This romance was mostly about sex, which is cool by me. I snort-laughed a couple of times. Tons of side characters, with an extra helping of Kyle being awesome.
On a serious note, this short story is the only time I've read a scene that dealt with a "Yellow" stoplight signal. Thank you to the author for that.

I love the idea of a sentient bookstore! It would be so fun to be able to talk to a bookstore and get book recs from someone who knows every book in the store....it's literally a dream!
This was really fun meeting old friends again, too. I always enjoy seeing some of the past characters come back around, almost more than meeting new folks lol.
I don't feel like I got to know L as much as some of the others since they never gained an actual human(ish) form, but I still had a great time with this book! It was mostly heat, which I'm totally here for, and the dynamic with L, Bobby, and Paisley was a great change!

Stacked is what can happen if you spend too much time with your bookshelves. Lol!
Parker does an amazing job at creating such a fantastical story while also creating characters that feel real and grounded even while they're exploring so many new things.
I will continue to read the Kyleverse and I cannot recommend this series enough!

This is what happens to our sweet and unsuspecting bookstore owner, Bobby! Bobby is a lover of books and bookstores like many of us but he may have a bookstore that loves him back 😏
I was so excited when I found out Nicole was writing about a sentient bookstore and as always she delivered! Not only do we get to enjoy Bobby's budding relationship with L but an old friend comes to town and also joins in the fun! There were so many fun references for readers and creative spicy times. And I can assure you no books are harmed in the process 😂 I love meeting new characters and seeing all of the connections that are weaved throughout this series!

This was not was I was expecting, as I haven't yet read any of the other books in the Kyleverse. They've been on my radar for a while, but this came up as an option to celebrate romance bookstore day, and as it's only 60 pages, I couldn't possibly say no.
I liked the premise, the romance bookstore becoming sentient and knowing a lot about romance and smut because of the content of her shelves, and I wished there was more direct interaction with the bookstore herself, and some more description of the things she could do to humans and they could do to her (to be clear, I mean sexual things. Obviously.). As I said, I haven't read the other books, so I wasn't expecting it to be so open/public and to have others involved, especially from the beginning. It felt weird to have Paisley and Kyle just jump straight in, when Bobby seemed like a typical monogamous guy, but that was just my expectations. Other sentient object romances I've read have definitely been more traditional, in the sense of falling for each other and having a serious, monogamous relationship. So, no shade on this, I was just a bit thrown. Hence why I'm still giving it 4 stars even though it wasn't my fave. It's well written, nicely paced, and I enjoy the cute little picture of Bobby and Paisley atop the bookstack to start each chapter.

Once again Author Nicole Parker manages to take this fun quirky little town and add another incredible couple/object into the mix.
Leather and Parchment is by far the most intriguing book store I’ve ever read about.
Seriously though if you e ever wondered what happens when book store owners stock their shelves.. now sorta have some answers.
Well I mean if you lived in a very special town like this one.
I absolutely adored the MMC Bobby… he really loves his store.
And well his store really loves him.
Paisley, the FMC is a total sweetheart and is super supportive of Bobby.
And well we wouldn’t have a Kyleverse story with our OG ride or die Kyle… who is the least judgmental and most supportive friend you could ever ask for!
Seriously we all could use a Kyle in our lives!
I cannot wait to see what’s next for this little town!

This was every book readers wet dream!
I am not kidding what a masterpiece was this.
I think this might be one of my favourites in the Kyleverse.

But this story couldn’t have been without our main barbie doll, our Ken look a like. The one and only who is in for honestly everything Kyle. Bringing his immense Kylergy and just knowing which kinks to hit when.
And always making sure that there is a rainbow to be found even after the most stormy day.
So are you a good literary sl*t?
Come take a trip to this sentient bookstore.

Bobby’s a lovable romance book reader, and his bookstore, L, is literally alive—always magically making room for one more book and keeping things way more interesting than your average shop. Kyle steps in with his Morse code skills to help Bobby communicate with L. As they start to understand what L wants, Bobby’s spanking kink adds some extra heat. The story turns spicy AF as it becomes a steamy foursome with Bobby, Paisley, Kyle, and L making things vibrate and move. Just like Kyle, L loves to watch the fun and joins in whenever they’re getting creative with their positions. Together, they fulfill all of L’s fantasies. This quirky, addictive read had me smiling the whole way through.

This is a great book to ease yourself into sentient object romance if it's peaked your interest.

I didn't know that I needed to know what would happen if a romance book store suddenly gained sentience. As always this was a fun, steamy, quick read that had my jaw on the floor and my eyes falling out of my head the whole time. These books may not be for everyone but they are definitely for me. I love reading these for a fun time in between my "normal" reads. 60 pages of fun, spicy, to the point sentient romance.

I was a little nervous about this because of my love of book stores, but it's all good.
Bobby (bookstore owner) always seems to find room for just one more book in his, primarily, romance bookstore. Paisley (Owen's sister, as in Owen and Gale) is his FWB, long distance thing.
I absolutely loved this book. It was cute, made me giggle, and cured me of wanting to go to a physical bookstore for at least a week or two (making me financially responsible).

This one was a really fun concept and also a really hot read with all the group spice but it somehow also fell a little flat for me, I felt like it was more about Bobby and Paisley and L didn’t really have much to do in the story, I also kind of felt like the ending was a bit abrupt and didn’t really give me a feeling of closure over all I’ll always read a NP book and I can’t wait for the next one

Once again, Nicole has me going, “OH MY LANTA!!” This SOR is a book lover’s perfect romance. Stacked was amazingly inappropriate and I will be thinking about it every time I go to a bookstore now. Bobby, L, Paisley and Kyle were an absolute steamy dream team together🤭 It was so much fun to see how crazy the Kyleverse town and all its fabulous residents are. I can’t wait to see if L eventually gets a human form or if there will be any more sentient stores in the future!!

This might be my favourite book so far from the Kyleverse!! Who doesn’t want their library to become sentient and bring all your fantasies to life. Needless to say I’m very jealous of Bobby and Paisley and all the fun they get up to with L, and of course Kyle!

Who knew a bookstore could be so frisky? I think all of us romance readers did, but in case you didn't Nicole has written the perfect book proving that the walls really are watching and waiting. For what? To give you a spanking of course! This might be a new favorite in the Kyleverse for me. L, Paisley, Bobby, and of course Kyle were a delight!

A freaking sentient romance bookstore!!! Ahhhh Nicole nailed every book girly dream.
A step back into the Kyleverse is what I needed and meeting Bobby, L and Paisley was perfect. The spice was hitting all the tropes and genres plus the plot was super cute 🥰
