Alexander has won all of his bets against Jasmine Doran, his fake girlfriend, and currently the city’s most well-known female CEO of her generation.
Alongside that, Aileen Arison, the city’s most beautiful woman and heiress to the wealthiest businessman, has officially joined his harem as his submissive pet.
However, something is standing in the way of the two of them being fully Madam Arison, Aileen’s overbearing, overcontrolling mother.
And so Alexander sets his sights on the Golden Fortune Groups, the Arison family’s company, with plans to make Aileen take complete control over the company.
As he sets his plans in motion, he also starts preparing. For he knows, soon, James Sutherland, Jasmine’s obsessed pursuer, will be making a move against him.
Disclaimer: This book continues the story of Alexander's adventure post time loop. So like before, this will include an unapologetic MC, an ever-growing harem (Only one male, many multiple females. It will remain and end that way), and even more unnecessarily spicy scenes.
Reading the first two volumes is required for the story.
This book was a little bit better edited than the first two, which helps it greatly. It's considerably shorter than the first two novels, and is a quick read. There's a little too much internal monologuing that happens from side characters, but the plot is still interesting.
The MC's first two lovers meet, and seem to get along. The long play woman is still in play, and appears to want to really move forward, but isn't a lover yet. That should be an interesting outcome in book 4, I hope.
Headline says it all lol. My previous reviews have been middling and my biggest complaint, that’s still yet to be addressed, is the lack of any real tension or consequences in the story.
The MC literally has the power to rewind time so I’d expect the author to make use of this plot point to create some interesting scenarios but still, the MC has yet to have a reason to use it. The author even had the audacity to mention this in the story, with the MC saying he hasn’t need to use it because he never fails. Clearly.
The love interest develops and frankly I do like the dynamic between the characters. The weird easterner centric mannerisms and dialogue is still jarring but I do like the ladies. For the most part. This book yet again only really has one single smut scene and at this point I don’t mind that. They’re tastefully done and get the blood pumping so quality over quantity here.
Will be reading the next book. I did enjoy this one quite a bit more. But if my complaint in the first part is still not addressed then I give up on this story and this author. Might as well not have given him rewind time powers in the first place.
Fun premise, just so much filler and overexplanation, kills the books pacing.
I've liked this series premise and the main character. I like he maintains his agency and hasn't really relied on the ability to jump back a day. The harem / adult content is so so and not really different from any other book in the genres. What kills me with the series and wasn't quite as bad in this edition, is the exposition of the characters dialogue, actions and thoughts. It's so unnecessary. The beginning of the book had a showdown between two supporting cast characters that was so over explained it was ridiculous and a board meeting. It just dragged as a reader trying to get through it. This edition was relatively short and it's such an easy read, I gloss over all the filler simply because it's useless information and really has no bearing on the story moving forward. Better editing would drastically bring the story to a true five star.
Another great entry in the Endless Sundays serie! Aileen was just as amazing as ever! I am curious to see how the author is able to balance out the story as Alexander's Harem continues to grow. I really hope that these earlier girls don't get pushed aside or replaced.
I'm really enjoying the gangster vibe of this story it's still going strong. I'm always impressed with how Alex is able to leverage the knowledge that he gained from the time loop. This volume may have been short, but it went back to the formula of the first book with 90% story, 10% romance. I'm not saying that I didn't like the second volume, there just wasn't a lot of plot development.
This series is unlike anything I've read before. I really enjoy the mix of American and Japanese cultures. The mix really makes it feel like an alternate reality.
Pretty much more the same. There are a couple chapters of sex but the rest is psychological manipulation. I wish the MC showed off more of his talents other that just reading people. After 10,000 years he is an expert at many things but reading people and getting what he wants are basically the only thing that he has been doing. He speaks over 100 languages but that hasn't been demonstrated yet. He is also a master martial artist but that also hasn't been expressed. For me that is a missed opportunity.
The author's writing is improving; it has a stark contrast to his first book. I would love to see the progress of the author's writing and this book's story. Pursuant to the story, the MC is utilizing his near omniscient advantage to put himself and his allies into advantageous positions similar to books 1 and 2. The highlight for this installment, for me, is the application of one of the tags (Harem).
All of our characters are fantastic. The story is interesting and keeps you on your toes. My only complaint (and not really one) all the stat/level/reset stuff just disappeared after the first book. I don't really mind because I believe the story is strong even without it. It's just weird that it's never mentioned again after 3 books.
This story was a well done progression. Things are moving forward for Alex, and his growing harem! Well paced, with good character development. It does read like a manga, with oriental overtones, so it can be repetitive. But overall it's a fun read. Onto book 4!
I’m loving the characters so much! Especially jasmine and Alexander’s interactions and the back and forth control they are vying for. Overall, this series as been so much fun to read and I can’t wait for more!
The MC improves his relationship with 3 women. Pretty much at the same time, whilst also helping Frank with his family drama. He is also preparing to initiate a world of hurt on Jasmine's possessive fiance.
A very thought out story with good back stories. Steamy at times but not the entire thing. A good plot just wished he used a little more of the time travel (repeat?).
Loved the plotlines in this. Really gives the reader a baseline skill/power level of the MC. Shows just how high in the power scaling he is able to effectively impact even without much foundation
The writing is still atrocious but the plot is entertaining.. although it's starting to get boring because it's the exact same formula over and over and over...
Movement on the harem front. Each woman is related to a family business that is powerful or rich and he is moving to ensure they are CEOs or top dogs of each company. I have to give it 4 stars because it could use an editor. Way too many exclamation marks. I listen to books with an app, so I don't hear them, but when reading it gets jarring when you have 7 in 7 sentences in a row.
