Shortly after escaping nearly four decades in the banking world, Porter Baldwin and his wife settle in their dream house within walking distance from Siesta Key’s stunning Crescent Beach. In a matter of weeks, the honeymoon ends and boredom sets in. During an afternoon stupor, Porter stumbles across a horseracing channel on his new satellite television system and gets hooked. His obsession drives him to seek a way to predict the outcome of races. Once he stumbles upon a potential solution, retirement life gives way to Porter’s entanglement with low-level, semi-competent organized crime, seedy gamblers, and the wrath of his wife and two grown daughters. Porter if eventually faced with the challenge of saving his creation, his marriage, and his own life, just when things were supposed be getting easy.
