This is a very comprehensive and well-thought-out book with clear guidance and steps to be taken for longevity. It is very well researched, with references listed as well as a comprehensive health questionnaire in the appendix that the reader can use to better understand their own family health background.
There are a number of key areas of focus touched upon in the book and great deal of practical advice and recommendations, especially for someone approaching middle age. I’m essentially going to be keeping this on hand and using it as a step-by-step guide and implementing the recommended actions as time permits for getting on the path to improving my own health and longevity.

This disappointed me - but first, she tricked me into thinking she was sharing updated new information. So I bought the book. That's $25.00 I could have saved by using the library.
1) - I didn't like the author - she wasn't cutting edge. Falling back on old, sometimes debunked practices that have been updated on YouTube ... if you're a critical and well informed viewer.
2) - I don't think I can spend another 50 pages being lectured on how important sleep is. MY GOD! I've been an insomniac for 3 decades. Where's the breakthroughs for that epidemic. Just the tired old sleep heigene lectures. Darn it.

This book is incredible. Unlike most books on longevity written by influencers, Dr. Comite is a physician who pioneered this space decades ago and has loads of clinical research on what really works. What I appreciated most about the book was that it wasn't just written for people with endless money to spend or unrealistic lifestyles (going to be at 8 pm etc)
There are lots of small, medium and bigger takeaways that I felt could have a huge difference on my health immediately, depending on what I was ready for.
There was so much stuff I had never heard before-- like brushing your teeth three times a day helps ward off dementia!? Wild.
Love the "five biomarkers of true health." Never once has my doctor given me those blood tests. An eye-opener to how backward healthcare is. Your health is in YOUR hands.
