The Blurb : Forty-year-old Faye Lawson is falling back in love with life at last. Finally divorced from her cheating husband, she has turned her back on the UK and has been living the Greek dream in Corfu managing a beautiful traditional boutique hotel. For Kostas Petsas, twenty-something ex-professional basketball player, life as he has always known it is over. Having to take early-retirement because of injury, he’s at a loss as to what to do next. But when a piece of land in Corfu comes on the market, it seems this might be the perfect fit. There’s just a couple of things in the way… an area of natural beauty and… a little hotel on the beach. Kostas has never met any woman like Faye before – she doesn’t behave around him how women usually do, and, when conflict starts to surface, it seems they can’t see eye-to-eye on anything. Or perhaps, when things get body-to-body, both of them begin to wonder if it can turn into heart-to-heart.
My Thoughts : We meet Faye Lawson, in her 40s and freshly divorced from her cheating husband. Faye has moved to Corfu and is managing a hotel she regularly stayed at when her and her husband used to holiday at in the years before. When guest Kostas Petsas turns up, faye learns he is an ex basketball player and in his 20s. The couple get to know each other and we also learn of the reason why Kostas is back on the Island, and soon things could become very messy as he is not a happy chap. Faye’s life begins to turn around but with such an age gap between them will there be sparks or does Faye think she is past having fun. As always Mandy Baggot delivers Greece to us beautifuly, with stunning descriptions of the surroundings, we can almost feel like we are there right in the thick of the story. The food is always a delight and I feel a warmth from the stories that are set out there in Greece. The story is full of Romance, fun, hope and second chances. Although this book wasnt one of my favourites of Mandy Baggot, I am looking forward to more to come.
Graikija, o ypač jos salos, seniai mane vilioja savo gamtos grožiu, įspūdingais kraštovaizdžiais ir nepakartojama atmosfera. Skaitydama knygas, kurių veiksmas vyksta būtent ten, mėgaujuosi aprašoma aplinka ir nuotaika. „Summer ever after“ mane pakerėjo būtent dėl to.
Nepaisant to, kaip veikėjai atskirai man patiko visi: Faye, Kostas, Dimitria, Katerina, Kostas senelė ir kiti.
Faye has found a place where she feels that she belongs after a messy divorce. Her daughter is now grown up and so at forty, Faye feels ready to live her own life, rather than always trying to paper over the cracks. Corfu is a beautiful setting and ideal for a holiday read. Faye has made friends with the locals and in some ways, this is a story about strong women and how they encourage Faye to follow her own way. After Faye meets up with the younger Kostas, she finds herself drawn towards him, despite the age difference. He turns out to have several layers in his character and a complicated family dynamic. Uncomfortable with the adulation of the locals, Kostas has some scores to settle with the community but he finds out that he has some harsh home truths to face up to. With humour and romance binding the characters together, this proves to be an enjoyable escape. In short: facing up to the future Thanks to the publisher
Summer Ever After is a romance set in Corfu. Faye is a divorcee and works as a hotel manager. When a VIP guest, Kostas, arrives, Faye is surprised by his charm and his readiness to help her. The fact that he is a guest and years younger than her doesn't help either. Kostas is a local legend in Corfu, but is on the island for a reason known only to him. And that has nothing to do with a relaxing holiday in Corfu.
I enjoyed the writing style of the author. Mandy has a simple but absorbing way of pulling her readers into the story, and lets them roam free in her location of choice. Corfu is described as a beautiful Greek island that would definitely make readers plan a trip there. I especially enjoyed how the local flavour of the island, like the food and culture, was interestingly woven into the story.
The characters in this book have dynamics that change with the story. For example, Faye's relationship with Kostas, Dimitris, and Saffron has its ups and downs that lend a realistic feel to the story. Another example is the way Faye's ex-husband gaslights her through their daughter. Despite all that, Faye handles herself with grace. She is cautious and realises where her heart is and what she wants. Faye establishes herself as a self-made woman.
I also liked the characters of Kostas' grandmother and of Dimitritis, two elderly ladies, instilling practical advice and logic into the main characters!
The romance between Kostas and Faye, however, could have been explored better. The chemistry between them wasn't convincing enough. It felt like they conveniently fell for each other despite the age gap. Perhaps a little more time would have elevated their love story. The focus was more on Kostas' past, and the conversations with his grandmother were lengthy. Hence, the plot lost its pacing at certain places and was less enjoyable.
