One omega. Four alphas. One ghost. This Halloween, love gets a little haunted.
When Clara rents a strangely affordable room in a gothic Victorian house, she’s expecting bad water pressure, creaky floors, and maybe a spider or two. She isn’t expecting four growly alphas to show up on the doorstep.
Bram, Jack, Dagan, and Victor—known online as the Ember Pack—came to the house to break creative blocks, investigate Great Lakes shipwrecks, and get some work done. They didn’t count on a scent-sensitive omega.
The house, perched on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, was supposed to be empty. But creaking floorboards, flickering lights, and bone-deep chills say otherwise. And when Clara catches a ghostly alpha scent that feels just as fated as the pack itself… she begins to wonder if the house is haunted—or if someone is waiting.
As autumn deepens and the Fall Festival draws near, so does Clara’s heat… and something in the shadows that refuses to stay dead.
Spooky, swoony, and full of heart, A Pack of Pumpkins is a cozy paranormal omegaverse romance with fated mates, found family, haunted house vibes, and all the cinnamon-sweet heat you need for a cozy autumn night.
This is a standalone series. You can read them all, or just a few, in order, out of order, or somewhere in between.
Veronica Samek enters the literary world with her debut novel Alternates. Having spent much of her childhood life between stacks of books at her parents’ second-hand bookstore, she discovered a love for all things reading at an early age which has translated to a love of writing as an adult.
She lives in Michigan with her husband, three small children, and a golden doodle named Doctor (Who).
This is the perfect bite sized Omegaverse for Fall! The cozy vibes and the paranormal elements left nothing to be desired. I loved how the pack came together and rallied for their omega, it was so cute how gone they were for her so soon. I highly recommend this fast paced romance full of all the spooky vibes, steamy scenes, and fall activities one could want!
cute fall Omegaverse rom-com. 🎃 Well defined characters and descriptive setting. Spice scenes repetitive and boring (lots of slick, brief penetration then clit pinch, fini) I skimmed at the end.
Okay so this is every bit like the cozy omegaverse I love but also… WHY WAS I LOW KEY SCARED!?
Also.. there were a couple little things that made me raise my eye brow like a certain phrase and then a particular nickname but idk if I’m being over sensitive so I’ll defer to someone better qualified.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book! It was the perfect combo of cozy Fall, a little spooky, cute, and spicy. I was surprised with some of it, which was nice. If you want something fun and quick and something to get you in the Fall mood, I highly recommend!
Such a great way to kickstart the spooky season! Not only does it have some of my favorite omegaverse characters from this series, but a spooky Halloween twist?! Yes, please! Loved it from start to finish….so much so I read it in a day. Can’t wait for the last one to release! I will be (not so patiently) waiting! Thanks so much for the ARC opportunity! 🩷
How ever I didn't not like it. I didn't loved it. There are some inconsistencies in the book. There for 3 stars instead of four. How ever I enjoyed it still. I will read probably her other books as well. It are perfect in between books. Small bites very smutty bit too long.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Omg!! My first ever ARC read was absolutely blissfully spooky, sweet 🎃.
Veronica Samek has DONE IT AGAIN with the 3rd book in The Omega Book Club.
Clara is one strong spooky Omega who loves all things fall and Halloween. Her pack of Alphas are all swoon worthy... even though one makes you want to punch him for a while. And her ALPHA GHOST 👻 was MY FAVORITE. Wish we got more of Finian he was her biggest protector and definitely the most possessive. Spice: 🌶🌶🌶
My two favorite quotes that had my screaming and kicking my feet:
1. “No. Mine. My omega. My mate. My future. My everything from the moment I saw you. Mine.” - Dagan
2. "He f**ked her in the dirt above my bones, and I came thinking about how she’ll scream my name when I f**k her in the dark." -Finian
I absolutely adored this book. It was sweet and cozy, with alphas finding their omega, yet quite unique.
Clara, the FMC, was such a great character. She was quirky and warm. The alphas were also really well done. Dagan, and his exuberance, was probably my favorite. Jack was pretty unique as well and Bram kept everything together. Victor was a big grump, but even he was a well done character that brought something special to their pack dynamic.
