supported and loved her no matter what.

Wes, Evan, Spencer, Jett, Brennan, and Grace together make the perfect pack.

Grace is such a badass and more than that she is the STEM queen. And as she regained her memory I just adored learning about her life and who she was.

Wes did what he had to and stepped up and into his role as Alpha but more than that he worked on himself, wanting to become the leader and mate that his entire pack wanted and needed.

Evan is perfect just the way he is. I just love and adore him. I feel like he is kind of a scene stealer and I can't get enough of him.

Spencer has this selflessness about him and the scenes that he's in make me so happy and that makes me so happy that Grace has him in her life.

Jett brings this fun, lighthearted energy into every scene he's in and he can just draw your attention. But, at the same time, he never overpowers the rest of the pack. He's like the fun, lighthearted balance that the pack needs.

Brennan completely surprised me in this book. He's done a complete 360, Alpha'd up and he kind of stole a small part of my heart. He finally found his place in the pack and it feels like he is more engaged in the pack dynamics now. He is slightly older than the rest of the pack and he sadly lost his first mate. He is the pack leader and will do anything and everything to protect everyone he loves – even if the decisions aren't the right ones.

Honestly, I can't wait to see what the entire pack can accomplish now that they are more complete and the bond between them all is more solidified.

Riley remains one of my favorite secondary characters. I just love her sharp wit, and she has this ability to banter that never fails to make you laugh and it always brightens up every scene she is in. And I just loved the siblings that we got to meet in this book, they all had me in tears in all the best ways and it was just a joy to meet them all.

The Professor, the kids, and their pack really intrigue me. I'd really like to get to know them better and I hope we get to know them better in the final book. I have a couple of theories and I want to find out if one of them is correct or not.

Jane has outdone herself with this series. I have always loved the concept of the omegaverse, all the theoretical components, and really all the little intricacies that make the OV world feel so real and yet so unique. And with this series, Jane has done a spectacular job in giving us everything from the portals to mysteries, the reveals, secrets, and of course we can't forget the OV knots.

Grace herself is what binds this what will initially hook anyone onto this series, first, she is dreaming of her perfect scent match all while existing in a world without the designations or understanding what the designations or what a scent match even is. She doesn't even know where her mate, Wes exists. Then suddenly there she is, in his world, with no memory of how she got there or who she is. But, I found the story to be about so much more than just all of that, and honestly, the twists and turns that Jane gives us are what have me so obsessed with this trilogy and have me hungry now for the third book.

Grace quickly learns all about designations, packs, and everything. And Grace's pack is made up of 5 men. 3 Alphas, 1 Beta, 1 male Omega, and Grace who is a Gamma. I adored that Jane's Omegaverse includes more than just your typical designations but also alternate designations, and I love that Jane explains these fully in the books.

I loved each moment of this roller coaster of emotions, this book had me laughing one minute, crying the next, raging at all the injustices, and I was even chewing on my lip in anticipation. Jane has done such an incredible job with this book and I can't wait to go back to the first book and read the entire series from the first book to the third.

I knew that this book was going to end on a cliffhanger but I know that we will soon have book three and the story will soon be complete in Dream Pack.

I have to recommend this series with my entire heart and soul and my entire being. This is such an amazing series and it lives rent-free in my head day and night.

WOW! Just WOW! This book picks up from the cliffy in book one - so DEFINATELY read that first. First of all - did I devour this book in two days, Yes, yes I did. Did I put off all my work yesterday to read AT WORK because I couldn't stop - also yes. Was it worth it - ABSOUTLEY YES! (It's so hard to talk about without giving anything away - but I'll do my best to relay my enthusiasm and keeping it spoiler free!) I'm just in awe by the development of this world we're reading in - the imagination and creativity to create not just an amazing Omegaverse world - but also the depth and details is just so good - and especially the science part. We get answers from book #1 - but we also get MORE QUESTIONS - so many more questions!! I like that in this second book we see more of Spencer (yes DADDY in his slutty little glasses), Jett and Brennan (and def some potential foreshadowing of what their relationship could entail in the future and I hope I'm right with this thought lol cause it's got potential to be super steamy!). We get to see more pack dynamics as they come together to go through Evan's heat together, support Grace, fight off Queen Mum and deal with this new pack creating drama . We meet Grace's biological dad and the rest of the family - including characters we already LOVE from Finding the Forward - (seeing Verity get an eyeful of a big hunky omega male for the first time in Evan - made me giggle and kick my feet!). Like alot of Jane's books you get ALOT of story - but I never feel like it's enough when the book is over - well worth the investment. Anyway - I loved this so much. Go start Dream Girl - and add this one to your TBR so you're ready for release date - and good news the 3rd and final book is set for publication soon as well! Thank you Jane for a chance for another great ARC read!