Summer Ever After is a quick romance read. If you enjoy romances based on different locales, then you'll find this interesting.
Summer Ever After by Mandy Baggot is a vibrant, feel-good romance that perfectly captures the magic of summer, second chances, and unexpected love.
From the very beginning, the setting is absolutely enchanting. Baggot has a talent for transporting you straight into a sun-soaked escape, filled with beautiful scenery, warmth, and that irresistible holiday atmosphere. It made the book such an easy and enjoyable read—like a mini getaway in itself.
The main character’s journey was both fun and relatable. I really enjoyed watching her step outside of her comfort zone and embrace new experiences. There’s a strong theme of self-discovery woven throughout the story, and it felt genuine as she began to let go of past expectations and open herself up to something different.
The romance was engaging and full of chemistry. There’s a playful, flirtatious energy between the characters, but also moments of vulnerability that added depth to their connection. It struck a nice balance between lighthearted and meaningful, which kept me invested in their story.
The pacing is quick and easy, though at times it leans into familiar romance tropes. While a few plot points were somewhat predictable, the charm of the writing and the warmth of the characters made it easy to overlook.
Overall, Summer Ever After is a delightful, escapist read that leaves you with a smile. It’s perfect for fans of sunny, romantic stories filled with heart, humor, and the promise that it’s never too late for a fresh start.
Faye Lawson spent many family vacations on Corfu, an idyllic Greek island in the Ionian Sea. The gorgeous beaches and lush landscape were a balm to her soul and left her with beautiful memories. When it was time for her to take control of her life she didn’t think twice about accepting a position on Corfu as the manager of the hotel where she had always stayed. She was sad to be so far away from her nineteen year old daughter but her divorce had been long overdue, and now it was her turn to fly. Faye loved her job, the glorious island, and making all of her guests happy! She never entertained the idea of an island romance but when VIP guest Kostas Petsas, a son of Corfu and a former professional basketball player, stormed into her life with his charming personality and flirtatious nature she knew she was in big trouble. Kotsas was back home on Corfu to contemplate the next chapter in his life but meeting Faye derailed his plans just a little bit. She mesmerized him with her graceful beauty, brilliant mind and quick wit, and he desperately wanted to spend time with her. Faye was flattered that Kotsas was pursuing her, but could she actually date a man so much younger than her? What would people think? On second thought, she really didn’t care because this was her time to shine and be her own person and if she wanted to date Kotsas, who was as swoon-worthy as any romance book cover model, then that is exactly what she would do. What could possibly go wrong?

My Opinion
With a lovely setting and some charming characters, Summer Ever After was another delightful novel by Mandy Baggot. Mandy Baggot is an author that I enjoy reading and Summer Ever After was no exception. An interesting read that was difficult to put down.
This is a heartwarming story about learning your self-worth & opening up your heart to love again, set on the beautiful island of Corfu. It’s a really lovely summer romance story.
I really enjoyed the ‘she’s older, he’s younger’ trope, it is fresh, something different & made a really interesting love story. Faye is portrayed as a strong independent women & I really liked seeing this for an ‘older’ (not that old!) woman who was starting her life again, it gives hope. Kostas, although troubled by his past, was also a really likeable character. Although they have a tough ride, their chemistry builds slowly with real emotion, creating a joy of a love story.
All the other characters in the story were real stand outs for me, there is a real sense of community & warmth from them all. The older generation spreading their experience & knowledge was a great addition to the main characters lives & the story as a whole, it made it so much stronger & even more likeable.
Without any spoilers, the main conflict towards the end was a little unrealistic & was just a little brief in my opinion. I’d have liked a little more from it to make the ending even stronger.
It is however, a beautiful mixture of self-growth & a great take on a second chance at love & a wonderful book to pick up on your holidays this year! ☀️

💭 My Thoughts 💭
Firstly the setting of Greece I found really wonderful as it’s somewhere I’ve never physically been but Mandy describes it so well and I loved her vivid descriptions. It’s definitely somewhere I’ve added to my travel wish list.