The book’s story was so much fun. I loved the ghost aspect of this story so much. It made for such a fun and unique storyline. Finian was a great character and brought such a different twist to the story.
It was also nice to briefly see the packs from the earlier books make appearances. This can definitely be read as a standalone though.
This is a great series of Omegaverse books and this one was another great addition.
This was sooo cute and cozy! Exactly what I was looking for! Perfect about. Of sugar & spice! It was very insta love in the beginning, but overall a really good fall story and I absolutely loved our ghost alpha!
I was given an ARC copy in exchange for a honest review.
I'm in love 🫠🫠
Plot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smut. 🌶🌶🌶
Going into this book, I was excited but also a bit apprehensive because can you really bring something new after two books? And when omegaverse is quite 'simple' in principle.
Well, A pack of pumpkins definitely had its uniqueness.
The MFC is iconic, and her mates all have their own personalities.
I loved the cozy mood, the spooky elements (I hate anything that makes me scared, but here, there was suspense without it being terrifying).
The smut was good, but I felt like there was a bit too much/always the same?
This is my new favorite book of the series. Like I was instantly pulled into the book from the very beginning and I just enjoyed the whole plot of the story because it was so interesting. It's the perfect for fall and spooky season. So many unexpected twists and turns that normally found in omegaverse books.
I loved this pack of pumpkins the ember pack all different alphas and such great fitting for Clara. even tho Victor was a bit of asshole in the beginning, but I understood why he was so distant towards her. but it was no excuse for him to behave that way to her.
Finian the ghost alpha was best surprise ♥️♥️ that man had me melting so badly..
but yuck henry was trash n shithead for sure .
I loved her friends and how protected their packs were over Clara they just wanted to be treated right n loved like she deserves.
dagan that sweet alpha and the way Clara learned sign language for him n for herself so she could communicate with him & have there connection & more.
Bram, the dominant alpha lord he is perfection 👌 👍
Victor surprising & delicious his piercings omg!!!!
jack was so adorable and hot 🔥 the way he took care of everyone and wanted to make sure Clara was taken care , fed & satisfied [A ladder of piercings climbs along the underside of his shaft to the tip, where two silver balls stick out from either side of the head. I’ve never seen a pierced cock in my life.]
Despite some interesting pack dynamics the introduction of the ghost alpha didn’t work for me. It could have worked but his interactions with pack and Clara were so insignificant he didn’t really feel like part of the pack at all.
I was looking for one last Halloween read and I am so glad I randomly found this one on Amazon because the minute (the literal minute) I started this book, I did not want to put it down. Aside from the omegaverse relationship, which I absolutely adored - I also was obsessed with the mystery within this story👀 Everything kept me in intrigued: spice, chemistry, and ghostly feelings…
I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down! The air of mystery it has and the spooky factor is really enjoyable. It wasn't fully predictable since there were different directions the book could have gone, so I liked being kept on my toes!
Each of the characters has a distinctly unique personality. It isn't insta-love for all of the characters, which adds some friction to the pack and makes the story that much more interesting.
My review isn't going to do it justice, so I just suggest you read it!
(On a random note, I'm not sure why the book is called "A Pack of Pumpkins," but it's still cute!)
This is the most awesome book I have read lately. I loved how the pack is made up with people who are not perfect. Everyone did not automatically fall in love at first sight. Victor really had a hard time accepting a scent sensitive mate. Finnian the ghost alpha really makes his displeasure known when Victor is cruel to his mate. I thought it was cute that each alpha had a pet name for their omega. Spooky girl, Ghost ,Apple , Darling and the most appealing to me had to be Dagan's choice of calling her "Mine". Just a little possessive, huh? Got to admit, for an Alpha who could not speak and had trouble hearing, he definitely got his feelings understood. Great book. I read it in one sitting. Perfect length for an afternoon of reading pleasure.
I think I just found my new favorite book for this season 😍❤️
It was an absolute pleasure to read this, it amazes me how good the author combine the spooky vibes with the autumn cozy atmosphere, it was perfect!
I loved every single one of the characters, I clearly already loved Clara from previous books… she is such a cute and amazing friend, I been dying to read her story!
