LOVE.

I have recently been reading a ton of flower arranging books and this one is by far one of prettiest. The instructions are simple and not overwhelming, yes, but also the photos and actual arangements are where it's at. Instead of vacant, empty rooms with just the vase of flowers in the photo, McCord creates elaborate photoshoots and settings for each one and it legit looks like a Dutch painting and I'm into it.

If you're at all interested in arranging your own flowers, and even if you are a beginner, pick this baby up.

As a florist, I genuinely loved how this book speaks to everyone. From seasoned floral professionals to people who know absolutely nothing about flowers. It’s beautiful, inspiring, educational, and full of heart.

What makes it special is the balance: real stories that make you laugh, smile, and swoon, alongside valuable AIFD-level florist lessons and floral insights that are approachable and meaningful no matter your experience level.

Whether you’re in the floral industry or simply love creativity, passion, and beautiful storytelling, this is the kind of book you’ll want to curl up with and savor. 🌸💕

Well first of all it’s GORGEOUS! The photos are so vibrant and the book is just aesthetically so pleasing. The instructions for arranging florals are clear and easy to follow even for a novice, and the content has all the charm of her online presence which I have followed to years. This book would make a PERFECT gift, say, with a bouquet of flowers for any special occasion because it’s just so pretty inside and out! I’m lucky to have gotten on the advance copy list and was thrilled to pop it open and now I’ll just be here all day looking at every single page.

Here’s a polished rewrite that keeps your warmth and personality:

I absolutely adore this book! The photography alone is a work of art. Amy has a way of making floristry feel approachable and fun, even for a beginner. The instructions are thoughtful and easy to follow, and the witty humor sprinkled throughout makes it such an enjoyable read.

What I love most is that Amy reminds us flowers are meant to bring joy — not perfection. She gives readers permission to be creative, have fun, and not take it all too seriously.

This is the second floristry book I have ever read and this one by far takes the cake, for several reasons:

- gives alternatives to all flowers
- mentions accessibility (budgetary, places to get flowers etc) first thing
- history on floristry!! so interesting (not overwhelming, little tidbits)

I wish edelweiss wouldn't invert the colour because that's so integral to a book like this, but the bouquets were beautiful regardless
