About the author

Christina Yother writes historical and contemporary fiction. She has been involved with writing, blogging, and social media for several years and earned a PhD in 2012 by writing one of the first dissertations to explore how women build community through writing online. She lives in small-town Georgia with her husband and three children where she runs carpool, drinks too much coffee, and avoids wearing real pants.

This book was an inspirational, Christian book that really delivered!

It was a sweet, wholesome, compelling read that keeps you turning and turning the pages looking for more. The characters were well developed and mostly likeable.

It was able to stand alone and deliver an HEA, which is a mighty important point for me.

So I would recommend it to anyone!

The Wheeler family, their past and hope for the future. With a young daughter he looks for a mail order bride. A story of forgiving the past, and looking for the future, and buikding a family. A good clean story with good narration by Heather. Given audio for my voluntary review

Christian Historical Romance

A powerful lesson is taught in this wonderful story! The ending was perfect (except for the retakes in the last few sentences). God is always just a breath away, and forgiveness is always possible!

Reliance is Christina Yother’s second book continuing the story of the Wheeler brothers and their families and is told from the point of view of a mail order bride. This young bride must learn to give and forgive. She must put the past behind her and learn to accept her husband’s past as well. She also learns how to be the mother of an adolescent girl and looks forward to having her own children. She surprises herself and her family with her capabilities, her loving heart, and her forgiving soul. Her husband surprises her with his enduring strength and love. Full of romance, misunderstanding, danger and forgiveness, this book keeps the reader immersed in the world of the Wheeler family. This reader cannot wait for the next chapter in the family saga.

Christina Yother hooks the reader in the first page of Reliance! Elias finds himself a mail-order bride in Lottie, who comes with many secrets and insecurities that will test their marriage. Yother guides the reader through the tribulations of marriage to achieve the happily ever after that both Lottie and Elias crave in their lives. Christina Yother entertains the reader page after page with characters that fight for what they believe in.

I loved this book and read it in a morning over coffee! I loved the story of Elias and Rebecca. It's a sweet story of finding love right in front of your face, regardless of the circumstances surrounding you.

Christina is growing as a story-teller. While Reverie was very good, Reliance is excellent! I can't wait for Hollow Hearts Book #3.

I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one. The characters grew in the story, especially Rebecca. She appeared rather immature at the beginning, but she matured and grew stronger as the story unfolded. And Elias' daughter Lottie was a real scene-stealer.