This is one of the most unique and interesting meet cute that i have ever read in the Omegaverse, it has me so hooked on every word. The alphas are something else, I loved their pack, how different are from each but how good they complement their pack dynamic.
I absolutely love this story, and recommended 100%! If you like omegaverse and seasonal reads this spooky and cozy story is perfect for you!
I never wanted this to end. This was so much fun to read! I love the omegaverse, but add a little sprinkle of something fun and spooky and it made it that much better! I really enjoyed the story itself and each character. Although, the story moves rather quickly as far as the relationships go I feel like that didn’t matter! I always enjoy sort of the odd ball out as far as who doesn’t immediately fall at the omegas feet, so I enjoyed the push and pull with Victor! It also made for a great story with the spooky part! The spice was the perfect amount!
I liked a pack of cozy, i enjoyed a pack of honey, this book though? it was so good!! I was expected a Halloween setting, not a mystery death from 100 years ago, a protective haunting, a ghost playing match maker and a pack that is taking everything in stride! I was on the edge of my seat!! I was just so intrigued!! please read! highly recommend!!!!

🎃 Omegaverse Romance 🎃 Forced proximity 🎃 Small town 🎃 Cosy vibes // spicy* 🎃 Disability rep // sign language 🎃 Easy to read // light read** 🎃 Insta-love-y 🎃 Ghost MMC! 🎃 Diverse cast of characters // POC 🎃 Why Choose
*Spice is quick and frequent. **Simplistic writing.
While I feel that the writing lacked a little depth, and on the side of formulaic, I trust the author has room for growth. The story and the characters were great, very easy read, very cosy and sweet. I had a great time reading it.
“A Pack of Pumpkins” should be called “A Pack of Hotties”. This diverse and inclusive omegaverse story is set in Northern Michigan and has all the small town feels to it. Some “taboo” spicy scenes really made this a pleasure. The character development is great. The resident Grumpy Alpha eventually listens! The haunted asylum scene was great. There is a lot going on in this book; a lot of micro-tropes that keep you on your toes and wanting more.
🏠 Haunted house 👻 A ghost alpha 🎃 Spicy fall romance 🤨 Enemies-to-lovers sparks 😱 Forced Proximity 👫 Courting 👬👬👫 Found family & fated mates
This was a perfect read for October! Clara, an omega, moves into a spooky old Victorian house haunted by an alpha ghost, only to find she would be sharing it with four gorgeous alphas. At first they are at odds with each other, but then sparks begin to fly. This book is high on the spice scale, and over-the-top autumn atmospheric. It has a haunted house, a ghost, autumn vibes, Halloween, spice, & gorgeous men; what more could you ask for in a seasonal story?
Just absolutely amazing. I’ve loved and adored the two previous books but this is by far my favorite! Each character has so much depth and you just can’t help but falling In love with them. And I was thoroughly impressed with the store of Finian and his place in the pack. Can not wait for the next one! Read as ARC.
I picked this series up while on an omegaverse kick and I am hooked. Seeing as Halloween is around the corner this sexy yet cozy book hit the spot. I loved all the main characters because even though some had a physical, mental, or metaphysical they all loved Clara and grew into themselves and the pack! I loved the previous books and cannot wait for Rose and Willow!
10/10 Totally reccomend. This is my favorite so far out of the series. Don't get me wrong they are all good.....but this one... soo good! Love the fall/halloween theme. And sexy ghost alpha? YES PlEASE. Devoured this book, couldn't put it down! So good. Cant wait for the next installment.
I’m in love with this book. It was perfectly cozy yet spooky and I loved the ghostly/paranormal aspect of it. I would have loved more Finian but the book was still amazing as is. I’ve been so looking forward to this book and it definitely exceeded expectations! I can’t wait for Rose’s book.
This was a spicy and spooky Halloween Omegaverse with a fun twist. Clara wasn’t expecting her new roommates to be alphas, let alone her scent sensitive matches. Add in a touch of the paranormal, and things get interesting. Not everyone was ready for the changes life threw at them, but they all eventually got it together. Loved it!!!
I have been very (extremely) excited for this book and it didn't disappoint at all! I am now in love with the concept of a phantom alpha protecting what's his from beyond the grave. (The grave scene. 😏) Beautifully written I can't wait to see more on this town!