The characters in the book were also good company. We follow Faye who is recently divorced and moved to Greece. She is a women who does everything for everyone else and like a lot of us do worry about what other people will think. It was really lovely in the moments with Kosta when she let her guard come down I loved seeing the real Faye shine. Her daughter Saffron lives in the uk with her father and Faye is missing that relationship. Saffron I didn’t gel with at all unfortunately. As someone whose parents are divorced and have been since I was 8 years old. I felt she was so childish always going on about them getting back together as she was old enough to understand sometimes it doesn’t work out. Of course then we have Kosta who is the MMC I didn’t like him either at first but as the story progresses I really did come to get attached to him. He turned out to be warm and caring. When his softer side came out to play and he let his guard down. Also when he learns the truth about something from his past I felt truly guttered for him but happy that he finally knew the truth.
Overall it’s a wonderful story to just get lost in and go with flow. It made for a really enjoyable reading experience and I will look out for more by Mandy in the future. I think this would be a good one to take on holiday and read by the pool or on the beach this summer.

If you’re looking for the perfect summer escape in book form… this is it 🌊✨ Summer Ever After by Mandy Baggott is a feel-good romance set in beautiful Corfu, following a woman who heads to Greece after life doesn’t quite go to plan. What starts as a getaway turns into a journey of self-discovery, healing, and (of course) romance 💛
The main character is relatable—she starts off unsure of herself and a bit guarded, especially when it comes to love. But throughout the story, you really see her grow into someone more confident and open to taking risks. And the love interest 👀✨ he’s not just your typical “holiday romance” guy. He’s charming but also layered, and their relationship builds slowly with real emotion, not just instant sparks. The side characters add so much warmth too—they bring humour, friendship, and that sense of community that makes the whole story feel comforting and real. Overall, it’s a gorgeous mix of romance + personal growth, with serious summer vibes 🇬🇷💙 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Perfect for: summer reads, beach days, and anyone who loves a good “finding yourself” story 🌞
I was so looking forward to downloading and reading this book and it did not disappoint. I for one did not expect to not think much about the age gap between Faye and Kostas. It was written in such a way that it just didn’t seem relevant and I loved that. The slow build up was perfect. Faye and Kostas back stories just so perfect. Dimitria is such a character as is Kyriaki. Both straight to the point and typically how you think older generation of Greek women are. I found them both funny but just so caring especially Dimitria towards Faye. The relationship between Dimitria and Faye is just so lovely and heartwarming. Like a mother and daughter. The ending was superb! A perfect way to end this story. It’s made me determined to visit the area of Avlaki one day and I may even track down the wonderful Mandy and buy her a drink to thank her for making me smile through the start of some not so nice treatment. It’s made such a difference and has lifted my mood as I knew it would. Keep writing Mandy because I’ve read all your books and cannot wait for the next one!
This book is a lighthearted romance set on the Greek island Corfu. The FMC Faye is a 40-year-old british woman who after her divorce relocated to Corfu and now works as a hotel manager. She meets the MMC Costas who is 15 years her junior and used to be a professional baseball player. There is instant attraction but there are several obstacles to overcome, not the least of which is that Kostas plans on building a huge resort right where Faye works and lives. This was an entertaining romance set on a beautiful island that will make you want to go on vacation asap. I could relate to the FMC from the start and I loved how she evolves into a more self-assured version of herself throughout the book. I thought the story was entertaining and believable enough and some of the supporting characters were highly enjoyable. Bottom line: another highly enjoyable summer/vacation romance by Mandy Baggot. I received an ARC via netgalley.com and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tuck this book in your beach bag! It’s the perfect summer holiday read.
Faye is a divorced woman, working hard managing a hotel in Corfu. She is also managing the whirlwinda of her daughter, Saffron, who wants her to get back together with her husband, a high maintenance celebrity guest that is in town for a curious business venture and the life she is currently living, trying to move forward by considering dating.
I got swept away amongst the beautiful backdrop of Corfu, Greece. I enjoyed following Faye and her empty nester, divorced phase of life as she found her footing. The fun banter between her and Kostas, along with the unending “encouragement” from Dimitiria to date, made this book an easy, fast paced read.
Thank you Mandy Baggot and Boldwood Books for an advanced copy of this book.
