As the author, I poured my heart into this story—page by page, line by line. This book represents everything I love: queer love, supernatural chaos, messy emotions, and powerful characters trying to survive in a divided world. It’s spicy, emotional, and unapologetically bold. I wrote the book I wish I had growing up, and I hope it resonates with readers the way it healed and excited me while writing it. Thank you for taking a chance on it. ❤️🖤

The potential is clear
Dontay Perkins can write. Its clear early on that he's gifted with words.
What I feel would make this story better is more world building, a story flow that develops at a slower, yet steady pace. More time given to character backgrounds. The elements are there, but the story feels rushed.
Given time and more attention to the details, I know this author will be one to keep on your list.

Supporting new authors is one of my favorite things to do 😭🫶🏾 the book industry is saturated with the same overhyped books from authors with little to no diversity and we don't hear enough about new authors.
