From endocrinologist and pioneering expert in longevity, a groundbreaking book revealing the five biomarkers of health, the seven patterns of health decline, and how you can harness the power of precision medicine to defy your genetic destiny and live healthier longer.
Your genes do not have to be your destiny. Endocrinologist and foremost female expert in longevity Florence Comite, MD has treated thousands of patients over twenty-plus years and collected significant data about how to reverse the diseases and symptoms of biological aging. Even into middle-age, you can reverse the unhealthy trajectory you're on, live disease-free and pain-free, be active and happy, and enjoy the energy of your twenties for the rest of your life to beyond 100.
In Invincible, Comite provides a comprehensive action plan using her proprietary data to improve your health and longevity. By collecting the Five Key Biomarkers of Health, a snapshot of current and future health, and analyzing your family health history and lifestyle habits, you can recognize yourself in one (or more) of Seven Patterns of Health Decline. Once you know your patterns, Comite prescribes actions to reverse biological aging, metabolic disorders, heart disease and memory decline, so you can live in optimal health—strong, active, and happy—for the rest of your long life.
While you can't stop adding candles to your birthday cake, you can stop and even reverse too-fast biological aging. Aging badly is not inevitable. Aging well can make you invincible.
Thank you to Goodreads, the author and publisher for a copy of this book.
This is a very comprehensive and well-thought-out book with clear guidance and steps to be taken for longevity. It is very well researched, with references listed as well as a comprehensive health questionnaire in the appendix that the reader can use to better understand their own family health background.
There are a number of key areas of focus touched upon in the book and great deal of practical advice and recommendations, especially for someone approaching middle age. I’m essentially going to be keeping this on hand and using it as a step-by-step guide and implementing the recommended actions as time permits for getting on the path to improving my own health and longevity.