Divorcing and leaving her cheating husband behind Faye Lawson moves to Corfu, a fresh start to find. Managing the boutique hotel where they used to holiday Following her dreams on the island to stay.
When Kostas Petsas at the hotel comes to stay He wants privacy and everything his own way. He's a hero to many who live on the island now But has to rethink his plans somehow.
These two seem always to clash when they meet But maybe that's hiding something more sweet? As family secrets start to be revealed They wonder what else may have been concealed.
A story with drama, secrets and more With a delightful setting to explore. The characters are great and easy to relate to, too - No wonder I highly recommend this to you!
For my copy of this gorgeous read I say a huge thank you As I share with you this, my honest review.
Fantastic summer read. Faye has divorced her husband and started a new life in her favourite place Corfu. Kostas is retired basketball player. Can the younger man charm the older woman? Kostas character took a while to grow on me. Came across like he thought he was better than everyone else and everyone should know who he was! The way Faye dealt with him was just brilliant, helped by the fact she didn’t know who he was! Loved the older characters with there words of wisdom and encouragement. Having never been to Corfu I really felt like I was there, Mandy just has a way with getting you totally immersed and feeling like you are there by the pool, or watching Faye skim stones.
Thank you Netgalley, the publisher and author for the e-arc copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
Mandy Baggot is always perfect at describing magnificent landscapes and beautiful love stories.
It's (still) quite rare to have main characters with a fifteen-year age gap (especially when the woman is older). This creates an interesting dynamic.
Kostas is a charming young man, but his intentions in Corfu remain unclear for quite some time, which makes him intriguing (and unreliable, in my opinion...). Of course, it's a love story, so everything ends happily, with some very amusing twists and turns. The author's signature style!
If you want to travel without leaving your armchair, this story is for you (and it certainly made me want to practice skipping stones).
Thank you to NetGalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Faye is living her dream life in Greece, divorced and her daughter an adult finally she have time for herself.Kostas Petsas ex-professional basketball player have a big plans for land in Corfu, maybe not everyting is lost? What he didn't expect is hotel manager Faye, fiesty and don't treat him like a celebrity, which is refreshing.Faye didn't expect to have a fling with Kostas, beside him being famous,he's also a lot younger, will the age be a problem?
I always enjoy Mandy Baggot books, but this was a miss for me.I loved the beautiful description of the surroundings in Greece, but romance was a little unrealistic.I guess it just not for me.
Thank you Boldwood publisher for arc,my review is honest and my own.
Summer Ever After is a perfect summer beach read. Set in Greece, this story includes multiple layers of life. Divorced Faye left the UK for Greece to start over. Former basketball star Kostas comes to Corfu with a plan that develops a hiccup when he meets Faye. They have incredible chemistry from their very first meeting. I loved watching their interactions as both navigate their feelings. I also loved watching Faye grow more self-confident as the book progressed.
I was drawn in by the fantastic writing and the characters kept me entertained. Faye, Kosta, and Dimitria are written with depth, emotion, and realism. The pages are filled with beautiful descriptions, vivid imagery, and spectacular world-building.
Be transported to the beautiful Greek island of Corfu in Mandy Baggot’s latest novel, Summer Ever After. With sizzling chemistry and a sun soaked setting, we follow Faye as she starts to fall back in love with life. She’s finally divorced and living her dream life in Corfu, managing a traditional boutique hotel. Everything is falling into place, well until a new guest arrives at the hotel. This is a story of self discovery, new beginnings and a little bit of romance. It’s easy to get completely absorbed in the plot and would be the perfect beach read. Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and the author for the chance to review.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book. 3.5 stars. The first book I’ve read by this author and now I want to read more! Faye Lawson is forty and managing a hotel in Corfu. Rich, retired basketball player, Kostas is twenty-five and a VIP guest at the hotel. He has plans to but land and develop a marina, and hotel – employing people not from the area, and not caring about the local impact – he is hurting from past family issues and wants to punish the local community. He’s never met anyone like Faye and she eventually breaks his barriers down – can they find love and harmony together?
Divorcee Faye is living her dream with a new life on the Greek island of Corfu managing a hotel. When 25yo Kostas comes to stay at the hotel sparks fly between the two, however Kostas has his own reasons for coming to Corfu and Faye may not like what she finds out. Unfortunately I didn't believe the age gap scenario with the way it was told. Faye's daughter and ex-husband also appeared to be quite childish which didn't appeal. Despite my drawbacks, this was a cute, summer read, with the Corfu setting well written, making the destination a great escape. Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the arc for review.
