He Will Stop At Nothing To Save His Kin Alex’s quest to stop the General’s army of extremists gets personal when someone he cares about is taken. Lives are put on the line and Alex is pushed far past his limits to bring her home.
˃˃˃ A Ruthless Enemy And An Unexpected Reunion The General is ruthless in his attempt to get Drogan back, and he knows Alex is the key to finding his son. Through it all, Alex comes face to face with someone he thought he would never see again. The question is, can instinct and his heart agree on the path he should take?
˃˃˃ Instinct is the third book in the Werewolf Academy series.
Cheree Alsop is an award-winning, best-selling author and the mother of a beautiful, talented daughter and amazing twin sons who fill every day with joy and laughter. She is married to her best friend, Michael, the light of her life and her soulmate who shares her dreams and inspires her by reading the first drafts of each book. Cheree is a fulltime author and mother, which is much more fun than work! She enjoys reading, riding her motorcycle on warm nights, and playing with her twins while planning her next book. She is also a bass player for their rock band, Alien Landslide.
Cheree and Michael live in Utah where they rock out, enjoy the outdoors, plan great adventures, and never stop dreaming.
Even humans have animal instinct characteristics, but usually ignore them to use educated reasoning to find themselves in trouble and often pain.
Survival is a challenge to everyone, but to the oppressed and hunted werewolves pursued by the General, survival becomes the main question of life. The General's destructive tactics and animal experimentation methods result in a rapid decrease in the animals and the people they share their existence with.
Friends and family, school staff, and those they all help join in battle to bring down the General and his evil mob. But sometimes even unacknowledged family can get too close for comfort. Especially when the silver bullets come inside to wreck havoc in the body and blood of those allergic to it. But fangs can bring an allergic reaction, too. Love and fear battle with friends and family to keep it realistic with the enormous issues faced by Academy students trying to save their world.
Instinct is the third book in the series, and this should definitely be read in order. In fact, to get the best from this series, I would highly recommend you read the Silver series first, but then that is a favourite of mine, so I may be slightly biased!
Alex is still targeted, although now it's by the General as the Packs have Drogan. He is going out more with Jaze and the others which seems to help the broken pieces inside of him. If he can help others, he feels useful. It is on one such mission that he is buried alive for a while; trapped in the dark with a young werewolf who is in danger of dying. Alex keeps her alive until they are rescued. It is during this time that he realises Kalia is not The One for him but she is still a very good friend. Now he just has to find a way to let her know without hurting her too much.
I've been wondering when this would happen as it was obvious from his confusion, even before Siale came along, that Kalia wasn't for him. Cassie has found happiness with Tennison so she is able to understand and try to help. I love the lessons from the Professors but I love it even more when Alex goes along on their missions. Only now, it's not just Alex but some of the others too, which makes it even better.
I am loving the overall story arc that I am following and the individual stories within each book. There are new characters to meet, new situations, and new lessons for Alex. One thing I would say, is to make sure you have the next book ready before you finish reading as you will absolutely NEED to continue with the story.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Instinct is book three of the Werewolf Academy series by Cheree Alsop and continues with the adventures of Alex and his pack.
With Drogan taken captive, the General has become more vindictive than ever and the werewolves are suffering for it. Alex persuades Jaze that his pack deserves a chance to help, and so Jericho, Cassie, and the others are trained along with Alex to fight Extremists.
But Alex is broken inside. After a particularly bad raid and with finding out the truth about his heritage, Alex struggles more than ever with the pain he holds inside.
Listed with Silver Moon as the top most emotional of Cheree's books, I loved Instinct for its raw truth about the pain, the heartbreak, and the guilt that Alex fights. He thinks no one understands. He thinks he's alone. And this book, his friends and adopted almost-father Jaze prove him wrong.
Instinct, Book 3 of Werewolf Academy by Cheree Alsop is a fast paced and gripping story. It will be better for the reader to have read the first two volumes prior to reading this book - otherwise they can be a bit disoriented without knowing the characters and the history. That said, it is well written that left me white knuckled all the way through.
This series is just so engrossing. In this book Alex goes on a mission with Jaze and his team along with the Jerico pack. The building they go to is abandoned, but not by much time. They find a pit full of werewolf bodies and were about to leave when Alex's instincts told him there was someone alive in there. Whilst he was down there trying to get her out, a bomb goes off leaving slabs of concrete over the top of the pit. He and the girl he had found were in there for many hours before being rescued. The girl was barely alive when rescue came. Later, Alex found that he couldn't stop thinking about her and at the same time found that he was no longer interested in Kalia in a romantic way. When the Christmas break came around and Kalia had gone home for the break, Alex felt relief. Later that day the school got the news that Kalia's car had been stopped and she had been taken. Alex felt sure that it had something to do with him. They gathered a huge number of werewolves to go rescue Kalia. Would they find her in time or would the general kill her?
This third installment of Alsop’s Werewolf Academy series is another quick and exciting read especially for teens and young adults. The stakes are high as the General kidnaps someone close to Alex in his efforts to recover Drogan, his son.