Wow, just wow! This book was everything readers expected and so much more. Ms. Handler gives readers the puzzle pieces we have been missing since Verity's books. We are getting the inception of all the drama the Thornes have in their family. Read "Finding the Forward." That's all I am going to say about that. If you read book one (please do that before you read this book), you know it ended on a cliffhanger. Grace is taken from the pack house and they don't know if she will come back. Unfortunately, Evan is going into heat so his mates have to make a trek to the cabin despite not knowing what is happening the Grace. Wes and Evan can't even feel her and her cellphone does not work wherever she is. This situation is taking a toll on the pack as a whole. Brennan is finally read into Grace's true story. Grace has managed to get under all of their skin. Brennan can only make sure his mates are okay now. Thankfully, he let go of any animosity he held towards Grace. With her gone, he sees how much she means to not only the pack but him as well. This is not the biggest thing that happened in this book. Readers will get a lot of jaw-dropping moments with this one.

Spencer is in the middle of courting Grace. When she does come back, he ramps it up a notch. Grace is available to help with Evan's heat. Evan and Grace seem to be feeding off of each other and this heat is intense with the whole pack involved. Things go back to normal. Grace starts working at Spencer's company, Compass BioTek. While at a conference, Grace meets Creed Thorne. They look just alike. Grace can’t even comprehend that she might be the Grace they are looking for. She is from a parallel world and she can’t tell them how she knows she’s not their Grace. This is where she meets all of the Thornes. The ones that want so desperately to find her and the one that did not want her ever surface. This book takes readers on a whirlwind ride. Who is Grace? Does she have a family? Who raised her? Things get wild not only on the outside but also in the packhouse. The Thornes are not going to go away. This life is something no one planned on. Here we are. I can’t wait to see where this goes.

So Dream Mates - Book 2 in the ongoing trilogy of Into the Parallel Omegaverse.

I'm torn. The first half of the book finds Grace reuniting with her mates and having her relationships with Spencer and Brennan really progress. That's where the majority of the interaction between those 2 packmates take place. But it moves....... at a leisurely pace. Like very leisurely.

I'm sort of skipping the details of the going back and forth between worlds because.. ahhhh.. does it really add much? Not particularly IMO. It's a neat idea, but I found the science aspect and trying to reason your way into a multiverse kinda thin. You find that Grace's parentage isn't quite what she thinks, and that plays a huge role in finding siblings she never knew she had, along with with a dad.

When the book gets down to the family and how awful some of that particular pack is, that is when the book really gets going. (Her siblings are alllll awesome, that's where Verity,Creed, Hale, Mercy and crew come in - probably after the halfway mark) I found the reuniting of siblings or found siblings to be the highpoint of the book because Grace longs for family. She obviously finds that with Wes, Evan, Brennan, Spencer and Jett - but this is different - its not romantic, its a solid bond of family who have been torn apart because of the actions of some pretty awful people.

That's where the book shines, when it focuses, not necessarily on the external plot and conflicts, but the building of relationships and the interactions between EVERYONE. Brennan starts to understand what Grace has been through and subsequently is less of a dick. Spencer makes his move and starts to court/romance Grace. Evan and Wes support and love Grace as best they can.

You meet Verity and Mercy from Finding the Forward and that's pretty cool to see how welcoming and eager they are to meet Grace. From there, the book picks up the pace and the cliffhanger ending is a really big bummer because two people get hurt - and you don't know what the result of that will be.

Aside from that cliffhanger ending lol.. I did enjoy this one. She does a great job at writing men who are dickheads, but redeem themselves. (and that's a fair assessment, because if someone is too much of an ass, I stop reading altogether)

** ARC copy **

Finally we get to find out what happened to Grace. I was honestly a little annoyed with the first book because it ended and we still didn't know how all of this even started (great tactic to get people coming back for more btw). There are still a few things we don't know about but I'm sure we'll get all that information in the next/final book.

This book talked a lot about genocide and a lot of other important issues that we are dealing with today but instead of it being propelled by race or ethnicity it's propelled by designations (A/B/O hierarchy) which I found to be both very creative and accurate. This book talked a whole lot more about the multiverse and all the legal stuff that was touched on in the first book.

I think I figured out who my favorite of the reverse harem is. The first book made me think it was going to be Evan because… well it's Evan. I don't really think I need to elaborate on that but now that we got more of Spencer I'm starting to think he'll be my favorite in this series. He's just so sweet and caring. Watch the next book make me change my mind again.

Also I finally found out what about this book is making me cringe (cringe isn't a bad thing. In fact I enjoy cringe, it was just really bugging me that I couldn't figure out what it was.) It took reading two whole books and re reading a few chapters to realize that it was the fact that Grace sometimes uses teenage millennial slang that was making me cringe. Now that I'm aware of what it is I'll be able to shrug it off as a generational divide thing and have even more fun with this series. I also feel that the way she speaks really fits her audience's demographic very well, solely based off of what I've seen from the other arc readers of this series.

I finished Dream Girl with soooooo many questions & theories…and I am very happy to say I finished Dream Mates with some answers, some theories confirmed, still a lot of questions & some new theories 😂

Grace is one of the strongest FMC I’ve read. Knowing even more about everything she went through just solidifies that for me. I absolutely love the relationship she has with Riley. For all the family Riley has, she needed someone like Grace in her life and I am so glad she has her.