Summer Ever After by Mandy Baggot was an entertaining read. Faye spent a lot of her growing up years in Corfu, Greece. Kostas a famous Greek basketball player grew up in Corfu, but remembered it being cruel to his father. Kostas came back to Corfu with intentions of putting those that hurt his family. What he found out was truth and love. This book just gives me wanting to go to Greece vibes so much more now. The author did a great job at describing the city and beautiful landscape. A quaint love story.
Thank you to Netgalley for an early copy in exchange for an honest review.
Faye is recently divorced and living her best life on the island of Corfu in Greece. She is a hotel manager and meets a younger guy named Kostas who is there on business. She later finds out that is a developer that wants to purchase the hotel and turn it into a mega resort.
This one wasn't really for me, I feel like there were a lot of side characters and it felt a little too much like a Hallmark movie at times. It also felt a little too much like insta love for my taste.
Summer Ever After by Mandy Baggot can be classified as a women's fiction novel with a touch of romance. It is the first book I have read by this author, and while it wasn't perfect, it was definitely a reliably good book. It is being published today and it is worth a read for those who enjoy a book with travel, romantic tension, and some deeper family issues.
Faye is a manager of a hotel on Corfu island in Greece. A VIP guest at the hotel makes some waves not just in her professional, but also in her personal life. Owing to an age difference and work and family complications, a relationship will have significant obstacles.
I enjoyed the Greek setting here and some of the themes involving the environment and family were interesting. My favourite character was the no-nonsense Grandmother to Kostas, who plays a pivotal role in the story. While I did not connect with the other characters as much as I was hoping, the overall quality of the writing and setting made up for any issues I had with the viability of the main relationship.
Thank you very much to Boldwood Books for providing an advance reader copy via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
I've read many of Baggot's books and have a penchant for her novels set in Greece. I love a good escapism read. One that's instantly going to whisk me away to sunnier climes, leave me with all the feels, and a tan to boot!
Summer Ever After was an absolute dream to read. I quickly lost myself in Faye's story which was a heartwarming story of second chance and self discovery.
Faye's ex aside there was a charming cast of characters. The blossoming romance between Faye and Kostas teasing and hopeful.
Summer Ever After follows a newly divorced woman living in Greece who meets a dashing ex pro basketball player who's looking to develop the land on the tranquil island. The characters have clashing personalities and different perspectives on everything. As they spend time together they learn to evolve and adapt and learn what is truly important. It's a super cute romance and the setting is just ideal and I could 100% picture myself at every location.
Thank you so much to the author and Boldwood Books for this digital ARC.
Another brilliant Greek summer romance by Mandy Baggot!
Sun drenched and dripping with humour this is a great little story. Faye is divorced at last and living for herself in Corfu. Kostas however is angry and bitter at the world and in particular with Corfu he has a plan and he intends on letting nothing get in his way, until he meets Faye.
Lots of gorgeous locations and interesting characters to be met along the way. A lovely little summer romance.
Faye is thriving in her new role as manager of a hotel on the island of Corfu, finally free after a stifling marriage and toxic divorce. When Kostas — a former basketball star returning to the island he blames for his father’s death — checks in, the chemistry between them is immediate. She has no idea who he really is or why he’s come back, and the tension builds as the truth edges closer.
This is another warm, escapist summer romance from Mandy Baggot. While I usually love her novels, this one was not my favourite — partly because it is a little spicier than my personal taste, as I tend to prefer a stronger focus on the emotional journey. That said, I really enjoyed following Kostas as he uncovers the truth about his family and his past. There are a couple of twists I genuinely didn’t see coming, and the Corfu setting is as vivid and inviting as ever.
A perfect sunlounger read, whether you’re by the pool or on the beach.
Mandy Baggot has a knack for creating characters that the reader feels they have known all their life. This is true in the case of Faye, with whom I could immediately identify. The background characters are equally well drawn as is the stunning Corfiot location. If you add in a strong, romantic, Greek hero and a major conflict, there is very little missing; except that I should be reading it on a Greek beach instead of over a damp weekend in the UK.