Once again Alex’s protective instincts kick into high drive and this time, the fallout from his need to protect might just change his heart and his life in unexpected ways. And it looks as if heart issues (as in romantic) have begun to effect not just Alex. I continue to appreciate Cheree Alsop’s ability to spin an exciting yarn without needing to rely on sex or unwarranted violence though this book contains some truly disturbing scenes.
I will continue reading this series and recommend it to anyone who prefers their paranormal stories clean and suspenseful.
So much happening, I don't know where to begin. My little werewolf family is getting bigger. Alex saves a girl from a pit of death and realizes he feels more towards her. Kalia and Cassie talk the professors into having a dance in hopes that Alex will ask her, but does he? Torin seems awfully interested in Kalia, what is that all about? And of course there are kick a** fights and rescues to attend to. I love following these characters through their lives. Ms. Alsop keeps building the scenes and I can almost invision the whole school at this point. I can't wait to start the new book in this series. They HAVE to stop the General!
This book surpassed all my expectations. I love this YA werewolf series, can't believe it's free. I got all 7 downloaded and feel like I'm reading an experienced well known author and can't put her books down I'm almost sad to know there's only 7 of them. I won't give away the plots but be reassured these are on par with our beloved Hogwarts.
Instinct, Book 3 of Werewolf Academy by Cheree Alsop is a fast paced and gripping story. It will be better for the reader to have read the first two volumes prior to reading this book - otherwise they can be a bit disoriented without knowing the characters and the history. Totally loved it and couldn't put it down.
If you love werewolves, you’re going to love this series. Lots of action, suspense and heart wrenching moments! What’s not to love. I could hardly put the book down. We find out a few more things in this book. We see Alex’s strength and endurance. What else is in store for this wolf? Can’t wait to find out!
Another great exciting story full of drama and fun finding ones sole knowing you are different. Kalia has finally turned into a fantastic white female Alpha. Now the general knows Alex is his son I’m sure he will go all out to kill him this time another recommend book in this series
In the process of helping Jaze rescue werewolves in a warehouse, he gets trapped in the sewer with a wound female - who tries to keep alive until the others find him. Now Kalia been kidnapped and Alex will do anything to rescue her even if he doesn't feel the same as her. Will he succeed and what will happen if he sees Saile again?
Wow this was a great book I really like this serious. I would recommend anyone and everyone to read this author and books. She a great writer it's easy reading and fast. I really like these books and author.
This episode had so much going on. Between the evil general and all of his efforts against the werewolves and rivals at the school Alex is having a rough year. His live life has gotten complicated too. I can't wait to see what happens in the next one.
A wonderful series that seems to get better with each new book! Alex and Cassie need to find themselves in a world gone mad against werewolves. Come read about them as they grow up the hard way! Great read!!
Alex, Cassie, and all the students and teachers are great characters. They feel so real and yet not . I like how one small story leads to another and keeps the action going
This book had a much better flow. Previous books meandered, but this one did better at pacing. The ending also didn't feel as abrupt as previous endings. This is the first one in the series I might recommend to a friend.
The characters are strong and have great emotions that make this series, a page turner from the beginning. Each book in grabs you by the seat of your pants.
Really, really interesting book with well developed both main and secondary characters to root for, story to pull you in and writing you will wish was in every book you read.
Better than the last. Not gonna lie, if I didn't have the entire box set, I might have stopped at book one. Book two annoyed me with the discrepancies. Book 3 had the same but the action was better.
Book three in the Werewolf Academy Series, Instinct, continues to follow Alex's and the rest of the werewolves journey. With the General's son, Drogan taken captive Alex has one less enemy to worry about in his quest to protect his sister and all those he cares about. But Drogan's capture enrages the General and he'll do anything to get his son back. Ruthlessly slaughtering werewolves, the General hits Alex where it hurts most and the battle becomes more personal. After a bad raid, Alex becomes forever changed and questions his feelings. Alex struggles with the pain and guilt he carries inside. He's forced to fight not only a physical battle, but an emotional one as well.
Phenomenal! I was sucked in from page one. Alex's emotional journey pulled me in and I was right there with him experiencing the ups and downs of his life. I love how Jaze, from the Silver Series, is a father figure to Alex and is still a major part of the werewolf world Cheree created. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this story. There's never a dull moment for Alex and his friends.
Ms. Alsop has an amazing gift capturing an emotional gripping story that stays with you long after you finish the last page. I can't wait to see where Alex's story goes from here, but I know it will be well worth the read!
I enjoyed the first two books of the series so much, I had to get book three to continue the story line. Another excellent installment of the Werewolf Academy series, but the page count is deceptive, as the author used double spacing to make the book seem longer than it was... it doesn't help that, like the first two books, almost 10% of the page count is wasted on book reviews and marketing the next installments. This story was terrific, with great plot advancement, but the pricing was already more than I like to pay for ebooks under 300 pages, so this will probably be the last I read unless other books go on sale.