Evan & Wes’s relationships with Grace were mostly the focus of book 1 so I love that while we still get to see her with the two of them, we got so much more of her with Spencer & Jett is starting to wiggle his way in too. Brennan was super icy to Grace in book 1, in book 2 he has been slowly thawing out when it comes to her & I cannot wait to see him absolutely fall for her in book 3…at least that’s what I hope is going to happen 😘

This book is over 600 pages, but if you asked me I would not have guessed that because it DOES NOT feel like the book is that long with how quickly I just devoured it. The way Jane has built this incredible universe and all the different aspects of multiple worlds, a police force that monitors traveling between them, and the complexity of each relationship dynamic between the pack, their siblings, plus other family members is just insane. If I tried to create something like this it would be a disaster but she has done it so amazingly. I really cannot wait to read the final book in this series!

Thank you so much Jane for letting me read an ARC of this one! I was dying from that cliff hanger you left me on & getting my hands on this one early was a blessing!! 🫶🏼

Where Worlds Collide, We Belong

This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, laughing one minute, crying the next, raging at the injustices, and even chewing my nails in anticipation. Jane did such an incredible job with this installment, and I’m absolutely loving this series.

The story dives right in where book one left off, answering several burning questions while raising even more intriguing ones. My heart broke for Grace over and over again, life just keeps knocking her down, yet her strength is nothing short of inspiring.

I adored the way the pack rallied around Grace throughout this book. Wes really started stepping into his role as alpha, working on himself to become the leader his mates need. Evan was perfection as always, and I couldn’t get enough of him. Spencer’s selflessness made me so happy that Grace found him. Jett brought such fun, lighthearted energy he instantly drew my attention. And Brennan? Wow. He completely alpha’d up, did a total 360, and stole my heart. I can’t wait to see what he and the rest of the pack accomplish moving forward.

Riley remains a standout with her sharp wit and banter that never fails to brighten the story. And don’t even get me started on the siblings introduced in this book they had me tearing up in the best way.

I’m also really intrigued by the Professor, the children, and their pack. I hope we get to know them better in final book of the series, because I have so many theories swirling in my head already!

Overall, I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for book three to release. Jane has me completely hooked on this series!

A Masterclass in Character Magic
Dream Mates, by Jane Handler

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

📖 MMMMFM | Omegaverse | Why Choose/Poly | Portal Romance | Amnesia | Fated Mates | Male Omega | Found Family | Second Chance | Beta in the Pack | Steamy STEM | Expanded ABO | Billionaire | Forced Proximity |

🔖 Dream Mates by Jane Handler is book two in the Into the Parallel Omegaverse trilogy. This review is spoiler-light, but if you haven’t devoured Dream Girl yet, proceed with caution!
In Dream Mates, Grace’s blurry past life comes crashing into focus–and with those answers come even bigger questions. The truth about her past life is revealed, and in its place rises a whole new family mystery that rocks Grace to her core. Secrets spill, pack bonds deepen, and connections to Finding the Forward continue threading their way through her story.

Jane Handler could start charging tuition for the way she schools us in character arcs. Known for her sharp character work, she takes the threads from book one and weaves them into a beautiful tapestry of love, loyalty and found family. Her worldbuilding also levels up here, taking the portal romance concept and twisting it into something I honestly never saw coming. By the final page, I was already dreaming of book three, desperate to see how Jane gives these characters their happily ever after!

Note: Dream Mates is book 2 of a trilogy and cannot be read as a standalone. Now that I’ve read it, I strongly encourage you to pick up the Finding the Forward duet before diving into this series.

❤️ If you loved the twists and turns of Citius by Greer Hudson, you’ll flip for Dream Mates!

I really loved how this story answered some questions and raised others!

This book picks up right where the first book left off. The relationships and bonds evolve throughout the book. There was also more information about the science and Grace's past. I'm not going to get into detail since I don't want to spoil Dream Girl for anyone who hasn't had a chance to read it yet.

I absolutely loved how we got more information about Grace's background and the things that she went through. I was definitely glad that the cliffhanger from the end of Dream Girl was quickly resolved so it wasn't hanging over us or the characters for a long time. There was a little less spice in this book than the first one, but it really fit with the story arc of this book. I really appreciated how the different relationships changed throughout the book. I especially liked how there was a real emphasis on communication and trust among the pack members. The dynamics were very realistic and nuanced. All of the characters have really detailed personalities with flaws and strengths.

The insights into Grace's past and the introduction of new characters was a little overwhelming, but it felt appropriate since I can imagine that would also be how Grace felt. The last stretch of the book demands your full attention. There is so much happening and I could not stop reading! So definitely set aside some time for that. I definitely felt like this book focused a bit more on Spencer, Brennan, and Jett than the first book, but I loved how we got more information about all of them.

I cannot wait for the last book! I can't wait to read about the resolution for Grace and the pack.
